A Study of Efficiency Distributed routing path using LTD(Load Tolerance Density-distribution) in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (모바일 애드 혹 네트워크에서 LTD(Load Tolerance Density-distribution)를 이용한 효율적인 분산경로에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we proposed LTD(Load Tolerance Density-distribution) algorithm using dynamic density for analyzing distribute routing path. MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Networks) consists of the node that has a mobility. By the Mobility, the topology is exchanged frequently. To reduce the exchange of topology, the hierarchy network is studied. However, if the load is concentrated at the cluster head node, the communication is disconnected. the proposed algorithm measure the dynamic density of the node using poisson distribution. And this algorithm provides distribute routing path using dynamic density. The simulation results, the proposed algorithm shows improved packet delivery ratio than the compared algorithm.

  • Mobile Ad-Hoc network is the network of mobile nodes which has no fixed infrastructure, and mobile node in MANET can move freely and communicate with each other. The location management is an important issue because location information of a mobile node is frequently changed in MANET. In this paper, we propose new quorum system applying the gravity of locality of mobile nodes adaptively by using the fuzzy-logic for the mobility of mobile nodes in order to manage location information of mobile nodes in MANET efficiently. The performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated by an analytical model and compared with those of existing UQS and DQS schemes.

  • 이동 애드 혹(Ad Hoc)네트워크는 노드의 참여와 이탈이 자유롭고 토폴로지의 변화가 잦기 때문에 일반 고정 유선네트워크에 비해 보안적으로 훨씬 더 많은 잠재적인 위험을 지니고 있다. 그 중 주변 노드들의 신뢰도에 대한 보장이 이루어지지 않기 때문에 멀티 홉 방식의 라우팅을 할 경우, 악의적인 중간 노드에 의해 정상적인 통신과 서비스를 방해하는 라우팅 과정에서의 공격이 일어날 수 있다. 특히 협력노드를 이용한 웜홀 공격은 단일노드에 의한 공격보다 탐지가 어렵고 그 피해도 더욱 크다. 이러한 웜홀 공격에 대응하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 네트워크에 참여한 노드들의 위치정보를 이용한 CA(central authority)에서의 경로 분석을 통해 웜홀을 탐지하는 기법을 제안하였다.

  • A Vehicular Ad-Hoc Network (VANET) is a form of Mobile ad-hoc network, to provide temporary communications among nearby vehicles. Mobile node of VANET consumes energy and resource with participating in the member of network. Some node tends to have a selfishness to place one's own profits above cooperation with others. As result of selfish node, it reduces data accessibility and the efficiency of networks. In this paper, we propose noble method, Friendship-VaR that excludes selfish nodes from a group of VANET. Friendship-VaR enables to improve data accessibility by eliminating selfish nodes and sharing data among reliable nodes. Friendship-VaR determines selfishness of nodes by simple data exchange. The experiments shows proposed method outperform existing method in terms of data accessibility.

  • Mobile nodes in ad-hoc wireless networks play roles of router as well as host. Movement of nodes causes network topology changes, which make existing routing information be modified. Therefore many routing protocols for ad-hoc networks were suggested in the literature. In this paper, we suggest an enhanced automatic route shortening method for dynamic source routing(DSR) protocol. DSR is a request/response based protocol which has low routing overhead owing to node movement. The current automatic route shortening is performed on the only nodes which belong to the source route of packets. On the contrary, our suggested method allows all neighbor nodes hearing the packet to participate in automatic route shortening. It makes all possible route shortenings be performed. So we maintain maximal shortened routes of ongoing data connections. Simulation results with ns2 show that our method pays small extra protocol overhead for ARS, but increases the ratio of successful packet transmissions and the number of ARSs performed in our mechanism is from 2 to 5 times higher than in original ARS mechanism and therefore it will improve the network-wide energy consumption in wireless ad-hoc networks.

  • 위치정보는 사용자에게 유용한 서비스를 제공하는데 필요한 주요 컨텍스트 중의 하나로, 이를 얻기 위해 GPS(Global Positioning System)가 널리 사용되고 있다. GPS는 위성신호를 이용하기 때문에 별도의 기지국이 필요 없고 전 세계를 포함하는 넓은 가용범위를 갖지만, 도심과 같이 높은 건물이 많은 지역에서는 수신이 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문은 주변기기들의 위치정보를 공유 받아 모바일 기기의 GPS 정보손실을 복구하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 먼저 주변의 모바일 기기나 기지국의 유효한 위치정보를 근거리 통신의 애드혹 네트워크인 스캐터넷을 통해 공유받는다. 그 후, 근거리 통신의 가용범위와 지도상의 지형정보를 함께 고려하여 복구 알고리즘을 통해 자신의 위치를 추측한다. 본 논문에서는 최근 모바일 기기에 기본으로 장착되는 근거리 통신기술인 블루투스(Bluetooth)를 가정하여 시뮬레이션 환경을 모델링 하였으며, 실험결과 제안하는 방법을 통해 손실된 GPS 정보의 상당부분이 복구되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 과거 네트워크는 물리적 회선을 이용한 유선 네트워크 기반의 연구를 통하여 각 노드간의 통신을 수행하였다. 하지만 시대가 흐름에 따라 통신환경이 유선 네트워크에서 무선 네트워크 기반의 통신으로 이동하였으며 그에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히 clustering routing 기법은 무선 네트워크 환경에서의 한계였던 에너지 소모 문제를 보완하는 기법으로서 각광받고 있다. LS2RP는 이동성이 심한 Ad Hoc 네트워크 환경에서 CH가 backup을 통해 해당 cluster를 벗어날 경우를 대비한다. 하지만 CH가 cluster를 벗어난 이후 data chunk 결합을 통한 ID database 복구와 CH 재선정을 수행하기 때문에 그동안 network의 사용이 불가능해진다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CH의 이동을 예측하여 미리 sub CH를 선정하여 네트워크의 안정성을 강화하는 기법을 제시한다. 시뮬레이션 수행 결과 이동성에 따른 control traffic 측면에서 기존의 LS2RP에 비해 12% 더 높은 performance를 보이고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Design of Modified CGA for Address Autoconfiguration and Digital Signature in Hierarchical Ad Hoc Network (개선된 CGA(Modified CGA)를 이용한 계층적 애드 혹 네트워크에서의 주소 자동 설정 및 전자 서명 제공 방안)

  • The CGA proposed by IETF working group prevents address spoofing and stealing and provides digital signature to users, but key collision problem arises. To solve this critical problem, the CGA defines the SEC field within address format, which is set to high value when high security is required and vice versa, but the CGA faces a dilemma between security and the processing time. As SEC value increases, the processing time to generate the CGA grows dramatically while key collision ratio increases if low SEC value is applied to the CGA. We propose modified CGA (MCGA) that has shorter processing time than the CGA and offers digital signature with small overheads. To solve key collision problem, we employ hierarchical ad hoc network. The MCGA is applicable to IPv6 networks as well public networks. In this paper, we design a mathematical model to analyze the processing time for MCGA and CGA first and evaluate the processing time via simulations, where the processing time for MCGA is reduced down 3.3 times when SEC value is set to 0 and 68,000 times when SEC value is set to 1. Further, we have proved that the CGA is inappropriate for both ad hoc networks and IPv6 networks when the SEC field is set to more than 3.

UAV based Wireless Ad hoc Network Performance Analysis (공중무인기 기반의 무선애드혹 네트워크 성능 분석)

  • Wireless ad hoc network which is comprised of wireless nodes that have the limited communication range is utilized to monitoring disaster area, tracing object, and tactical system. But in the case of wireless node on the ground, a network performance decrease because wireless channel is affected from obstacle or the node deployment is restricted. In this paper, we consider wireless network based on UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) which has little spatial constraint and quickly deploy a position. We implement test-bed included ground nodes and UAV, and measure throughput and PDR(Packet Delivery Ratio) according to the usage of UAV. We show that network performance is improved by relaying data on UAV.

  • Recent wireless communication technologies are envisioned as an innovative alternative to solve transportation problems. On ad hoc networks, as a wireless communication technology, nodes can communicate data without any infrastructure. In particular, vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), a specific ad hoc network applied to vehicles, enable vehicles equipped with a communication device to form decentralized traffic information systems in which vehicles share traffic information they experienced. This study investigated traffic information dissemination in a VANET-based traffic information system. For this study, an integrated transportation and communications simulation framework was developed, and experiments were conducted with real highway networks and traffic demands. The results showed that it took 3 minutes in the low traffic density situations (10 vehicle/lane.km) and 43 seconds in the high traffic density condition (40 vehicle/lane.km) to deliver traffic information of 5km away with 10% market penetration rate. In uncongested traffic conditions, information seems to be disseminated via equipped vehicles in the opposite direction. In congested traffic conditions, the sufficient availability of equipped vehicles traveling in the same direction reduces the chance to use vehicles in the opposing direction even though it is still possible.
