Stride Length Estimation Using LSTM-Attention (LSTM-Attention을 이용한 보폭 추정)

  • 본 논문에서는 3축 가속도와 3축 각속도 센서로 구성된 관성 측정 장치(IMU)와 압력센서가 내장되어있는 스마트 인솔을 착용하여 얻어진 보행 데이터를 통해 보폭을 추정하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 압력센서를 활용하여 한 걸음 주기로 나눈 뒤 나누어진 가속도와 각속도 센서 데이터를 LSTM과 Attention 계층을 결합한 딥러닝 모델에 학습하여 보폭 추정을 시행하였다. LSTM-Attention 모델은 기존 LSTM 모델보다 약 1.14%의 성능 향상을 보였다.

Accuracy Analysis of Pulse Wave Sensor Data of Ear Label of Husbandry Livestock (축산 가축 이표용 맥파 센서의 데이터 정확도 분석)

  • In this research, we aimed to investigate the most optimum pulse wave sensor to ear label of live stocks among pulse wave piezo film sensor, conductive textile sensor, photo sensor. As a result of this research with application to 10 cattle, 10 pigs objects with pulse wave piezo film sensor, conductive textile sensor, photo sensor, photo sensor shows less standard deviation to average value than piezo film sensor or conductive textile sensor which means it is the most stable for the cattle. With pigs, piezo film sensor, conductive textile sensor and photo sensor all show stable pulse rate. Thus, to take pulse rate of livestock with curved body and long and dense coat such as cow, photo sensor will be considered as the most efficient mean.

  • Optical fiber has many advantages, such as high reliability, long lifetime, immunity to the electromagnetic interference, high speed response and low cost. In this study, we proposed and developed an optical fiber impact and pressure sensor for prevention of accident which occurs in the automatic system or auto door. The principle of the sensor is to detect different optical intensity caused by variation of a speckle pattern due to the external perturbation. Speckle pattern appears at the end of a multimode fiber in which coherent beam propagates. The fabricated sensor in this study was tested. As a result of experiments, amplitude of the output signal isn't linear, but it has sufficient sensitivity for a sensor. Moreover, we can control sensitivity of the sensor by an amplifier at receiver. It has several advantages which are ability of detection at all point on the multimode fiber, large sensitive area, and many application areas for a sensing impact and pressure.

  • 본 논문에서는 다이어프램을 세라믹을 사용하여 2차 변환 소자로 금속 스트레인 게이지 대신에 thick film piezoresistor를 이용한 후막 압력센서에 관한 연구이다. 다이어프램의 미소 변형을 후막의 비저항 변화로 검출하는 압저항 효과를 이용하는 방식이다. 종래의 압력센서와 비교하여 크리프 현상이 적고, 안정성이 우수한 특징을 갖고 있다. 또한 저항선이나 박 게이지의 게이지율이 3$\sim$5 인 것이 비하면 후막저항을 사용한 경우, 약 15$\sim$20정도의 높은 게이지율을 얻을 수 있어서 측정범위를 넓게 할 수 있으며, 후막공정의 스크린 프린팅을 통한 자동화는 수율의 향상과 저 가격화를 실현할 수 있다. 또, 후막 저항형 압력센서는 두 개의 저항이 다이어프램의 중앙 부근에 위치하며, 나머지 두 개의 저항은 가장자리에 위치시킴으로써 미소 변형에서도 저항값의 변화를 읽을 수 있도록 하였고, 휘스톤 브리지의 연결 도체부는 Pt를 주성분으로 하는 conductive paste(DHC7085)를 사용하였다. 이렇게 설계.제작된 압력 센서를 지지대에 고정시킨 후 캡슐에 넣고 감도, 선형성, 히스테리시스 그리고 온도특성 등을 고찰하였다.

  • In this paper, a driver's drowsy detection sensor system based on the respiration is investigated. The sensor system consists of a piezoelectric pressure sensor attached at the abdominal region of the seat belt and a personal computer. The piezoelectric pressure sensor was utilized for the measurement of pressure variations induced by the movement of the driver abdomen during breathing. The signal processing software for detecting driver's drowsiness was produced using the Labview. The experiments were performed with 30 years male driver. The amplitude of the respiration at awake state was larger than one at the drowsy state. On the contrary, the respiration rate at awake state was lower than one at the drowsy state. The drowsy detection sensor system developed based on the experimental could successfully detect the driver's drowsy on real-time.

Step Counts and Posture Monitoring System using Insole Type Textile Capacitive Pressure Sensor for Smart Gait Analysis (깔창 형태의 전기용량성 섬유압력센서를 이용한 보행 횟수 검출 및 자세 모니터링 시스템)

  • We have developed a textile capacitive pressure sensor for smart gait analysis. The proposed system can convert sensor signal into step counts and pressure levels by different posture. To evaluate the performance of insole type textile capacitive sensor, we measured capacitance change by increment of weights from 10 kg to 100 kg with 10 kg increment using M1 class rectangular weights (four 20 kg weights and two 10 kg weights) which have ${\pm}10%$ tolerance. The result showed non-linearity characteristic of a general capacitive pressure sensor. The test was performed according to a test protocol for four different postures (sitting, standing, standing on a left leg and standing on a right leg) and different walking speeds (1 km/h and 4 km/h). Five healthy male subjects were participated in each test. As we expected, the pressure level was changed by pressure distribution according to posture. Also, developed textile pressure sensor showed higher recognition rate (average 98.06 %) than commercial pedometer at all walking speed. Therefore, the proposed step counts and posture monitoring system using conductive textile capacitive pressure sensor proved to be a reliable and useful tool for monitoring gait parameters.

  • Dynamic pressure transducer needs to be flush-mounted on hardware due to frequency response characteristics of pressure transmission system. However, it is sometimes necessary to be mounted in recessed configuration due to insufficient space for sensor installation and for protection of sensor from thermal damage. Dynamic response characteristics should be considered due to distortion of original dynamic pressure signal in the pressure transmission system. In this study, small perturbation model and 2nd order reduced model were compared with experiments and a guideline for selecting a frequency response model was suggested.

  • The sizes of cryogenic vessels and storage tanks are becoming bigger due to strong demands from semiconductor and LCD industry as well as high-tech electronic industry. Conventional level and pressure gauges used for cryogenic vessels were analog types which made exact measurement difficult for the remained quantity at lower levels due to their poor accuracy. In this study, a design for a digital type gas level gauge which can measure the pressure and level inside of the cryogenic liquefied gas storage tanks has been proposed by using a differential pressure sensor, in which the measured data are monitored by a host PC and are transferred to a mobile printer for data confirmation at local station.

Development of Servo Type Angle-of-Attack Sensor for UAV (무인항공기용 서보형 받음각센서 개발)

  • A servo type angle of attack sensor using the null-seeking method is designed and its characteristics are analyzed in this study. Angle-of-attack in the null-seeking method is given by the probe rotation angle with respect to the body reference line when pressure difference measured in two holes on the probe becomes zero. This method provides highly accurate and uniform angle-of-attack measurements over all range. Hence, this kind of angle-of-attack sensor is adequate for unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs). In this paper, we first analyze the requirements for developing angle-of-attack sensors. And the servo type angle-of-attack sensor is then designed and fabricated. The on-board angle-of-attack calculation algorithm is also developed. Finally, the characteristics of the developed angle-of-attack sensor are identified through MATLAB Simulink and wind tunnel tests.
