  • It is true that Blockchain has been known as a core technology for cryptocurrency like bitcoin (BTC). It is caused by its rapid value rises. Now, one BTC is trading around 10,000 US dollars while it bought just less than one dollar at its first trading in May, 2010. Blockchain makes on-line transactions possible by the safe cryptocurrency swiftly based on P2P network and distributed public ledger while its on-line traffic is rapidly increasing. However, this technology has bigger potential in the fourth industrial revolution era and its application areas will be varied. The evolving intelligent information society needs to make new added value through utilizing, sharing and processing of useful digital information. Obstacles such as hacking and fraud often exist when transactions of digital properties, right transfers, etc. are done through digital network specialized with anonymity. It is expected that blockchain will be a definite solution in this regard. This paper addresses useful development directions and countermeasures for blokchain in the digital economy by analysis of its current status and issues.

  • The restricted network or the unbalanced distribution of spectrum is causing the problems of lack of spectrum resources and deterioration of the service quality. In addition, the existing centralized radio sharing method has not been a fundamental solution for radio sharing and is inefficient in terms of cost, convenience, and security. In this paper, we propose a blockchain-based spectrum sharing as a low-cost, trustworthy, high-efficiency platform that can distribute and share spectrum resources, and propose policies to realize this. In the spectrum sharing platform, spectrum information about Wi-Fi AP and LTE mobile hotspot is registered in the blockchain, and spectrum sharers and users can conclude peer-to-peer spectrum sharing contract quickly and efficiently through smart contract. The pay for the shared spectrum resources and reward for spectrum quality management open platform ecosystem to activate the circulation-sharing and it can provide a convenient and efficient public wireless infrastructure.

  • Exponentiation is widely used in practical applications related with cryptography, and as the discrete log is easily solved in case of a low exponent n, a large exponent n is needed for a more secure system. However. since the time complexity for exponentiation algorithm increases in proportion to the n figure, the development of an exponentiation algorithm that can quickly process the results is becoming a crucial problem. In this paper, we propose a parallel exponentiation algorithm which can reduce the number of rounds with a fixed number of processors, where the field elements are in GF($2^m$), and also analyzed the round bound of the proposed algorithm. The proposed method uses window method which divides the exponent in a particular bit length and make idle processors in window value computation phase to multiply some terms of windows where the values are already computed. By this way. the proposed method has improved round bound.

  • In [15,16], Okeya and Sakurai showed that the randomized addition-subtraction chains countermeasures [18] are vulnerable to SPA attack. In this paper, we show that Okeya and Sakurai's attack algorithm [15,16] has two latent problems which need to be considered. We further propose new powerful concrete attack algorithms which are different from [15,16,19]. From our implementation results for standard 163-bit keys, the success probability for the simple version with 20 AD sequences is about 94% and with 30 AD sequences is about 99%. Also, the success probability for the complex version with 40 AD sequences is about 94% and with 70 AD sequences is about 99%.

  • As the ID-based public key cryptosystems become a very active research area, a number of ID-based key agreement protocols have been proposed, but unfortunately many of them were analyzed that there were some security flaws in the protocols. In addition to key agreement protocols, in recent, Liu et al. and Kim et al. proposed the key agreement protocols that multiple session keys are established at once among participated entities. In this paper, we propose an ID-based tripartite key agreement protocol that establishes 8 keys by improving the efficiency of the Liu et al's. Moreover, the proposed protocol can be used in the situation where multiple different private key generators(PKG) are involved. Therefore, because the private key issued by different PKGs belonging to each entity's domain can be used, our proposed scheme is more efficiently applicable to the practical applications.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) system is an automated identification system that consists of tags and readers. They communicate with each other by RF signal. As a reader can identify many tags in contactless manner using RF signal, RFID system is expected to do a new technology to substitute a bar-code system. But RFID system creates new threats to the security and privacy of individuals, Because tags and readers communicate with each other in insecure channel using RF signal. So many people are trying to study various manners to solve privacy problems against attacks, but it is difficult to apply to RFID system based on low-cost Gen2. Therefore, We will propose a new encryption scheme using matrix based on Gen2 in RFID system in paper, and We will analyze our encryption scheme in view of the security and efficiency through a simulation and investigate application environments to use our encryption scheme.

  • The smart card with the cryptography and VLSI technologies makes it possible to implement the electronic cash easily. A number of electronic each schemes have been proposed by many cryptographic researchers. In this paper, we propose a practical electronic cash system, using blind digital signature scheme. Schnorr's authentication scheme based on the discrete logarithm problem, and the hierarchical cash tree based on two one-way hash functions for dividable payment. Thisf electronic cash scheme has such properties as privacy of the payment, off-line payment, non-reuseability of cash, transferability of cash to another customer, and dividable payment of cash. This electronic cash protocol is well suited for implementing in smart card.

  • It is known to be hard to apply cryptographic one-way functions to the recognition system using bio-information directly. As one of the solutions about that problem there is a permutation transformation scheme. However, they did not show my algorithmic behavior or any performance analysis of the transformation by experiment. In this paper, by showing the recognition ratio of the transformed scheme by experiment, we prove that that scheme is sound. Also, we adopt their transformation to LDA(Linear Discriminant Analysis) to show the experimental results. In the negative side, we introduce a new type of attack against the permutation transformation schemes. finally, we briefly mention a generalization of the permutation transformation for countermeasure of the attack at the end of this paper.

  • OMA(Open Mobile Alliance) is one of the most active group about DRM technology in mobile device field. OMA announced an OMA-DRM v 2.1 standardization in 2007. After then OMA announced OMA-SRM(Secure Removable Media) and SCE(Secure Contents Exchanges) that are the extension of OMA-DRM v2.1. In SCE, a user can form user domain to share contents and rights. So the user can share contents and rights with not only the the OMA-DRM v2.1 but also home devices like mobile phones, personal computers and audios. In this paper, we analyze a sharing technology of OMA-DRM and SCE, and then propose key distribution method using proxy re-encryption and smart card to use shared contents and rights.

  • A passive RFID tag which received attention as a future technology for automatic and quick identification faces some difficulties about security problems such as tag authentication, reader authentication, data protection, and untraceability in addition to cost and reliable identification. A representative passive RFID technology is the ISO/IEC 18000-6 Type C which is an international standard for 900 MHz UHF-band. This standard has some difficulties in applying to the security services such as originality verification, tag's internal information protection, and untraceability, because it does not provide high-level security solution. In this paper, we summarize security requirements of ISO/IEC ITC 1/SC 31 international standardization group, propose security protocols suitable for the UHF-band passive RFID system using a crypto engine, and analyze its security strength. In addition, we verify that it is possible to implement a tag conforming with the proposed security protocols by presenting concrete command/response pairs and cryptographic method.
