The Effect of Circle Contact Lens on the Stability of Tear Film (써클콘택트렌즈가 눈물막 안정성에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The effect of pigmentation in circle contact lens on lens wearers' tear film stability was investigated in this study. Methods: Non-invasive tear film break-up times of 54 normal eyes before and after lens wearing in twenties and the portion of first tear breakup were measured. The frontal and back surface roughness of circle contact lens was further observed with a scanning electron microscope. The clear lens which was made of hilafilcon B and circle contact lenses which were made of hilafilcon B, polymacon and copolymer of HEMA NVP were tested. Results: Non-invasive tear film breakup time was significantly reduced compared with it before lens wearing. In some case, statistically significant difference in tear film breakup time was also observed between circle contact lenses. The tear file break-up was usually early started in lower than upper portion, and in temporal than nasal portion although there was variation in the lens material. The tear film break-up of circle contact lenses made of hilafilcon B was more commonly observed in peripheral portion(pigmented area) compared with clear contact lens made of same material. Conclusions: The present study revealed that the stability of tear film was affected by wearing circle contact lens and the result seems to be used as the basis for the problem solving that can occur due to the pigmentation when wearing circle contact lens.

Stability Analysis of a Stereo-Camera for Close-range Photogrammetry (근거리 사진측량을 위한 스테레오 카메라의 안정성 분석)

  • To determine 3D(three-dimensional) positions using a stereo-camera in close-range photogrammetry, camera calibration to determine not only the interior orientation parameters of each camera but also the relative orientation parameters between the cameras must be preceded. As time passes after performing camera calibration, in the case of non-metric cameras, the interior and relative orientation parameters may change due to internal instability or external factors. In this study, to evaluate the stability of the stereo-camera, not only the stability of two single cameras and a stereo-camera were analyzed, but also the three-dimensional position accuracy was evaluated using checkpoints. As a result of evaluating the stability of two single cameras through three camera calibration experiments over four months, the root mean square error was ±0.001mm, and the root mean square error of the stereo-camera was ±0.012mm ~ ±0.025mm, respectively. In addition, as the results of distance accuracy using the checkpoint were ±1mm, the interior and relative orientation parameters of the stereo-camera were considered stable over that period.

  • 실시간 제어시스템은 데드라인(deadline)이라는 시간 제약성을 가지며. 데드라인 이내의 작업수행 여부에 따라서 시스템의 안정성 및 신뢰성 보장을 평가할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실시간 시스템 제어기의 시간 지연에 의한 시스템의 영향과 이에 따른 시간 제약성에 대한 연구가 수행된다. 정상상태의 제어기의 시간 지연은 그 효과가 미약하여 일반적으로 고려하지 않는다. 그러나, 시스템의 고장상태 즉, 비정상적인 상태의 시간지연은 비록 랜덤하게 발생되나 발생시에는 전체시스템에 미치는 영향이 매우 크므로 이를 반드시 고려하고, 이에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 먼저, 단일작업을 수행하는 선형시불변 및 비선형시스템에 대한 데드라인 유도하고, Path-space approach 기법에 의해 신뢰도 상위 및 하위 경계값을 유도한다.

  • This study was peformed to improve extraction of insoluble proteins and to evaluate funtional properties of abolished proteins by the phytase produced by Asporgillus sp. The optimum pH, temperature, treatment time and unit of the enzyme for extraction of protein were pH 4.0~5.0, $50^{\circ}C$, 8~10 hrs and 120 units. The foaming capacity and foaming stability of sesame meal protein after enzyme treatment were virtually unchanged as compared to control. The emulsion capacity and emulsion stability of sesame meal protein was higher than control. Oil absorption as well as water absorption capacities of sesame meal protein were higher than control.

  • In this paper, we present the robust fuzzy algorithm for variable speed control of wind turbines. Generally, the plants of wind turbines are consisted of complex nonlinearities, and the parameters of variable speed of wind turbines are represented as uncertain terms. For solving these complexity, we propose the robust fuzzy algorithm. At first, the exact fuzzy modeling are performed for variable speed of wind turbines. Next, we design the fuzzy controller for reanalyzed T-S fuzzy model of the wind turbines, then, we prove the stability of the plant through the Lyapunov stability theorem. At last, an example is included for visualizing the efficiency of the proposed technique.

  • 태풍과 집중호우와 같은 극치사상은 치수적인 측면 뿐 아니라 안정적인 용수공급과 수자원의 확보, 수질 및 생물다양성 확보, 생태계의 안정성 및 복원력 향상 등에 매우 중요하나, 국외에 비해 국내연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 또한, 장기간의 수문 및 기상자료의 변동 및 경향, 예측 등의 많은 연구들로 인해 사실상 현실화가 된 기후변화 등의 이유로 극한 호우사상이 해를 거듭할수록 증가할 것으로 전망되고 있어 이에 대한 위험성이 대두되고 있는 실정이다. 한반도의 극치호우사상의 변화 및 양상을 보다 심도있게 평가하기 위해 한반도에 영향을 미치는 태풍 및 집중호 우을 분리하는 기법을 개발 및 적용하여 각 호우원인별 특성 변화 및 경향 분석을 수행하였으며, 한반도의 호우원인별 극치 호우사상에 영향을 미치는 해수면온도와 관련된 El Nino 패턴과 수문기상인자 등과의 상관성 분석을 수행하였다. 마지막으로 기후변화가 한반도 극치호우사상에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 평가하고 비정상성빈도해석을 통해 미래확률강우량을 산정하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과는 향후, 미래 한반도 영향 태풍 및 집중호우의 강도 및 규모를 고려한 지역 맞춤형 치수정책 및 방재대책 수립에 대한 기초자료로 활용가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Uncertainty Sequence Modeling Approach for Safe and Effective Autonomous Driving (안전하고 효과적인 자율주행을 위한 불확실성 순차 모델링)

  • Deep reinforcement learning(RL) is an end-to-end data-driven control method that is widely used in the autonomous driving domain. However, conventional RL approaches have difficulties in applying it to autonomous driving tasks due to problems such as inefficiency, instability, and uncertainty. These issues play an important role in the autonomous driving domain. Although recent studies have attempted to solve these problems, they are computationally expensive and rely on special assumptions. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm MCDT that considers inefficiency, instability, and uncertainty by introducing a method called uncertainty sequence modeling to autonomous driving domain. The sequence modeling method, which views reinforcement learning as a decision making generation problem to obtain high rewards, avoids the disadvantages of exiting studies and guarantees efficiency, stability and also considers safety by integrating uncertainty estimation techniques. The proposed method was tested in the OpenAI Gym CarRacing environment, and the experimental results show that the MCDT algorithm provides efficient, stable and safe performance compared to the existing reinforcement learning method.

원전고화폐기물 특성시험을 위한 시험법 선정방법

  • 국가의 규제기관과 처분장에서는 방사성 폐기물의 안전한 영구처분을 위하여 폐기물 수용(인수)기준을 폐기물 발생자에게 준수토록 요구하게 되는데 이러한 폐기물 수용(인수)기준은 처분시설의 가동동안 인간과 환경 보호 그리고 최대 300년간의 제도적 통제기간을 고려하여 처분장의 안전성 확보를 위하여 설정되어진다. 폐기물 수용(인수)기준중 고화체의 안정성 평가와 관련하여 미국(NRC/BTP)은 폐기물의 종류와 고화매질에 따라 유리수, 압축강도, 방사성 조사특성, 미생물 영향 특성, 침수 및 침출 특성, 열순환 특성 등에 대하여 표준시험법을 제시하였으며, 또한 그의 기술기준치도 제시하고 있다. 그리고 프랑스(DRDD/ BECC)에서는 미국보다 매우 세밀하게 평가항목들을 분류하는 등의 처분장 운영국가에서는 고화체의 안정성관련 평가시험들을 처분 환경과 처분방식에 맞게 표준화하고 있다. 한편 국내에서는 과기부 고시 제2001-32호 "중.저준위 방사성폐기물 인도규정"이 있으나 이에는 고화체 관련하여 정성적인 안정성에 대하여서만 기술되어 있다. 이에 따라 원전폐기물 고화체에 대한 안정성 평가를 위한 시험법을 선정하기 위하여 아래 그림과 같은 절차에 따라 수행토록 하였다. 우선 대표적인 천층처분 운영국가인 미국과 프랑스의 시험법 그리고 IAEA 권고 시험법과 유사관련 한국 산업표준법들을 조사하고, 이들 시험법들의 주요 차이점을 기술적 관점에서 비교평가하고, 이어서 모의 방사성 및 비방사성 고화체를 이용하여 상기 시험법들을 각각 적용하고 또한 이들 시험법들간의 차이(시험 조건, 시편의 크기 등)에 기인한 상호 비교시험을 통하여 얻어진 시험결과들을 종합적으로 비교 검토하여 보수적 관점에서 시험법을 선정하는 것으로 방향을 잡았다. 이때 시험결과를 얻기 위한 모든 과정에 품질보증 활동을 적용키로 하였으며, 시험결과 분석/평가 과정과 시험법 선정에 각계(규제기관, 학계, 발전소 현장 및 산업계 등) 전문가로부터 기술자문회의를 통하여 자문 의견을 받기로 하였다. 특히 현재 폐기물 인수 기술기준치가 설정된 국가의 시험법을 심층 있게 검토하기로 하였다.검토하기로 하였다.

Surface Modification of Liposomes Using Comblike Copolymer for Enhancing Stability in Blood Circulation (혈류 내 안정성 향상을 위한 빗 모양 고분자로 개질된 리포솜)

  • To increase the stability of liposomes in blood circulation, surface modification of liposomes by incorporating a lipid-polymer derivative in the lipid bilayer or conjugating a hydrophilic polymer to the liposomal surface has been developed. In this study, the comblike copolymer, poly(HEMA-co-HPOEM), having multiple polyethyleneoxide side chains was prepared by free radical polymerization of hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) and hydroxypolyoxyethylenemethacrylate (HPOEM) as vinyl monomers. Poly(HEMA-co-HPOEM) was conjugated to the liposomal surface and the characteristics of the modified liposomes in serum were investigated. Conjugation of poly(HEMA-co-HPOEM) to liposomes increased the particle size of the liposomes by 30 nm and decreased the absolute value of zeta potential of the liposomes by shielding the negative charge of liposomal surface. Loading efficiency of model drug, doxorubicin, in liposomes was about 90% and the efficiency was not affected by conjugation of poly(HEMA-co-HPOEM) to liposomes. The particle size of poly(HEMA-co-HPOEM)-conjugated liposomes in serum did not changed and the protein adsorption was lower than that of control liposomes or liposomes containing polyethyleneoxide-lipid derivative (PEG-liposomes). These results suggest that poly(HEMA-co-HPOEM) is efficient for the stabilization of liposomes in blood circulation.

Dynamic Response Analysis of Nonlinear Sloshing in Two Dimensional Rectangular Tank using Finite Element Method (유한요소법을 이용한 2차원 사각탱크내 비선형 슬로싱 동응답 해석)

  • This paper deals with the FEM analysis of nonlinear sloshing of incompressible, invicid and irrotational flow in two dimensional rectangular tank. We use laplace equation based on potential theory as governing equation. For large amplitude sloshing motion, kinematic and dynamic free surface conditions derived from Bernoulli equation are applied. This problem is solved by FEM using 9-node elements. For the time integration and accurate velocity calculation, we introduce predictor-corrector time marching scheme and least square method. Also, numerical stability in tracking of free surface is obtained by direct calculation of free surface location to time variation. Numerical results of sloshing induced by harmonic excitations, while comparing with those of linear theory and references, prove the accuracy and stability. After verification of our program, we analyze sloshing response characteristics to the fluid height and the excitation amplitude.
