Vehicle Emergency Lamp Fuzzy Control Systems Using The GPS (GPS를 이용한 자동차 비상등 작동 장치)

  • Necessities of a traffic means work a car in the modern society human to an usability of a life is enjoying. On the other hand, the damage by traffic accident increment the human quotient worked as we were in proportion to the vehicle which increased. Passing an examination moves necessarily on an obstacle to suddenly appear at the fronts if a car travels and the vehicles which stopped suddenly. Dynamic passing an examination about an obstacle turn on Vehicle Emergency Lamp to by hand when is unhurried, and can turn off, but to appear urgently dynamic passing an examination in time human is instinctive, but cannot inform an emergency to a back vehicle, and a rear-end collision occurs. A car we synthesize a speed of a vehicle, and this unit analyzes as we use GPS, and to drive runs Vehicle Emergency Lamp to automatic in the situations that shall turn on emergencies etc. If a speed of a vehicle continuously slows down in too high-speed driving or low-speed driving, or we are stopped, Vehicle Emergency Lamp is always turned on. It was built if we rise again as clearing itself from risk, and a speed of a vehicle judges, and we turn off Vehicle Emergency Lamp to automatic. It runs till rear-end collision sensor operates, and by hand reset does Vehicle Emergency Lamp a driving vehicle collides from behind to a back vehicle or when a driving vehicle was overthrown. It is shortened very much to the chain rear-end collision traffic accident that is a traffic accident of large size if we use this unit. And we did authentication through the experiment which a driver was helpful to unnecessary operation and a relaxed safe driving during drivings.

  • The final goal of our research is developing not a simple collision a1ann equipment for the blinded walkers, but the apparatus (Audio- Vision System) which can simulate vision based on auditory information so that the blinds can figure the three dimensional space in front of them. On the way to the final goal, in this study, simulation software was developed and verified. Thirty normal volunteers were included in the subject group and the average age Was 25.8 years old. After being accustomed to the system by evaluating 10 blinded virtual spaces, the volunteers performed test using another set of 10 blinded virtual spaces. The results of test were scored by shape, center, margin, and gradient surface of objects in virtual space. The score of each checking point ranged from 1 to 5, and the full score was converted to 100. As results of this study, the total score ranged from 77 to 97 with the average of 88.7. In this study, a simulation software was developed and verified to have acceptable success rale. By combining to visual sensors, the vision-reconstruction system based on auditory signal (Audio-vision System) may be developed.

Cause and Countermeasure of Inundation Damage in Underground Space (우리나라 지하공간 내수침수피해 원인 및 대책)

  • 도시지역의 내수침수피해는 거의 매년 발생하고 있으며, 반지하와 같은 거주공간이 매우 취약한 상태이다. 특히 최근에는 지하철, 지하상가 등이 대규모 개발되고 복합네트워크화 되어 지하공간의 침수대책과 대피방안 마련이 시급한 상황이다. 일본의 경우 2000년 토카이 호우피해 후 통합유출해석 모형을 개발하였으며, 1999년 및 2003년 후쿠오카 침수피해 발생 후 특정도시하천침수피해대책법을 제정, 1999 후쿠오카, 2004년 하마마츠, 2008년 카누마 피해 후 일본 방재연구소에서는 실시간 1차원 지표범람모형과 모니터링을 통한 실시간 내수침수지도를 개발하였다. 특히 지하공간에 대해서는 "지하공간에 유입하는 범람수가 계단상 보행자게에 주는 위험성에 관한 연구" 등 실험을 바탕으로 각종 지하공간 침수대책 매뉴얼 및 지하시설의 침수시 피난확보계획 지침, 지하공간 침수대책 가이드라인 등 인명피해를 줄이고자하는 노력이 계속되어 오고 있다. 우리나라는 2006년 경기도 고양시 3호선 정발산역이 침수되었으며, 2010년 서울시 지하철 2호선 사당역 및 4호선이 침수되는 등의 지하철 침수피해와 2010년 서울시 광화문 지하상가, 인천시 부평구 우림라이온스 벨리, 우남플라자, 계양구 농협하나로마트, 서원아파트 등의 지하상가와 지하다층의 침수피해가 발생하였다. 특히 2006년 3호선 정발산역 침수는 17시간이나 지하철이 불통되었고 이로 인하여 심각한 교통 체증이 유발 되었다. 본 연구에서는 2010년 집중호우로 인한 서울, 인천지역의 지하공간 침수피해를 중심으로 최근 10년간 지하공간 침수피해사례로부터 대표적인 침수피해 원인 및 특성을 정리하였으며, 그 결과 지하공간 침수의 주요원인은 지상공간의 침수류가 지하공간으로 유입하고, 지하공간의 배수설비 용량부족, 지하공간으로의 유입을 방지하기위한 방지턱, 차수판, 침수시 비상전원 공급, 침수시 지하공간 대피 매뉴얼의 부재 등 다양한 원인이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 소방방재청에서 고시한 '지하공간 침수방지를 위한 수방기준'에 지하공간 침수 방지를 위한 각종 시설의 설치 및 대피 경로지정 등에 대한 기준이 마련되어 있으나, 지하공간 중 유동인구가 가장 많은 지하철역에서 조차 침수에 대한 행동매뉴얼이나 대피에 대한 가이드라인이 마련되지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 지하공간 침수를 방지하기 위하여 센서를 이용한 자동 차수판과 경보기 설치, 지하공간의 사람들이 안전한 대피로를 찾을 수 있도록 지상공간 및 지하공간 출입구를 모니터링 할 수 있는 CCTV의 설치, Dry Area를 두어 비상대피 할 수 있는 공간의 마련 등 시설적인 부분에 대하여 '지하공간 침수방지를 위한 수방기준'을 더욱 강화할 필요가 있으며, 지상공간의 침수 상황을 고려한 지하공간의 대피매뉴얼 또는 가이드라인 등의 수립이 필요하다. 또한 이와 더불어 재산 및 인명피해를 더욱 효율적으로 줄일 수 있도록 실시간 예 경보를 위한 침수해석 모형의 개발이 시급하다.

  • Currently, the height of ships that can pass under Busan Harbor Bridge is limited to 60m or shorter, so that large-sized ships of 60m or taller cannot use Busan Harbor international passenger terminal. Accordingly, this study has developed a service which measures continuously the change of bridge height by water level changes and provides such in real-time for safe bridge passage of large-sized ships of 60m or taller. The measurement system comprised of high-precision laser distance measurement device, GPS sensor, optical module, and damping structure is used to measure the bridge height change according to tide level changes, and the measured information is provided in real-time through cloud-based mobile app. Also, in order to secure objective bridge height data for changes to height limits and navigation supports, the observation data was analyzed and forecast model was drawn. As a result, it became an objective evidence to revise the passage height rules of the Busan Port Bridge from 60 meters to 63 meters.

Development of Simulation Method to Design Rover's Camera System for Extreme Region Exploration (극한지 탐사 로버의 카메라 시스템 설계를 위한 시뮬레이션 기법 개발)

  • In extreme environment regions, unmanned rovers equipped with various sensors and devices are being developed for long-term exploration on behalf of humans. On the other hand, due to the harsh weather conditions and rough terrain, the rover camera has limited visible distance and field of view. Therefore, the rover cameras should be located for safe navigation and efficient terrain mapping. In this regard, to minimize the cost and time to manufacture the camera system on a rover, the simulation method using the rover design is presented to optimize the camera locations on the rover efficiently. In the simulation, a simulated terrain was taken from cameras with different locations and angles. The visible distance and overlapped extent of camera images, and terrain data accuracy calculated from the simulation were compared to determine the optimal locations of the rover's cameras. The simulated results will be used to manufacture a rover and camera system. In addition, self and system calibrations will be conducted to calculate the accurate position of the camera system on the rover.

  • The leading technologies of the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist System) are ACC (Advanced Cruise Control), LKAS (Lane Keeping Assist System), and AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking). LKAS is a system that uses cameras and infrared sensors to control steering and return to its running lane in the event of unintentional deviations. The actual test is performed for a safety evaluation and verification of the system. On the other hand, research on the system evaluation method is insufficient when an additional steering angle is applied. In this study, a model using Prescan was developed and simulated for the scenarios proposed in the preceding study. Comparative analyses of the simulation and the actual test were performed. As a result, the modeling validity was verified. A difference between the front wheels and the lane occurred due to the return velocity. The results revealed a maximum error of 0.56 m. The error occurred because the lateral velocity of the car was relatively small. On the other hand, the distance from wheels to the lanes displayed a tendency of approximately 0.5 m. This can be verified reliably.

  • Automation of agricultural machinery is a high technology needed to increase work capacity and accuracy, to save agricultural resources and energy, to solve labor shortage, and to improve operator's comfort and safety. With the rapid development of electronic industry, automation of agricultural machinery will be progressed fast, and eventually will lead to no-operator machines or agricultural robots. Automation should be promoted step by step without increasing the cost of farming, excluding rural labor forces, decreasing labor volition, and losing human nature. In order to achieve rational automation of agricultural machinery, it is necessary to investigate the characteristics of soils and crops, to develop sensors, controllers and robots with artificial intelligence. It is recommended that the present trends to directly automatize the individual machinery be changed to the development of a harmonious automation system for overall farming.

  • The transportation network is a critical infrastructure in the event of natural and human caused disasters such as rainfall, snowfall, and terror and so on. Particularly, the transportation network in an urban area where a large number of population live is subject to be negatively affected from such events. Therefore, efficient traffic operation plans are required to assist rapid evacuation and effective detour of vehicles on the network as soon as possible. Recently, ubiquitous communication and sensor network technology is very useful to improve data collection and connection related emergency information. In this study, we develop a specific algorithm to provide evacuation route and detour information only for vehicles under emergency situations. Our algorithm is based on shortest path search technique and dynamic traffic assignment. We perform the case study to evaluate model performance applying hypothetical scenarios involved terror. Results show that the model successfully describe effective path for each vehicle under emergency situation.

  • There have been increased economic and societal demands to continuously monitor the integrity and long-term deterioration of civil infrastructures to ensure their safety and adequate performance throughout their life span. However, it is very difficult to continuously monitor the structural condition of the pipeline structures because those are placed underground and connected each other complexly, although pipeline structures are core underground infrastructures which transport primary sources. Moreover, damage can occur at several scales from micro-cracking to buckling or loose bolts in the pipeline structures. In this study, guided wave measurement can be achieved with a self-sensing circuit using a piezoelectric active sensor. In this self sensing system, a specific frequency-induced structural wavelet response is obtained from the self-sensed guided wave measurement. To classify the multiple types of structural damage, supervised learning-based statistical pattern recognition was implemented using the damage indices extracted from the guided wave features. Different types of structural damage artificially inflicted on a pipeline system were investigated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed SHM approach.

An Automatic Mover for a Double-parked Car (이중 주차된 차량용 자동 이동 장치)

  • In this paper, the problem of a double-parked car has been investigated and a method to solve it is studied. Double parking is very common in a public parking lot with insufficient parking space. If a double-parked car blocked the way, a person needs to push the double-parked car to move it. The problem is that moving a double-parked car with hands is very hard and dangerous, especially for the old and the weak. To solve the above mentioned problem, an automatic mover for a double-parked car is proposed and developed. The basic idea is that a double-parked car can be moved by rolling its one wheel. Two rollers are designed and manufactured, which are used to roll a wheel of a double-parked car. The developed automatic mover has two rollers, two driving wheels, and four castors. It also has several ultrasonic sensors so that it can detect obstacles in the way and prevent possible collision. It is verified through several experiments that the developed automatic mover can move a double-parked car safely and easily.
