Development and Validation of Situation Awareness Tests for Commercial Drivers (사업용 운전자를 위한 상황인식 검사의 개발과 타당화)

  • This research aimed to investigate whether commercial drivers' situation awareness ability is related to their frequency and magnitude of caused accidents and penalty points. For the purpose of measuring drivers' situation perception and interpretation capacities, two tests named 'situation awareness test' and 'hazard perception test' were developed. The tests were based on the data from 299 commercial drivers (test drivers) using a driving simulator. The outcome of drivers' performance on situation awareness and hazard perception tests was designed to be categorized into 5 grades, classifying the best as grade 1 and the worst as grade 5. As the result, low grades on situation awareness test had positive relationship with accumulated penalty points, frequency of accidents and safety index. Grades on hazard perception test were also positively correlated with accident frequency and safety indices. This suggests situation awareness ability of commercial drivers is significantly related to traffic violations and accident causing tendencies.

A Study on Evaluation of Safety on Two-Lane Rural Highways (지방부 2차로 안전성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Purpose of this paper is proposing technical evaluation method for safety on two-lane rural highways, this method can contribute to an establishment of the safety evaluation criteria and eventually contribute to the highway safety. In this study, accident data and field data(grade, radius, speed factor) are collected and are analyzed. And new technical evaluation method is proposed by problem in review of existent methods and analysis result. Property of new method is verified by comparing with existent one. Following are results of this study. 1) Proposed technical evaluation method is Proposed by using difference of speed variance and difference of acceleration. 2) In range of field survey, proposed method is more proper than existent one by comparing. 3) Headways under 6 second affect speed of next vehicle. 4) A point with the lowest speed in curve is placed about 35m from the beginning point. 5) Correlation of speed variance and severity of highway(EPDO) is statistically significant. For using proposed method, more tests are needed on other locations with various geometries. Moreover, advanced study is needed about classifying and giving the weight of each criterion.

  • 본 연구에서는 수리, 수문학적 안전성을 평가한 댐들에 대하여 설계보고서, 정밀안전진단 등 준공 후 현재까지 시행된 용역결과들을 토대로 PMF 및 확률홍수량의 변화양상을 대상유역의 지역적 특수성, 대상 수문자료, 해석기법에 내하여 차이점을 각기 분석하고 이에 따른 결과를 비교${\cdot}$분석하였다. 대상댐의 설계홍수량 및 PMF에 대한 포락곡선을 도시하여 분석한 결과 Francou-Rodier 상수 K값 6.4를 4개댐의 PMF에서 초과하는 것으로 나타났다. 개선된 PMF 산정절차 기준에 따라 홍수량을 재산정하여 본 연구에서 분석한 내용과 비교 분석할 예정이며, 이러한 결과는 우리나라 기존 댐에 대한 수문학적 안전등급 설정에 중요한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 현재 국내의 주요 샌드위치패널 화재안전성능 평가방법에는 Cone calorimeter (연소성능) 및 가스유해성 시험방법이 있지만 샌드위치패널의 경우 불연재질 속 심재의 연소특성을 측정하여 실제 화재에서의 연소거동을 예측하기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 스티로폼 패널의 화재 안전성 연구를 위해서 ISO 9705 시험(Room Corner Test)을 실시하였다. 실험결과 두 시편 모두 시험이 진행되고 약 12분 정도, 버너의 열량이 100 kW에서 300 kW로 진행되는 시점에서 천정부가 붕괴되어 스티로폼 샌드위치 패널의 구조적인 문제점이 발생되었다. 스티로폼 샌드위치 패널은 내부 심재에 화염이 전파되었을 경우 급속한 화염의 전파 속도로 인해 구조적인 문제점을 발생되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 향후 이와 같은 스티로폼 샌드위치 패널의 실물 화재 시험에 따른 연구 결과들이 화재안전 성능 등급 분류 기준 설정에 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

Study on the Category of Safety Models for the Urban Railway (도시철도 안전성 모델의 유형 분석)

  • Since reports on trip delays or incidents often appear as accident articles on the press, the social criticisms and concerns on the safety of the urban railway are increasing. Therefore, a railway authority sometimes adopts an abstract safety goal like "let's build the urban railway to a masterpiece level" or "let's obtain an aeronautic safety level" to make citizens relieved and to alert involved persons. However with a vague goal, it is almost impossible to make an implementation plan systematic which helps the authority academically verify and validate if the goal is achieved or not. In this paper, the features of the railway safety are described and the safety models for securing the safety of the urban railway are surveyed and categorized. Based on the comparisons among the features and limitations of the models, we identify a more practical model which can be applied to the urban railway more effectively.

  • 원자력 발전소의 안전성 보장 및 신뢰성 향상을 위하여 시운전 단계에서 원자력 발전소내 안전등급에 해당하는 배관계통의 상태 확인을 위하여 각종시험을 하도록 되어있다. 특히 새로운 설계기념, 크기 또는 용량을 갖는 원자로 모델에 대해서는 필수적으로 건전성 평가를 하게 되었다. 이를 위해 발전소 건설기간에 시행하는 고온 기능시험 중에 원자로 주변 주요 시스템인 원자로 냉각재 루프 계통에 대한 건전성 확인을 위해 압전형 고온 가속도 센서를 이용하여 정상운전상태의 진동을 측정하여 시스템 진동거동을 규명하였다. 배관시스템의 일상운전상태는 유체의 흐름과 기기운전이 일정한 정상상태와 펌프의 기동 또는 정지 및 밸브의 급격한 개폐등으로 발생하는 과도상태로 나눌 수 있다. 따라서 두 가지 상태의 진동을 측정해야 한다. 배관계통은 정상운전 상태로 설계수명을 유지할 수 있어야 하므로 정상진도잉 최소화 되어야 한다. 진동 평가기준은 배관재질의 응력(S/N 커브) 곡선을 참조하여 설계수명내에 손상이 일어나지 않도록 재료의 허용응력을 산정하고 이를 진동변위로 환산하여 정한 것이며 이 값에 측정 데이타를 비교하여 1차계통 배관의 건전성을 확인하였다.

  • Type 1 and type 2 buildings must regularly conduct precise safety inspections and precise safety diagnosis for the safety and maintenance of facilities, and the safety grade of the building is determined according to the results of the implementation. In addition, the cycle of inspection and diagnosis is determined according to the safety grade of the building. In order to determine the safety grade of the building, a precise safety inspection conducts condition evaluation, and a precise safety diagnosis conducts condition evaluation and safety evaluation. Therefore, since the inspection and diagnosis cycle is determined according to the safety grade of the building, the condition evaluation and safety evaluation must be precise. However, in the case of member unit evaluation, which is the first step in evaluating the current condition, the evaluation grade is determined by using the representative value of the measurement result, and this may result in an error in the evaluation grade. To solve this problem, this study analyzed evaluation criteria for each evaluation item and presented evaluation criteria using inequalities to respond to measurement results and evaluation scores. In addition, we present a functional formula that can reflect performance scores for each evaluation item.

Research on Application of Functional Safety for Developing Combat Hybrid Electric Vehicles (하이브리드 전투차량의 기능안전성 적용 연구)

  • Hybrid electric propulsion systems are expected as future primary combat platforms because the systems can supply enough electric power, easily locate components inside vehicles, and maneuver without undesired noise. However, increasing electric/electronic/software usage causes abnormal failure patterns which have not been noticeable in conventional automotive. Recently, the functional safety standard for road vehicles were enacted and vehicle manufacturers request their components which satisfy standardized quality. This research analyzes functional safety standards(IEC 61508 and ISO 26262) and compares the standards for road vehicles with military standards of system safety. Strategies to apply functional safety in the combat hybrid electric vehicle are scrutinized.

  • IPTV나 DTV에서 사용하는 CAS는 하나의 스트리밍으로 하나의 콘텐츠만을 전송하는 환경이지만 SVC와의 결합을 통해 사용자의 다양한 비디오 어플리케이션을 단일 스트리밍으로 지원하도록 개선할 수 있다. 이러한 환경에서는 효율성을 우선적으로 설계하여야 하며, 서비스 등급별 과금 정책을 위해 계층적 키 관리 기법의 적용이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 CAS에 SVC를 적용함에 있어 발생할 수 있는 문제점들에 대해 살펴보고 CAS환경에서의 SVC 암호화기법에 대해 제안한다. 제안하는 기법의 안전성은 기존 CAS와 단방향 해시 함수의 안전성에 기반하며, 기존 CAS에 비교적 적은 오버헤드로 적용이 가능하다는 장점이 있다.

A Study on the Relation of Rebar Corrosion Rate and the Strength Reliability Index of RC Slab Decks having Chloride Contamination (염해 손상을 받는 RC 교량 바닥판의 강도 신뢰성 지수와 철근 부식도 등급과의 관계 연구)

  • This study focuses on evaluating the reliability index of a deck of RC slab having chloride contamination and studying the relation of grades of rebar corrosion and the reliability index of a bridge deck For this purpose, first, the failure probability related to flexural strength was calculated using a model for deterioration, which contains the application of deicing salts that usually causes significant long-term deterioration and reduction in the structural safety for strength of structure. And also, according to the depth of covering, the chloride contents depending on time due to depths of RC slab deck, the appearance time for initial corrosion of rebar and the occurrence time for split of covering were investigated using a MCS method.
