본 연구는 승마용 안전모의 신뢰성 확보를 위해 안전기준을 정립하기 위한 연구이다. 국내 외 레저 스포츠 안전모 관련 안전기준을 비교 분석하여 도출한 주요 시험평가방법을 현재 국내에 유통 중인 중저가 승마용 안전모를 대상으로 성능시험을 하였다. 충격흡수성 시험 시 1축과 3축 가속도 센서를 이용한 시험방법에 대해서 성능평가 데이터를 통해 1축 가속도 센서를 이용한 충격흡수성 시험으로 선정하였다. 유지시스템의 강도시험에서 헤드 폼 서포트 방식과 후크 서포트 방식으로 구분되던 것을 시료에 손상 없이 시험 가능한 헤드 폼 서포트 방식으로 결정하였다. 이와 같이 승마용 안전모의 안전기준을 정립하여 제품의 안전성 및 신뢰성을 확보하고 나아가 "품질경영 및 공산품 안전 관리법"에 규정함으로써 자국민의 안전을 확보하고 중국산 저가 제품에 대한 시장진입장벽을 구축하여 경쟁력 있는 안전모 시장을 구축하기를 기대한다.

회사의 안전을 위해서 필요한 것에는 무엇이 있을까? 최고경영자의 안전에 대한 의지, 안전관리자의 능력, 그리고 체계적인 안전시스템 등 여러가지가 있을 것이다. 하지만 그 무엇보다 중요한 것이 바로 생산현장 근로자들의 안전의식이 아닐까 싶다. 현장 근로자들은 '제품생산'이라는 핵심적인 업무를 수행하기 위해 위험요인이 가장 많은 작업현장에서 하루의 대부분을 보낸다. 따라서 이들이 안전을 얼마나 생각하고 실천하느냐에 따라 그 사업장의 안전수준이 결정된다고 할 수 있다. LG Display는 바로 이러한 점을 놓치지 않았다. 산업현장에서 끊임없이 발생하는 산업재해의 가장 큰 원인이 현장 직원들의 안전의식이라고 보고, 이들의 안전의식을 높이는데 많은 투자를 기울여왔다. 'LG Display 안전학교'는 바로 회사의 이러한 취지 아래 설립된 것이다. 자신들의 교육이 산업현장 안전의 초석이 된다는 믿음을 가지고 끊임없이 노력해나가고 있는 'LG Display 안전학교'를 찾아가봤다.

국민 생활안전과 관련된 안전디자인에서 기본적으로는 안전성이 가장 중요한 요소가 되지만, 디자인의 고유 요소들도 아울러 고려하지 않으면 안 된다. 안전디자인은 산업디자인의 고유 특성과 인간공학과 안전 공학적 측면을 포함해야한다는 특성을 가지고 있다. 즉 안전디자인이란 제품 시설 공간 등에 설계 제조 건축 운영 등의 형태로 적용되어 주기능의 '안전' 달성도를 높이고, 타 기능과의 상승적 융합을 통해 사회 안전 수준을 향상시키는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 지금까지의 국내외 관련 논문, 보고서, 통계자료 등의 문헌연구에 대한 이론적 고찰을 통해 안전디자인 개념과 구성요소, 안전디자인의 범위에 대해 살펴보았다. 또한 작업공간에서의 안전디자인의 개념을 체계적으로 정립하고 있는 호주의 안전디자인 원칙 가이드라인에 대해 살펴봄으로써 안전디자인에서 지켜져야 할 다섯 가지의 원칙에 대해 논의하여 안전디자인의 확립에 도움이 되는 기초 연구로서 활용이 되고자 했다.

본 연구에서는 중대재해처벌법 안전보건관리체계 7가지 핵심요소가 기업의 안전성과에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 최초 연구이다. 이를 위해 중대재해처벌법 안전보건관리체게 7가지 핵심요인별 측정도구를 개발하고 기존 선행연구를 바탕으로 한 안전성과 측정도구를 적용하여 그 관계성과 재해발생빈도 감소의 영향도 확인 한다. 연구결과는 중대재해처벌법 안전보건관리체계 구축이 안전성과에 유의한 결과를 가질 것으로 보이며, 안전보건관리체계 구축이 재해발생빈도 감소에도 직접적인 영향이 미칠 것으로 판단된다. 개발된 중대재해처벌법 안전보건관리체계 구축 측정 도구는 향후 여러 산업분야의 안전관리 및 성과 측정에 많이 활용 되리자 본다. 그리고 향후 안전보건관리체계 구축-안전성과-재해경감활동관리체계 관계연구의 기초 연구가 될 것 이다.

기술표준원은 전기용품안전관리법의 개정시행으로 2000. 7. 1부터 전기용품형식제도가 안전인증제도로 변경되면서 전기용품기술기준을 연차적으로 국제기준(IEC)체제의 안전기준으로 전환됨에 따라 새로이 적용되는 국제기준 체제에 부합하는 전기용품안전기준의 조기정착과 전기용품의 안전성 확보를 지원하기 위하여 안전기준에 대한 토론회를 개최하고 있다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of safety culture on the safety consciousness and safety behaviors of manufacturing workers, and to suggest ways for manufacturing workers to understand the safety culture and improve safety consciousness and safety behavior. To achieve this research objective, out of 176 industrial complexes in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province registered with the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, workers at 50 industrial complexes, including the Korea Export-Industrial Complex and Seoul's Onsuji, were subject to research. The implementation of this survey distributed 300 questionnaires through the mid-level managers of manufacturers and environment safety and health managers over a period of one month from August 1st to 31st, 2019, finally statisticalizing the data in 282 parts excluding 18 questionnaires deemed to have been unresponsive. First, the safety culture (safety climate, safety procedures) has a positive effect on the safety consciousness (recognition of importance, interest and participation inducement) of the manufacturing workers. Second, the safety culture (safety climate, safety procedures) has a positive effect on the safety behavior (safety planning, safety check) of manufacturing workers. Third, safety consciousness (recognition of importance, interest and inducement of participation) has a positive influence on the safety behavior (safety planning, safety check) of manufacturing workers. Fourth, the safety consciousness (recognition of importance, interest and inducement of participation) appears to have a partial mediating effect in relation to safety culture (safety climate, safety procedure) and safety behavior (safety planning, safety check) of manufacturing workers. The implication of this study is that although the industrial accidents have occurred in the manufacturing industry in recent years, the studies on the workers in the manufacturing industry are insufficient. However, this study is meaningful that it has suggested ways for manufacturing workers to understand the safety culture and improve the safety consciousness and safety behavior by analyzing the effects of safety culture on safety consciousness and safety behavior of manufacturing workers.

The purpose of this paper is to explore Korean adolescents' understanding of safety using the indigenous psychologies approach. This paper examines Korean adolescents' experience of the type of accidents they were involved in, what they perceived to be the cause of the accident, the type of social support received after the accident, and the prevention needed to avoid future accidents. The indigenous understanding of accidents is examined according to the grade level of the students, gender, and safety efficacy beliefs. Second, to examine the changes in the safety efficacy beliefs, the differences across primary, junior high, and senior high school students are examined. Third, the relationship between safety efficacy belief and attitudes toward preventing future accidents is explored. Third, the parental influence on adolescents' safety efficacy belief is examined by analyzing the influence of their socio-economic status and their safety efficacy belief on their children's safety efficacy belief and behavior. The review of the results can be summarized into the following five main points: (1) decrease in safety efficacy belief with increasing age, (2) positive relationship between safety efficacy belief and behavior, (3) the utility of the indigenous psychologies approach, (4) the parental influence on their children's safety efficacy beliefs and behavior, and (5) the need to further explore, promote, and educate the importance of human life and quality of life by preventing accidents and promoting safety consciousness and behavior in Korea.

최근 우수한 안전관리로 유명한 주요 건설사들이 각자의 안전역량을 겨루는 자리가 마련돼 화제가 됐다. 그것은 바로 한국도로공사가 개최한 '제1회 전국 건설안전 경진대회'였다. 이 자리에는 대우건설, 현대산업개발, 대림산업, 포스코건설, GS건설, 한화건설 등 내로라하는 건설사들이 대거 참여해 자사가 자랑하는 안전관리기법과 기술을 소개했다. 우열을 가리기 힘든 치열한 경합 끝에 대회 최우수상인 고용노동부 장관상의 영예는 대우건설 동홍천~양양간 고속도로 14공구 현장이 차지했다. 본지는 이곳 현장의 안전관리를 이끌고 있는 박성환 안전팀장을 만나 그만의 안전철학과 안전관리 비법 등에 대해 이야기를 나누어봤다.

국내 시공능력평가는 15위이지만 해외고급건축 시공실적 1위로 국내보다 해외에서 그 명성이 높은 쌍용건설이 시공 능력 뿐만 아니라 안전관리분야에서도 새로운 지평을 열어가고 있다. 안전관리로 대한민국 이미지까지 상승시켜주고 있는 쌍용건설은 2009년 대비 2010년 재해율 80%라는 놀라운 감소율을 보이며 올해 건설안전계의 다크호스로 떠오르고 있다. 앞으로 국내에서도 1위 쌍용건설로 급부상하기 위해 가치로 두고 있는 것이 바로 안전관리다. 이들 안전관리를 총 진두지휘하는 사령본부 안전환경부를 찾아 쌍용건설만의 안전관리에 대해 들어보았다.
