Over the past few years, a considerable number of studies have been conducted on modeling the bargaining game using artificial agents on within-model interaction. However, very few attempts have been made at study on between-model interaction. This paper investigates the interaction and co-evolutionary process among heterogeneous artificial agents in the bargaining game. We present two kinds of the artificial agents participating in the bargaining game. They play some bargaining games with their strategies based on genetic algorithm (GA) and reinforcement learning (RL). We compare agents' performance between two agents under various conditions which are the changes of the parameters of artificial agents and the maximal number of round in the bargaining game. Finally, we discuss which agents show better performance and why the results are produced.
The monitoring and diagnostics of the rotating machinery have been received considerable attention for many years. The objectives are to classify the machinery condition and to find out the cause of abnormal condition. This paper describes a classification method of diagnosing the small reciprocating compressor for refrigerators using the artificial neural network and the wavelet transform. In order to extract salient features, the wavelet transform are used from primary noise signals. Since the wavelet transform decomposes raw time-waveform signals into two respective parts in the time space and frequency domain, more and better features can be obtained easier than time-waveform analysis. In the training phase for classification, self-organizing feature map(SOFM) and learning vector quantization(LVQ) are applied, and the accuracies of them ate compared with each other. This paper is focused on the development of an advanced signal classifier to automatize the vibration signal pattern recognition. This method is verified by small reciprocating compressors, for refrigerator and normal and abnormal conditions are classified with high flexibility and reliability.
Hermetic rotary compressor is one of the most important components for air conditioning system since it has a great effect on both the performance and the noise and vibration of the system. Noise and vibration of rotary compressor is occurred due to gas pulsation during compression process and unbalanced dynamic force. In order to reduce noise and vibration, It is necessary to identify sources of noise and vibration and effectively control them. Many approaches have been tried to identify noise sources of compressor. However, compressor noise source identification has proven to be difficult since the characteristics of compressor noise are complicated due to the interaction of the compressor parts and gas pulsation. In this work, Statistical Energy Analysis has been used to trace the energy flow in the compressor and identify transmission paths from the noise source to the sound field.
This paper estimates the nation wide amount of forest biomass arising from management operation for domestic forest based on the simulations that are composed of five scenarios for selecting the target area of thinning. In 2009, the forest biomass arising from thinning is estimated to be 6,642,174 $m^3$. The estimates of forest biomass in 2015 and 2018 are 5,935,140 $m^3$ and 5,682,538 $m^3$, respectively. Since the target forest for thinning policy is estimated to be decreasing, the biomass generated by thinning will decline too. The estimates of forest biomass can be used to induce more effective application of woody biomass rather than one-sided use such as raw materials for solid fuels including pellets and charcoals.
Forest biomass can be used as various types of raw materials such as pulp, wood pellets, solid charcoals and so on. This paper estimates the nation wide amount of forest biomass based on the projection of forest areas for its effective and economic use. Several trend equations are used in projecting the forest areas. In 2009, the forest biomass arising from thinning is estimated be 6,591,575 $m^3$. The estimates of forest biomass in 2015 and 2018 are 6,375,627 $m^3$ and 6,284,779 $m^3$, respectively. Since the forest areas are projected to be declining, the biomass generated by thinning will decrease. This implies that the new alternatives for supplying raw materials for biofuels must be prepared before then.
The water celery, Oenanthe Javanica DC., is a perennial herb which mostly grows on a damp ground or a streamside. The water celery is widely distributed in Korea, Japan, china, Taiwan, Indonesia, Malaysia and the other countries. From ancient times, the water celery has widely been used for food or medicine. In herbal medicine, the water celery has a medical actions which are defervescence, diuresis, jaundice, edema, hypotensor, haematic, angiostasis, sthenia, appetizer. Recently, studies on the water celery are briskly being conducted. For example, studies on the morphologic property and classifications of origin of the water celery, studies on the chemical constituents of the water celery which contains vitamins, proteins and amino acids, studies on the bio activities of the water celery which contains flavonoids. However, there is not studies of hematological changes in dogs administrated the water celery until now. Consicontly, this study was conducted to observed the hematological changes in dogs administrated excessive amount of the water celery crude juice for a long period. In this studies, all dogs showed significantly decrease of the PCV and Hb, and increase of the WBC, GSH and reticulocytes, but did not significantly change in the RBC, MCV, MCHC and Met-Hb.
During the last decades, global warming from the increased amount of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide has become a major political and scientific issue. Burning fossil fuels (natural gas, coal and oil) releases $CO_2$, which is also a major cause of global warming. Among the clean environment, wood pellets are considered as promising renewable fossil fuels because of clean burning characteristics, reduction of particulate and NOx emission from combustion. In Korea, more than 50% pellets have to be imported every year because of shortage of feedstocks. On the other hand, about 80% of wood pulps are greatly dependent upon overseas products due to limited forest resources. Under this situation, this study explored how efficiently we have to use forest biomass instead of total dependence on wood as raw materials for pellets.
In order to investigate the structures and growth patterns of pulp and paper industries of Korea, the input-output tables of the year 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2007 were analyzed in this papers. The production inducement coefficients of these industries have grown during the designated period. In 2007, the value of production induced by pulp industry was estimated to be 343,8 billion won. Paper and paper product industries were estimated to induce the production of other industries by 7,281,6 and 8,515.9 billion won, respectively. The import inducement effect of pulp industry was estimated to be larger than that of paper and paper product industries. Analysis on the forward linkage effects indicated that paper and paper product industries were more sensitive to the change in demand of other industries than pulp industry.
The overall aim of this paper is to determine coupling loss factor using loss factor and structural loss factor. For this purpose, two kinds of loss factor were adopted. One is loss factor of each sub structure, another is structural loss factor based on the complex welded or assembled structure. Using these two parameters, it is possible to derive the coupling loss factor which represent characteristic condition of SEA theory. Coupling loss factor of conjunction in complex structure was expressed as power balance equation. The derived equation for a coupling loss factor has been simplified on the assumption of one directional power flow between two sub structures. Using these conditions, it is possible to find the coupling loss factor equation. The comparison between theory of power transmission on conjunction and above equation, show a good agreement in simple beam structure. To check the effectiveness of above equation, it was adopted rotary compressor. Rotary compressor has three main conjunctions between shell and internal vibration part. This equation was applied to find out the optimum welding point with respect to reduce the noise propagation. It shows the effective tool to evaluate the coupling loss factor in complex structure.
