The Information Technology has progressed to the open architecture, component, and multimedia services under Internet, ensuring interoperability, reusability, and realtime. The GIS is a system processing geo-spatial information such as natural resources, buildings, roads, and many kinds of facilities in the earth. The spatial information featured by complexity and diversity requires interoperability and reusability of pre-built databases under open architecture. This paper is for the development of component based open GIS Software. The goal of the open GIS component software is a middleware of GIS combining technology of open architecture and component ensuring interoperability of spatial information and reusability of elementary pieces of GIS software. The open GIS component conforms to the distributed open architecture for spatial information proposed by OGC (Open GIS Consortium). The system consists of data provider components, kernel (MapBase) components, clearinghouse components and five kinds of GIS application of local governments. The data provider component places a unique OLE DB interface to connect and access diverse data sources independent of their formats and locations. The MapBase component supports core and common technology of GIS feasible for various applications. The clearinghouse component provides functionality about discovery and access of spatial information under Internet. The system is implemented using ATL/COM and Visual C++ under MicroSoft's Windows environment and consisted of more than 20 components. As we made case study for KSDI (Korea Spatial Data Infrastructure) sharing spatial information between local governments, the advantage of component based open GIS software was proved. Now, we are undertaking another case study for sharing seven kinds of underground facilities using the open GIS component software.

SLA (Service Level Agreement) is an essential factor that must be guaranteed to provide a reliable and consistent service to user in cloud computing environment. Especially, a contract between user and service provider with SLA is important in an environment using a cloud service brokerage. The cloud computing is classified into IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS according to IT resources of the various cloud service. The existing SLA is difficult to reflect the quality factors of service, because it only considers factors about the physical Network environment and have no methodological approach. In this paper, we suggested a method to specify the quality characteristics of software and proposed a mechanism and structure that can exchange SLA specification between the service provider and consumer. We defined a meta-model for the SLA specification in the SaaS level, and quality requirements of the SaaS were described by the proposed specification language. Through case studies, we verified proposed specification language that can present a variety of software quality factors. By using the UDDI-based mediation process and architecture to interchange this specification, it is stored in the repository of quality specifications and exchanged during service binding time.

WiBro 서비스는 휴대형 단말기를 통해 실외에서도 정지 및 이동중에도 고속도로 인터넷에서 접속하여 필요한 정보나 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 이용할 수 있게 하는 통신 서비스이다. WiBro 유무선통합커뮤니케이션 서비스는 WiBro 뿐만 아니라 유선 초고속 인터넷, 무선랜 등 통합 환경에서 메신저, 영상대화, MMS, e-메일 등 다양한 커뮤니케이션 서비스를 제공하는 서비스로 언제 어디서나 사용자가 상대방과 연결될 수 있는 유비쿼터스 커뮤니케이션을 제공한다. 다양한 단말, 장비기기들 및 사업자간의 상호 운용이 가능하도록 IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) 아키텍처를 기반으로 SIP 표준 프로토콜을 사용하여 구축되었으며 IP 커뮤니케이션을 중심으로 다양한 응용서비스 연동 및 제공이 가능하다.

M&S (Modeling & Simulation) based design is widely accepted for the development of the future weapon system with better performance in a cheaper and faster way. Integrated simulation environment (ISE) is needed for the M&S based design. On the ISE, system engineers can not only verify design options but also validate system requirements. In this paper, we propose architectural models of the integrated simulation environment (ISE) which incorporates mission effectiveness M&S (Modeling & Simulation), system performance M&S, the optimization model of integrated performances, digital mockup and virtual prototype. The ISE architectural models may be used to implement the ISE for the development of the future unmanned ground combat vehicle.

With the evolution to distributed computing technology, the concept of conventional client/server function has been advanced to Service-Oriented Architecture, which can share the information between heterogeneous systems as services. To success Service-Oriented Architecture, the conjunction between business layer and application layer is one of the important techniques. In this paper, we classify services into two views, vertical and horizontal, and introduce matching technique with service classification for SOA.

기업내부의 최적화를 위하여 도입 된 ERP 는 급변하는 경영환경을 반영하여 전략적 수단으로 기능하는데 까지 발전하여 왔으며, 현재에는 다른 시스템이나 경영 도구들과의 연계성이 더욱 강조되고 있다. 특히 확장된 ERP 의한 영역인 SEM(Strategic Enterprise Management)은 각 기업들이 성과평가와 시나리오 경영 등 최신 경영도구들의 본격적인 도입으로 각광받고 있으며, 경영계획 및 시뮬레이션(BPS : Business Planning & simulation), 경영 통합 및 소싱(BCS : Business Consolidation & Sourcing), 기업실적 모니터(CPM : Corporate Performance Monitor), 이해당사자 관계관리(SRM : Stakeholder Relationship Management) 등의 세부 시스템으로 구성된다. 특히 경영계획 시스템은 개선된 경영계획 프로세스 모델과 시뮬레이션을 바탕으로 구현될 수 있으며, 본 논문에서는 경영계획 프로세스 모델을 바탕으로 이를 시스템화 하기 위한 경영계획 시뮬레이션 시스템 아키텍처와 User Interface를 제안하였다.

최근 전 세계는 지구온난화와 기후변화로 상징되는 '환경'위기와 고유가로 대표되는 '자원'위기를 동시에 맞이하고 있다. 정보화의 가속으로 IT 기기의 증가 및 인터넷의 통신량 증가는 IDC 운영에도 많은 영향을 주고 있다. 그 중에서도 대부분의 운영비용이 막대한 전력 소모로 인해 발생하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 따라 IDC 사업자들은 운영 경비의 비용을 줄이기 위해 IDC의 불필요한 인적, 물적 자원의 소모를 줄이며, 고성능 저비용, 저전력 장비 확보에 많은 관심을 기울이고 있다. 제안 시스템에서는 IDC의 서버와 스토리지 등의 IT 장비와 공조시스템과 전력공급시스템 등의 Non-IT 장비의 자동화 통합 관리를 통하여 인적, 물적 자원을 체계적으로 관리하여 이들의 활용성을 높이고, 나아가 IDC의 운영비용 및 효율을 고도화할 수 있도록 하였다.

본 논문에서는 Chesbrough의 개방형 혁신 이론을 간략하게 소개하고, 그것이 기술경영 이론에서 지니는 정확한 위치와 의의를 진단함으로써 그가 정말 기여한 부분은 어디인지를 평가한다. 개방형 혁신이란 기업이 연구, 개발, 상업화에 이르는 일련의 혁신 과정을 개방하여 외부 자원을 활용함으로써 혁신의 비용을 줄이고 성공 가능성을 제고하며 부가가치 창출을 극대화하는 기업 혁신의 방법론으로 요약될 수 있다. 이 글의 결론은 개방형 혁신이 현상적으로도 최근의 현상이 아닐 뿐 아니라, 이론적으로도 기존의 내용과 다른 것이 없다는 것이다. 즉, 그의 개방형 혁신은 이름은 새롭지만 그 내용을 보면 새로운 혁신 방법론은 아니라는 평가이다. 그가 기여한 것은 기존에 이미 연구된 여러 주제들을 개방형 혁신이라는 하나의 이름으로 묶어줌으로써 기업 전략을 위한 통일된 프레임웍을 제공한 것에 있다. 이런 점에서 그는 기술혁신 방법론에 대한 일종의 "아키텍처 혁신"을 시도한 셈이라고 볼 수 있다. 그리고 최근에 활발해진 개방형 혁신의 배경으로서 지식 환경의 변화를 강조한 것도 그의 기여라고 볼 수 있겠다.

PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)와 같은 Mobile 이동통신기기를 사용한 인터넷 쇼핑은 향후 E-Commerce 시장에서 가장 크게 확산되어질 한 분야로 부상되고 있다. 그러나 현재 인터넷상에 혼재 되어있는 수많은 정보에 대하여 Mobile Environment상의 제한된 Screen Size와 더불어 느린 통신 속도, 무선 인터넷 접속시의 높은 비용 등의 문제로 다량의 정보에 대한 확인과 검색이 어렵고, 고객이 원하지 않는 정보 또한 산재되어 있어 개인화(Personalization)된 검색 서비스의 요구가 대두되는 실정이다. 이로 인해 본 연구에서는 PDA 및 Handhold PC를 이용하는 User의 취향 정보와 만족도 등을 기준으로 보다 편리하고 효율적인 개인화 Interface의 제공 및 이를 이용한 손쉬운 검색 방식을 제시한다. 또한 User 인터랙션 정보를 통해 Feedback함으로써 보다 완벽하게 User 개인별 취향에 접근할 수 있는 Browsing기법을 제시한다.

EJB는 Sun사에서 발표한 분산 객체 구조에 맞는 서버쪽 컴포넌트 아키텍처이다. EJB를 사용하면 다중 네트워크 환경에서 애플리케이션의 디자인과 개발, 배포가 쉬워진다. 개발자는 하부 사항에 대해 신경쓰지 않고 상위 레벨에서 애플리케이션을 설계할 수 있다. EJB 1.1 명세서는 그러한 내용을 나타내고 있는 명세서이다. 하지만 이 명세에서는 멀티 스레드를 허용하지 않는다. 멀티 스레드는 프로그래밍에서 상당히 유용한 것으로 멀티 스레드를 사용하면 다른 오브젝트에 영향을 주지 않으면서 작업을 수행할 수 있는 등 여러 가지 이점이 많다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 이점을 살려서 명세서에 따르면서 멀티 스레드를 생성하는 방법에 대해 알아보고자 한다 본 논문에서 제시하는 방법은 클라이언트 쪽에서 멀티 스레딩을 생성하는 방법, 콜백 서비스를 이용하는 방법, 메세징 서비스를 이용하는 방법 3가지이고 각각에는 장단점이 따른다. 따라서 실제 구현 시에는 각자의 요구 사항에 맞춰 알맞은 방법을 찾아야 한다.
