The Microstructure and the Electrochemical Characteristics of Zr based Zr-V-Mn-Ni Laves Phase Alloy (Zr-V-Mn-Ni계 라브스상 합금의 미세 구조와 전기 화학적 특성)

  • $ZrV_{0.1}Mn_{0.7}Ni_{1.2}$ alloy ingot (bulk alloy) made by the arc melting was found to be consisting of mostly of $ZrV_{0.2}Mn_{0.98}Ni_{1.04}$ matrix alloy and $ZrV_{0.01}Mn_{0.13}Ni_{1.2}$ 2nd phase alloy. The former alloy had the form of the C15 type Laves alloy structure and the latter one had the intermetallic compound structure of $Zr_9Ni_{11}$. In order to investigate the effect of these two phases on the electrochemical charge-discharge characteristics of bulk $ZrV_[0.1}Mn_0.7}Ni_{1.2}$ alloy, the matrix and the 2nd phase alloys were fabricated separately by arc melting method and their electrochemical characteristics were studied and compared with the bulk alloy. It was found that the discharge capacity was the lowest of 160 mAh/g in the 2nd phase alloy. The matrix alloy exhibited 200 mAh/g. Both were lower than that of the bulk alloy of 250 mAh/g. The matrix and the bulk alloys showed a similar properties in the activation stage, the high rate dischargeability and the self discharge characteristics. Also a signigicant capacity decrease was observed after activation in both alloys. Whereas the 2nd phase alloy showed the very different characteristics. This alloy was found to be difficult to activate. However the capacity was remained constant after the activation. Also the self discharge rate was seen to be better than those of the matrix and the bulk alloys.

  • The Electrochemical stabilities of the Brewer-Engel type intermetallic compounds of Co-Mo $(35 wt\%)$ and Ni-Mo$(35 wt\%)$ manufactured by the arc-melting method for the hydrogen electrode of $H_2-O_2$ alkaline fuel cell were investigated. Effects of temperature and concentration on the electrochemical behavior of the electrodes in the $80^{\circ}C$ 6 N KOH solution deaerated with $N_2$ gas were studied by electrochemical methods. The effect of overpotential on the electrochemical stabilities of Co-Mo and Ni-Mo intermetallic compounds was also discussed under the normal operation condition of AFC. It was shown that Co-Mo electrode had lower electrochemical stability as compared to Ni-Mo. In the case of Co-Mo electrode, a simultaneous dissolution of cobalt and molybdenum has occurred at low anodic overpotential form equilibrium hydrogen electrode potential, but the dissolution of cobalt was serious, and Co(OH)l layer on the electrode surface formed at the high anodic overpotential. In contrast the Ni-Mo electrode had high electrochemical stability because formation of the dense and thin protective $Ni(OH)_2$ layer prevented the dissolution of molybdenum.

Fe첨가에 따른 지르코늄의 재결정 현상

  • Fe량을 0 - 0.4 wt.%까지 변화시켜 Zr-Fe 이원계 합금을 진공아크용해로 제조한 후 1050 $^{\circ}C$에서 30분 균질화 처리 및 700 $^{\circ}C$에서의 열간압연, 그리고 2회의 걸친 냉간압연 및 열처리를 통하여 판재로 제조되었다. 중간 열처리 시 열처리 온도 및 시간을 조절하여 최종 냉간가공에 앞서 각 시편의 결정립 크기 및 경도 값이 같도록 조절하였다. 최종 냉간가공 시 냉간가공량을 60%로 동일하게 조절하였고, 최종열처리 시 열처리 온도 및 시간을 300-750 $^{\circ}C$, 5-3000분으로 각각 변화시켰다. 재결정 정도는 미세조직 관찰 및 경도 측정으로 평가되었으며, 석출물의 구조, 분포 및 형상 등도 TEM으로 분석되었다. 0.1 wt.% 정도까지의 Fe 첨가는 Fe를 첨가하지 않은 순수지르코늄에 비하여 지르코늄입자의 빠른 성장을 야기해, 조대한 재결정 지르코늄 입자들이 나타났다. 그러나 Fe 첨가량이 0.1wt.%이상 첨가되면, Zr$_3$Fe 석출물에 의한 입자성장 억제효과로 지르코늄 입자의 크기는 오히려 작아졌다. 결론적으로, Fe의 첨가는 지르코늄의 확산을 가속시켰다는 것을 보여준다. 한편, 750 $^{\circ}C$에서 열처리 시 이차 재결정현상으로 지르코늄 입자가 비정상적으로 매우 커졌으며, 동시에 annealing twining 현상이 관찰되었다. 이러한 annealing twining 현상은, 입자성장속도가 임계치 이상으로 갑자기 커진, Zr$_3$Fe 석출물이 거의 없는 합금에서만 나타났다. 이 결과를 토대로 annealing twining 현상은 입자의 빠른 이동이 필요 조건이라는 결론을 도출하였다. .Ar-4vol.%H$_2$ 분위기보다 H$_2$분위기에서 소결했을 때 밀도가 더 높았다. 그러나, 결정립은 $UO_2$$UO_2$-Li$_2$O의 경우, 수소분위기에서 소결했을 때, (U,Ce)O$_2$와 (U,Ce)O$_2$-Li$_2$O에서는 Ar-4vol.%H$_2$분위기에서 소결했을 때 더욱 성장하였다.설명해 줄 수 있다. 넷째, 불규칙적이며 종잡기 힘들고 단편적인 것으로만 보이던 중간언어도 일정한 체계 속에서 변화한다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 다섯째, 종전의 오류 분석에서는 지나치게 모국어의 영향만 강조하고 다른 요인들에 대해서는 다분히 추상적인 언급으로 끝났지만 이 분석을 통 해서 배경어, 목표어, 특히 중간규칙의 역할이 괄목할 만한 것임을 가시적으로 관찰할 수 있 다. 이와 같은 오류분석 방법은 학습자의 모국어 및 관련 외국어의 음운규칙만 알면 어느 학습대상 외국어에라도 적용할 수 있는 보편성을 지니는 것으로 사료된다.없다. 그렇다면 겹의문사를 [-wh]의리를 지 닌 의문사의 병렬로 분석할 수 없다. 예를 들어 누구누구를 [주구-이-ν가] [누구누구-이- ν가]로부터 생성되었다고 볼 수 없다. 그러므로 [-wh] 겹의문사는 복수 의미를 지닐 수 없 다. 그러면 단수 의미는 어떻게 생성되는가\ulcorner 본 논문에서는 표면적 형태에도 불구하고 [-wh]의미의 겹의문사는 병렬적 관계의 합성어가 아니라 내부구조를 지니지 않은 단순한 단어(minimal $X^{0}$ elements)로 가정한다. 즉, [+wh] 의미의 겹의문사는 동일한 구성요 소를 지닌 병렬적 합성어

Experimental Study for Overtopping Discharges of Sea Dike having Low Mound and High Wave Wall (LMHW) (낮은 마운드 높이에 높은 상치구조물을 갖는 경사식 호안(LMHW 호안)의 월파량에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Overtopping discharge for sea dike having low mound and high wave wall (LMHW sea dike) is investigated with hydraulic experiments in this study. Vertical, Flare and Bullnose type wave walls are selected and Tetrapods (double layer) and Accropode (one layer) are adopted for armour layers of the front slope. The results of the hydraulic experiments are compared to the overtopping formulas for armoured rubble slopes and vertical sea dikes suggested by EurOtop Manual. Predicted overtopping discharges are underestimated as the roughness efficiency factors (γf) of armour blocks suggested by EurOtop are adopted when the overtopping formula for armoured rubble slopes sea dike is used. Meanwhile the predicted overtopping discharges agree well with the hydraulic experiments when the modified roughness efficiency factors redefined by multiplying efficiency factor of the heights of armoured crest berm and wave wall (γAR) are adopted. Return wall effects on a vertical wall (Kortenhaus et al., 2003; Pearson et al., 2004a) and the effects on a smooth dike slope (Van Doorslaer et al., 2015) in EurOtop Manual are investigated for Flare and Bullnose type wave walls. As a results of the comparison between experimental results and 2 formulas, return wall effect on a smooth dike was more valid for LMHW sea dike.

Effect of the Structure of MoO3/bismuth molybdate Binary Phase Catalysts on the Selective Oxidation of Propylene (MoO3/bismuth molybdate 혼합 2상 촉매의 구조에 따른 프로필렌 선택산화반응 특성)

  • M/BM -series catalysts, $MoO_3$ supported on ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$ were also prepared by impregnation method. BM/M-series catalysts, ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$ supported on $MoO_3$ were also prepared by coprecipitation. Structure and catalytic properties of the two phase catalysts were studied by means of using nitrogen adsorption, X-ray diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy. The reaction test for the selective oxidation of propylene to acrolein over Bi-molybdate catalysts was studied using a fixed-bed reactor system. In M/BM-series catalysts, $MoO_3$ was dispersed on ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$, and the crystal structure of ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$ remains unchanged by the presence of excess $MoO_3$. However the surface morphology and bulk structure of BM/M-series catalysts were altered probably because the precipitated $Bi(OH)_3$ reacted with $MoO_3$ during the calcination to form ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$ phase. The results of propylene oxidation on both series catalysts showed that the reaction took place over the surface of ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$ particle and the role of excess $MoO_3$ was to supply oxygen to ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$. These increasing effects on activity were also observed in the mechanical mixtures of ${\alpha}-Bi_2Mo_3O_{12}$ and $MoO_3$.

레이저 유도 형광법(Laser Induced Fluorescence)을 이용한 플라즈마 방전 표시기(Plasma Display Panel)내의 전계 측정에 관한 연구

  • 교류형 플라즈마 방전 표시기(AC Plasma Display Panel, AC PDP)에 사용되는 플라즈마는 그 부피가 너무 작아서 플라즈마에 변화를 일으키지 않고 그 물성을 관측하기란 쉬운일이 아니다. 그래서 주로 PDP 내의 물성을 관측하는 데 시뮬레이션에 의존하게 된다. 그 물성중에 PDP내의 전계 분포에 대한 정보는 방전의 형성 및 소멸에 대한 많은 단서를 제공하고 있다. 특히 AC PDP의 경우, 유전체에 형성되는 벽적하(wall charge)가 방전의 형성 및 PDP 구동에 중요한 역할을 하는데, 이는 PDP 내의 전계 분포를 살펴봄으로써 대략 예측할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 시뮬레이션에 의존하지 않고, 직접 레이저 유도 형광법을 이용하여 AC PDP 내의 전계를 측정하였다. 방전 가스인 헬륨(He)의 에너지 준위는 전계의 크기에 따라 에너지 준위가 변화하여, Rydberg(n$\geq$8) 준위가 여러 개의 준위로 나누어지는 현상이 일어나는데, 이를 Stack 효과라고 한다. 따라서 전계의 세기가 커짐에 따라서 각 준위와 준위 사이 값(splitting)이 커지는데, 이를 이용하면 전계를 측정할 수 있다. 즉, 헬륨 원자를 여기시키는 레이저 파장을 변화시키면서 관측되는 레이저 유도 형광 신호를 관측하면, 준위의 splitting을 관측할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 PDP 내의 전계의 시간적 변화를 관측하였다. 50%, 40kHz의 구형파를 PDP의 두 전극에 가하였을 때, 플라즈마가 켜진 상태뿐만 아니라 플라즈마가 꺼진 후에도 전계에 의한 Splitting 신호가 관측이 되었는데, 전계로 환산하였을 때, 그 값은 대략 수 kV/cm의 값을 갖았는데, 이는 wall charge에 의한 값으로 사료된다.결과로 생각되어진다.플라즈마의 강도값을 입력하여 플라즈마의 radiation을 검출하고, 스퍼터링 공정중 실질적인 in-situ 정보로 이용하였다. PEM을 통하여 In/Sn의 플라즈마 강도변화를 조사하였다. 초기 In/Sn의 플라즈마 강도(intensity)는 강도를 100하여, 산소를 주입한 결과, plasma intensity가 35 줄어들었고, 이때 우수한 ITO 박막을 얻을 수 있었다. Pulsed DC power를 사용하여 아크 현상을 방지하였다. PET 상에 coating 된 ITO 박막의 표면저항과 광투과도는 4-point prove와 spectrophotometer를 이용하여 분석하였고, AES로 박막의 두께에 따른 성분비를 확인하였다. ITO 박막의 광투과도는 산소의 유량과 sputter 된 In/Sn ion의 plasma emission peak에 따라 72%-92%까지 변화하였으며, 저항은 37$\Omega$/$\square$ 이상을 나타내었다. 박막의 Sn/In atomic ratio는 0.12, O/In의 비율은 In2O3의 화학양론적 비율인 1.5보다 작은 1.3을 나타내었다.로 보인다.하면 수평축과 수직축의 분산 장벽의 비에 따라 cluster의 두께비가 달라지는 성장을 볼 수 있었고, 한 축 방향으로의 팔 넓이는 fcc(100) 표면의 경우 동일한 Ed+Ep값에 대응하는 팔 넓이와 거의 동일한 결과가 나타나는 것을 볼 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 비대칭적인 모양을 가지는 성장의 경우도 cluster 밀도, cluster 모양, cluster의 양 축 방향 길이 비, 양 축 방향의 평균 팔 넓이로부터 각 축 방향의 분산 장벽을 얻어낼 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 기대할 수 있는 여러

  • Ti-AI-Si-N coating layers were deposited on WC-Co substrates by a hybrid system of arc ion plating and sputtering techniques. The coatings were prepared with different Si contents to investigate the effect of Si content on their mechanical properties and microstructures. The dry sliding wear experiments were conducted on Ti-AI-Si-N coated WC-Co discs at constant load, 3N, and sliding speed, 0.1 m/s with two different counterpart materials such as steel ball and zirconia ball using a conventional ball-on-disc sliding wear apparatus. In the case of steel ball, the friction coefficient of Ti-AI-Si-N coating layers became lower than that of Ti-AI­N coating layers. The friction coefficient decreased with increasing of Si content due to adhesive wear behavior between coating layer and steel ball. On the contrary, in the case of zirconia ball, the friction coefficient increased with increasing of Si content, indicating that abrasive wear behavior was more dominant when the coating layers slid against zirconia ball.

  • In the power distribution panel installed in airport or industrial facilities, MCCB has been used for main switch and ELCB for branch switch to perform human body and leakage-inducing fire protection as well as overcurrent and short circuit protection. Especially for the airport panel, increase in accident protection is needed for stable power supply due to rapid modernization with fast-growing users, higer capacity and diversification of equipment, the increase of power capacity and the breaker made slim is a main issue for now because the issue for installation space is standing out by making panel with two-row arrangement connection method, etc. due to a many use of branch ELCBs. In this thesis, we designed arc extinguishing mechanism, considered movement direction change of contact in mechanism design. Also, we designed the breaker to work stably in case of miniaturization of leakage detection circuit and reverse connection. We conducted short circuit test to verify its function and developed the breaker that can be improved protection against accidental current with slim size operating leakage function when reverse connection to help solve the problem in using space that is increasing in the airport distribution panel.

  • Sparkjet actuator, also known as plasma synthetic jet actuator, which is a kind of active flow control actuator is considered as being high possibility for the supersonic flow control due to ejecting stronger jet compared to the other active flow control actuators. Sparkjet actuator generates high temperature and high pressure flow inside the cavity by using arc plasma and leads momentum by ejecting such flow through orifice or nozzle. In this research, numerical calculation of sparkjet actuator with respect to the location of electrodes which exists inside the cavity is conducted and the change of the performance of sparkjet actuator is suggested. As the location of electrodes goes closer to the bottom of the cavity, impulse is increased and the average pressure inside the cavity maintains higher. When the location of electrode is 25% and 75% of the entire cavity height, impulse is 2.515 μN·s and 2.057 μN·s, respectively. Each impulse is changed by about 9.92% and -10.09% compared to when the location of electrodes is 50% of the entire cavity height.

The Effect of Microwave Heating on the Mineralogical Phase Transformation of Pyrite and Fe Leaching (마이크로웨이브 가열이 황철석의 상변환과 Fe 용출에 미치는 효과)

  • In order to study the phase transformation of pyrite and to determine the maximum Fe leaching factors, pyrite samples were an electric furnace and microwave oven and then ammonia leaching was carried out. The rim structure of hematite was observed in the sample exposed in an electric furnace, whereas a rim structure consisting of hematite and pyrrhotite were found in the microwave treated sample. Numerous interconnected cracks were only formed in the microwave treated sample due to the arcing effect, and these cracks were not found in the electric furnace treated sample. Under XRD analysis, pyrite and hematite were observed in the electric furnace treated sample, whereas pyrite, hematite and pyrrhotite were found in the microwave treated sample. The results of the pyrite sample leaching experiments showed that the Fe leaching was maximized with the particle size of -325 mesh, sulfuric acid of 2.0 M, ammonium sulfate of 1.0 M, and hydrogen peroxide of 1.0 M. The electric furnace and microwave treated samples were tested under the maximum leaching conditions, the Fe leaching rate was much greater in the microwave treated sample than in the electric furnace treated sample and the maximum Fe leaching time was also faster in the microwave treated sample than in the electric furnace treated sample. Accordingly, it is expected that the microwave heating can enhance (or improve) Fe leaching in industrial minerals as well as pyrite decomposition in gold ores.
