Mexico IMMEX Program and the Changes of Maquiladora Industry (멕시코 IMMEX 프로그램과 마킬라도라 산업의 변화)

  • This study reviews the progress of maquiladora industry in Mexico and the development of the IMMEX program. The maquiladora program allows foreign-invested factories in Mexico to import raw materials and components duty free and to export the finished products to the U.S. It contributed to the increase in employment and population of border cities. Low wage level of Mexico induced not only standardized labor-intensive industries but also the high-tech automated industries requiring assembly process. In 2006, the Mexican government merged the maquiladora program and PITEX for Mexican export-oriented firms into a single new program, the IMMEX program, in order to promote exports more efficiently. This study presents the distributions of the IMMEX firms by industrial sector and by region. It is revealed that transport equipment sector leads the export industries in Mexico, and Tijuana and Juárez accommodate largest agglomerations of the IMMEX firms.

A Study on the Economic Structure of Mexican Northern Borderlands in Relation to the North American Free Trade Agreement (멕시코 북부 국경지대의 경제구조 변화에 관한 고찰)

  • This paper's main objective is to present an assessment of the impact of NAFTA on the economic structure of the Mexican northem borderlands. The NAFTA is the strategy of a free trade agreement with the United States and Canada, first mentioned by Salinas in June 1990 and established since January 1994. Mexican govemment permitted factories called maquiladoras at the northem borderlands for the first time in 1965. in the early 1980s Mexico was in a deep economic crisis and the international environment was adverse to Mexico. Mexico began to move toward an open economy and abandoned the import-substitution industrialization model that characterized Mexico since the 1930s. Through the new economic reform, the market system was preferred to the regulation; the private ownership, to the public ownership; and the competition, to the protection. The most phenomenal urbanization in northem Mexico has occurred around the major crossing points along the Mexico-U.S. border. The rapid urbanization in northern Mexico has been much due to the industrialization, brought about bv the maquiladora programs and, recently, by the NAFTA.

  • Digital Twin is prediction system of simulation results that making virtual reality of real statement. It is various used for solution of problem on industry or social. Therefore it will used for various tests about development of virtual and real city. For verify this systems, it needed testing technology that tests of software on virtual system. So in this paper we study about trends of software testing technology on digital twin systems.

  • 조경설계의 도구로서 컴퓨터 드로잉 기술은 핸드드로잉이 제공할 수 없었던 많은 이점을 제공하여 주며, 그 중요성은 현 미국 조경설계 실무 및 교육에서 점점 커 가고 있는 실정이다. 하지만 조경교육 측면에서 핸드드로잉과 컴퓨터 드로잉을 어떻게 균형을 맞추어야 하는지 쉽지 않은 논쟁거리를 제공한다. 이러한 미국 조경교육계의 고민은 미국에 국한된 문제가 아니라 한국 조경교육에서도 진지하게 고려되어야 되는 문제로 보인다. 본 연구는 미국 달라스시와 포트워쓰시를 포함한 미 텍사스주 북부에 위치한 설계사무소에 근무하는 조경기술사를 취득한 조경설계가들을 대상으로 실시한 설문을 통하여 조경실무에 있어서 핸드드로잉과 컴퓨터 드로잉의 역할에 대하여 조사하였다. 달라스시와 포트워쓰시는 Carter & Burgess, HOK, Mesa Design Group, SMR, SWA Group, TBG Partners등 미국의 대표적인 조경설계사무소 대부분이 본사 혹은 지역사무소를 두고 있는 미 남부의 대표적인 금융, 건(축)설 분야의 대표적인 쌍둥이 도시로 알려져 있다. 설문조사 결과, 몇몇 개인 특성들이 일상적인 조경설계에 있어서 핸드드로잉과 컴퓨터 드로잉의 중요성에 대한 인지와 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 컴퓨터 드로잉 기술이 일상적인 조경설계 과정에서 빈번하게 사용되고 있음에도 불구하고, 핸드드로잉만이 제공할 수 있는 고유 역할이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 조경디자인 아이디어를 발전시키는 과정에 핸드드로잉 기법이 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on Metaverse Construction Based on 3D Spatial Information of Convergence Sensors using Unreal Engine 5 (언리얼 엔진 5를 활용한 융복합센서의 3D 공간정보기반 메타버스 구축 연구)

  • Recently, the demand and development for non-face-to-face services are rapidly progressing due to the pandemic caused by the COVID-19, and attention is focused on the metaverse at the center. Entering the era of the 4th industrial revolution, Metaverse, which means a world beyond virtual and reality, combines various sensing technologies and 3D reconstruction technologies to provide various information and services to users easily and quickly. In particular, due to the miniaturization and economic increase of convergence sensors such as unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) capable of high-resolution imaging and high-precision LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging) sensors, research on digital-Twin is actively underway to create and simulate real-life twins. In addition, Game engines in the field of computer graphics are developing into metaverse engines by expanding strong 3D graphics reconstuction and simulation based on dynamic operations. This study constructed a mirror-world type metaverse that reflects real-world coordinate-based reality using Unreal Engine 5, a recently announced metaverse engine, with accurate 3D spatial information data of convergence sensors based on unmanned aerial system(UAS) and LiDAR. and then, spatial information contents and simulations for users were produced based on various public data to verify the accuracy of reconstruction, and through this, it was possible to confirm the construction of a more realistic and highly utilizable metaverse. In addition, when constructing a metaverse that users can intuitively and easily access through the unreal engine, various contents utilization and effectiveness could be confirmed through coordinate-based 3D spatial information with high reproducibility.
