A Study on the Accounting Conservatism of Win-Win Growth Corporate (동반성장 기업의 회계보수주의 수준 연구)

  • The objective of our study is to examine the Earnings Quality of Win-Win Growth Corporate. The level of Win-Win Growth Corporate is measured by Win-Win Index of korea commission for corporate partnership. Earnings Quality is proxied by Accounting Conservatism that is measured by the method of Givoly and Hayn(2000). The samples of this study selected from listed corporate, consist of 3,608 observations can be collected from 2011 to 2017 at TS-2000. The result of this study can be summerized in the following. the Win-Win Growth has a significant positive relevance on Accounting Conservatism is the proxy of internal Earnings Quality. This means that Win-Win Growth corporate has a higher the Earnings Quality relatively. These results were supported by additional analysis that used the sample that is made up the Win-Win Growth Corporate completely. According to our study, we can expect that the Earnings Quality of Win-Win Growth corporate is true as steel. But this study have some limitation. Especially we can't explain the reason why the Win-Win Growth has a significant positive relevance on Earnings Quality. And, despite additional analysis, there are the limitation of controlling for endogeneity. We hope that our paper can help investor making a economic decision on investment and officials making a effective policy on the Win-Win Growth.

An Exploratory Study on Level and Influencing Factors of Academic Passion for Pre-service Elementary Teachers' Science PCK (초등 예비교사의 과학 PCK에 대한 학업 열정 수준과 영향 요인 탐색)

  • This study investigated the level of academic passion for pre-service elementary teachers' science pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) and the factors that influence the passion. To this end, 182 first to fourth grade students in advanced non-science majors who were taking science-related courses in the second semester were selected, and two tests were then administered to evaluate their academic passions for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge. Individual in-depth interviews were also conducted with some of the participants. It was found that the factors such as "importance" and "harmonious passion" for learning science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were found at a high level. On the other hand, the factors such as "like" and "investment of time and energy" were slightly higher than normal, and the factor such as "obsessive passion" was slightly lower than normal. The differences in academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge were greater according to the high school track than the grade. The pre-service elementary teachers selected more often the factors such as "individual interests", "high school track", "contents of science-related courses at the university of education", "characteristics of professor in charge of science-related courses at the university of education", and "experience in teaching practicum" as the factors that influenced their academic passion for science subject matter knowledge and science pedagogical knowledge. However, there was a slight difference in the selection ratio depending on the high school track.

Exploring How Middle-School Mathematics Textbooks on Functions Provide Students an Opportunity-To-Learn (중학교 수학교과서가 학생에게 제공하는 함수 학습기회 탐색)

  • This study aims to explore how Korean middle-school mathematics textbooks on functions provide students an opportunity-to-learn [OTL]. For this purpose, we investigate 3 textbooks in terms of mathematics content and practice, the level of cognitive demands of mathematical tasks, types of student responses, types of context-based tasks, and connections among the tasks. The findings from the data analysis suggest as follows: a) an opportunity-to-learn to connect procedures to functional concepts and new ideas of functions to the existing one is very limited; b) the textbooks seem to provide students an OTL to understand functions as definitions, rules and conventions and to experience repeatedly procedural executions through worked examples and mathematics tasks; c) students may not experience to explain their own ideas/thinking by using mathematical sentence or justify their own cognitive processes; and d) students can be exposed to get a sense of mathematics as a set of fragmented and isolated facts or procedures, rather than to encourage to expand and deepen their understanding of functions.

What Makes Korea-Israel Science Teachers Inservice Program for Fostering Learners' Creativity Effective? (창의성 계발 과학교육을 위한 한국 - 이스라엘 과학교사 연수프로그램의 효율성)

  • The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of Korea-Israel science teachers inservice program. Thirty science teachers who participated in the inservice program responded to pre- and post tests of the survey instrument on (a) their perceptions to creativity fostering science education and understandings of current education status and reform movement, (b) degrees of changes about understanding of creativity and implementing teaching methods for fostering creativity before and after the program, and (c) their evaluative opinions on the program. Suggestions for improving the program were proposed as follows: First, a pre-service workshop for the program should be provided in order to clearly realize the essential purpose of the program through increase of participating teachers' understanding of facing conditions of education, school policy, reform movement toward science education fostering creativity. Second, for the content of the program, creativity is more emphasized. Appropriate content and sufficient time arrangement for creativity will develop teachers' conceptual understanding of creativity in depth. Third, classroom observation of exemplary science teaching for fostering creativity should be sufficiently arranged. Fourth, amount of content and time allotment to Israel culture, religion, and education system should be reduced.

  • This study examines the effect of culinary employees' emotional labor on their emotional dissonance and turnover intentions and bow the emotional labor and emotional dissonance affect their turnover intentions and burnout to provide useful information and suggestions for the foodservice and hotel culinary training and on-site. The results are summarized as follows. First, as the emotional labor of workers such as representation of the act, conduct in-depth and emotional departure grew higher, they showed the higher perception of emotional dissonance. However, their spontaneous activities tended to decrease their emotional dissonance. Second, as the result of verifying the relationship between emotional dissonance and burnout, the higher emotional dissonance, the deeper burnout. Finally, the culinary workers' emotional dissonance influenced their turnover intention.

  • Recently a reading education system has been developed to manage the accumulated reading activities and past records of individuals under the web environment using computers. And the reading education system, where we can have comprehensive reading education, has been developed and been applied to schools. The reading records in the reading education system can contribute to the improvement of reading activities and reading comprehension, the extension of thinking ability, and the cultivation of insight and character of the readers. The system will provide basic data for reading education for the teachers. The reading education system will accumulate the reading records of individuals. This system is not restricted by time and space. Also the system can support the reading education of children and students effectively. The menu of the reading education system is composed of a test of reading level, reading materials, activities after reading, reading certification, reading record management and instruction of teachers.

The Study on Elementary Preservice Teachers' Content Knowledge in Arithmetic and Algebra Word Problems Solving Strategy (산술과 대수 영역의 문장제 문제해결 전략에 대한 초등 예비교사의 내용지식 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze that The arithmetic and algebraic word problem solving skill, strategy preference, and assessment ability of elementary preservice teachers is investigated using a statistical methodology. The research findings are as follows. First, elementary preservice teachers demonstrated logical and delicate problem solving behaviors in arithmetic and algebraic word problem solving. And elementary preservice teachers prefer to create a formula and table strategy in problem solving of the arithmetic question. Second, there was meaningful difference in the math and english elementary preservice teachers' appreciations with significant level of 0.05. And there was not meaningful difference in the 1 and 4 grade elementary preservice teachers' appreciations with significant level of ${\alpha}=0.05$. Results of the study suggest that teachers education course need to improve elementary preservice teachers' word problem solving skill, strategy preference, and assessment ability in the arithmetic and algebraic.

Understanding the Border Region of Gyeonggi Province - The Formation and Change of Alienation - (경기북부 접경지역의 이해 - 소외성의 형성과 변화 -)

  • This study is primarily to investigate the alienation process that constitutes the regional identity of the border region in Kyunggi Province. It both discusses the concept of social exclusion and its application for a theoretical framework and examines patterns and formation of the alienation process based on the field survey. The empirical results show that the alienation process which defines the border region as a geography of place poverty and exclusion has been deepened through economic, social, cultural and spatial processes. In terms of material well-being and social participation, especially, the alienation is shown to form in every aspect of people's lives in the border region. The alienation gives rise to the cultural stigmatization which first builds up negative images of the region and then aggravates region's development potential as well as its future prospect. In addition, the alienation in the context of the border region turns out to be unique compared to major characteristics of other backward regions as well as quite spatially differentiated across the border region in Kyunggi Province.

Paradigm Shift of Digital Divide and Intellectual Digital Divide (정보격차의 패러다임 전환과 지적 정보격차)

  • Due to the settlement of the ICT environment and the widespread dissemination of Net media, the quantitative digital divide based on access to information has evolved into the formation of a qualitative digital divide. In the current information environment where enormous amounts of information exist on the Internet, there is a deeper intellectual digital divide that is different from the existing quantitative and qualitative digital divide. This study identified the changes in digital divide resulted from the evolution of information environment and empirically verified the formation of the intellectual digital divide. It also demonstrated that the intellectual digital divide is not distinct from the existing quantitative and qualitative digital divide, but from differences in the intellectual capacity of the information based on the factors of the existing digital divide. In particular, it was confirmed that the educational and economic levels, which have been the key factors of the traditional digital divide, still form the quantitative and qualitative digital divide, and also act as the key factors in the formation of the intellectual digital divide.
