If environmental aesthetics contains the whole area of grand beauty of nature and the meaning of the urban landscape, the urban landscape is defined 'fine view of urban, or beautiful sight' therefore, we must look for the wary to introduce and solve the aesthetic problem with a new paradym of the urban landscape. Such environmental aesthetics as to seek a new planning for the urban landscape can provide a new meaning for urban environment design by extracting design elements of street furniture resulted form aesthetic evaluation in context of formation aesthetics to review the aesthetic value and substance, and explain aesthetic experience, and explain aesthetic experience of urban the landscape.

In this report, a case is presented in which resected mandible was reconstructed immediately with vascularized bone graft and adjunctive implantation of osseointegrated dental implants. The primary was central odontogenic myxoma of mandible extending from symphysis to the left condylar neck. The hemimandibulectomy defect was restored with free fibular flap. Three months after 1st surgery, the transplant received five $IMZ^{(R)}$ implants. The masticatory function was restored with the implant borne denture. The result including facial appearance was very satisfactory.

Digital technology is gradually expanding its field and has a great influence on various fields of dentistry. Recently in digital dentistry, the importance of superimposing various 3-dimensional (3D) image data is emerging, in order to utilize gathered data effectively for diagnosis and prosthesis fabrication. Integrating data from facial scans, intraoral scans, and mandibular movement recordings can create a virtual patient. A virtual patient is formed by integrating digital 3D diagnostic data such as intraoral and extraoral soft tissues, residual dentition, and dynamic occlusion, and the results of prosthetic treatment can be evaluated virtually. The patients in this case report were a 37-year-old female whose chief complaint is that the appearance of the existing prosthesis was distorted and a 55-year-old female patient whose anterior prosthesis needed to be refabricated after the endodontic treatment. 3D facial scans were obtained from each patient, and the patient's mandibular movements were recorded using ARCUS Digma 2 (KaVo Dental GmbH, Biberach an der Riss, Germany). The collected data were integrated on computer-aided design (CAD) software (Exocad dental CAD; exocad GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany) and transferred to a virtual articulator to create a digital virtual patient. The temporary fixed prostheses were designed, restored, and evaluated, and it was reflected into the final restorations. With the aid of the virtual dental patient, accuracy and predictability could be increased throughout treatment, simplifying the occlusal adjustment and clinical evaluation with improved esthetic outcomes.

Topical fluoride application for children is a widely performed procedure in the field of Pediatric Dentistry for its dental caries prevention effects However, it is recently recognized as having some unwanted effects on several esthetic restorative materials, the author immersed glass ionomer cement, compomer and composite resin specimens in APF gel and measured the surface roughness and also, examined the specimens under the scanning eletron microscope. The followings are the results: 1. In the specimens of glass ionomer cement and compomer, APF gel 4 minute immersion group and pH cycling group show statistically significant increased surface roughness than artificial saliva immersion group (p<0.01). 2. There was no statistically significant surface roughness for composite resin in all group (p>0.05). 3. When the specimens were examined under scanning electron microscope, the surface change were in the order of glass ionomer cement, compomer, composite resin and also in the order of pH cycling group, APF gel 4 minutes immersion group, artificial saliva immersion group.

Adult patients who need implant and prosthodontic treatment often need treatment to improve the existing occlusion through orthodontic treatment for long-term stable treatment results. However, due to non-aesthetic and uncomfortable orthodontic treatment with orthodontic brackets and wires, many adult patients give up treatment even though they know the need for it. Recently, as digital dentistry has affected all areas of dentistry, clear aligner orthodontic systems have begun to be widely used, and their use is increasing in adults and old-aged people due to the esthetic advantage and convenient oral care. SERAFIN clear aligner system developed in Korea has been developed with the aim of implementing a functional occlusion harmony and is used not only for partial orthodontic treatment but also comprehensive orthodontic treatment. This patient presentation is shown the treatment using SERAFIN clear aligner system for the treatment of patient with TMD, severe extrusion of maxillary second molars, and extracted teeth.

이 연구는 완전통합교육을 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 전자멘토링 시스템을 구축 및 사용성을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 시스템 설계를 위하여 현재 운영되고 있는 국내 외 시스템과 연구들을 분석한 후, 완전통합교육 지원에 적절한 전자멘토링 수행모형을 도출했다. 특히, 설계와 구현에 있어서는 온라인의 수평적 멘토링 구현과 다양한 멘토링 형태의 지원, 상호보완적 관계형성, 그리고 활동에 대한 피드백 제공 등에 역점을 두고 시스템을 구축했다. 개발된 전자멘토링 시스템의 사용성 평가를 위해 운영자 2명, 멘토 5명, 멘티 5명을 선정한 후, '멘토링 지원(인지적 지원, 정서적 지원, 적용가능성)'과 '기술 지원(편의성, 정확성, 심미성)' 등 2가지 영역, 총 10개의 문항을 통해 심층면담을 실시했다. 통합학급 담당교사와 특수학급 담당교사의 사용성 평가 결과, 완전통합교육 지원을 위해 개발된 전자멘토링 시스템은 모든 영역에 걸쳐 상당히 효과적인 것으로 판단할 수 있었다. 향후에는 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 현장에서 장기간 지속적인 적용을 통해 개발된 전자멘토링 시스템의 실질적 효과성을 검증해 보는 연구가 요청된다.

투명 박막 태양전지는 건물과 일체화 된 building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) 시스템에 적용되어 건물의 외장재로서 외관의 심미적 가치를 높일 수 있다. 현재 BIPV 모듈은 glass 타입의 형태가 시장을 주도할 것으로 예상되며[1], 건물의 외부 미관을 고려하여 투명 박막 태양전지에 색을 구현하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 투명 박막 태양전지에 적용하기 위한 목적으로 본 연구에서는 스핀코팅을 이용하여 표면 플라즈몬 효과가 큰 Cu 나노입자를 Si 웨이퍼와 유리기판 위에 각각 분포 시킨 후, 광학적 특성을 분석하였다. 스핀코팅의 속도(rpm)를 다양하게 변화 시킨 후 나노 입자의 분포를 관찰하였으며, 속도가 증가할수록 나노입자의 수는 감소함을 확인하였다. 또한 속도가 증가할수록 입자 사이의 거리는 멀어졌으며, 최저 속도 100 rpm에 비해 4000 rpm에서 스핀코팅 한 입자들은 응집이 상대적으로 되지 않았음을 관찰하였다. 속도가 증가할수록 입자가 기판 위에 적게 잔재하기 때문에 반사율과 투과율이 가시광선 영역에서 증가하였으며, 유리 기판에 구현한 색깔이 점차 옅어짐을 관찰하였다. 이러한 결과로부터 스핀코팅의 속도를 변화시킴으로써 나노입자의 분포 양상과 이에 따른 색상의 변화를 유발 할 수 있다는 사실을 확인하였다.

복합 레진을 이용한 심미 수복 시 접하게되는 어려움 중의 하나는 한정된 색상과 일정한 광학적 특성을 가진 복합 레진을 이용하여 각각 서로 다른 광학적 특성을 보이는 다양한 치아들의 색조를 재현하는 것이다. Shade matching을 시행하는 첫 과정부터 술자의 시각적 판단에 의존해야하고 판단에 사용하는 shade guide들도 이미 제공되고 있는 한정된 색상만 비색이 가능하기 때문에 shade guide에 존재하지 않은 색은 술자의 경험과 추측에 의해 결정되어 진다. 최근 컴퓨터나 측색기를 치과 영역에 도입하여 치아의 색을 측정하고자하는 시도가 계속되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 기기를 이용한 측색의 결과도 다양한 인자들의 영향을 받게되며, 비록 인간의 눈을 통해 이루어지는 비색보다는 일정한 결과를 나타낸다 하더라도 현재 치과계에서 사용하는 색상 표현 방법으로는 이렇게 기기를 이용해 측정된 결과값을 활용할 수 없게되는 문제점을 지닌다.(중략)

The stability and retention of mandibular complete denture have been a continuing problem for dentists and patients. Magnets have been investigated or used in clinical dentistry as retentive aids. The obvious advantages are that these attachments do not need spacial equipments or require frequent adjustment of replacement with use, and they likely transmit less lateral forces to the abutment. This paper is about the utilization of public interaction design in terms of design convergence study. As there are different perspectives about public character in various academic fields, it is not simple to define the concept of it. In Korea, since 1960's, the public art which considered only about places has received more and more people's attention. But, there still remain disputes over the residents' participation and communication problems. It is more important to debate mainly on the value judgments of the public design considering artistic experience, ease, functionality, and utility in the interaction rather than a focus on user's experience. On the basis of this, it is suggested bench design which includes flower motif to access and utilize freely to necessary information and the bench design will be helpful to provoke interaction and design convergence in the era of new media technology.
