Since the end of the 1990s, zirconia, which has been applied to dental prostheses, has been used in the form of coping or framework. The prostheses made in this way have been successfully used in the anterior teeth because they have no metal components as a structure. But in the posterior teeth, its use was limited due to the fracture or chipping of the veneering porcelain during the function. Later, as a solution to this shortcoming, a monolithic zirconia restoration was proposed in which a strong coping material was used in the form of a complete prosthesis. But, this resulted in some unesthetic results due to the characteristics of zirconia, which has excellent resistance to strong forces but is very white and opaque. However, now, due to technological advances in increasing the translucency of zirconia, it is possible to produce strong and esthetic zirconia restorations not only in the posterior region but also in the anterior region. In this article, the structural characteristics of various types of zirconia materials that have been developed so far, were discussed, and where the zirconia products actually in use belong to was explained.

The word 'aesthetic', one of three functions of the teeth - mastication, pronunciation, and aesthetic - does not simply mean beauty. Aesthetic missing harmony cannot be called aesthetic. It is true aesthetic when the harmony with surrounding teeth and environment such as lips, midline, and facial form is achieved. In order to produce a harmonious prosthesis, sufficient information must be passed on to a technician, and also the technician should request necessary information to the dental office. Good food cannot be made without fresh ingredients. Although fresh ingredients are supplied, delicious food is also not possible without a chef's cooking skills. The first-class dish is made only under the circumstances that a skilled chef can do his best with fresh ingredients. In this study, the teamwork to be shared between dental practitioners and technicians for harmonious aesthetic prosthesis is discussed.

전치부사이의 비정상적 공간이 생기는 원인은 순측소대, 악궁과 치아의 크기 부조화, 악습관, 과잉치, 치주염으로 인한 병적치아이동 등 다양하다. 이러한 일차적인 원인요소들을 먼저 제거한 후 남게 되는 공간을 해결하기 위해서 교정치료 또는 여러가지 보철수복방법을 고려해 볼 수 있다. 보철적으로 치료할 경우, laminate를 이용하여 심미적인 전치부를 만드는 술식은 보존적인 면에서나 심미적인 면에서 유리한 점이 있어 많이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 인접면사이에 비교적 큰 공간이 존재하며, 감소된 치주조직으로 인하여 치간유두의 소실이 많고 직경이 작은 치경부가 노출되었을 경우에는 laminate를 이용하여 공간을 수복하기가 쉽지 않기 때문에, 교정적으로 치아를 이동시킴으로서 보다 심미적인 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 본 증례는 중등도의 치주질환으로 인하여 치주조직이 감소된 상악중절치에서 정중이개의 양이 비교적 크고 치간유두의 소실 및 직경이 작은 치경부가 노출된 환자에서 laminate를 이용하여 심미적인 공간폐쇄를 도모하였다.

In the oral cavity, the teeth undergo wear and corrosion throughout their lives. Progressive and constant tooth wear is a natural phenomenon of aging, but wear and corrosion due to specific factors are pathological factors. It can cause pathological damage of the occlusal surface, aesthetic problems, dimensional loss and jaw joint disorders. This case is a 26-year-old female patient with general tooth abrasion and erosion on the entire dentition. Diagnostic wax-up was fabricated based on the information including digital facial analysis, physiological stabilization, and evaluation of anterior crown length. Through the digital analysis, the necessary guides for crown lengthening were prepared and the mastication function and esthetics were evaluated by using temporary crowns. Definitive prosthesis was fabricated with the zirconia restorations. The results were satisfactory when they were observed 3 months of follow-up.

There are frequent cases of retreatment due to lack of communication between dentists and dental technicians during general prosthetic treatment. The success of large-scale therapy begins with small treatments. This report reminds you of the importance of communication through a simple example. To reproduce better colors and shapes, the dentist must provide specific and accurate information and feedback to the dental technician, and the dental technician must have the skills to accurately analyze and express it. In this process, we need to create an environment where we can exchange mutual opinion and produce better prostheses.

Generally, the esthetics is thought to mean health. On the assumption that dental esthetics must also be in harmony with general health, dental restorations have to be made in order for patients to appear to be healthy and vivacious in their mouth and result in good appearances. Therefore, I wish that patients live their life without a sense of disharmony in esthetic and biological aspect. This article is to explain some cases that manifest improvement of quality in dental treatment by means of team approach.

Orthodontic treatment is obviously the first choice to get aligned teeth cause of conservative treatment. But it is impossible to get highly esthetic result only orthodontic treatment in case of peg lateralis, discrepancy tooth size, discolored teeth or fractured teeth. As all treatment does, especially in esthetic treatment it is always required interdisciplinary diagnosis and treatment plan; orthodontics, periodontology, prothetics, implant therapy. As also, the treatment should be maintained long-term treatment with stable and harmonious state by esthetic satisfaction and functional occlusion those who needs various dental care as interdisciplinary treatment. This case is the laminate treatment with the orthodontic treatment on 37 ages/ Female patient who has cross bite at anteriors and premolar area and abrasion on centralis at right maxilla. By orthodontic treatment aligned teeth positions, it makes functional occlusion. As laminate treatment with minimum teeth preparation is able to release anterior esthetics. Follow up check for 2 years has been performed since the final prosthetics delivery to the patient. No sign of relapse, fracture of laminate were detected.

Improving implant esthetics is very difficult, especially in cases where unaesthetic problems are related to implants in the maxillary anterior dentition. A 69-year old male patient was referred by a prosthodontist for periodic pus discharge and an unaesthetic implant prosthesis (maxillary right lateral incisor). The implant was placed too deeply and showed soft tissue volume deficiency and a long clinical crown. After a clinical and radiographic examination, implant submergence and alveolar ridge augmentation were performed to enhance the aesthetics instead of an explantation. The treatment plan was as follows: extraction the adjacent teeth with tooth mobility, secondary caries, and poor prognosis; placement an additional dental implant with hard and soft tissue grafting; fabrication a fixed bridge using implant abutments. A fixed esthetic prosthesis using implants was fabricated, and the patient was satisfied with the prosthesis. A ridge augmentation with implant submergence may be an alternative for solving the problems of unaesthetic implant restorations in the esthetic zone.
