A Change of Self-Esteem and Emotion of Adults with Developmental Disabilities through Positive Psychology Programs Using Coffee Activities (커피 매개 긍정심리프로그램을 통한 발달장애성인의 자존감과 정서 변화)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of positive psychology programs using coffee activities on emotion changes and self-esteem improvements of adults with developmental disabilities. Method: This program was conducted for five adults with development disabilities who were attending non-degree courses by the National University of Busan City. To collect data, Self-Esteem scale to measure participants' self-esteem level and MAACL(Multiple Affect Adjective Check List) to identify emotion-changes were used as pre-and post-tests. Wilcoxon signed tests were used to determine whether there was a significant differences between the pre-and-post tests mean score to analyze the data. In order to compensate for the limitations of the examination design before and after a single group, the contents related to the change in the emotion and self-esteem of participants were observed and analyzed at each session. Result: First, the self-esteem of people with developmental disabilities was improved. Second, the positivity among people with developmental disabilities who participated in the positive psychology program was increased and negativity decreased. Third, the adults with developmental disabilities showed negative emotions in the early stages of their activities, but they discovered their strengths and felt a sense of achievement during their various experiences of positive emotions over and over again. Conclusion: These results suggest that a positive psychology program is an effective program that improves self-esteem and affects emotion changes in the adults with developmental disabilities.

The effect of psychomotor by the emotional behavior disorder(ADHD) children on the improvement of Self-esteem, Depression or Hyperactivity in terms of convergence (심리운동프로그램의 참여가 융합적 차원에서 정서·행동장애아동의 자아존중감과 우울감 및 과잉행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of psychomotor by the emotional behavior disorder children(ADHD) on the improvement of Self-esteem, Depression or Hyperactivity. From the results, there was no significant difference of the main effect between groups about the improvement of Self-esteem, Depression but that of Hyperactivity. About Self-esteem, Depression, Hyperactivity, there was significant difference of the main effect between prior and post and significant difference of the interaction effects between groups and periods. In conclusion, we can know psychomotor program have a positive effect on the improvement of Self-esteem, Depression or Hyperactivity for emotional behavior disorder children(ADHD). Considering that psychomotor, regarding convergence, may have a positive effect on the ADHD children's emotional development, not only motion development, we suggest the emotional behavior disorder children(ADHD) may have to continue to participate in the Psychomotor Activities.

Influences of Dietary Education Activity on Education Satisfaction and Self-Respect (식생활 교육활동이 교육만족도와 자아존중감에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigated dietary education and education satisfaction from the perspectives of academic ability improvement, psychological-emotional development, and self-respect. For this reason, empirical analysis was performed on the relationship between dietary education activity, education satisfaction, and self-respect. The purpose of this study is to appreciate the importance of dietary education, to focus the attention of researchers on dietary education and to provide fundamental materials. The results drawn from analysis are as follows. Firstly, it was discovered that the degree of dietary education has positive relationships with both academic ability improvement, and psychological/emotional development. Secondly, self-respect has positive relationships with academic ability improvement, and psychological/emotional development in terms of education satisfaction. Thirdly, after analyzing the influences of dietary education activity on self-respect, it was indicated that self-respect has a positive relationship with dietary education activity. Therefore, continuous and consistent dietary education needs to be performed at home, as well as at school, at the national level to establish appropriate dietary knowledge to teenagers, rather than simply delivering knowledge. It is also suggested that the education that can form self-respect be required.

Relationship of Social Skills & Social Support from Family and Friends to Adjustment Between Children and Adolescents (아동과 청소년의 사회적 기술과 가족 $[\cdor}$ 친구의 지원 및 적응과의 관계)

  • This study focused on the relationship of social skills and social support from family and friends to adjustment between children and adolescents. Subjects were enrolled in the fifth, sixth, 1st, & 2nd grades of elementary and junior high schools. The instruments were Teenage Inventory of Social Skills, Perceived Social Support from Family & Friends, Child Depression Inventory, and Antisocial Behavior Scale. Results indicated that there were positive relations between social skills and social support from family and friends. The more social support from family children and adolescents had, the less depression and antisocial behavior they reported. For depression, children and adolescents showed a significant sex difference. In the case of antisocial behavior, only adolescents revealed a significant sex difference. Depression was explained by social support from family most for both children and adolescents. Antisocial behavior was explained by social skills most especially for children. The results discussed in the context of the effects of social skills and social support on emotional and behavioral adjustments.

The Relationship between Mother′Psychological Life Position and Children′s Social-Emotional Development (어머니의 심리극 자세와 유아및 사회정시 발달과의 관계)

  • This study investigated the relationship between mothers'psychological life position and children's social-emotional development. Subject consisted of 303 children and their mothers enrolled in preschool at Seoul. A sample of mothers completed the questionnaire and teachers rated the social-emotional development instrument. The results showed that children's social-emotional development differed according to their gender and age. And there were differences between mothers'psychological life position as a function of educational level and employment status. Mothers'psychological life position was related to their children's social-emotional development.

  • 대부분의 발달장애를 돌보는 어머니의 양육경험 속에는 스트레스로 인한 부정적 정서 및 우울증을 포함하지만, 어떤 어머니들은 장애자녀로 인해 가족 및 사회적 친화력을 높이고 긍정적인 정서경험을 통해 자신 및 가족의 삶의 질을 향상시켜 나간다. 본 연구는 발달장애를 돌보는 중년기 어머니들의 양육경험과 우울증의 상관관계에 있어 어머니의 자기자비와 중년기의 신체 및 심리적 특성에 대한 자기이해가 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대해 탐색하고자 한다. 연구수행에 필요한 자료 수집을 서울, 경기를 포함한 전국에 사는 발달장애 중년기 어머니 700명을 대상으로 하며, 자료는 SPSS PC+ Ver 28을 활용하여 빈도분석과 주요 변수에 대한 기술통계를 실시하고, 변인 간 상관관계, 회귀분석을 실행한다. 본 연구의 의의는 발달장애인 자녀를 돌보는 어머니의 양육 스트레스를 줄이고 건강한 가족회복을 위해 어머니의 자존감을 향상시킬 수 있는 자기자비의 역할과 중년기에 대한 자기이해를 강화하도록 도울 수 있는 장애인 가족지원 정책 및 사회 서비스 개발에 기여하고자 한다.

  • Leo Kanner (1943)의 자폐증에 관한 획기적 논문발표 50주년을 맞아, 자폐증의 개념변천, 분류, 의학, 원인설 및 자폐증의 본질을 문헌고찰을 통해 살펴 보았다. 초기에 자폐증을 정신병의 아형으로 보다가 1980년 (DMS-III)을 기점으로 전반적 발달장애로의 개념 변천이 일어났다 원인설도, 초기의 심리${\cdot}$환경설은 지지 받지 못하고 1960년대에는 신경${\cdot}$생물학적 이상이 자폐병리의 기저를 이룸이 분명해 졌고 1970년대에는 지각과 운동, 감각과 인지 통합의 결함, 심각한 언어, 인지의 장해가 일차적인 결함으로 생각 되었다 최근 1980년 후반기 부터 상징적${\cdot}$표상적 인지의 결함, 타인의 감정과 생각의 이해 결함, 사회적${\cdot}$정감적 표현의 결함등 사회${\cdot}$정서발달의 이상이 자폐의 근본적 결함이라는 비교 관찰 연구가 많이 보고되어, 자폐증의 근본적이고 일차적인 결함이 정감적 접촉의 선천적 장애라는 Kanner의 놀라운 임상적 통찰을 증명해 주고 있다. 저자는 이상의 광범위한 문헌 고찰을 통해 자폐장애를 일차성 애착장애로 개념화하고 앞으로 치료, 교육의 방향도 일차적으로 사회${\cdot}$정서발달에 촛점을 두어야 하며, 특히 어머니와의 애착증진 치료가 필요함을 제안하고 있다.

  • 본 연구는 발달적 위기에 놓여있는 중년여성의 피로도와 스트레스 저항력 그리고 정서와의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 뇌신경 생리학적 지표인 뇌파 측정을 이용하여 분석해 보고자 하였다. 2005년 3월부터 2009년 6월까지 한국정신과학연구소에 뇌파 측정을 의뢰한 우리나라 중년여성 4403명(35세~65세)을 기준으로 선정된 뇌기능 지수(긴장도, 항스트레스지수, 정서지수)를 시계열 선형분석과 상관분석으로 한 결과 중년여성의 피로도, 스트레스 저항력 그리고 정서에는 밀접한 관계가 있었다. 그러므로 사회적으로나 가정적으로 성숙하고 책임감 있는 중년여성의 역할이 필요한 현대사회에서, 중년기의 심리적 생리적 문제에 적극적으로 대처하는 것이 개인생활은 물론 가족의 원만한 기능과 안녕을 유지, 증진하는데 반드시 필요하다.

Developmental Trajectory of Mobile Phone Dependency among Youth and its Psychological/Emotional Predictors (아동·청소년기 휴대폰 의존의 발달궤적과심리·정서적 예측요인)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate the developmental trajectories of youth's mobile phone dependency, focusing on the psychological/emotional predictors using latent growth modeling(LGM). The data was collected from the 3th wave to the 6th wave(2012-2015) among panel survey for the 4th grade of elementary schools involving 2,219 students participated in Korean Children Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS) administered by National Youth Policy Institute. The major findings are as follows. First, youth's mobile phone dependency has increased as they got older. On the basis of significance in the variance of intercept and slope for mobile phone dependency, there would be sufficient inter-individual differences in mobile phone dependency among youth. Second, the statistically-significant protective factors are life satisfaction, self-control, academic attitude, sense of community, and achievement motivation. The statistically-significant risk factors are depression, aggression, and social withdrawal. Based on the results, the implications for youth welfare practices were discussed.

The Influence on College Life Adjustment of Separation Individuation and Family Cohesion (분리 개별화와 가족 응집력이 대학 생활 적응에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구는 대학생들의 부모로부터의 심리적 분리개별화와 가족응집력이 그들의 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향을 조사하여, 대학생활 적응에 영향을 주는것이 부모로부터의 독립인지 가족의 친밀감과 지지인지 알아보고, 두 요인이 모두 영향을 준다면 각각 대학생활의 어떤 영역에 영향을 주는지 알아보고자 하였다. 중다회귀분석을 사용하여, 다음과 같은 연구결과 를 얻었다. 첫째, 부모로부터의 심리적 독립에서 갈등적 독립이 높을수록, 태도적 독립이 낮을수록 학업문제의 적응은 높았다. 갈등적 독립이 높을수록 심리적 문제와 진로, 취업문제의 적응은 낮았다. 태도적 독립과 기능적 독립이 높을수록 교수와의 관계에 있어서 적응은 낮게 나타났다. 기능적 독립이 발달한 학생은 교우와의 관계에서 높은 적응을 나타났다. 정서적 독립이 높은 학생은 전반적인 적응이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 가족응집력은 대학생활에서 진로, 취업문제와 교유관계에 있어서 적응을 설명하고 있다. 그러나 남학생에게 가족응집력은 심리적 문제의 적응에 부적인 영향을 나타내며, 여학생에게는 가족응집력이 높을수록 교우관계와 진로, 취업문제의 적응이 높게 나타났다.
