A Study on the Standardized Teaching-Learning Model for the Education of the Information Ethics in the Interdisciplinary Curricula (통합교과에서의 정보윤리 교육을 위한 표준화된 교수-학습모델 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of the study is to suggest a standardized teaching-learning model as a method for strengthening the practical effect of the information ethic education for the adolescent, which is practiced in schools as the inter-disciplinary way. A survey was put to teachers and their needs are analyzed. At the same time, in order to draw the practical teaching-learning model, the teaching examples were collected for contesting. Through this process, a bottom-up approach which tries to analyze the actual class examples and generalizes them, the teaching-learning model has been suggested. As a result, another survey was conducted for the investigation of the efficacy of the model between beneficiary group and comparison group. The results are as followings; the experiment group showed a higher index in regard with such items as Information Culture Index, Lesson Satisfaction Degree, and Practice Will than Comparison Group, and the differences are statistically significant.   • This study reviewed academic research related to the cyberethics in the field of humanities and social sciences. The most active and vibrant field of cyberethics is Pedagogy, followed by Law, communication, philosophy, social welfare science, sociology, business administration and psychology. In the field of cyberethics every major has different research themes. The research trend of cyberethics does not reflect distinctiveness of cyberspace, remaining in previous ethical philosophy. Further, it just establishes abstract morality. In the overall research of cyberethics lacks recognition of information human rights, therefore, it shows little tendency to living ethics. Moral recognition based on information human rights should be emphasized, and multi-disciplinary study is requested for future studies.

A Program Development and Application on Educating Sport Ethics (스포츠윤리교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용)

  • This study aims to develop an educational program of sport ethics which would enhance moral autonomy on the part of athletes. First, based on James Rest's Four Component Model of moral behavior, this study has analyzed prior studies and built educational contents. Then, it used dilemma discussions among peers for disequilibrium of cognitive structure. Last, this program has been tested and proven by college students who were thoroughly interviewed afterwards. After joining the program, the student-athletes showed a positive change of thought and action in relation to sport ethics. I hope that this study will contribute to enlarging the field of sport ethics education.

A Study on the Relationship of Educational Subjects in Dasan's 『Dàxuégōngyì』 - piety(孝), admiration(弟), mercy(慈) - (다산(茶山) 『대학공의(大學公議)』에서 교육주체들의 관계 고찰 - 효(孝)·제(弟)·자(慈)를 중심으로 -)

  • This study examines the fundamental ethics of practice that Dasan Jung Yak-yong(1762-1836) argued at the book, "Dàxuégōngyì大學公議, The Public debate of Great Learning", by investigating the relationship between main agents of education. "Dàxuégōngyì", the book that Dasan wrote when he was 53 years old at his exiled place, Gangjin. As the title suggested, Dàxuégōngyì, it could be recognized as the impartial view based on the critical perspective to Zhūxǐ(朱憙)'s opinion. Zhuxi focused on the importance of "Great Learning 大學" as a study of the Great people and argued that "Great Learning" is the study for all the people should learn. On the other hand, Dasan claimed that "Tàixuézhīdào太學之道" in "Great Learning" is the study for the prince, not for the normal people. And he also interpreted "Dàxué 大學" as the school for teaching prince. In addition, "Great Learning" suggested the three practical principles; to illustrate illustrious virtue; to renovate the people; and to rest in the highest excellence. However, Dasan argued different way and emphasized three ethics of practice; filial piety(孝), admiration(弟), mercy(慈) and regarded as illustrious virtue of "Great Learning." He denied the three principle of "Great Learning" that Zhuxi reorganized and suggested including renovating the people(新民), and provided that close to the people(親民) is one of the main principles of "Great Learning." According to Dasan, if the king practices these three ethics of practice including filial piety, admiration, and mercy, so that the people will practice these ethics voluntarily. In other words, he indicated that the practice of three ethics is not only for the prince in the loyal family, but also for principles to educate the people in the nation. Thus, three ethics by Dasan including filial piety, admiration, and mercy could be recognized as the symbol of humanity. In other words, Dasan's three ethics in "Great Learning" can be recognized as the practical principles including educational issues and educational interactions. If these three ethics can be referred as the symbol of humanity as mentioned above, the implicit educational interactions are specifically constructed within the basic assumptions. Therefore, it is possible to clarify the specific ethics of practice by the indicating specific subjects and objects in the educational interactions between these three ethics of practice. Also, it helps more clear comprehension about the "Dàxuégōngyì大學公議, The Public debate of Great Learning", by Dasan.

  • 오늘날 시대는 컴퓨터 기술과 정보통신기술의 발달로 유비쿼터스 시대와 맞물려 다양한 곳에서 정보통신기술이 활용되고 있으나 그와 더불어 많은 문제점들이 발생하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 정보통신윤리교육의 필요성을 강조하고 그동안의 교육 현장에서 학생들에게 일방적으로 주입하고 전달하던 교수-학습 형식을 벗어나 학생들이 흥미를 갖고 접근할 수 있도록 정보통신윤리 관련 UCC를 학생들이 직접 제작하여 교수-학습에 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다. 이를 통해 학생들 스스로 능동적이고 자발적으로 학습에 임하여 정보화의 역기능에 적극적으로 대처할 수 있는 태도를 견지하고 올바른 정보통신윤리 의식의 실천의지를 다지며 보다 심화된 정보통신윤리 의식을 함양시킬 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on the Spread of Taoist Gwonseonseo in the 19th Century and the Ideological Nature of Jeoseungjeon (19세기 유교의 통속화와 「저승전」의 이념성 - 조선후기 권선서(勸善書)의 유행과 관련하여 -)

  • Recognizing that the ideological nature of Taoist Gwonseonseo whose publication was concentrated during the reign of King Gojong was connected to that of Jeoseungjeon, a Hangul manuscript novel in the 19th century, this study set out to examine the periodic significance of Taoist Gwonseonseo in the 19th century and check the ideological nature of Jeoseungjeon. Taoist Gwonseonseo puts an emphasis on Confucian ethics including loyalty and filial piety in a didactic aspect and shows that the practice of Confucian ethics brings good fortune, which was prominent in many private Taoist books that were huge hits in the latter part of Joseon, when Chinese Taoist Gwonseonseo was introduced in Joseon, translated and circulated in Korean, and spread widely among the public. Those works offer very specific cases of individuals doing good or evil deeds in this world and suffering the consequences in the next world. Jeoseungjeon presents the Buddhist experiences with the next world as the foundation with the next world depicted around the Great Jade Emperor, who emphasizes Confucian ethics, and the hierarchy of Taoist gods under the ultimate the Great Jade Emperor, thus clearly demonstrating the combination pattern of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism in the latter half of Joseon. The work describes the scenes of judgment and punishment in the next world according to the witness of the main character and thus gives specific ideas of daily goods, which is a feature found in the latter half of Joseon different from the previous pattern of next world experiences. It is Taoist Gwonseonseo widely spread among the people those days that connects the link.

An Essay on Establishing the Theory of Reverence-based Ethics Education : Focussed on 'Gyeong(敬)' in the Early Confucianism (외경윤리교육론 정립을 위한 시론 -원시유교의 '경(敬)'을 중심으로-)

  • This study purports to explore the possibility of establishing the theory of ethics education based on the concept 'Gyeong(敬)' in Early Confucianism. There was a negative viewpoint on Confucianism directly after the modernization of Korea. However, a positive trend for Confucianism has emerged in almost all sorts of studies even though the results of the studies in Moral education are not always successful. West moral education theories and traditional ethics education theories should be integrated dialectically so that traditional ethics education may be updated. Recently a reappraisal of traditional values has been undertaken as a replacement of liberal democracy values. Faced with the modern civilization's crisis and a decline in morals in Korea, reverence needs to be dealt with in ethics education. This study is primarily concerned with the nature-transcendental relation whose concrete concept is 'Gyeong(敬)' in Confucianism. And the study attempts to put forward the theory of reverence-centered ethics education. The contents of the study consists of the substance of 'Gyeong(敬)' in Early Confucianism, and practical principles and methods of reverence-based ethics education. Some tasks of moral education are also suggested for the scientific establishment of reverence-centered ethics education.

Educational contents and implementation procedures of the training system for research ethics (연구윤리를 위한 교육콘텐츠 및 교육시스템 구축방법)

  • Even after Hwang Woo Suk's research ethics scandal in Korean research fields, there are still research ethic problems that are present in the Korean society. In order to spread research ethics education around Korea, there needs to be sufficient amount of research ethics contents prepared, which then can be used to educate and put into action. Through the usages of the scope of research ethics, comparing and contrasting several examples from domestic illegal research acts and American research ethics education, and the Learning Activity Management Systems (LAMS), we would be able to develop a way to manage the research ethics education. Also, in order to fully use and apply the necessary contents and material for the research ethics education program in several universities, we would not only need to use the LAMS system to establish the training system, but also to spread the awareness of research ethics.
