Analysis of Axial Mis-alignment After Wearing of Toric Soft Contact Lenses (토릭소프트콘택트렌즈의 착용 후 축 정렬 상태의 변화 분석)

  • Purpose: To emphasize the necessity of post-fitting by follow-up test, the mis-alignment was analyzed after initial wearing of toric soft contact lenses (TSCL). Methods: After trial contact lenses were worn to 87 eyes with myopic astigmatism for 1 week, we observed the alignment of axis mark on trial contact lenses using slit lamp and corrected the rotated axis by method of LARS. After final fitting, rotation ratio, rotation degree and rotation position were analyzed compared to initial prescription divided to amount of cylinderical and spherical powers. Results: Rotation ratio of TSCL's axis was increased as increment of both cylinderical powers and (-)spherical powers. An average of rotation degree was $10^{\circ}{\sim}13^{\circ}$ which was not related to amount of their powers. Rotation position of TSCL's axis was more to temporal than to nasal. Conclusions: Because mis-alignment of axis after TSCL wearing induce the poor sight, adjustment of axial alignment as a result of follow-up must be performed.

AUTOMATED STREAK DETECTION FOR HIGH VELOCITY OBJECTS: TEST WITH YSTAR-NEOPAT IMAGES (고속이동천체 검출을 위한 궤적탐지 알고리즘 및 YSTAR-NEOPAT 영상 분석 결과)

  • We developed an algorithm to efficiently detect streaks in survey images and made a performance test with YSTAR-NEOPAT images obtained by the 0.5m telescope stationed in South Africa. Fast moving objects whose apparent speeds exceed 10 arcsec/min are the main target of our algorithm; these include artificial satellites, space debris, and very fast Near-Earth Objects. Our algorithm, based on the outline shape of elongated sources employs a step of image subtraction in order to reduce the confusion caused by dense distribution of faint stars. It takes less than a second to find and characterize streaks present in normal astronomical images of 2K format. Comparison with visual inspection proves the efficiency and completeness of our automated detection algorithm. When applied to about 7,000 time-series images from YSTAR telescope, nearly 700 incidents of streaks are detected. Fast moving objects are identified by the presence of matching streaks in adjoining frames. Nearly all of confirmed fast moving objects turn out to be artificial satellites or space debris. Majority of streaks are however meteors and cosmic ray hits, whose identity is often difficult to classify.

Postoperative Assessment of Residual Oefects Following Surgical Closure of Ventricular Septal Defects (심실중격결손의 개심술 후 잔류단락에 관한 임상적 고찰)

  • his study was undertaken to assess the residual interventricular shunt following surgical closure of the isolated ventricular septal defect. From January 1989 through December 1993, 211 patients underwent surgical closure of the isolated ventricular septal defect. All patients had 2D-Echocardlo-graphic study after operation to rule out residual ventricular septal defect. There was a 9.5% incidence of a definite residual shunt. The type of ventricular septal defect, closure method of the defect and cardiopulmonary bypass time showed no significant differences between two groups. The sue of ventricular septal defect (6.3 $\pm$ 3.7mm versus 10.6 $\pm$ 5.8mm : p : 0.0034), aortic cross-clamping time(32.6 $\pm$ 15.0 minutes versus 48.5 $\pm$ 20.0 minutes, p : 0.0003), pulmonary-to-systemic pressure ratio(0.31 $\pm$ 0.22 versus 0.51 $\pm$ 0.33, p=0.019) and mean pulmonary artery pressure(20.3 $\pm$ 11.9 mmHg versus 29.1 $\pm$ 16.2 mmHg, p : 0.009) were meaningfully different between two groups. There were 9 insta ces of spontaneous closure of the residual shunts at mean 21 months of following up (ranged 1 ~43 months). In conclusion, we suggest that the size of ventricular septal defect, aortic cross-clamping time and mean pulmonary artery pressure may play an important role in occurance of residual ventricular septal defect.

  • 본 논문에서는 출입국자 관리의 효율성과 체계적인 출입국 관리를 위하여 여권 코드를 자동으로 인식하고 위조 여권을 판별할 수 있는 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법을 제안한다. 여권 이미지는 기울어진 상태로 스캔되어 획득되어질 수도 있으므로 기울기 보정은 문자 분할 및 인식, 얼굴 인증에 있어 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 여권 영상을 스미어링한 후, 추출된 문자열 중에서 가장 긴 문자열을 선택하고 이 문자열의 좌측과 우측 부분의 두께 중심을 연결하는 직선과 수평선과의 기울기를 이용하여 여권 여상에 대한 각도 보정을 수행한다. 여권 코드 추출은 소벨 연산자와 수평 스미어링, 8방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 여권 코드의 문자열 영역을 추출하고, 추출된 여권 코드 문자열 영역에 대해 반복 이지화 방법을 적용하여 코드의 문자열 영역을 이진화한다. 이진화된 문자열 영역에 대해 CDM 마스크를 적용하여 문자열의 코드들을 복원하고 8방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 개별 코드를 추출한다. 추출된 개별 코드는 ART2 알고리즘을 적용하여 인식한다. 얼굴 인증을 위해 템플릿 매칭 알고리즘을 이용하여 얼굴 템플릿 데이터베이스를 구축하고 여권에서 추출된 얼굴 영역과의 유사도 측정을 통하여 여권 얼굴 영역의 위조 여부를 판별한다. 얼굴 인증을 위해서 Hue, YIQ-I, YCbCr-Cb 특징들의 유사도를 종합적으로 분석하여 얼굴 인증에 적용한다. 제안된 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법의 성능을 평가를 위하여 원본 여권에 얼굴 부분을 위조한 여권과 노이즈, 대비 증가 및 감소, 밝기 증가 및 감소 및 여권 영상을 흐리게 하여 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법이 여권 코드 인식 및 얼굴 인증에 있어서 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.권 영상에서 획득되어진 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와 데이터베이스에 있는 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와의 거리 값을 계산하여 사진 위조 여부를 판별한다. 제안된 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법의 성능을 평가를 위하여 원본 여권에서 얼굴 부분을 위조한 여권과 기울어진 여권 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법이 여권의 코드 인식 및 얼굴 인증에 있어서 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.진행하고 있다.태도와 유아의 창의성간에는 상관이 없는 것으로 나타났고, 일반 유아의 아버지 양육태도와 유아의 창의성간의 상관에서는 아버지 양육태도의 성취-비성취 요인에서와 창의성제목의 추상성요인에서 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 창의성이 높은 아동의 아버지의 양육태도는 일반 유아의 아버지와 보다 더 애정적이며 자율성이 높지만 창의성이 높은 아동의 집단내에서 창의성에 특별한 영향을 더 미치는 아버지의 양육방식은 발견되지 않았다. 반면 일반 유아의 경우 아버지의 성취지향성이 낮을 때 자녀의 창의성을 향상시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상에서 자녀의 창의성을 향상시키는 중요한 양육차원은 애정성이나 비성취지향성으로 나타나고 있어 정서적인 측면의 지원인 것으로 밝혀졌다.징에서 나타나는 AD-SR맥락의 반성적 탐구가 자주 나타났다. 반성적 탐구 척도 두 그룹을 비교 했을 때 CON 상호작용의 특징이 낮게 나타나는 N그룹이 양적으로 그리고 내용적으로 더 의미 있는 반성적 탐구를 했다용을 지원하는 홈페이지를 만들어 자료 제공 사이트에 대한 메타 자료를 데이터베이스화했으며 이를 통해 학생들이 원하는 실시간 자료를 검색하여 찾을 수 있고 홈페이지를 방분했을 때 이해하기 어려운 그래프나 각 홈페이지가 제공하는 자료들에 대한 처리 방법을 도움말로 제공받을 수 있게 했다. 실

Speech Activity Detection using Lip Movement Image Signals (입술 움직임 영상 선호를 이용한 음성 구간 검출)

  • In this paper, A method to prevent the external acoustic noise from being misrecognized as the speech recognition object is presented in the speech activity detection process for the speech recognition. Also this paper confirmed besides the acoustic energy to the lip movement image signals. First of all, the successive images are obtained through the image camera for personal computer and the lip movement whether or not is discriminated. The next, the lip movement image signal data is stored in the shared memory and shares with the speech recognition process. In the mean time, the acoustic energy whether or not by the utterance of a speaker is verified by confirming data stored in the shared memory in the speech activity detection process which is the preprocess phase of the speech recognition. Finally, as a experimental result of linking the speech recognition processor and the image processor, it is confirmed to be normal progression to the output of the speech recognition result if face to the image camera and speak. On the other hand, it is confirmed not to the output the result of the speech recognition if does not face to the image camera and speak. Also, the initial feature values under off-line are replaced by them. Similarly, the initial template image captured while off-line is replaced with a template image captured under on-line, so the discrimination of the lip movement image tracking is raised. An image processing test bed was implemented to confirm the lip movement image tracking process visually and to analyze the related parameters on a real-time basis. As a result of linking the speech and image processing system, the interworking rate shows 99.3% in the various illumination environments.

A study on origin of fresh water in fresh and salt water interface (담·염수 경계면의 담수 기원에 관한 연구)

  • 해안과 하천이 위치해 있는 낙동강하구의 담 염수 경계면 추적 연구에서 담 염수 경계면의 담수기원특성을 분석하기 위해서는 담 염수 경계면을 이루는 담수의 기원이 하천 혹은 지하수 인지를 규명하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 담 염수 경계면에 있는 담수는 일반적으로 하천과 지하수에 의한 것으로, 낙동강하구 일원을 대상으로 지하수공 내 해수침투 여부 파악을 위해 화학적(유기물) 분석을 실시하였다. 이와 아울러 낙동강하구 일원에서 담 염수 경계면에서 채취한 수질시료의 담수기원을 분석하기 위하여 K-water연구원 수질안전센터에 지하수공 7개지점(BH-1~7호공)의 심도별 물시료 2~4개지점(총 23개 지점), 하천(1개 지점), 해수 및 해안유출수(각 1개 지점)를 포함한 26개 시료를 LC-OCD(Liquid Chromatography-Organic Carbon Detector)로 분석하였다. LC-OCD 분석결과 특성은 기본적으로 유기물질이 물에서 유래한 aquagenic 혹은 토양층에서 유래한 pedogenic 유기물질 인지에 달려있다. 댐 또는 하천에서 pedogenic 유기물의 농도는 일반적으로 유역분지의 수문 또는 수리지질학적 경로에 의존한다. pedogenic 유기물들은 주로 상대적으로 작은 분자량을 갖는 친수성, 높은 사슬밀도 및 내화성 분자특성을 갖는 펄빅산으로 구성된다. aquagenic 유기물질은 수생 식물성 생물이나 플랑크톤의 분해 산물로서 세포벽에서 유래된 peptidoglycans와 고분자량의 polysaccharides 등을 포함한다(Chio & Jung, 2008; Buffle, 1988). 담 염수 경계면 추적을 위한 7개 관측공의 심도별 수질시료는 하천, 해수, 그리고 해안유출수의 용존유기탄소를 분석하기 위하여 LC-OCD로 정밀분석하였다. 그 결과, humic, 휴믹물질의 산화물질인 building blocks, 생물고분자 물질(bio-polymers), neutrals, acids로 분석되었으며, 일반적인 자연유기물질의 기원은 pedogenic과 aquagenic 유기물질로 분류된다. IHSS 표준물질 분석 등을 통한 SUVA 값으로부터 자연유기물질의 기원정보를 제공하는 HS-Diagram으로 도시한 결과, 2018년 11월 2일 조사한 26개의 원수시료 전체는 pedogenic fulvic acid〉aquagenic fulvic acid으로 하천의 기원이 우세한 것으로 분석되었다. BH-1호공과 BH-6호공의 특정 1개구간 GL.-6m를 제외한 모든 구간에서 aquagenic FA의 지하수 기원으로 분석되었으며, 나머지 지하수공(BH-2, 3, 4, 5, 7)과 하천 및 해안유출수는 유역분지 수문학적 경로인 pedogenic FA의 하천 기원의 담수인 것으로 분석된다.

Computer-Assisted Navigation in Total Knee Arthroplasty (내비게이션 장치를 이용한 슬관절 전치환술)

  • Total knee arthroplasty has become a standard procedure for advanced knee arthritis to relieve pain and improve function. Computer-assisted navigation systems have been used in total knee arthroplasty to improve the mechanical axis of the limb as well as the alignment and position of the components. A computer-assisted navigation system has the advantage of real-time feedback during surgery, such as mediolateral balance in extension and flexion gap, alignment of the lower limb, and components. On the other hand, the computer-assisted navigation system requires an additional stab wound for tracker fixation, which can increase the likelihood of superficial wound infection and stress fractures and increase the operation time and cost of surgery. The clinical efficacy of computer-assisted navigation in total knee arthroplasty is also controversial. Compared to the conventional technique, computer navigation improves the accuracy of the postoperative mechanical axis within outliers of $3^{\circ}$ varus or $3^{\circ}$ valgus. This paper reviews the surgical technique, pitfalls, clinical and radiological outcomes, useful clinical cases, and future perspectives in computer-assisted navigation total knee arthroplasty.

Evaluation of Angle Dependence on Positional Radioisotope Source Detector using Monte Carlo Simulation in NDT (몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 이용한 방사선원 위치 검출기의 각도의존성 연구)

  • Radiation sources used in the field of industrial non-destructive pose a risk of exposure due to ageing equipment and operator carelessness. Thus, the need for a safety management system to trace the location of the source is being added. In this study, Monte Carlo Simulation was performed to analyse the angle dependence of the unit-cell comprising the line-array dosimeter for tracking the location of radiation sources. As a result, the margin of error for the top 10% of each slope was 5.90% at $0^{\circ}$, 8.08% at $30^{\circ}$, and 20.90% at $60^{\circ}$. The ratio of the total absorbed dose was 83.77% at $30^{\circ}$ and 53.36% at $60^{\circ}$ based on $0^{\circ}$(100%) and showed a tendency to decrease with increasing slope. For all gradients, the maximum number was shown at $30^{\circ}$ No. 9 pixels, and for No. 10, there was a tendency to drop 7.24 percent. This study has shown a large amount of angle dependence, and it is estimated that the proper distance between the source and line-array dosimeters should be maintained at a distance of not less than 1 cm to reduce them.

Shear-wave elasticity imaging with axial sub-Nyquist sampling (축방향 서브 나이퀴스트 샘플링 기반의 횡탄성 영상 기법)

  • Functional ultrasound imaging, such as elasticity imaging and micro-blood flow Doppler imaging, enhances diagnostic capability by providing useful mechanical and functional information about tissues. However, the implementation of functional ultrasound imaging poses limitations such as the storage of vast amounts of data in Radio Frequency (RF) data acquisition and processing. In this paper, we propose a sub-Nyquist approach that reduces the amount of acquired axial samples for efficient shear-wave elasticity imaging. The proposed method acquires data at a sampling rate one-third lower than the conventional Nyquist sampling rate and tracks shear-wave signals through RF signals reconstructed using band-pass filtering-based interpolation. In this approach, the RF signal is assumed to have a fractional bandwidth of 67 %. To validate the approach, we reconstruct the shear-wave velocity images using shear-wave tracking data obtained by conventional and proposed approaches, and compare the group velocity, contrast-to-noise ratio, and structural similarity index measurement. We qualitatively and quantitatively demonstrate the potential of sub-Nyquist sampling-based shear-wave elasticity imaging, indicating that our approach could be practically useful in three-dimensional shear-wave elasticity imaging, where a massive amount of ultrasound data is required.

Assessment of the Effectiveness of Biofeedback Therapy in Children with Pelvic Floor Dyssynergia (소아 골반저 근실조에서 바이오피드백 치료의 유용성)

  • Purpose: Recently well-developed anorectal function tests have revealed that there is an obvious pelvic floor dyssynergia (PFD) pattern in pediatric patients with constipation, as well as in adult's. The use of biofeedback therapy (BT) has been widely implemented in adult PFD patients; however, this approach has only rarely been considered for pediatric PFD patients. Therefore, we assessed the effectiveness of BT in children with PFD. Methods: We studied 70 children with PFD, who were referred to the department of pediatrics at the Asan Medical Center for the management of soiling or chronic constipation from September 2002 to February 2005. Diagnosis of PFD and assessment of the efficacy of BT for PFD treatment were carried out along with several ano-rectal function tests (cine-defecography, ano-rectal manometry, balloon expulsion test and intra-anal EMG); in addition, a questionnaire was administered. The BT based intra-anal EMG was performed. A follow-up telephone interview was performed more than 6 months later. Results: Most of the symptoms and results of the ano-rectal function tests were statistically improved after BT. In comparisons between the BT and control groups (BT refusal group due to poor compliance), the symptoms were statistically improved at follow-up. Therefore, for the shortterm improvement of symptoms, BT was better than conservative therapy alone. The negative feelings associated with ano-rectal function testing and BT were directly associated with failure or success of therapy. Conclusion: Pediatric patients with constipation or soiling that presented with an obvious PFD pattern showed that BT was a useful therapeutic tool for rapid improvement of symptoms.
