Nursing college students' continuous clinical experiences play an important part in the development of their nursing competency. In reality, it is difficult all of students to have enough clinical experiences. We can think of simulation learning as a solution to this problem. This research attempted to develop learning contents of simulation scenario regarding pediatric nursing. We organized the contents focusing on nursing process. The application of simulation scenario showed that the educational effect. In conclusion, this research suggests that nursing college students can supply high-quality nursing services to children and their families by developing and application of simulation scenario with various cases.

The aim of this research is to examine demand of disaster nursing education and core competencies of clinical nurses, and identify elements affecting their core competencies. The data analysis found that there was difference in demand of disaster nursing education(p=.036) depending on disaster experiences, and that there were differences in core competencies depending on age(p=.013), department(p=.007), experiences of disaster nursing education(p<.001), and consciousness of disaster preparedness(p<.001). In addition, it was identified that consciousness of disaster preparedness(p=.003) and experiences of disaster nursing education(p<.001) are the elements affecting core competencies in disaster nursing. It is expected that the findings of this research will be used as basic resources to improve the ability to quickly respond to disaster, and to explore development of education programs on clinical practices.

Metaverse shopping has emerged as a new phenomenon in social commerce. This study aims to investigate the user experience of metaverse stores shopping based on the S-O-R model. The results of the study show that telepresence, entertainment, personalized recommendation, and social interaction have significant positive effects on flow experience and satisfaction in metaverse shopping. Additionally, satisfaction and flow experience are shown to have significant positive effects on user intentions. This study provides valuable implications for the design and management of metaverse stores to improve user experience and increase user intention.

The present study surveyed university librarians' perceptions of barriers to research utilization using the Barrier Scales. The results shows that in mean Barriers Scale scores, characteristics of the organization had the highest, and then followed by the communication, the research and the librarian. The most important factor was perceived to be organizational support relating to insufficient time to implement new ideas, inadequate facilities, and lack of authority to make changes and in the communication relating to lack of clarity of research implications for practice, lack to demonstrate research's relevance to practice, and lack of readability of research. Also, incomprehensible English research reports and statistical analyses were perceived as major barriers. The comparison with those of nursing was discussed. In order to settle the barriers identified, librarians should be educated to have 'research literacy' and organazational merit and reward systems were reinforced for research utilization. Also, it needs to explore librarians' specific experiences of barriers in utilizing process in practice. In further research, by integrating both the result of the quantitative and qualitative research, it needs to develop and to assess a standard measurement for librarians' barriers of research utilization in national and international context.

Most of the privacy officers of organizations are hard to think of the corrective action about deficiencies of the PIMS(Personal Information Management Systems) certification. Because, it is difficult to define the priority of the complementary measures due to the unique characteristics and procedures of personal information protection for each organization. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the priority of the complementary measures using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). According to the results, it is important to comply with the legal requirements in the first tier. The second tier, PIMS experts answered that dedicated organization, password management, and agreement of the subject are important. Above all, agreement of the subject was found the highest priority for complementary measures about PIMS's deficiencies.

Purpose: This study was conducted to describe qualitatively the entities of nurse's experiences in general hospitals and to suggest basic data guiding research on developing Standards of clinical nursing practice in Korea. Method: Fourteen nurses working at general hospitals with over 300 beds in Seoul were interviewed in-depth until saturation using tape-recorders and transcription. Result: The central theme of clinical nursing practice experienced by subjects was "being with clients" that means accepting client's personal character, solving client's needs and providing client-centered nursing. A also "being with clients" was felt to be the responsibility of nurses which was learned from their nursing schools. The nursing strategies performed in order to be with patients were proving skillful nursing techniques, accepting, educating, emotional support, advocating, and self-reflecting, the subjects experienced somewhat problematic affects such as difficulties in interpersonal relationship, work overload, negative image of nursing, deficit of self-confidence for nursing actions, poor working conditions, and unfair treatment. Nurses at the hospital practiced with pride when they felt that they were accepted by clients. Conclusion: Further research is needed to analysis problems in clinical practice and the comparison of nurses' experiences of clinical practice, with nurses' experiences in various settings.

As advanced earthquake analysis/design methods such as the nonlinear static analysis are developed, it is required to estimate precisely the cyclic behavior of reinforced concrete members that is characterized by strength, deformability, and capacity of energy dissipation. However, currently, estimation of energy dissipation depends on empirical equations that are not sufficiently accurate, or experiment and sophisticated numerical analysis which are difficult to use in practice.0 the present study, nonlinear finite element analysis was performed to investigate the behavioral characteristics of flexure-dominant RC members under cyclic load. The effects of axial force, arrangement of reinforcing bars, and reinforcement ratio on the cyclic behavior were studied. Based on the investigation, a simplified method to estimate the capacity of energy dissipation was proposed, and it was verified by the comparison with the finite element analyses and experiments. The proposed method can estimate the energy dissipation of RC members more precisely than currently used empirical equations, and it is easily applicable in practice.

This study aims to figure out the current state of health insurance education provided to dentists and personnel in charge of insurance claim as well as the effects of experiences in education on their knowledge of health insurance standard and actual application. As a result of analysis on 100 data sheets related to dentistry and 100 data sheets related to personnel in charge of insurance claim (a total of 200 data sheets), following results were generated. Insurance claim personnels showed higher score than dentist in knowledge of health insurance standard and it was significant statistically. Knowledge of insurance claim personnel showed significant differences in educational experiences, in health insurance for the latest three years and average hours of education per session whereas that of dentists did not indicate any significant differences. The level of practical application of dentists was significantly different (p<0.05) according to experiences in insurance claim, and that of insurance claim personnel significantly varied (p<0.05) depending on age, experiences of insurance education and average hours of education. The longer average hours of education, the higher level of practical application. Experiences of insurance education turned out to affect on the knowledge of health insurance standard significantly (p<0.05) on the part of dentists and insurance claim personnel, and the level of experiences in insurance claim and knowledge of health insurance standard on the part of dentists and insurance claim personnel turned out to affect on practical application significantly (p<0.001). Judging from the result, continuous education needs to be conducted in order to enable dentists and insurance claim personnel to maintain the level of knowledge about health insurance and practical application.

Purpose: This study was designed to investigate various role changes of nurses who have cared both medical cases and hospice patients and what they experienced. Methods: Focus group interviews were done 3 times and participants were 12 nurses who have worked in the hospice unit of medical ward. Results: Role changes in 4 areas such as holistic care, end-of-life care, care fur rare givers, and coordination of hospice team were reported by the participants. What they felt were as follows : fear, confusion, maturation, increasingly labor, regret, accomplishment, sympathy and depression. Conclusion: Although hospice care in general medical ward added extra tasks, it helped clinical nurses recover professional identity and led to growth of nursing by acquiring new knowledge and skill in hospice care.

This study was performed in order to investigate the effect of breast milk on pain relief in newborn during heel lancing. Nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design by double blinded experiment was used. 50 neonates were randomized to receive breast milk (experimental group, n=25) or no treatment (control group, n=25) before undergoing heel lancing. Informed consent was obtained from parents of 50 neonates. Neonatal infant pain scale (NIPS), respiration rate, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and crying duration were used to assess subjects' pain reaction. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0. The experimental and control group showed a statistically significant differences in NIPS score (F=28.89, p<.001), heart rate (F=14.03, p<.001), respiration rate (F=4.79, p=.001), oxygen saturation (F=2.69, p=.027), and crying duration (t=-8.78, p <.001) at each time points (during heel lancing, right after heel lancing, 1, 2, 3 minutes after heel lancing). The result suggest that oral administration of expressed breast milk is safe and natural agents for reducing procedural pain of neonates. Another clinical trial study with more samples is recommended.
