BLE Beacon Based Online Offline Tourism and Solutions for Regional Tourism Activation (지역관광 활성화를 위한 비콘 기반의 온오프라인 관광 솔루션)

  • In this paper, it is possible to update the tourist information in real time, on/off-line tour proposes a solution(BBTS) based on a bluetooth beacon can provide tourist information without the need for wireless data network. BBTS consists of a bluetooth based data of the low-power supply system and the beacons and interoperable smart applications. Data supply system consists of the BLE & Beacon Pairing-based / non-pairing data transmission module with integral hardware. Smart application modules that provide indoor location of users information, internal server module and tourist information collection and information guide around comprised of applications. The proposed BBTS is possible that indoor service tourism tourist demand due to utilizing the beacon technology. Outdoor tourist information is designed to be downloaded to the smartphone receives the information received from the beacon APK file to provide services. BBTS system is expected to make a big impact on the smart tourism services industry.

  • Recently, interest and demand of Augmented Reality(AR) contents are increasing as an application field of AR. Generally, when the AR contents are served in the outdoor environment, the position information using the GPS signal is used to control the display of the object on the AR screen, or a marker based on the image of the object is used. However, there is a problem that location information can not be used in an indoor environment. If the service is provided using only the marker, there is a problem that the recognition of the marker due to the moving obstacle in the vicinity is unstable. and there is a problem that information displayed on the AR screen is not displayed in a fixed state at a specific position, it moves according to the movement of the camera. In this paper, we have studied the object control method for displaying the object to be displayed on the AR screen by using iBeacon using indoor location recognition and specific markers.

Optimal Position Estimation of a Service Robot using GVG Nodes and Beacon Trilateral Method (비콘 삼변측량과 보로노이 세선화를 이용한 서비스로봇의 최적 이동위치 추정)

  • This paper proposes a method of estimating the optimal position of a robot in order to provide a service by approaching a user located outside the sensing area of the robot in an indoor environment. First, in order to estimate the user's location, the location in the indoor environment was estimated by applying a trilateral approach to the beacon-tag module data, and Voronoi thinning to set the optimal movement goal from the user's estimated location. Based on the generated nodes, the final location was estimated through the calculation of the user location, obstacle, and movement path, and the location accuracy of the service robot was verified through the movement of the destination of the actual robot platform.

  • As the scale of transfer center becomes gradually large, transfer information service considering convenience of users in motion in a large transfer center is required. This service provides moving users with information through individual portable terminals such as mobile phone or, smart phone which are capable of wireless communication. In particular, technology of measuring indoor location using Wi-Fi is in a stage of commercial practice and indoor/outdoor location-base transfer information service is possible through smart phones with built-in GPS and Wi-Fi. In this study, we suggest information services that support transfer activities based on the locations of visitors inside transfer centers. This study also suggests the logical and physical architectures, and physical components required for the flow of information as well as the target connected standardized information for connecting destinations of each proposed draft standards.

Location Error Compensation in indoor environment by using MST-based Topology Control (MST 토폴로지를 이용한 실내 환경에서의 위치측정에러의 보상기법)

  • Many localization algorithms have been proposed for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). The IEEE 802.15.4a-based location-aware-system can provide precise ranging distance between two mobile nodes. The mobile nodes can obtain their exact locations by using accurate ranging distances. However, the indoor environments contain various obstacles which cause non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions. In NLOS condition, the IEEE 802.15.4a-based location-aware system has a large scale location error. To solve the problem, we propose location error compensation in indoor environment by using MST-based topology control. Experimental and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves location accuracy in NLOS conditions.

  • Recently, ubiquitous computing and related technologies is more and more growing concern about. Depending on the trend, the moving object recognition and tracking research have been required in order to meet the diverse needs of the user. In the location-based services, one of the most important issues in the indoor environment is to provide location-aware services. In this paper, the effective algorithm to help estimate the position of moving objects in an indoor environment is proposed. We propose an algorithm that combined the existing trilateration measurement and the improved measurement of environmental adaptation scene analysis. The proposed indoor location estimation algorithm use the trilateration measurement when we have enough anchor in the line-of-sight environment. Otherwise that use measurement of environmental adaptation scene analysis. Consequently, the proposed algorithm has been improved the localization accuracy of a moving object as well as was able to reduce complexity of the algorithm.

  • According as Ubiquitous comes, interest for indoor location tracking system was more increased socially. However, existing indoor location tracking system doesn't correspond actively in frequent change of indoor environment, and there is a problem that correct location measurement of transfer object is difficult by NLOS property of indoor environment. Purpose of this paper proposes environment accommodation location tracking system that is improved location precision of transfer object and grasps location of indoor transfer object effectively that is essential element effectively to provide service to satisfy various user's request according as Ubiquitous comes.

A Geometric Approach for the Indoor Localization System (실내 위치 측위 시스템을 위한 기하학적 접근 기법)

  • Location-based services provide customized information or services according to the user's location. The existing localization schemes for outdoor environment are not applicable to the indoor localization system which requires higher accuracy of location estimation than that of the outdoor localization system. In this paper, we employ the received signal strength(RSS) to approximate the distance between a moving target and a reference point and use the triangulation method to estimate the location of the moving target for the indoor localization system in IEEE 802.15.4 wireless PAN(personal area network). For the indoor localization system, we propose a scheme which selects the best reference points to enhance the localization accuracy and adaptively reflects the changes in propagation environments of a moving target to the distance approximation. Through the implementation of the localization system, we have verified the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of the estimation accuracy.

LOD(Level of Detail) Model for Utilization of Indoor Spatial Data (실내 공간정보 활용을 위한 세밀도 모델)

  • As the map paradigm shifts from analog to digital, the LOD (Level Of Detail) of spatial information needs to be redefined. In this study, we propose 4- dimensional indoor LOD model which can be used in digital map environment. For this purpose, the limitation of the previous research is derived through study of related works, and based on this, four different LODs are defined such PLOD (Position accuracy LOD) based on position accuracy, GLOD (Geometric LOD) based on shape representation, CLOD (Complete LOD) based on generalization, and SLOD (Semantic LOD) based on theme accuracy. In addition, we describe the relationships among the four different LODs, and explain how to express the indoor LOD using the four different LODs and show examples. In the future, the case studies of indoor LOD adoption for various indoor services and the study of method for applying CLOD and SLOD to each feature should be performed to verify the feasibility and validity of proposed indoor LOD.

  • 스마트폰을 중심으로 한 다양한 형태의 모바일 기기의 등장과 이를 기반으로 하는 사용자 중심의 위치 정보 서비스 기술은 지속적으로 발전하고 있으며, 관련된 모바일 서비스 시장의 규모 또한 매우 큰 폭으로 성장하고 있다. 특히, GPS(Global Positioning System)를 기반으로 하는 음식점 검색과 배달 음식 주문 모바일 어플리케이션은 많은 사용자를 중심으로 보편화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 음식 주문과 관련하여 BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy Beacon)비콘을 사용한 실내 사용자 위치 정보 기반의 외식 매장용 모바일 서비스를 제안한다.
