This paper has focused on comprehending the interior designs and characteristics of modern department stores in Korea by looking into the birth and changes of those built under the Japanese Forced Occupation Period. The first modem department stores including Mitsukoshi, Georgia and Hwashin Department Stores began to appear in Korea under the Japanese Colonial Rule. They considered a variety of architectural elements like construction planning, shop arrangement, path of customer movement and interior design. The interior of modem department stores aimed to pursue the so-called modernization movement, but failed to fully contain the unique characteristics of the times in that particular period. Modem department stores took on new western styles prevailed in Korea and were characterized by the eclecticism in which various architectural forms exist together. In other words, their interiors implied a sign of the times in the confusing and corrupt world then. Especially those modern department stores were designed, repaired and extended by foreign designers who were ignorant of the history of Korean architecture. What is worse, their further remodelling practices made big mistakes by considering only functional and economical aspects and giving a back seat to the architectural and historical value of existing modern department stores. Therefore, we should make more efforts to study and conserve the fundamentals of modem architectures like modem department stores in order to have better understanding of the aesthetic value of indoor space and facilitating smooth communication between past and present.

Modern architecture is very Important part of korean architecture history. Because It's a role in terms of connecting traditional and current architecture and introduction of western architecture. Accordingly, At this meaninglessly going out and leaving of modern architecture, the purpose of this study is systematic researching of the modern Government Office interior. This study to research into the period context at construction of the modern Government Office and tendency of architecture and interior at that time. And understand interior space organization of it. The modern Government Office adopted Neo-Baroque style from tendency of that time. Also, showed composite order which is mixed In the Creek temple, the Renaissance and the classic style representing the power. But, after late 1920 It adopted Modern Style. This characteristic is different from current composit order, which is comprehended by our. In order to understand aesthetic value of current straight interior space, It have to be Interacted the present and past. But It's averted because it was made In the period of Japanese imperialism. Therefore, We should explore history of interior design that is endowed with sociality and historicity between modern and future interior space as well as current.

This study aims at developing the interior design method of Public Toilet in office building. There needs new concepts in Public Toilet where we felt dirty smelling and dismal in the past. And the behavior in the Public Toilet become various such as combing the hair making-up changing the clothes rinsing out mouth and so on. Nowadays The Public Toilet of office building shows indirectly the hierarchy and the management philosophy of its enterprise, This study treats with the design items such as unit space zoning plan lighting plan and air-conditioning plan and construction method of Public-Toilet in office building. As a result of this study the interior design methods of Public Toilet must reflect use of fitting material lighting plan user's needs and functional divide.(Powder Zone and Physiology Zone) These result will become basic data of future interior design in Public Toilet.

In 1990s, interest on Environment has been increased and Environment-oriented consumer's economic power accelerated the trend of preference for 'Environment-friendly material'. Moreover, the concept of 'Sick Building' Syndrome has been spread to the public and solution for the syndrome is required. 'Environment-friendly material'means that the material used is not harmful for the user's health, and on top of that, causes least harm to the environment during production/scrap process of the material itself. Decision of designers and architectures, as a result, is really crucial tot he environment issues. Above all, selecting the most environment-friendly material and design among possible candidates is natural and cost saving way. In the paper, couple of Evaluation Criterium for Material Selection are analyzed and objective linkage has been identified. With the result of analysis, methodology to minimize damage on environment during whole life cycle of the Interior Design has been sought for.

Modern architecture after enlightenment period of Korea has been defamed indifferently before preparing devices for preservation. Many modern architecture has been underestimated by the feeling of being cultural victimized for Japan and economic logic. Other advanced countries make laws for their historic heritage with a concept for past-present-future. Also they re-create their cultural heritage to help their local economic. As the Registration System is established at july 2001, we have to find organic, positive interior space utilization methods about modern architecture. Modern architecture is private property in real using but it has historic trace. Therefore, modern architecture can be affirmative social property because it is a base of historic, cultural circumstances for local identity. The purpose of this study is to construct preservation and utilization methods of interior space for modern architecture.

Even though the Korean intoner architecture market has constantly developed in the past on the basis of the economic and social growth, it has had a tough time for varied reasons since 1998. Restructuring in the construction industry is required due largely to both the lack of market demand which resulted from the foreign exchange crisis and managerial trouble which is getting worse as time goes by. In actual, as the social necessity for remodeling in skyrocketing, the remodeling is getting more acclaim. That is because old architecture generates a great amount of architectural trash, and it is necessary to look for ways to saute the energy. In the wake of these situations, the remodeling industry is drawing attention as an alternative to the marketable limitations of the existing construction industry. However, it is true that the remodeling market has yet to be activated decisively. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to provide a basis for entering into and activating the remodeling market of the interior architecture industry by analyzing the scale and recent conditions of the remodeling sector.

In this study, the basic information and study design characteristics of the Building Outer Wall Vertical Greening were analyzed. Recorded according to the type of research and analysis, through numerical statistics. Building Outer Wall Vertical Greening design the most appropriate and effective ways to present and try to guidelines. The scope of the research of Building Outer Wall Vertical Greening(2001-2013) was selected the most representative examples. Theory and statistical data analysis and case study research was conducted. Building Outer Wall Vertical Greening should be designed synthetically geographical features of the project, existing material, to consider the value of the building. Architect must be designed depending on accident and comprehensive expertise for architectural design of Building Outer Wall Vertical Greening. Building Outer Wall Vertical Greening requires the professional and comprehensive design approach depending on support of the government and people. However, purpose of use, plant, color, Formative expression, culture, locality, maintenance is properly applied in the design process is not easy.

Since the 20th century, it has been the most important agenda that issued the environment of earth. And it has been enormous endeavors for providing the environmental-friendly. It has now outcome as a policy of estimate and acknowledgement for providing the environmental-friendly. Regarding that is the most efficient method in a practical sense, the policy has rapidly been developed. This study is an attempt to categorize interior design of the policy. Thus main-body of this study shall be clarified the definition of the notion of the environmental-friendly design and investigated the element of harm against the environmental-friendly as well. Eventually the conclusion is to provide a guideline for the environmental-friendly especially for the field of interior design materials, by the investigation of the exiting policy for the environmental-friendly design.

The CMYK is the mathematical color model and the Musell system is an intuitive color model. CMYK color model needs to be proposed in the information age. These two models need to be integrated for convenience of color design. This paper deals with CMRK values, which have appeared in interior design, in association with the Munsell code. Firstly, color samples have been extracted from the cases of interior design. Secondly, the CMRK values of the color sample and the Munsell code have been found. Thirdly, relationship between the CMRK values has been formularized in comparison with the Whelan's color pallette by using the regression method. This paper concludes by proposing the formular which can be used to develope color palette in further research.

The main focus of this paper is to apply contemporary aesthetics and psychological study with interior design analysis. Up to now, the methodology of interior design analysis has been developed toward a more qualitative way. By the virtue of the perception , congnition , and information theory, which oriented toward a quantitative approach, it became possible to investigate interior space analysis to a more objective and scientific ways. The purpose of this study is to investigate Modern and Post-Modern interior - architectural style with quantitative analytical method. The subjective interior critique studied by intuitive research will be transferred to scientific way by using quantitative formula . Savoye Villa and Guardiola House were selected as study model, because each architectural works ware regarded as masterpieces of Modern and Post-Modern style. These two oppositional style model will be distinguished with mathematical quantity by calculating Iave , Hmax, and Redundancy formula.
