Blind Signal Separation Using Eigenvectors as Initial Weights in Delayed Mixtures (지연혼합에서의 초기 값으로 고유벡터를 이용하는 암묵신호분리)

  • In this paper. a novel technique to set up the initial weights in BSS of delayed mixtures is proposed. After analyzing Eigendecomposition for the correlation matrix of mixing data. the initial weights are set from the Eigenvectors ith delay information. The Proposed setting of initial weighting method for conventional FDICA technique improved the separation Performance. The computer simulation shows that the Proposed method achieves the improved SIR and faster convergence speed of learning curve.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the effect of modulation scheme and modulation scheme on the dimming level of visible light communication system and studied the effect of distortion due to delayed signal. Currently, the modulation schemes most commonly used in visible light communication result in increasing the communication performance but reducing the brightness of the entire illumination. Continuous Burst Zero Duration will severely degrade lighting. This degrades not only the illumination but also the performance of the whole system and causes Flicker phenomenon. In this paper, we analyze the relationship between modulation technique and illumination - communication performance and investigate the effect of signal delay on visible light communication system. Through simulation, we analyze the performance of IPI-OOK which has the best communication-lighting performance and propose future research directions accordingly.

  • 다층 인쇄회로기판에서 고속 신호를 정확하고 신속하게 배선 설계하려면, 물리적 설계 규칙과 신호 잡음을 고려한 전기적 설계 규칙을 정립하고, 적용할 신호 검증 도구를 사용하여 신호의 충실성을 검증하여야 한다. 본 논문은 현재 개발 제작되어 동작 중에 있는 HIPSS(High Performance Storage System)보드에 대한 전기적 설계 규칙과 고속 신호의 배선에 따른 일부 고속 신호의 신호 검증 방법을 설명한다. 또한 전기적 설계 규칙을 적용하여 인쇄회로기판을 설계하는 경우, 발생하는 신호 지연, 반사 그리고 누화 등의 신호 잡음을 검증 도구를 이용하여 시뮬레이션 하고, 분석한 결과를 보이며, 수정된 고속 신호의 배선 설계를 확인한다.

Design of a Time-to-Digital Converter without Delay Time (지연시간 없는 시간-디지털 신호 변환기의 설계)

  • A new time-to-digital converter is proposed which is based on a capacitor and a counter. The conventional time-to-digital converter requires rather longer processing time than the input time interval to obtain an accurate digital output. The resolution of the converted digital output is constant independent on the input time interval. However this study proposes the circuit in which the converted digital output can be obtained without delay time, and both the input time interval and the resolution can be easily improved through controlling passive device parameters.

  • 고속 디지털 MCM 응용을 위해 MCM-D 와 MCM-SLC 배선에서 CMOS 버퍼의 신호상승시간에 따른 신호전송특성을 연구하였다. 고속신호처럼 버퍼의 내부저항이 배선의 임피던스보다 작아 발생하게 되는 과도한 ringing은 MCM-D와 같이 lossy line의 전송감쇠 효과로 overshooting 이나 undershooting을 줄일 수 있지만 ringing에 의한 신호왜곡을 근 본적으로 막기위해서는 CMOS버퍼와 배선사이에 적절한 종단을 통해 임피던스 비해 크면 배선의 캐패시턴스에 의해 RC 지연이 증가한다. 그런데 MCM-D 배선은 단위길이당 캐패 시턴스도 작고 배선길이를 줄일수 있으므로 총 RC 지연은 MCM-SLC보다 작았다. 결론적 으로 MCM-D 배선이 MCM-SLC 배선에 비해 고속 디지털 MCM기판으로 적합한 것을 알 수 있었다.

Time delay estimation algorithm using Elastic Net (Elastic Net를 이용한 시간 지연 추정 알고리즘)

  • Time-delay estimation between two receivers is a technique that has been applied in a variety of fields, from underwater acoustics to room acoustics and robotics. There are two types of time delay estimation techniques: one that estimates the amount of time delay from the correlation between receivers, and the other that parametrically models the time delay between receivers and estimates the parameters by system recognition. The latter has the characteristic that only a small fraction of the system's parameters are directly related to the delay. This characteristic can be exploited to improve the accuracy of the estimation by methods such as Lasso regularization. However, in the case of Lasso regularization, the necessary information is lost. In this paper, we propose a method using Elastic Net that adds Ridge regularization to Lasso regularization to compensate for this. Comparing the proposed method with the conventional Generalized Cross Correlation (GCC) method and the method using Lasso regularization, we show that the estimation variance is very small even for white Gaussian signal sources and colored signal sources.

Bubble-type Motion Detector Using a Pulsed-mode Oscillator and Delay Line (펄스 모드 발진기와 지연선로를 이용한 버블형 동작감지기)

  • This paper presents a new motion detector that has a bubble-layer detection zone using a pulsed-mode oscillator and delay line. The proposed motion detector controls the bubble-layer detection zone with pulse width of transmitted signals and creates IF signals only by reflected signals from the target within the detection zone whose position is determined by time delay of the delay line. The fabricated motion detector uses the pulsed-mode voltage controlled oscillator as a signal source which has a center frequency of 8 GHz, pulse width of 2 nsec and pulse period of 30 nsec. It successfully makes the bubble-layer detection zones at 1 m, 3 m and 5 m distant from itself using two delay lines with 7 nsec and 12 nsec delay, and is also demonstrated to detect the target within the detection zones.

Noise Suppression Method for Restoring Line Spectrum Pair (선스펙트럼 쌍의 복원에 의한 잡음억제 기법)

  • This paper describes a noise suppression system based on a normalization method using a time-delay neural network and line spectrum pair having a parameter of frequency domain. First, a time-delay neural network is trained using line spectrum pair values of noisy speech signals obtained by linear prediction analysis. After trained the time-delay neural network, the proposed system enhances speech signals that are degraded by a background noise. Accordingly, the proposed time-delay neural network restores from the line spectrum pair values of noisy speech signals to the line spectrum pair values of clean speech signals. It is confirmed that this system is effective for speech signals degraded by a background noise, judging from spectral distortion measurement.

  • The position and time errors of a conventional L1-band GPS receiver (1575.42MHz) are known to be about 100 m and 70 ns, respectively. These errors are mainly due to the propagation delay of GPS satellite signals through ionosphere. Various L1/L2 dual-band GPS receivers are normally used to compensate for those position and time errors by detecting an accurate propagation delay. These receivers detect the propagation delay difference between the L1 and L2 signals based on the fact that the propagation delay through ionosphere is dependent on frequency and, from which, calculate an accurate propagation delay of the GPS signals through ionosphere. In this paper, we analyzed the architecture of a L1/L2 dual-band CPS receiver by high-level simulations with Synopsys's COSSAP Tool.

Initial Weighting Establishment Through Eigenanalysis for BSS in Two-by-two Delayed Mixture (2×2지연 혼합에서의 암문신호처리를 위한 고유값분석을 통한 초기값 설정)

  • This paper propose a method for fast convergence technique in frequency domain independent component analysis (FDICA) using eigenanalysis. It important, such as SONAR system, to eliminate the interference sources through fast algorithm. Through eigenanalysing a two-by-two delayed mixture case, information of delay can be used for initial weighting parameters. Simulations show the improved performances in convergence speed and noise rejection rate. The proposed method can present close weights for optimal convergence, noise can be diminished drastically about 3 times epoch, and get the better resultss with 1~3dB than the conventional method.
