Synthesis of Asynchronous Circuits from Free-Choice Signal Transition Graphs with Timing Constraints (시간 제한 조건을 가진 자유 선택 신호 전이 그래프로부터 비동기 회로의 합성)

  • This paper presents a method which synthesizes asynchronous circuits from free-choice Signal Transition Graphs (STGs) with timing constraints. The proposed method synthesizes asynchronous circuits by analyzing: the relations between signal transitions directly from the STGs without generating state graphs. The synthesis procedure decomposes a free-choice STG into deterministic STGs which do not have choice behavior. Then, a timing analysis extracts the timed concurrency and tamed causality relations between any two signal transitions for each deterministic STG. The synthesis procedure synthesizes circuits for each deterministic STG and synthesizes the final circuit by merging the circuits for each deterministic STG. The experimental results show that our method achieves significant reductions in synthesis time for the circuits which have a large state space, and generates circuits that have nearly the same area as compared to previous methods.

A Signal Optimization Model Integrating Traffic Movements and Pedestrian Crossings (차량과 보행자 동시신호최적화모형 개발 연구)

  • Conventional traffic signal optimization models assume that green intervals for pedestrian crossings are given as exogenous inputs such as minimum green intervals for straight-ahead movements. As the result, in reality, the green intervals of traffic movements may not distribute adequately by the volume/saturation-flow of them. In this paper, we proposed signal optimization models formulated in BMILP to integrate pedestrian crossings into traffic movements under under-saturated traffic flow. The model simultaneously optimizes traffic and pedestrian movements to minimize weighted queues of primary queues during red interval and secondary queues during queue clearance time. A set of linear objective function and constraints set up to ensure the conditions with respect to pedestrian and traffic maneuvers. Numerical examples are given by pedestrian green intervals and the number of pedestrian crossings located at an arm. Optimization results illustrated that pedestrian green intervals using proposed models are greater than those using TRANSYT-7F, but opposite in the ratios of pedestrian green intervals to the cycle lengths. The simulation results show that proposed models are superior to TRANSYT-7F in reducing delay, where the longer the pedestrian green interval the greater the effect.

  • 본 논문에서는 전력케이블에서의 시간-주파수 영역 반사파 계측법을 기반으로 한 기준신호를 설계한다. 사용된 기준신호는 시간과 주파수 영역에서 동시에 분석할 수 있는 가우시안 포락선을 가지는 첩 신호이다. 10m 전력케이블의 특성에 적합하게 설계된 기준신호를 케이블에 직접 인가하여 반사파를 측정하고 정규화된 시간-주파수 영역 상호상관함수로 비교 분석하였다.

  • A timing synchronization method is presented for IEEE 802.11a wireless OFDM system. First the signal detection is achieved by measuring the moving energy of the received OFDM signal in two consecutive windows. By measuring the correlation between the short training signal and received envelope signal, fine OFDM symbol synchronization can be acquired. The variance and average value of the correlation value is acquired. And the theoretical values are compared with computer simulation results.

  • 위그너분포(Wigner Distribution)를 이용하여 진동신호를 분석하고, 신경회로망을 이용하여 온라인으로 진동발생에 따른 냉각재펌프의 이상상태를 진단하고자 하였다. 진동신호 분석을 위하여 현재 정상 가동중인 원전 냉각재펌프의 진동신호와 Rotor Kit으로부터 이상상태에 대한 모의신호를 추출하였다. 본 연구에서 진동신호 분석을 위하여 시간 및 주파수성분을 동시에 표현가능한 위그너분포 이론을 적용하므로써 기존의 시간 및 주파수성분을 별도로 표현하던 방법보다 신호분석이 용이함을 확인하였으며, 이 신호분석 결과를 바탕으로 역전파 신경회로망의 패턴인식 및 분류 특징을 이용한 진단결과는 실험데이타 량에 비추어 만족할 만한 인식률을 보였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 시스템 내부에 존재하는 불확실성에 대하여 안정성을 만족하는 입력신호 V, I, R, PWM의 신호를 사용자가 선택하는 신호로 변환하여 출력할 수 있는 신호변환기의 성능 및 설계방법을 연구 한다. 본 연구에서는 시간지연이 존재하는 신호변환기를 안정된 입/출력을 수행하여 나타나는 V, I, R, PWM 신호의 시간지연의 영향을 고려한 설계와 그 성능을 평가해 보았다.

  • A tram has been the focus of a new public transportation that can solve a traffic jam, decreasing of public transit usage and environmental problem in recent years. This study aims to develop a signal optimization model for considering the traffic signal progression of tram and vehicles, when they are operated simultaneously in the same signalized intersections. This research developed the KS-SIGNAL-Tram model to obtain a minimum tram bandwidth and to minimize a vehicle's delay to perform a tram passive signal priority, it is based on the KS-SIGNAL model and is added to the properties of a tram and it's system. We conducted a micro simulation test to evaluate the KS-SIGNAL-Tram model, it showed that the developed optimization model is effective to prevent a tram's stop on intersection, to reduce a tram's travel time and vehicle's delay.

  • Fourier transform has been one of the most commonly used tools in study of frequency characteristics of signal. However, based on the Fourier transform. it is hard to tell whether a signal's frequency contents evolve in time or not. Recently, to overcome Fourier transform fault. not to represent non-stationary signal, time-frequency analysis methods are developed and those can represent informations of signal's time and frequency at the same time. In this study we analysed ultrasonic signal for degraded SUS 316 with time-frequency analysis method. In particular the methods such as short time Fourier(STFT) and Wigner-Ville distribution(WVD) were used to extract frequency contents and characteristics from ultrasonic signals.

A Computationally Efficient Time Delay and Doppler Estimation for the LFM Signal (LFM 신호에 대한 효과적인 시간지연 및 도플러 추정)

  • In this paper, a computationally efficient time delay and doppler estimation algorithm is proposed for active sonar with Linear Frequency Modulated (LFM) signal. To reduce the computational burden of the conventional estimation algorithm, an algebraic equation is used which represents the relationship between the time delay and doppler in cross-ambiguity function of the LFM signal. The algebraic equation is derived based on the Fast maximum Likelihood (FML) method. Using this algebraic relation, the time delay and doppler are estimated with two 1-D search instead of the conventional 2-D search. The estimation errors of the proposed algorithm are analyzed for various SNR's. The simulation result demonstrates the good performance of the proposed algorithm.

Improving Reliability of Bus Arrival Time Predictions Considering delay Time at Signalized Intersection (신호교차로 지체시간을 고려한 버스도착시간 예측 신뢰성 향상 연구)

  • This study propose a method to predict the bus arrival time by considering the signal delay time which is an element which can not be considered in the current bus arrival prediction information generation algorithm. In order to consider the signal delay time, travel time is divided into three components: service time, cruising travel time, and signal delay time. Signal delay time was estimated using intersection arrival time and TOD. The results show that most of the errors that occurred in predicting the arrival time are within about 30 seconds. Some of the estimates have large errors due to the nature of this methodology that uses the estimated value of the intersection arrival time rather than the observation value. It is also difficult to predict the arrival time of the express buses using this method. Future studies such as improving this through real-time location information will greatly improve the accuracy of the methodology.
