Development of a Model for the Optimal Test Scheduling Considering Multiple Products (다제품 생산을 위한 최적 테스트 스케줄링 모델 개발)

  • As a rule, when develop new product in company, multiple products that have similar function are developed simultaneously. These products are subjected to a group of tests covering quality, safety and durability. If the schedule of tests is changed, the expected net presented value(NPV) of new products is changed. The tests should be scheduled with the goal of maximizing the expected NPV of the new products. A model incorporated resource constraints with the sequencing of testing tasks of multiple products is proposed in this paper. Examples show that the proposed model can handle stochastic task duration data represented by scenarios with probabilities.

  • 플라스틱 사출 제품은 다양한 가전제품과 하이테크 제품에 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 현재의 치열한 경쟁적 비즈니스 환경에서 플라스틱 사출 제품 제조업자들은 고객을 만족시키면서 경쟁력을 얻기 위하여 다른 경쟁자들보다 먼저 새로운 제품을 시장에 출시하고 신제품의 개발기간을 줄이기 위한 노력을 할 여유가 부족하다. 따라서 무한경쟁의 시장에서 살아남기 위해서는 제조업자들은 시장 마켓 점유를 빠르게 올리는 것과 동시에 제품의 가격 경쟁력을 가져야 한다. 특징기반 모델의 구조는 현재 연구에서 3D 제작 도구로서 일반적으로 적용되고 있으며 신제품 개발 엔지니어들이 새로운 제품의 개념을 개발하는 데에도 널리 사용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 특징기반 플라스틱 사출제품을 위한 유전자 알고리즘과 Support Vector Regression (SVR) 기반의 새로운 하이브리드 비용 평가 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 하이브리드 모델은 기존의 플라스틱 사출제품의 비용평가절차와 계산을 위해 필요로 하는 변수들을 극적으로 간단하게 하고 줄일 수 있다. 사례연구에서는 제안하는 하이브리드 모델과 기존의 multilayer perceptron networks (MLP) 및 pure SVR과의 비교분석을 통하여 제안모델이 플라스틱 사출 제품의 개발단계에서의 비용평가문제를 해결하는데 효율성과 효과성이 있음을 입증한다.

A Study on the Comparison of the Predictability among Traditional and Choice-based Conjoint Analyses in the Choice of Service Products (서비스제품 선택에서 전통적 컨조인트기법과 선택형 컨조인트기법간의 예측력 비교에 대한 연구)

  • Marketing managers hope to maximize the success rate of new products by satisfying various needs of consumers. For this, an analysis called 'conjoint analysis' has been frequently applied in the process of new product development. This study was performed to compare the predictability of diverse conjoint analyses in choice of general hospitals. The comparison was performed among four models of traditional conjoint analysis and choice-based conjoint analysis. Results show that the hybrid conjoint analysis, which combined the traditional conjoint analysis and the choice-based conjoint model showed the highest predictive accuracy. Still two models show similar estimates of utility.

The Moderate Effect of Market Maven to Intention of Word of Mouth on New Product (마켓메이븐이 신제품의 구전의도에 미치는 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to explain the word-of-mouth communication that evolve differently from traditional marketing communications using existing mass media in an environment of the flooding of new products. In particular, people use digital devices as internet users and various communication is activated in blogs and communities. It is expanding that companies use market maven as a facilitator of communication. The role of Market maven due to the spread of the Internet seems to be more meaningful for marketing activities. Market maven is a look at how it should study moderate effect on word of mouth of new products. Empirical results show that perceived curiosity and perceived innovativeness of new product has a positive impact on the word of mouth of new product, and was confirmed in a moderate effect of market maven.

  • Since launching a spoonful yogurt 'Yoplait' for the first time in the nation, Binggrae Co. has established the reputation of the Yoplait brand, and secured its leading position in the yogurt market. This study examined how Binggrae as a market pioneer (in the spoonful yogurt market) or a market follower(in the drinking yogurt market) has developed and responded to the yogurt market in which competition between companies are becoming fierce. Instead of being bound by conventional competition rules, Binggrae was found to have implemented distinctive marketing strategies for new products. That is, providing new values, the company led the market to change the paradigm of competition in the yogurt market. Together with long-term strategic marketing plans to manage the assets of the Yoplait brand, Binggrae Yoplait is required to put continuous efforts into marketing to lead the market.

Consumer evaluation of the innovation types and the different roles of customer participation in the development of new products for service innovation (서비스 혁신을 위한 신제품 개발 과정에서 혁신 유형과 고객 참여 역할에 대한 소비자의 인식 )

  • This study investigates consumers' perceptions when customers participate in the process of innovating new products or new services essential to companies in the era of the 4th industrial revolution. Specifically, this study investigates how consumers' product evaluation varies depending on two types of innovation for a company's new product development (technology-based innovation and market-based innovation) and two customer roles (as information providers and as co-developers) participated in the development process. The research questions are as follows: As technology-based innovation and market-based innovation are different types of innovations, will consumers' product evaluation vary depending on these different types of innovation? If customers participate in the development process of a new product reflecting each innovation, how will the information that the customer participated be perceived by other consumers? In addition, this customer participation method can serve as an information provider and a co-developer, and will consumers' evaluation of new products vary depending on this role? As a result of verifying the hypothesis using an experimental method, it shows that consumers' product evaluation differs significantly depending on the role of customers who participated in the process of developing new product development process. In other words, the results indicate that the case where customers participated as market information providers in the process of developing new products is more favorable to the new product evaluation than the case where they participated as co-developers of the new products. In addition, there is an interaction effect between the type of product innovation and the role of customer participation. To be specific, when a product reflecting technological innovation is released, there is no difference in consumers' product evaluation according to the roles of two different customer participations. However, when a market-based innovation product is released, product evaluation is more favorably perceived when customers participated as information providers than they were involved in the new product development process as co-developers. This study is of theoretical significance in that it distinguishes each type of innovation and verified how other consumers' perceptions vary depending on their role when customers participate in the innovation process. Finally, limitations and future study directions are suggested along with practical implications.

  • The Stage-Gate is a market-oriented model that aims to launch new products on the market. Therefore, it can be appropriately introduced and applied to the operation and management of NSSCP, which is undergoing demonstration projects for Daegu and Siheung. In addition, smart cities have the characteristics of convergence and complex among various innovative technologies. When the Stage-Gate is introduced, the performance can be managed centering on the outcomes for each research institution. Therefore, the NSSCP is applying the Stage-Gate for the first time among national R&D projects to improve the quality of the research results and to demonstrate and commercialize them successfully. This paper reviews the operation results of the 1st and 2nd years when the State-Gate was introduced and analyzes the opinions of an R&D management agency, research institutes, and gate reviewers to present the supplementary and improvements for applying to the evaluation process for the next year. When operating the Stage-Gate by optimizing the situation for each project and being wary of inefficiencies caused by the rigid operation, it is expected that flexible evaluation for each outcome will be possible according to the convergence characteristics of smart cities.

연구개발 집약도에 따른 개방형 혁신과 기업성과간의 관계 연구

  • Chesbrough는 개방형 혁신이 촉진될수록 기업의 성과가 높아진다고 밝힌 바 있다. (Chesbrough 2006). 그리고 Laursen 외 (2006)는 영국 제조업 분석에서 기술집약도와 개방형 혁신의 폭이 역U형의 관계가 있다고 실증분석을 통해서 밝힌 바 있다. 그리고 윤진효 외(2008)도 한국의 성서 및 구미 클러스터 기업들을 대상으로 한 개방형 혁신과 성과간의 관계 실증분석에서 일반적으로 개방형 혁신이 커질수록 기업성과가 향상된다고 밝힌 바 있다. 그런데 Laursen 외 (2006)의 Working paper나 윤진효 외(2008) 모두 OECD 등의 기준에 의해 기업의 개방형 혁신과 성과간의 관계가 첨단산업과 비첨단산업별로 상이하게 나타나고 있음을 밝힌 바 있다. 본 연구는 부정확한 산업분류를 정교화하여 연구개발 집약도별로 기업군을 나누고 동 군별로 개방형 혁신과 기업성과간의 관계를 한국 기업들을 대상으로 실증 분석하고자 한다. 가설검증을 통해서 연구개발 집약도에 따라, 개방형 혁신과 기업성과간의 관계를 규명하고 기업의 개방형 기술혁신 전략을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 현대 사회에서 급속한 기술의 발전으로 인해 휴대용 전자제품의 기능이 점차 발달하고 있고, 그에 따른 새로운 제품 출시 주기도 점점 짧아지고 있다. 이로 인하여 소비자의 성향을 빠르게 분석하는 것이 무엇 보다도 중요시 되었고, 이를 위해 빠르고 쉽게 소비자성향을 분석할 수 있는 설문조사시스템이 보편적으로 사용 되고 있다. 하지만 기존 온라인 설문조사시스템은 설문을 쉽게 생성하고 더 정확한 결과를 얻는 것에만 초점을 맞추고 있기 때문에 빠르게 변화하는 휴대용제품에 기존 설문조사시스템을 이용할 경우 많은 노력과 비용이 들게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 한번 설문을 생성하면, 신제품의 추가가 있거나 제품의 정보에 변화가 있을 때 마다 설문이 자동으로 변형되도록 설계하였다. 그리고 모든 소비자에게 개인화된 설문이 자동으로 생성되어 보여 지도록 설계하였다.
