This study aims to develop metadata elements and vocabularies of 'Chosunsibo' issued in Korea during the Japanese colonial era. Despite the vast amount and historical values, newspaper articles in Chosunsibo are still unsearchable and difficult to access. To the end, this study includes as follows: (1) analyzed the DB construction and metadata elements of newspapers issued in Korea during the Japanese colonial, (2) investigated the morphological characteristics and content of 'Chosunsibo', and (3) derived metadata elements, encoding schemes and controlled vocabularies for 'Chosunsibo'. The final draft was verified in three methods: (1) review and revise through data input tests, (2) consulting by a DB expert agency, and (3) drawing up of crosswalks with metadata standards and related cases. The scope of this study is to design the metadata schema of the historical newspaper 'Chosunsibo' and develop a data input system based on that schema.

The Matter of vmbulary control for newspaper database has been studied for a long time. These efforts hadn't made any good achievements until JOINS Thesaurus system developed. The purpx of this paper is to introduce JOINS Thesaurus whch the Jcong-ang Daily News has developed for the first time in Korea. In addtion to that, thls study is corn- the efficiency of Auto-Indexing system with postcontrolled indexlng system for newspaper database on thesaurus.

In order to read newspaper articles, the use of paper newspapers is decreasing and smartphone are increasingly used. As a result, the number of news apps continues to increase. Many of the news apps in the Android Play Store fall into two categories. The first is an app that is developed by a specific newspaper company and distributes only the articles of the newspaper company. The rest is an app that shows a list of newspapers and shows the homepage when a newspaper is selected. In this paper, we have designed and implemented a Real-Time News app for collecting articles from many newspapers and providing them in real time. Newspapers provide up-to-date articles with RSS feeds. The server program stores them in the DB, and transmits the articles requested in the Real-Time News app in real time. In order to see the latest news, it is possible to collect the articles of each newspaper without visiting the websites of the various newspapers, and it is possible to reduce the mobile data usage used to access each website.

요즘 우리는 정보의 바다라고 불리는 인터네트 때문에 엄청난 변화의 소용돌이에 휩싸이고 있다. 이 인터네트 세계에는 밤낮없이 새로운 정보와 다양한 사고가 넘쳐나고 있으며, 인터네트를 이용한 정보확산은 국가간 국경을 무색하게 하고 있으며 이로 인해 새로운 서비스 사업 기회가 펼쳐지고 있다. 인터네트 서비스의 발전 단계를 살펴보면 인터네트 접속서비스를 위한 Infra 구축단계 그리고 인터네트 Web 구축 제공 사업 등 발전 단계를 거쳐 전자상거래, 그룹웨어 각종 응용서비스 등 컨텐트 (Contenr) 사업의 안정화 단계로 나눌 수 있는데 국내의 경우 모든 단계가 동시에 급성장하고 있다. Web DB의 유료화는 컨텐트 사업 활성화를 위해서는 필수적인 사항으로 이 분야의 기술 개발은 매우 중요한 의미를 가지고 있다. 본 원고에서는 응용서비스의 기본이 되는 Web DB의 유료화 흐름과 최근 한국통신에서 개발되고 있는 유료화 정책인 웹인포샵 서비스에 대한 일부 기술적인 내용을 서술하고자 한다. 본 원고의 일부는 주요 정보통신 신문의 내용을 인용하였음을 밝혀 둔다.

분 논문은 카메라 장비와 마커, DB를 이용하여 문자의 색감과 모음, 자음을 인식하여 문자에 해당되는 이미지 및 영상을 HMD 및 모니터, 가정에서 사용하는 화상 카메라 등을 이용하여 보다 구체적인 정보를 전달할 수 있게 해준다. DB에는 각 텍스트의 모음과 자음에 관한 텍스트가 등록되어 있으며, 각각의 색과 텍스트를 비교하여 해당하는 이미지를 출력하게 된다. 기존의 증강현실 기법은 해당 마크에 관한 패턴을 인식하여 그에 해당하는 이미지 및 영상을 출력하는데, DB를 이용한 문자인식을 사용할 경우 사용자에게 텍스트를 인식하여 연관된 많은 정보를 제공할 수 있게 된다. 제안된 인터페이스는 다양한 모습을 어려 시야를 통해 기존의 카탈로그보다 사용자의 접근성을 향상시키고, 미리 정의된 DB에 접근하여 해당 문자에 관한 여러가지 정보를 사용자에게 전달한다. 여러 전달 매체를 이용, 가상현실 및 증강현실 등을 다양한 카탈로그 뿐만 아니라 교육 및 신문 잡지, 광고 등 문자가 등장하는 여러 분야에 활용이 가능하다.

Speech database is an indispensable part of speech research. Speech database is necessary to use in speech research and development processes, and to evaluate performances of various speech-processing systems. To use speech database for common purpose, it is necessary to design utterance list that has all the possible phonetical events in minimal number of words, and is independent of tasks. To meet those restrictions this paper extracts PBW set from large text corpus. Speech database that was constructed using PBW set for utterance list and its properties are described in this paper.

Aside from serving as a body that monitors and criticizes the government through reviews and comments on public issues, newspapers can also form and spread public opinion. Metadata contains certain picture records and, in the case of local newspapers, the former is an important means of obtaining locality. Furthermore, advertising in newspapers and the way of editing in newspapers can be viewed as a representation of the times. For the value of archiving in newspapers when a documentation strategy is established, the newspaper is considered as a top priority that should be collected. A newspaper archive that will handle preservation and management carries huge significance in many ways. Journalists use them to write articles while scholars can use a newspaper archive for academic purposes. Also, the NIE is a type of a practical usage of such an archive. In the digital age, the newspaper archive has an important position because it is located in the core of MAM, which integrates and manages the media asset. With this, there are prospects that an online archive will perform a new role in the production of newspapers and the management of publishing companies. Korea Integrated News Database System (KINDS), an integrated article database, began its service in 1991, whereas Naver operates an online newspaper archive called "News Library." Initially, KINDS received an enthusiastic response, but nowadays, the utilization ratio continues to decrease because of the omission of some major newspapers, such as Chosun Ilbo and JoongAng Ilbo, and the numerous user interface problems it poses. Despite these, however, the system still presents several advantages. For example, it is easy to access freely because there is a set budget for the public, and accessibility to local papers is simple. A national library consistently carries out the digitalization of time-honored newspapers. In addition, individual newspaper companies have also started the service, but it is not enough for such to be labeled an archive. In the United States (US), "Chronicling America"-led by the Library of Congress with funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities-is in the process of digitalizing historic newspapers. The universities of each state and historical association provide funds to their public library for the digitalization of local papers. In the United Kingdom, the British Library is constructing an online newspaper archive called "The British Newspaper Archive," but unlike the one in the US, this service charges a usage fee. The Joint Information Systems Committee has also invested in "The British Newspaper Archive," and its construction is still ongoing. ProQuest Archiver and Gale NewsVault are the representative platforms because of their efficiency and how they have established the standardization of newspapers. Now, it is time to change the way we understand things, and a drastic investment is required to improve the domestic and international online newspaper archive.

지상파 디지털방송에서는 기존 아날로그 방송에 비해 뛰어난 품질의 영상/음성 서비스가 제공될 뿐만 아니라 신문이나 잡지에서 볼 수 있었던 프로그램 정보를 TV 화면상에서 바로 받아 볼 수 있는 EPG(Electronic Program Guide) 서비스와 각종 데이터 서비스도 함께 제공된다. 이러한 EPG 정보와 함께 수신기에 필요한 각종 시스템 정보를 수신측에 전달하려면 ATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee)의 PSIP(Program and System Information Protocol)에 따라 정보를 가공하는 장비가 필요하며 데이터 서비스를 위해서는 ATSC A/90의 송출 규격에 따라 데이터를 가공하는 장비가 필요하게 된다. 데이터서버 시스템은 PSIP의 생성과 데이터의 스케줄링을 담당하는 Data/PSIP 제어기와 데이터를 ATSC 송출 규격에 맞추어 가공하는 데이터 인젝터로 구성된다. 데이터서버 시스템은 방송 편성 정보를 담고 있는 KBS 편성 DB, 각종 콘텐츠를 관리하는 콘텐츠 DB, 그리고 실시간 독립정보 서비스를 제공하기 위한 실시간 어플리케이션 에이전트와의 인터페이스를 갖추고 있다. Data/PSIP 제어기와 데이터 인젝터에서는 편성된 PSIP 정보와 콘텐츠 데이터를 ASI(Asynchronous Serial Interface) 인터페이스를 통해서 다중화기로 전송한다. 다중화기는 PSIP 정보와 인코딩된 데이터 정보를 A/V TS(Transport Stream)와 함께 다중화하여 최종적으로 디지털 데이터 방송용 TS를 출력시킨다.

우리는 정보를 찾기 위해서 신문, 도서관보다는 인터넷을 먼저 검색한다. 이와 같은 사회환경에서 불건전 정보 증가는 이전 사회에서 인식하지 못했던 문제를 야기하고 있다. 그 대상이 청소년뿐만 아니라 아동까지 확대되고 있어, 문제는 더욱 더 커질 수 있다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 연령별 또는 등급별 웹브라우저를 통하여 접근할 수 있는 범위를 제한하여 전문 검색 에이전트를 통하여 검색과 카테고리 분류를 하여 DB구축을 제안하고, 네트워크의 데이터링크 계층에 속하는 NIC(Network Interface Card)의 드라이버 수준에서 건전 사이트만을 접근이 가능하도록 폐쇄형 브라우저 시스템의 설계 및 구현방법에 대해서 논의한다.
