The objectives of this study are to determine the full extent of the negative media reports and to broaden public awareness through content analysis. Samples of this study are news reports on vibrio on three major broadcasting companies such as MBC, KBS and SBS and three major national newspapers such as Chosun daily, Joongang daily and Donga daily in Korea for 5 years from January 1st in 2000 to December 31st in 2004. Total 628 cases were searched through from the web sites of fore mentioned TV and newspaper companies. It is highly advised to adhere to the proven fact as much as possible and full and thorough research on the outcome should be sought by media before they reach to the public.

`일본 대지진이 우리 설비건설업계와 무슨 관련이 있나?' 하고 의아해하는 분이 있을 것이다. 신문방송학 이론 중 뉴스 가치(News Value)라는 것이 있다. 언론에서 뉴스를 선택하는 기준인데, 그 기준 중에 근접성(Proximity)이라는 것이 있다. 쉽게 이야기해서 다른 나라에서 사람 수만 명 죽은 것보다 내 집에 강아지 죽은 것이 더 큰 뉴스거리가 된다는 것이다. 그런 면에서 일본 대지진은 우리 설비업계에 이슈 조차되지 않을 수 있다. 그런데 그게 꼭 그렇지만은 않다. 잠시 후 좀 더 살펴보자.

This study reviewed academic research related to the cyberethics in the field of humanities and social sciences. The most active and vibrant field of cyberethics is Pedagogy, followed by Law, communication, philosophy, social welfare science, sociology, business administration and psychology. In the field of cyberethics every major has different research themes. The research trend of cyberethics does not reflect distinctiveness of cyberspace, remaining in previous ethical philosophy. Further, it just establishes abstract morality. In the overall research of cyberethics lacks recognition of information human rights, therefore, it shows little tendency to living ethics. Moral recognition based on information human rights should be emphasized, and multi-disciplinary study is requested for future studies.

This study explored the research trends on Twitter in Korea by informetric methods. All 539 articles on Twitter published from 2009 to the April of 2014 were obtained from the KCI. Only article titles, abstracts, and keywords by authors were used in analysis. Academic journals in many different disciplines where Twitter articles were produced were analysed by profiling, and then, the subject areas of researches on Twitter were analysed by co-word analysis. The results of this study showed that Twitter-related papers were published in as many as 53 disciplines with journalism, business administration, and computer science to be core fields. It was also found that the core subject areas are political issues and business.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the association among the subject areas of big data research papers. The subject group of the units of analysis was extracted by applying co-citation networks, and the rules of association were analyzed using Apriori algorithm of R program, and visualized using the arulesViz package of R program. As a result of the study, 22 subject areas were extracted and these subjects were divided into three clusters. As a result of analyzing the association type of the subject, it was classified into 'professional type', 'general type', 'expanded type' depending on the complexity of association. The professional type included library and information science and journalism. The general type included politics & diplomacy, trade, and tourism. The expanded types included other humanities, general social sciences, and general tourism. This association networks show a tendency to cite other subject areas that are relevant when citing a subject field, and the library should consider services that use the association for academic information services.

This study analyzes the factors which have influence on Internet news satisfaction and difference of Internet news categorical satisfaction based on the survey for the satisfaction of users towards Internet news site. As a result, this analysis suggests important points that have to be considered in producing and managing Internet news site and the position of internet news categorical satisfaction today. This analysis is particular because there has not been any study on testing difference between categorical satisfactions.

This study aims to investigate the research trends of disaster in Korea through a bibliometric analysis. To do that, it analyzed 772 scholarly articles published from 2002 to 2016, retrieved from KCI (Korean Citation Index) database. For analysis, discipline profiling analysis, journal profiling analysis, and co-word analysis methods were used. The study found that the number of scholarly articles on disaster has increased, especially after Sewol ferry disaster occurred in 2004. The major discipline areas were identified as 'policy sciences/public administration' area, 'engineering' area, 'GIS/telecommunication' area, and 'medical/humanities/social sciences' area. In terms of time series, the proportion of scholarly articles published in 'policy sciences/public administration' area has decreased since 2014 and at the same time, discipline areas have been diversified including law, medical, and journalism.

한국출판연구소(이사장 윤청광)는 지난해 12월 4일 ‘2002 한국출판평론.학술상’ 수상자를 선정.발표하였다. 이번 한국출판학술상은 2001년 9월 이후 발표된 관련 논문이나 단행본을 대상으로 수상자를 선정한 것으로, 반갑게도 한국출판학술상 우수상 수상자 명단에 국립중앙도서관 자료조직과의 김미해 사서가 포함되어 있었다. 김미해사서는 2002년 2월 중앙대학교 신문방송대학원 출판잡지전공 석사졸업논문인 ‘국제표준자료번호(ISBN/ISSN)의 활용도 제고방안 연구’를 제출하여 수사의 영광을 안았다. 이번 김미해 사서의 수상을 계기로 사서들도 도서관과 밀접한 관련이 있는 출판정책에 관심을 가지고, 또한 출판계와 도서관계의 유기적인 협력관계를 통해 21세기 지식정보화 사회의 인프라 구축을 굳건히 할 계기가 되기를 바라면서 인터뷰를 하였다.

This study examines mutual perceptions between general public and nuclear plant employees on understanding nuclear policy communication applying the co-orientation model. The total of 414 responses were analyzed including 211 of the general public and 203 of plant employees. Results indicate that agreement between general public and plant employees is relatively high, in that general public tends to have negative evaluation to nuclear policy communication, but plant employees tends to have positive one. In terms of congruence, general public perceive that plant employees might have more positive evaluation than themselves, and nuclear plant employees perceive that general public might have more negative evaluation than themselves. Finally, in terms of accuracy, general public accurately estimate how nuclear plant employees perceive on policy communication, whereas nuclear plant employees unaccurately estimate how general public perceive on policy communication.

The purpose of this study is to find out what type of skip button used in forced exposure advertising is the most positive to the users. The four types of skip buttons were produced for the experiment and tested by survey and eye tracker to reveal the effects of the skip buttons on perceived intrusion, advertising attention, attitude toward advertising, and memory consisting of recall and recognition. Out of 80 participants, 20 were randomly assigned to the specific type of skip button group. The results showed that there is no statistical difference in advertising attention, perceived intrusiveness and attitude toward advertising. However, the recall and recognition rate are the highest in the static text type and kinetic text, product image, and default follow statistically. This study has implications for using skip buttons as a major variable for inventory of TrueView advertising effects and suggests that the amount of information in the image is critical processed by users within very short time.
