An Optimal Investment Planning Model for Improving the Reliability of Layered Air Defense System based on a Network Model (다층 대공방어 체계의 신뢰도 향상을 위한 네트워크 모델 기반의 최적 투자 계획 모델)

  • This study considers an optimal investment planning for improving survivability from an air threat in the layered air defense system. To establish an optimization model, we first represent the layered air defense system as a network model, and then, present two optimization models minimizing the failure probability of counteracting an air threat subject to budget limitation, in which one deals with whether to invest and the other enables continuous investment on the subset of nodes. Nonlinear objective functions are linearized using log function, and we suggest dynamic programming algorithm and linear programing for solving the proposed models. After designing a layered air defense system based on a virtual scenario, we solve the two optimization problems and analyze the corresponding optimal solutions. This provides necessity and an approach for an effective investment planning of the layered air defense system.

New Approaches for Calibrating Material Factors of Reinforced Concrete Members in Korean Highway Bridge Design Code (Limit State Design) and Reliability Analysis (도로교설계기준(한계상태설계법)의 콘크리트부재 설계를 위한 재료계수 결정법 및 신뢰도 분석)

  • This paper brings up fallacy of material factors specified for the design of concrete members in the current Korean limit state design code for highway bridges, and proposes new material factors based on a robust optimization scheme to overcome the fallacy. It is shown that the current load factors in the code and the proposed material factors lead to a much higher reliability index than the target index. The load factors are adjusted to yield the target reliability index using the inverse reliability analysis. A reliability-based approach following the basic concept of Eurocode is formulated to determine material factors as well as load factors. The load-material factors obtained by the proposed reliability-based approach yield a lower reliability level than the target index. Drawbacks of the basic concept of Eurocode are discussed. It is pointed out that differences in the uncertainties between materials and members may cause the lower reliability index of concrete member than the target.

  • 본 논문에서는 효율적인 통신 시스템용 미들웨어 개발을 위한 3가지 방법을 나타낸다 첫째, 동일 호스트상에서 메시지 전달 오버헤드를 최적화하기 위해 공유 메모리 기반의 연동 프로토콜을 제시한다. 둘째, 미들웨어 플랫폼의 신뢰성을 향상시키기 위해, 구현 객체 데이터베이스를 이용한 네이밍 서비스 서버 구현 방법을 제시한다. 셋째, 시스템이 운용중인 상태에서 새로운 서비스 모듈의 추가나 기존 모듈의 기능 변경이 필요한 경우 서비스를 중단하지 않고 컴퍼넌트를 실행 중에 동적으로 재구성하는 방안을 제시한다. 이를 통해 통신 시스템용 미들웨어의 성능이 향상됨을 나타냈다.

  • 본 연구는 공중보건 비상사태 발생 시 시민들의 위기의식과 신뢰 간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 위기의 영향은 개인, 사회, 국가에 따라 다르다. 정부의 위기관리는 특히 '공공성'이라는 측면에서 비정부기구와 매우 다른 것이 국민의 책임의식을 해소하기 위한 관료제를 수반하기 때문이다. 전염병 확산 단계에서 사람들은 부정적인 감정에 쉽게 빠지게 되며, 중대사고 발생 후 대중의 부정적인 감정을 줄이는 것은 중대사고로 인한 조직의 피해를 효과적으로 줄일 수 있다. 코로나19 팬데믹 상황에서 시민들의 위기의식이 신뢰에 미치는 영향을 기반으로 공중보건 위기상황의 관리를 최적화하고 시민들의 정신건강을 증진 시킬 수 있는 방안에 대한 지침을 제공해야 한다고 판단 된다.

Study of Reliability-Based Robust Design Optimization Using Conservative Approximate Meta-Models (보수적 근사모델을 적용한 신뢰성 기반 강건 최적설계 방법)

  • The methods of robust design optimization (RDO) and reliability-based robust design optimization (RBRDO) were implemented in the present study. RBRDO is an integrated method that accounts for the design robustness of an objective function and for the reliability of constraints. The objective function in RBRDO is expressed in terms of the mean and standard deviation of an original objective function. Thus, a multi-objective formulation is employed. The regressive approximate models are generated via the moving least squares method (MLSM) and constraint-feasible moving least squares method (CF-MLSM), which make it possible to realize the feasibility regardless of the multimodality/nonlinearity of the constraint function during the approximate optimization processes. The regression model based RBRDO is newly devised and its numerical characteristics are explored using the design of an actively controlled ten bar truss structure.

  • Recently, our country is to be diversification a leisure activity and tourism form by income level rise and traffic circumstance improvement. But Basic facilities expropriated these leisure activities have built an insufficient condition. Also, Building a facility, Introduced tools and materials import the whole quantity. Therefore, In this paper, it builds a tension mooring unit to use EPDM and Kevlar R29 and it develops a domestic marine circumstance through reliability based on robust design. It contributes to marine leisure culture activation and industry development.

Improving Phoneme Recognition based on Gaussian Model using Bhattacharyya Distance Measurement Method (바타챠랴 거리 측정 기법을 사용한 가우시안 모델 기반 음소 인식 향상)

  • Previous existing vocabulary recognition programs calculate general vector values from a database, so they can not process phonemes that form during a search. And because they can not create a model for phoneme data, the accuracy of the Gaussian model can not secure. Therefore, in this paper, we recommend use of the Bhattacharyya distance measurement method based on the features of the phoneme-thus allowing us to improve the recognition rate by picking up accurate phonemes and minimizing recognition of similar and erroneous phonemes. We test the Gaussian model optimization through share continuous probability distribution, and we confirm the heighten recognition rate. The Bhattacharyya distance measurement method suggest in this paper reflect an average 1.9% improvement in performance compare to previous methods, and it has average 2.9% improvement based on reliability in recognition rate.

  • Generally, the network topology design problem is characterized as a kind of NP-hard combinatorial optimization problem, which is difficult to solve with the classical method because it has exponentially increasing complexity with the augmented network size. In this paper, we propose the efficient approach with two phase that is comprised of evolutionary computation approach based on Prufer number(PN), which can efficiently represent the spanning tree, and a heuristic method considering 2-connectivity, to solve the highly reliable network topology design problem minimizing the construction cost subject to network reliability: firstly, to find the spanning tree, genetic algorithm that is the most widely known type of evolutionary computation approach, is used; secondly, a heuristic method is employed, in order to search the optimal network topology based on the spanning tree obtained in the first Phase, considering 2-connectivity. Lastly, the performance of our approach is provided from the results of numerical examples.

Data Volume based Trust Metric for Blockchain Networks (블록체인 망을 위한 데이터 볼륨 기반 신뢰 메트릭)

  • With the appearance of Bitcoin that builds peer-to-peer networks for transaction of digital content and issuance of cryptocurrency, lots of blockchain networks have been developed to improve transaction performance. Recently, Joseph Lubin discussed Decentralization Transaction per Second (DTPS) against alleviating the value of biased TPS. However, this Lubin's trust model did not enough consider a security issue in scalability trilemma. Accordingly, we proposed a trust metric based on blockchain size, stale block rate, and average block size, using a sigmoid function and convex optimization. Via numerical analysis, we presented the optimal blockchain size of popular blockchain networks and then compared the proposed trust metric with the Lubin's trust model. Besides, Bitcoin based blockchain networks such as Litecoin were superior to Ethereum for trust satisfaction and data volume.

  • VANET(Vehicular Ad-hoc Network)은 노드를 차량으로 가정하는 개념의 MANET(Mobile Ad-hoc Network)로서 노드의 빠른 이동으로 인해 급격한 토폴로지의 변화가 일어난다. 하지만 차량 노드의 이동은 도로 상에서 제한되어 있기 때문에 토폴로지에 대한 상대적인 예측 가능성을 가지고 있다. 이는 교통이 혼잡한 도로 환경에서 그리디 기법을 이용하여 다음 홉을 결정할 때 보다 높은 정확성을 제공할 수 있어 경유 노드의 수와 포워딩 실패를 최소화한다. 본 논문은 위기 정보와 운전 시스템 정보를 기반으로 하는 차량 간 통신 라우팅 최적화 기법을 제안하고 기존의 GPSR(Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing) 기법과 SAR(Spatial Aware Routing) 기법과의 비교를 통해 효율성과 신뢰성의 향상을 증명하였다.
