Distribution of Vascular Plants in Youngjongdo and Yongyudo (영종도와 용유도 일대의 식물상)

  • Vascular plant surveys in Iss. Youngjongdo and Yongyudo, Incheon were conducted 6 times from May to October 2009 and July 2011. The vascular plants inventoried during the surveys were 644 taxa in total; 11 formas, 73 varieties, 4 subspecies, 556 species, 352 genera and 98 families. Among them, 250 taxa were newly found from the survey areas, including Cnidium japonicum Miq., Argusia sibirica (L.) Dandy, Breea setosa (Willd.) Kitam., Dryopteris erythrosora (D. C. Eaton) Kuntze and Dryopteris nipponensis Koidzumi. In the case of dormancy form, hemicryptophytes were most abundant by 37.1%. Six taxa of Korean endemic plants and nine Korean rare plants were also newly recognized along with 45 taxa of notable plants of regional flora announced by the Ministry of Environment. The naturalized plants were 95 taxa, and the Urbanization Index of the survey areas was 29.6%.

  • This study presents the flora of vascular plants on Oenarodo Island, located in Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, Korea. A list of vascular plants was created based on the herbarium of the National Biological Resource Center (NIBR) and the Daejeon University Biology Department herbarium (TUT) collected from field surveys. Based on specimens collected in the field during 21 separate field trips amounting to a total of 21 days conducted between March of 2015 and October of 2017, there are 587 taxa on Oenarodo Island, consisting of 122 families, 364 genera, 538 species, six subspecies, 41 varieties, and two forms. Among the collected plants, those endangered were four taxa, those endemic were 14 taxa, floristic regional indicator plants specially designated by the Ministry of the Environment amounted to 137 taxa, and those naturalized amounted to 46 taxa.

  • 한라산 동부지역에 위치한 삼다수 숲길은 삼나무, 편백나무, 곰솔림과 낙엽활엽수림으로 이루어진 숲이다. 현재 삼다수 숲길이 조성되어 관리되고 있으나 식물에 대한 정보가 거의 없는 실정으로 식물상을 조사하여 관리의 기초자료로 삼고자 수행하였다. 조사는 2018년 03월부터 2018년 08월까지 총 10회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 조사 결과 삼다수 숲길에 생육하는 관속식물은 86과 183속 255종 11변종 4품종의 총 270분류군으로 조사되었다. 양치식물 12과 18속 30종 1변종 31분류군, 나자식물 2과 3속 3종 3분류군, 피자식물 72과 162속 222종 10변종 4품종으로 쌍자엽식물 64과 129속 176종 9변종 3품종 188분류군, 단자엽식물 8과 33속 46종 1변종 1품종 48분류군으로 구성되었다 이 중 한국특산식물은 5종, 제주특산식물 3종 외래식물이 13종 채집되었다. 식물구계학적특정식물은 5등급 3종, 4등급 11종, 3등급 23종, 2등급 12종, 1등급 26종 총 75종이 발견되었다. 국가 적색목록 식물은 위기(EN) 1분류군, 준위협(NT) 3분류군, 관심대상(LC) 4분류군, 미평가(NE) 2분류군이 조사되었다. 조사된 식물들의 휴면형은 H형이 62분류군으로 가장 많이 나타났고, MM형 40분류군, M형 31분류군, N형 29분류군, E형 3분류군, Ch형 22분류군, G형 51분류군, HH형 4분류군, Th형 28분류군으로 나타났다. 지하기관형은 R1 2분류군, R2 23분류군, R3 71분류군, R4 18분류군, R5 156분류군으로 R5가 57.85로 가장 높은 비율로 분포하였다. 산포기관형은 D4가 47.4%로 가장 높은 비율이였으며, 생육형(Growth form)은 직립형(e)이 53%로 가장 높은 비율로 분포 하였다.

Vascular Plant of Bakdal Mountain and Myeongbong Mountain in Paju-city Gyeonggi-do (경기도 파주시 박달산·명봉산의 관속식물상)

  • In this study, we conducted a flora survey at Mt.Bakdal (363m) and Mt. Myeongbong (245.3m) in Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. A total of 405 taxa, including 2 forms, 32 varieties, 8 subspecies, 363 species, 261 genera, and 87 families, were surveyed in the two mountain areas. The ferns were identified as 12 taxa from 6 families, the gymnosperms as 6 taxa from 2 families, the dicotyledonous plants as 290 taxa from 70 families, and the monocotyledonous plants as 97 taxa from 9 families. The remarkable plants included 8 taxa of the Korean endemic plants, which were Populus tomentiglandulosa, Salix koriyanagi, Clematis brachyura, Viola seoulensis, Forsythia koreana, Paulownia coreana, Weigela subsessilis, and Hemerocallis hakuunensis, and 3 taxa of the rare and endangered plants as designated by the Korea Forest Service, including Tylophora floribunda as Vulnerable (VU) species, and Viola albida and Chionanthus retusus as Least Concern (LC) species. The invasive alien plants were 35 taxa, including Rumex crispus, Phytolacca americana, Cerastium glomeratum, Chenopodium album, Chenopodium ficifolium, Lepidium virginicum, Amorpha fruticosa, Robinia pseudoacacia, and Trifolium repens, accounting for 8.5 percent of the 405 taxa of the surveyed plants. We intend to further identify plants through the studies on unsurveyed areas in the western part of the DMZ, identify the native habitats of rare and specialty plants, and use them as basic data for managing ecosystem-disturbing plants.

고등식물의 생장에 미치는 납의 영향

  • 애기장대에 납을 농도별로 처리하였을 때 식물의 생장과 종자 발아에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 환경부고시 오염물질 배출기준치를 기준 농도로 하고 이보다 10배 및 50배 높은 농도의 납을 각각 처리한 애기장대의 줄기생장을 조사한 결과 오염물질 배출기준 농도와 이보다 10배 높은 농도에서는 줄기 생장이 정상식물보다 약 18%정도 감소되었다. 또한 오염물질 배출기준 농도보다 50배 높은 농도를 처리한 식물에서는 정상식물보다 약 41% 줄기생장이 감소하였다. 3가지 농도의 납을 애기장대에 처리한 후 식물의 뿌리 생장을 조사한 결과 오염물질 배출기준농도를 처리한 식물의 뿌리 생장은 정상식물과 거의 유사하였으나 오염물질 배출기준농도의 10배 이상이 되면 뿌리 생장이 전혀 되지 않았다. 3가지 농도의 납을 처리한 배지에서 애기장대의 종자 발아율을 측정한 결과 오염물질 배출기준 농도와 이보다 10배 높은 농도를 처리한 배지에서는 종자 발아율이 100%로 나타나 정상배지에서의 발아율과 차이가 나타나지 않았으나 오염물질 배출기준 농도보다 50배 높은 농도를 처리한 배지에서는 발아율이 0%로 나타나 종자 발아가 전혀 되지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 토양 속에 침적된 납은 애기장대의 생장과 종자 발아에 영향을 미치어 줄기 및 뿌리의 생장을 감소시켰으며, 또한 종자 발아에도 매우 치명적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 생각된다.

Floristic study of Mt. Baekasan (백아산의 식물상)

  • This study presents a discussion of vascular plants found on Mt. Baekasan, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, based on specimens collected during 32 separate field trips amounting to a total of 36 days conducted between May of 2011 and October of 2016. There are 651 taxa on Mt. Baekasan, consisting of 109 families, 366 genera, 576 species, 5 subspecies, and 70 varieties. Twelve plants endemic to Korea were found, including Cirsium setidens (Dunn) Nakai and Scutellaria insignis Nakai. There are a total of 61 taxa of floristic regional indicator plants specially designated by the Ministry of the Environment. Rare plants such as Jeffersonia dubia (Maxim.) Benth. & Hook. ex Baker & S. Moore in Mt. Baekasan are 17 taxa in total, and red list plants number 8 taxa, including Cremastra variabilis (Blume) Nakai ex Shibata. Nine calciferous plants were found, including Asplenium ruprechtii Sa. Kurata, Ulmus davidiana var. japonica (Rehder) Nakai and Morus cathayana Hemsl. Thirty-three naturalized plants were also found, including Ambrosia artemisiifolia and Rumex acetosella.

Flora and Ecological Characteristics of Hydrophytes in the Littoral Zone of Paldang Reservior (팔당호 연안생태계의 수생식물상과 생태적 특성)

  • To investigate the flora and vegetation structure of vascular plants in the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir, from April, 2003 to April 2004, nine sampling sites were selected. Along the Paldang Reservoir, 128 taxa, consisted of 51 families and 96 genera, were identified, among them, hydrophytes were confirmed as 38 taxa, which was comprised 29.7% to total taxa, whereas hygrophytes were 44 taxa and terrestrial plants were 46 taxa. Emergent hydrophytes consists of 21 taxa, including Phragmites australis and Typha angustifolia, and next, submerged hydrophytes were 8 taxa. However, the kinds and vegetation area of submerged hydorphytes were reduced compared to previous studies. In the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir, the aquatic vegetation was widely developed near Dumulmori, Yangsuri, and Kwangdong Bridge, downstream of Kyungancheon. The average number of hydrophyte per sampling sites were 2.7 taxa, whereas hygrophytes were 2.5, and land plants were 1.8. In addition, the hydrophytes in the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir showed the typical vertical zonation pattern like a natural swamp. These results mean that the littoral zone of Paldang Reservoir has the typical characteristics of aquatic plant ecosystem.

Floristic Inventory and Its Distribution Characteristics of Algific Talus Slope in a Specific Area of Forest Biodiversity in South Korea (산림 생물다양성 특정지역 풍혈지의 식물목록 및 그 분포 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 산림 생물다양성 특정 지역인 풍혈지 25개소를 대상으로 기후변화에 취약한 북방계식물 등의 현지내·외 보전 대책 수립과 풍혈지의 산림유전자원보호지역 지정을 위한 기초자료로 활용하기 위하여 조사를 수행하였다. 조사는 풍혈의 바람이 나오는 핵심지역 10m 를 중심으로 동서남북으로 각각 50m 범위에서 실시하였고, 2016년 4월부터 2021년 11월까지 계절별로 각 1~2회씩 수행하였다. 한국의 25개소 풍혈지의 관속식물상은 125과 486속 947종 23아종 75변종 7품종 총 1,052분류군으로 확인되었다. 조사 면적은 최대 0.09km2로 우리나라 산림면적 62,860km2의 0.00014%에 불과하지만, 우리나라 관속식물의 4,724종 중에서 22.27%가 출현하였다. 이는 풍혈지역이 산림생물다양성의 가치가 매우 높은 지역임을 확인해 볼 수 있다. 특기할만한 식물은 멸종위기야생생물이 산작약, 으름난초 등 6분류군, 희귀식물과 적색목록은 월귤, 개병풍 등 67분류군, 한반도 특산식물과 고유종이 병꽃나무 등 58분류군, 식물구계학적 특정식물은 개느삼 등 총 317분류군이 조사되었다. 북방계식물은 토끼고사리 등 181분류군, 석회암지대 식물은 덕우기름나물 등 32분류군이 확인되었다. 외래식물은 개망초, 달맞이꽃 등 75분류군이 확인되었고, 귀화율 7.13%와 도시화율 12.12%로 산출되었다. 본 연구대상지인 풍혈지 25개소의 식물지리학적 특정식물은 월귤, 흰인가목, 꽃개회나무, 각시괴불나무, 산솜방망이 등으로 파악되었다.

Flora and Medical Plant Resources of Natural Ecosystem Conservation Area at Mt. Daedeoksan·Geumdaebong (대덕산·금대봉 자연생태계보전지역의 관속식물상과 약용자원식물)

  • This study is attempted to prepare criteria to determine target species for conservation, through analyzing vascular flora and medicinal resources plants of Mt. Daedeok and Geumdae-bong in Gangwon Province, Korea. Flora Surveys were conducted 14 times from April, 2017 to October, 2019. Total 428 taxa with 83 families, 245 genera, 356 species, 5 subspecies, 46 varieties and 21 forms were distributed in Mt. Daedeok and Geumdae-bong. Korean endemic species were composed of 19 species. Total 36 taxa of Korean rare plants species were identified including 5 taxa in the degree of CR, 2 taxa in the degree of EN, 12 taxa in the degree of VU, 14 taxa in the degree of LC and 3 taxa in the degree of DD. The naturalized plants were 5 families, 10 genera, 10 species, totaling 10 taxa and medicinal resources plants were 239 taxa with 73 families, 185 genera, 239 species, 30 varieties 4 forms, 4 subspecies. The Urbanization Index (UI) was 2.5% and the Naturalized Index (NI) was 1.9%.

Floristic Study of Gageodo in Korea (가거도의 관속식물상)

  • The flora of Is. Gageodo (N $34^{\circ}02^{\prime}{\sim}34^{\circ}05^{\prime}$, E $125^{\circ}05^{\prime}{\sim}125^{\circ}08^{\prime}$) in Sinangun (Province Jeollanamdo) was surveyed from April 2010 to October 2011. The vascular plants from the results of 23 field surveys were revealed as 385 taxa; in total 98 families, 258 genera, 348 species, three subspecies, 31 varieties and four forms. Fifty taxa were the first records in this region. The plants in various categories were discovered in this study. The number of Korean endemic plants were 7 taxa, and 8 taxa designated by Korean Forest Service as rare plants were investigated in this region. The plants above the third degree among the floristic regional indicator plants designated by Korean Ministry of Environment were 30 taxa. In addition, 28 taxa of the naturalized plants were recorded.
