A New Method of Health Monitoring for Press Processing Using AE Sensor (음향방출센서를 이용한 프레스공정에서의 새로운 건전성 평가 연구)

  • This study developed the health monitoring method of press process using the acoustic emission (AE) sensor and high-pass filter. Also, the AE parameters such as ring-down count and peak amplitude are used. Based on this AE signal, the AE parameters were acquired and was utilized to detect the crack of the specimen. Since the defect detection is difficult due to noise and low magnitude of signal, the signal noise and press operation frequency were checked through the Short Time Fourier Transform(STFT) and damped. High-pass Filtering data was applied to AE parameters to select effective parameters. By using this signal processing techniques, the proposed AE parameters could improve the performance of defect detection in the press process.

Effect of Surface Treatments and Glazing Temperatures on Bond Strength and Color Reproducibility in Titanium-Ceramic Prosthesis (티타늄의 표면처리와 저온용융도재의 글레이징 온도에 따른 티타늄-세라믹 보철물의 전단결합강도와 색조재현성)

  • The bonding strength and color reproducibility of titanium-ceramic prosthesis were analyzed the effect according to the surface treatments of titanium and the glazing temperatures of the low fused porcelain. The result of bonding strength compared with respect to the surface treatments was observed that the STB1 group coated by TiN had strongest boding strength and then came the SB1 group used special bonding agent, the SGB1 group coated by gold in that order. The bonding strength by the glazing temperature was indicated that the group with $770^{\circ}C$ of glazing temperature was observed increasing the bonding strength as compared with it of the other group, and the group with $810^{\circ}C$ of glazing temperature was observed to be decreased the bonding strength. Glazing temperature increases, the color by the surface treatment of titanium influenced the color of titanium-ceramic on account of getting higher brightness(${\Delta}L$). As a this result, the SB1 and SGB3 groups was evaluated to has the best color reproducibility.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the crack characteristics by performing the compression test of the rock and concrete specimens. The experiments are carried out by using strain sensors which can measure length change and the AE sensor which can detect the elastic wave from the crack. The crack volumetric strain calculated from measured strain is shown in different shape on the rock and the concrete specimens. This is because the specimens have a different degree of brittleness. However, the crack volumetric strain associated with the fracture and damage was similar to accumulated AE energy of the two specimens. This means that the AE sensor can assess damage in real time without damaging the structure.

  • In this paper, we have introduced the feature extraction for the ultrasonic signal analysis of the undamaged and damaged concrete specimens. Since the concrete has the heterogeneous nature by itself, it has been difficult to classify the feature with using ultrasonic signal which is acquired from the undamaged and damaged concrete specimens. Therefore, in this paper, we proposed the combinational analysis which is using both the damage coefficient and the number of zerocrossing for the feature extraction. And the pulse velocity method and the damage coefficient, which was proposed by Suaris, were reviewed. In this experiment, two types of concrete specimen have been considered: 180kg/㎠ and 240kg/㎠. The ultrasonic signals were acquired in normal direction. As a result, it has been that combinational analysis method, which is proposed in this paper, shows the better performance than the traditional ultrasonic pulse velocity method and the damage coefficient using maximum amplitude of the ultrasonic signal in the feature extraction.

Relationship between shear behavior characteristics and mechanical parameters of fractures (절리면에서의 전단거동 특성과 역학적 파라미터들 간의 상관성)

  • In this study, laboratory direct shear tests on 37 core specimens of gneiss were performed to examine the characteristics of shear behavior on fractures by using a portable direct shear box. The multi-stage shear testing method was used and normal stress applied to specimens ranges from 5.60 to $25.67kg/\textrm{cm}^2$. On the basis of test results, the empirical equations for the shear strength on fractures were suggested. The methanical parameters that can influence the shear behavior were derived and compared between each parameter. The values of shear stiffness have a trend showing rapid increase with the increase of normal stress and joint roughness coeffident, and the average value of secant shear stiffness for all specimens is about $110.68kg/\textrm{cm}^3$ under the range of normal stress applied in this test In addition, the relationship between the length of specimen and shear stiffness is inversely correlated due to the size effect. Therefore, even the specimens with the same joint roughness coeffident show the trend of decreasing shear stiffness in case of the specimens being the longer length.

  • 전이금속(transition metal) 질화물(nitride)은 높은 경도, 내마모성, 부식 저항성 그리고 내열성 등과 같은 우수한 기계적 물성 때문에 많은 연구가 되어 왔다. 이 중 질화 티타늄은 높은 경도, 내식 및 내마모의 우수한 기계적 특성으로 공구(tool)와 같은 제품의 수명 향상을 위한 표면 코팅으로 사용되어 왔으며, 금(gold)색의 미려한 색상을 이용한 제품의 외관 표면처리, 정형외과 및 치과용 보형물의 수명 및 안정성 향상 등 다양한 분야에 응용 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Cathodic Arc 코팅 방식을 이용하여 질화 티타늄을 합성하였으며, 경사 코팅에 따른 단층 및 다층 피막(3-layer)의 미세조직 변화와 그 물성을 평가하였다. 아크 소스에 장착된 타겟은 99.5%의 Ti 타겟을 사용하였고, 시편과 타겟 간의 거리는 약 31 cm이며, 시편은 알코올과 아세톤으로 초음파 세척 된 냉연강판과 SUS 304를 사용하였다. 시편을 진공용기에 장착하고 ~10-6 Torr까지 진공배기를 실시하고, Ar 가스를 진공용기 내로 공급하여 ~10-4 Torr에서 시편에 bias (Pulse : 400V)를 인가한 후 아크를 발생시켜 약 5분간 청정을 실시하였다. 플라즈마 청정이 끝나면 시편에 인가된 bias를 차단하고 코팅하였다. 경사 코팅을 위한 시편의 회전각은 $30^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$이며, 질화 티타늄의 두께는 약 $3{\mu}m$로 동일하게 코팅 하였다. 경사 코팅된 박막의 경우는 동일 시간 코팅하였을 경우 경사각이 커질수록 두께가 감소하였다. 경사각에 따라 코팅 층이 성장하였고, Bias를 인가 할 경우에는 경사 입사의 효과가 상쇄됨이 관찰되었다. 또한 경사 코팅에 의해 제조된 티타늄 질화물의 경도는 저하 되었으며, $30^{\circ}$$60^{\circ}$에 비해 $45^{\circ}$ 경우 경도 저하가 가장 적었다. 결론적으로 Cathodic 아크 코팅 방법으로 질화티타늄을 합성하였고, 경사 코팅을 통해 박막의 미세조직 변화를 확인 하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 이용하여 다양한 구조로 박막의 성장을 유도 할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 경도, 내마모성, 내식성 등의 물성을 변화시킬 수 있는 장점을 가질 것으로 예상된다.

  • 전이금속(transition metal) 질화물(nitride)은 높은 경도, 내마모성, 부식 저항성 그리고 내열성 등과 같은 우수한 기계적 물성 때문에 많은 연구가 되어 왔다. 이 중 질화 티타늄은 높은 경도, 내식 및 내마모의 우수한 기계적 특성으로 공구(tool)와 같은 제품의 수명 향상을 위한 표면 코팅소재로 사용되어 왔으며, 금(gold)색의 미려한 색상을 이용한 제품의 외관 표면처리와 인체에 무해한 특성을 활용한 정형외과 및 치과용 보형물의 수명 및 안정성 향상 등 다양한 분야에 응용 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 아크방전을 이용한 경사 코팅법으로 질화 티타늄을 합성하였으며, 경사 코팅에 따른 단층 및 다층 박막(2~3 layer)의 미세조직 변화와 그 물성을 평가하였다. 아크 소스에 장착된 타겟은 120 $mm{\Phi}$, 99.5%의 Ti 타겟을 사용하였고, 시편과 타겟 간의 거리는 약 30 cm이며, 시편은 냉연강판과 SUS를 사용하였다. 시편을 진공용기에 장착하고 ~10-6 Torr까지 진공배기를 실시하고, Ar 가스를 진공용기 내로 공급하여 ~10-4 Torr에서 시편에 bias (Pulse : 400 V)를 인가한 후 아크를 발생시켜 약 5분간 청정을 실시하였다. 플라즈마 청정이 끝나면 시편에 인가된 bias를 차단하고 코팅하였다. 경사 코팅을 위한 시편의 회전각은 45$^{\circ}$, -45$^{\circ}$이며, 질화 티타늄의 두께는 약 3 ${\mu}m$로 동일하게 코팅 하였다. 45$^{\circ}$ 단일층의 경우 0$^{\circ}$ 단일층보다 경도가 감소하나 zigzag 구조의 다층으로 갈수록 45$^{\circ}$ 단일층과 비교하여 확연히 경도가 증가함을 볼 수 있었다. 다층 질화 티타늄의 경사 코팅을 통해 박막의 미세조직 변화를 SEM 이미지를 통해 확인하였으며 증착 방식에 따라 경도, 조도, 반사도 등의 물성 변화가 나타났다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 이용하여 다양한 형태의 박막구조 제어를 통한 물성변화가 가능할 것으로 예상된다.

TEMPERATURE TRANSMISSION OF PAC UNIT THROUGH DENTIN (상아질을 통한 플라즈마 아크 광중합기의 온도 전달)

  • Plasma Arc Curing(PAC) units operate at relatively high intensity and claimed to result in optimum properties of composite resin in a short curing time, so the interest of pediatric dentists about PAC units have been increased recently. But PAC units used for polymerizing restorative resins produce heat during operation. The purpose of this study was to evaluate temperature transmission through dentin of various depths using two types of PAC units(Flipo, Q-Lux plasma 100). The results from the present study can be summarized as follows : 1. When PAC be used continuously, temperature on tip was increased as curing times, and Q-Lux showed greater temperature rising(p<0.001). 2. Compared temperature transmission as dentin depth, temperature rising rate was decreased as dentin thickened(0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0mm)(p<0.05). 3. Compared temperature transmission as resin depth, temperature rising rate was also decreased as resin thickened(1.0, 2.0mm)(p<0.05).

Statistical Verification of Acoustic Emissions Detected during Polymerization Shrinkage of Resin Restoration in Dental Ring (치아/복합레진 수복부의 중합 수축시 검출된 음향방출의 통계적 검증)

  • Acoustic emission (AE) signals are detected during the polymerization shrinkage of composite resin restoration in artificial dental ring according to various interfacial treatment conditions. AE amplitudes and the number of AE hit events were compared through the non-parametric statistics of Mann-Whitney method and Kruskal-Wallis method. The AE amplitudes detected from the PMMA and human tooth ring specimens were not significantly different according to adhesive conditions. The stainless steel ring specimen, meanwhile, had a difference in AE amplitude (p<0.05). The quantity of hit events for the human molar dentin specimens of the good bonding state was much less than that for the steel ring specimen but more than that for the PMMA ring specimen. For the same substrate, the better the bonding state, the less the AE hit events (p<0.05). The degree of marginal disintegration measured by SEM was proportional to the amount of AE hit events detected.

Preparation of Porous Ceramics Sound Absorbent Material Using Sewage Sludge Slag (하수슬러지 슬래그를 이용한 다공성 세라믹스 흡음재료 제조)

  • The effects of content and particle size of sewage sludge slag on the sound absorption was investigated and the physical$.$mechanical properties of porous ceramics for sound absorbent material was studied. The physical$.$mechanical properties of specimens have depended on sintering temperature and slag content without particle size effect of slag. As water glass content increase and particle size of slag decrease at the same slag content, physical$.$mechanical properties of them have been improved. The bulk density and compressive strength of specimens with the batch composition of 77∼89 wt% of slag content and particles with 1∼3 mm, and sintered at 1,050$^{\circ}C$ for 2 h were 1.48∼1.71 and 86∼163 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$, respectively. The specimens with 1∼3 mm and <1 mm of particles size showed good sound absorption property at low frequency and high frequency region. With increasing thickness of specimens, sound absorption properties at low frequency region were increased.
