  • 방송통신위원회 "장애인방송 편성 및 제공 등 장애인 방송접근권 보장에 관한 고시"[1] 8조3항에서는 장애인방송물을 제작 송신 재송신할 경우에 대하여, 한국정보통신기술협회(이하 "TTA")에서 제정한 시청각장애보조방송서비스 기술표준의 준수를 의무화 하고 있다. 이에 TTA에서는 시청각 장애 보조 방송 서비스 관련 모든 방송매체 공통의 시청각 장애 보조 방송 서비스 표준의 기술을 검증하고 장애인방송 의무 적용에 대한 정부 정책 및 방송사업자 업체 대상 상용화 적용 시험을 지원하고자 장애인방송 수신기 시험환경과 장애인방송을 송신 및 재송신하는 방송매체의 송출스트림의 표준적합성을 검증할 수 있는 시험환경을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 "시청각 장애 보조 방송 서비스"[2]표준의 자막방송 및 화면해설방송을 시험하기 위한 시험환경 및 시험도구 개발 내용을 소개한다.

The Effects of Information Service Program by Media on Anxiety and Educational Satisfaction in Patients with Cataract Surgery (시청각매체를 이용한 정보제공 프로그램이 백내장 수술 환자의 불안과 교육만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to identify the effects of providing an information service program by media on preoperative anxiety and postoperative educational satisfaction in patients with cataract surgery. Methods: For this study 52 patients who visited the ophthalmology clinic at P Hospital in B metropolitan city and who were scheduled to undergo one-day cataract surgery under local anesthesia were recruited. The 52 patients were assigned to the experimental group (25) or the control group (27). This study was conducted from August 27, 2015 to May 29, 2016. Results: Following the provision of cataract surgery related information service by media, the experimental group had a lower mean score for anxiety and higher mean score for educational satisfaction compared to the control group of patients. Conclusion: Results indicate that information service program by media "Goodbye Cataract" is useful educational materials for cataract patients in outpatient department and outpatient operating rooms.

A Study on the Extension of the Description Elements for Audio-visual Archives (시청각기록물의 기술요소 확장에 관한 연구)

  • The output and usage rate of audio-visual materials have sharply increased as the information industry advances and diverse archives became available. However, the awareness of the audio-visual archives are more of a separate record with collateral value. The organizations that hold these materials have very weak system of the various areas such as the categories and archiving methods. Moreover, the management system varies among the organizations, so the users face difficulty retrieving and utilizing the audio-visual materials. Thus, this study examined the feasibility of the synchronized management of audio-visual archives by comparing the descriptive elements of the audio-visual archives in internal key agencies. The study thereby examines the feasibility of the metadata element of the organizations and that of synchronized management to propose the effect of the use of management, retrieval and service of efficient AV materials. The study also proposes the improvement of descriptive element of metadata.

  • The communication designer in the multimedia age should have a consideration that the sound also can be an important expression element to transmit ones thought as well as the visual sense like color, shape and motion. As you already know, someones thought can be better understood when transmitted to others using the visual and auditory senses together than using the visual or auditory sense alone. The meeting of sight and hearing bases on the synesthesia. For example, low sound reminds a person of dark color and high sound usually reminds light color. And a percussion instrument reminds a person a circle and melody reminds a line. The visual and auditory senses In communication of the multimedia age should act as an independent expression element gotten out of the synchronizing that just serves simple sight and related sound at the same time. Interaction between sight and hearing arose a different emotion that cannot be happened just by one element alone. So, the programs of communication design education in this multimedia age should fulfill the requirement that it can develop ones expression ability through the understanding of interaction between sight and hearing. In this study, we suggest the education programs Classified into following categories; audio visual Gestaltung, audio visual moving graphics, audio visual design.

EVALUATION OF PEDIATRIC DENIAL PATIENTS' BEHAVIOR AFTER USING AUDIO-VISUAL AIDS (시청각 기구를 이용한 소아환자의 행동조절에 관한 연구)

  • In the area of pediatric dentistry, several behavior modification techniques have been attempted to relieve young patients' dental fear. The use of audio-visual(AV) aids is one of them and is increasing. In this study, several patients' reactions to dental treatment have been investigated after using AV aids, including patients' sleep, movement, crying and overall behavior. The effectiveness of AV aids have also been investigated through patients' age, previous dental experience and daily exposure to TV or video. Thirty healthy children with Frankl behavior rating (+) or (-) were included in this study. The average age of the children was $52.9{\pm}12.7$ months and no statistical difference was found between the two groups. Thirty patients were equally divided into two groups. Group I(control) received dental treatment with the conventional tell-show-do while group II(AV) with tell-show-do and AV aids. All patients received only restorative dental treatment and received no extraction. Houpt behavior rating scale was used to evaluate patients' behavior during the dental treatment. As a result, there was no significant difference between the two groups in movement and crying. However, more patients in the AV group fell asleep during the dental treatment compared to the control group. Within the AV group, patients with previous dental experience, older age and frequent exposure to AV materials showed better overall behavior during the dental treatment as audio-visual aids were used for behavior management.

  • In the electronic records environment, along with discussions on ways to digitize analog records, it is important to prepare preservation strategies for each type of records produced and received electronically. In the same context, there is a need for discussion on applying a preservation format selection system with the goal of long-term preservation of data sets and audio-visual type electronic records other than document types. Audiovisual records must apply preservation strategies appropriate to the characteristics of each medium, such as images, audio, and video. This study establishes unique standards for selecting a preservation format for audio-visual electronic records through analysis of Significant Properties based on literature review, composed audio-type preservation format suitability evaluation items, and proposed a recommended format based on the results of applying them.

  • 본 논문은 스포츠 방송의 몰입감 증대를 위한 진동촉감 제시 시스템 및 장치를 제안하며, 촉감 정보를 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 촉감제시 방법론 및 제어 알고리즘을 제안한다. 최근 디지털 컨텐츠의 전달에 있어 오감을 통한 정보 전달의 관심이 증대됨에 따라, 대중을 대상으로 다양한 정보를 전달하는 디지털 매체에서의 시청각과 더불어 촉감 제시의 역할과 중요성이 증대되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 동적인 현장 상황을 실감 있게 전달하는 스포츠 방송에서의 햅틱 효과와 역할 그리고 가능한 시나리오를 정의하고, 진동촉감 제시 장비를 설계하여 촉감 정보 표현에 대한 기초 연구를 수행하였다. 또한 제안된 촉감을 이용한 스포츠 방송 시나리오 중 축구 방송을 기반으로 사용자 촉감 인지 실험을 수행하였으며, 실험 결과를 바탕으로 축구 방송 시스템을 구축하여 실감방송 전시회 시연을 통해 진동촉감 시스템 및 촉감 제시 방법론을 검증하였다. 촉감이 인간의 오감 중 시청각 다음으로 정보를 인지하는 중요한 감각 체계인 만큼 많은 양의 정보를 대중에게 전달하는 방송 시스템에서 시청각과 더불어 효과적인 정보 전달 체계로써 기여할 것이라고 여겨진다.

  • 최근 디지털 맵이나 GIS와 같은 새로운 테크놀로지의 발달로 사회과 지리영역은 많은 변화가 요구되고 있다. 특히 교육방법적 측면에서 학생들의 흥미를 북돋워줄 수 있는 교수학습 방법의 개발과 적용이 필요하다. 그러나 기존의 시청각매체는 학생들의 흥미를 만족시켜주는데 한계가 있을 뿐만 아니라 최신의 자료가 반영되지 못한 경우가 많다. 요즘에는 인터넷의 발달로 지구상에서 일어나는 일을 쉽고 빠르게 찾아볼 수 있으며 구글 어스 등의 새로운 GIS를 활용하여 세계의 모습을 정확하고 손쉽게 볼 수 있다. 그러나 아직까지 교육과정에서 GIS를 활용하는 것에 관한 연구는 부족한 편이다. 이에 교육과정에서 활용할 수 있는 디지털 맵과 GIS를 조사하고, 이를 수업현장에서 활용할 수 있는 수업모형을 제안하고자 한다.
