A Study on Adopting Active Suspension Control in Sky Hook System (스카이훅 시스템에의 능동 서스펜션 제어 이론 적용에 관한 연구)

  • This paper prosed modelling and design method in suspension system sesign to analyze sky hook damper system by adopting active suspension control theory. Recent in the field of suspension system design it is general to adopt active control scheme for stiffness and damping, and connection with other vehicle stability control equipment is also intricate, it is required for control system scheme to design more robust, higher response and precision control equipment. It is hon that sky hook suspension system is better than passive spring-damper system in designing suspension equipment. We analyze location of damper in sky hook system and its motion equation then design robust control system. Numerical example is shown for validity of robust control system design in active sky hook suspension system.

  • There are many CAD commercial systems such as fabric design CAD for fabric designers and pattern design CAD including visual wearing system for garment designers. But there is no fabric design system for weaving factory, so the data base system related to the fabric design for weaving factory is needed. Therefore, in this study, as a preliminary study of the data base system for fabric design, easy decision of warp and weft densities according to the various yarn count, weave constructions and materials were surveyed through analysis of design plan for nylon and polyester fabrics from wearing factories.

  • SEDT(System Engineering Design Tool) has been developed for small satellite conceptual design with an aim to verifying the nanosatellite HAUSAT-2 design. The program can calculate the mass and power of whole satellite system having specific mission and estimate the system cost based on mission and user requirements. It is containing various analysis data of more than 200 small satellites. The database will provide the trend analysis results of the small satellites which will become important design factors. This tool has also been verified by applying more than 10 small satellite data through case studies.

  • Multi-domain design is difficult because such systems tend to be complex and include a mixtures of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and thermal components. To design an optimal system, unified and automated procedure with efficient search technique is required. This paper introduces design method for multi-domain system to obtain design solutions automatically, combining bond graph which is domain independent modeling tool and genetic programming which is well recognized as a powerful tool for open-ended search. The suggested design methodology has been applied for design of electric fitter, electric printer drive, and and pump system as a proof of concept for this approach.

Recent in the field of suspension system design it is general to adopt active control scheme for stiffness and damping, and connection with other vehicle stability control equipment is also intricate, it is required for control system scheme to design more robust, higher response and precision control equipment. It is known that active suspension system is better than passive spring-damper system in designing suspension equipment. We analyze suspension system with considering location of front-rear wheel and driving velocity, then design control system. Numerical example is shown for validity of robust control system design in active suspension system.

  • Product regulations specify requirements or constraints for products that manufacturers must comply with across the entire product lifecycle, from design and manufacture, through operation and maintenance, to recycling and disposal. This paper suggests a system framework and its essential components for the verification of a pressure vessel design using the industrial standards of Korea. The authors also present methods to generate design template data from legacy design systems and to construct a regulation knowledge base. The proposed framework is demonstrated through experiments involving pressure vessel design verification using a prototype system.

  • In this paper, a software development for design of the small photovoltaic system which is used to LED lighting is presented. For optimal design of photovoltaic systems, the operating power consumption of the LED load is considered to estimate the capacity of the solar module and battery. In order to give system design engineers a high ease of use, the software tool provides a graphical user interface and monitoring function to check operation of the system prior to installation.

  • The water distribution system problem consists of finding a minimum cost system design subject to hydraulic and operation constraints. The design of new branching network in a paddy irrigation system is presented here. The program based on the linear programming formulation is aimed at finding the optimal economical combination of two main factors: the capital cost of pipe network and the energy cost. Two loading conditions and booster pumps for design of pipe network are considered to obtain the least cost design.

  • In the controller design of position or velocity control system, the flexibility of the mechanical system is always the limiting factor to the higher performance. Most mechanical systems coupled with rotary shaft are 2-Inertia systems which are consist of motor and load inertia. These inertias make a torsion In rotary shaft and cause torsional vibration. To suppress vibration, various control strategies have been proposed mainly for controlling 2-inertia system. In this paper, a speed controller design for a 2-inertia system composed of voltage controlled DC motor and load inertia is made by using CDM(coefficient diagram method). First, the 2-inertia system model is derived. Then the CDM is used to design the proper controller. A validity of this approach is confirmed by simulation and experimental results.
