Sensor-based Alert System applying Expert System for Performance Improvement (성능 향상을 위해 전문가 시스템이 적용 된 센서 기반 경보 시스템)

  • These days news about natural disaster caused by earthquake, typhoon is broadcasted frequently. At this moment, structure' healthy is threatened by natural disaster, only way to minimize the casualties and property damage is doing accurate alert. In this research, I designed Expert system to reduce wrong-alert and elevate the accuracy. The expert system put many sensors close to each other as a one group. We focus on elevating reliability of monitoring system by comparing each nearby sensor's state not one single sensor. Providing accurate data which can decide safe to structure manager can minimize current damage by early response, also has advantage that can prevent additional damage can be occur in the future.

  • There have been increased economic and societal demands to continuously monitor the integrity and long-term deterioration of civil infrastructures to ensure their safety and adequate performance throughout their life span. However, it is very difficult to continuously monitor the structural condition of the pipeline structures because those are placed underground and connected each other complexly, although pipeline structures are core underground infrastructures which transport primary sources. Moreover, damage can occur at several scales from micro-cracking to buckling or loose bolts in the pipeline structures. In this study, guided wave measurement can be achieved with a self-sensing circuit using a piezoelectric active sensor. In this self sensing system, a specific frequency-induced structural wavelet response is obtained from the self-sensed guided wave measurement. To classify the multiple types of structural damage, supervised learning-based statistical pattern recognition was implemented using the damage indices extracted from the guided wave features. Different types of structural damage artificially inflicted on a pipeline system were investigated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed SHM approach.

Multi-fidelity Data-fusion for Improving Strain accuracy using Optical Fiber Sensors (이종 광섬유 센서 데이터 융합을 통한 변형률 정확도 향상 기법)

  • As aging infrastructures increase along with time, the efficient maintenance becomes more significant and accurate responses from the sensors are pre-requisite. Among various responses, strain is commonly used to detect damage such as crack and fatigue. Optical fiber sensor is one of the promising sensing techniques to measure strains with high-durability, immunity for electrical noise, long transmission distance. Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) is a point sensor to measure the strain based on reflected signals from the grating, while Brillouin Optic Correlation Domain Analysis (BOCDA) is a distributed sensor to measure the strain along with the optical fiber based on scattering signals. Although the FBG provides the signal with high accuracy and reproducibility, the number of sensing points is limited. On the other hand, the BOCDA can measure a quasi-continuous strain along with the optical fiber. However, the measured signals from BOCDA have low accuracy and reproducibility. This paper proposed a multi-fidelity data-fusion method based on Gaussian Process Regression to improve the fidelity of the strain distribution by fusing the advantages of both systems. The proposed method was evaluated by laboratory test. The result shows that the proposed method is promising to improve the fidelity of the strain.

Development of ICT-based road safety integrated facilities for pedestrian crossing (ICT기반 횡단보도용 교통안전 통합시설물 개발)

  • The rate of traffic accidents that occurred in Korea last year is 10 out of every 100,000 people, ranking it 6th among the 35 OECD member countries. The accident rate of children with disabilities and elderly people is also high. The purpose of this study is to introduce traffic safety facilities which have been developed for the reduction of traffic accidents in non-urban areas in Korea through an analysis of the related literature, the accident factors using traffic accident analysis system data and traffic accident characteristics. Traffic safety integrated facilities for ICT-based pedestrian crossings are subject to cross-sectional coverage of child protection zones. The smart safety fence prevents vehicles from parking illegally and informs pedestrians that there is an access vehicle on the pedestrian crossing. The smart bump is designed to warn drivers who are not aware of the pedestrians. In order to standardize the appropriate form and size of the traffic safety facilities for pedestrian crossings, we constructed a standard model for each type, considering the road function, press classification, power, lane number, geometric form, etc. As a result, the rate of traffic accidents involving vulnerable people was reduced. In addition, it is anticipated that the maintenance costs will be reduced by the use of a solar power supply and their compatibility with the existing installed safety fences.

  • It is necessary to secure the underwater visibility in order to perform underwater works such as rubble mound leveling or inspection and management of underwater structures. In this study, turbidity data for typical port area in Korea were measured and analyzed according to the region. Underwater monitoring system including underwater camera and sonar system, which can be effectively attached to underwater equipment for various turbidity conditions, was also investigated.

  • The purpose of this study is to design the GIS (Geographic Information System)-based BIM (Building Information Modeling) Objects Visualization System (OVS) Architecture by using Open source BIM Server Cost-Effectively. Recently, the studies related to the facility management using GIS and BIM are being researched world-widely. In this studies, it's important to develop the BIM Server to link the heterogeneous system such as GIS and represent GIS-based BIM objects. To implement it, the trends in related studies were reviewed and the open source-based BIM server architecture was analyzed. And then the architecture considering the BIM server was designed to represent the geometry and property of the BIM object which was stored in BIM server. Lastly, the system by using the proposed architecture was developed.

  • 강원도 동해안 지역 하천은 유로연장과 유역면적이 작고 하천 상류부는 급경사이며 하류부는 완경사의 특징을 보여주고 있다. 이 지역 대부분의 하천이 바다로 직접 유입되고 있어 바다와 하천을 옮겨 다니는 회유성 어류가 서식하고 있으며 이들은 소하성, 강하성 및 양측성 어류로 구분된다. 이러한 회유성 어류의 이동은 동해안 지역 하천 하류부 완경사지에서 농업용수를 취수하기 위한 보의 설치로 인하여 어려워졌으며, 이러한 문제에 대처하기 위하여 수산자원 보호령(대통령령 제 5027호) 제 21조에서 어도설치를 규정하고 있다. 강원도 동해안 지역 하천에 설치되어 있는 어도의 실태를 보면 총 19개 하천에 있는 83개소의 농업용 취수보에 약 130개의 어도가 있다. 기존에 설치되어 있는 전어도에 대한 현장조사결과 어도의 기능에 장애를 일으킬 만한 원인은 어도시설의 구조적인 문제와 관리문제로 대별할 수 있다. 본 연구는 어도의 기능이 원활하게 유지되도록 어도시설물에 대한 각종 자료를 체계적으로 집적한 어도정보시스템을 구축하여 어도시설에 대한 현황파악을 용이하게 하고, 지방자치단체에서 개별적으로 수행하던 어도관리를 통합관리할수 있게 하며, 어도시설 표준모형 설계의 기초자료 및 하천 정보, 어류생태정보와 연결된 정보시스템으로의 확장을 가능하게 한다. 본 어도 정보시스템은 기본적으로 인터넷상에서 서비스가 이루어진다. 사용자는 웹 브라우저를 이용하여 어도 정보시스템이 탑재된 웹 서버에 접속하여 서비스를 요청한다. 사용자의 요청을 받은 웹 서버는 게시판과 DBMS를 제어하여 그 결과를 사용자에게 건네준다. 사용된 기술은 ISAPI 규격의 확장인 IDC, HTX이다. 관리자와 사용자의 입력, 수정, 검색, 삭제등에 관한 읽고 쓰기 권한을 구분한다.이 경과함에 따라 소멸하며 약산성에서 높은 생성능을 보임을 알 수 있었다, 강별로는 낙동강에서 THMs파 HANs의 생성능이 비교적 높았고, 영산강에서는 HAAs의 생성능이 높았다. 각 원수의 특성에 따른 생성능을 파악함으로써 생성능 저감방안을 마련하며, 소독 부산물질의 인체노출평가에 따른 위해성평가를 통해 관리기준을 설정해야 할 것이다.는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 한국 문화의 특징이라 할 수 있는 교수-학생간의 인간적인 관계가 중시되는 교육환경하에서, 정보화 사회의 한 수업형태인 재택수업을 외국(특히 미국)의 방법을 그대로 따라 실시할 경우, 많은 부작용이 있을 수 있다는 것을 암시하며, 따라서 우리 교육문화에 맞는 재택수업 형태의 개발이 시급함을 제시한다고 하겠다.column density of HCaN is (1-3):n1014cm-2. Flow Characteristics through the Singok Submerged Weir in Downstream of the Han River (한강하류 신곡수중보의 흐름특성)

  • 신곡수중보는 한강종합개발사업(1982년~1986년) 중 하도정비로 인하여 상시 수위가 저하됨으로써 조수의 과도한 역류 등으로 발생하는 이수상의 문제점을 해결하고 상류에 설치된 잠실수중 보 사이의 수위유지 및 하천 공간 이용의 극대화, 연안 농경지의 용수공급 및 하천환경 보전을 목적으로 건설되어, 「잠실 및 신곡수중보 관리규정(1986)」 및 「신곡수중보 운영 매뉴얼」에 의해 관리·운영되고 있다. 신곡수중보는 준공된 이래로 한강하류의 흐름 해석에 있어 중요한 기준과 경계로서 이와 관련한 다양한 연구가 진행되었다. 신곡수중보로 인한 흐름의 변화가 하상과 생태에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구와 하구역에서의 조위 및 흐름특성과 밀도류의 거동에 관한 1, 2차원 수치해석연구가 활발히 진행되었다. 본 연구에서는 그동안 1, 2차원 수치해석연구로 한정되었던 신곡수중보 흐름특성에 관련하여 실제 수문 운영 방식을 반영한 3차원 수치해석을 수행하여 구조물의 상·하류에서 발생하는 와류 및 이차류와 같은 3차원적 흐름 구조와 이에 따른 지형의 침식·퇴적 및 구조물에 미치는 영향 등을 구체적으로 분석하였다. 우선, 신곡수중보 운영 매뉴얼과 실제 가동보 운영시스템을 비교하여 수문개방 시기, 유량 기준의 수문 운영 방법, 수위 변화에 따른 수문 운영 방법, 수문개방 순서를 분석하고 신곡수중보 주변 흐름에 대한 3차원 수치해석모형 구축을 위한 경계조건을 산정하였다. 수치해석에는 상용프로그램인 FLOW-3D를 사용하였으며, 경계처리기법 및 난류해석을 위해 FAVOR 기법과 RNG k-ε 모델을 적용하였다. 수문 동시개방 개수, 수문 개방 위치 및 순서, 개방 높이에 대한 조건을 변화시켜 구성한 시나리오에 대해 수치해석 후, 유속, 난류에너지, 이차류 등의 흐름특성을 분석하고 상·하류 수위차에 따른 방류량을 산정하여 시설물의 관리안을 도출하고 운영 매뉴얼의 개정안을 제시하였다.

Study on Establishment of a Monitoring System for Long-term Behavior of Caisson Quay Wall (케이슨 안벽의 장기 거동 모니터링 시스템 구축 연구 )

  • In this paper, a sensor-based monitoring system was established to analyze the long-term behavioral characteristics of the caisson quay wall, a representative structural type in port facilities. Data was collected over a period of approximately 10 months. Based on existing literature, anomalous behaviors of port facilities were classified, and a measurement system was selected to detect them. Monitoring systems were installed on-site to periodically collect data. The collected data was transmitted and stored on a server through LTE network. Considering the site conditions, inclinometers for measuring slope and crack meters for measuring spacing and settlement were installed. They were attached to two caissons for comparison between different caissons. The correlation among measured data, temperature, and tidal level was examined. The temperature dominated the spacing and settlement data. When the temperature changed by approximately 50 degrees, the spacing changed by 10 mm, the settlement by 2 mm, and the slope by 0.1 degrees. On the other hand, there was no clear relationship with tidal level, indicating a need for more in-depth analysis in the future. Based on the characteristics of these collected database, it will be possible to develop algorithms for detecting abnormal states in gravity-type quay walls. The acquisition and analysis of long-term data enable to evaluate the safety and usability of structures in the event of disasters and emergencies.

A Study on the Improvement of Automatic Text Recognition of Road Signs Using Location-based Similarity Verification (위치기반 유사도 검증을 이용한 도로표지 안내지명 자동인식 개선방안 연구)

  • Road signs are guide facilities for road users, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport has established and operated a system to enhance the convenience of managing these road signs. The role of road signs will decrease in the future autonomous driving, but they will continue to be needed. For the accurate mechanical recognition of texts on road signs, automatic road sign recognition equipment has been developed and it has applied image-based text recognition technology. Yet there are many cases of misrecognition due to irregular specifications and external environmental factors such as manual manufacturing, illumination, light reflection, and rainfall. The purpose of this study is to derive location-based destination names for finding misrecognition errors that cannot be overcome by image analysis, and to improve the automatic recognition of road signs destination names by using Levenshtein similarity verification method based on phoneme separation.
