Although Hi-pass have been operated for alleviating traffic congestion and enhancing mobility in expressways since 2000, there is not any standard for safe operation. For that reason, we investigated about tubular markers, which is a typical facility for safety in Hi-pass. Tubular Markers are installed for separating same or opposite traffic flows spatially, supporting the marks at a place which has not only high possibility of accidents but distinguished carefulness of drivers. In this paper, it is noted two considerings; one is prevention of accident from the speed gap of autos and Hi-pass vehicles; the other is guarantee of necessary distance that Hi-pass vehicles could be changes the lanes for off-ramp. Focusing those considerations, it is proposed not only prefer distance of tubular markers, but also fundamental basic subjects. We anticipate that the results of this study would be useful reference in more safe and efficient tollgate operation of Hi-pass.

New UBVRI observations of triple star $\lambda$ Tau were made at Chungbuk Ntional University Observatory for 31 nights from Dec. 1990 to Jan. 1994. A total of 2930 photometric observations were obtained with 586 points for each filters, and BVRI light curves were constructed. From the primary light curves, the one times of primary minimum light was determined with a new light element. The photometric solutions of light curves for $\lambda$ Tau were calculated by using Wilson-Devinney method with our BVRI light curves and the BV light curves obtained by Grant(1959). We determined spectroscopic solutions that were satisfied with these two light curves and the radial velocity curves had been collected by Fekel and Tomkin (1982). From these values, absolute dimensions for this system were estimated. The radius and mass for the primary star are turned out to be $8.3R_\odot$ and $8.1m_\odot$, and $6.5R_\odot$ and $2.1m_\odot$ for the secondary star, respectively.

The rotational properties of late-type main sequence stars in the solar neighborhood have been investigated. So rotation periods and stellar radii are determined for 104 field stars, 8 Ursa Major Group stars, and 20 Hyades cluster stars. Most of the rotation periods are derived using the Noyes et al. (1984)'s relation between chromospheric activity and rotation period. Stellar radii are calculated by the Stefan law for the nearby stars within 25 pc from the sun. Rotational velocities at equator are determined by the above rotation periods and stellar radii. Their distribution along the (B-V) color shows an upper boundary and an abrupt drop for the stars in the range of 0.4<(B-V)<0.8, as found from the apparent rotational velocity data. Furthermore, it is apparent that there is an lower boundary of rotational velocity. The inclination of rotation axis to line-of-sight is obtained by comparing the rotational velocity at equator with the apparent rotational velocity given by the analysis of the line profiles. For the field stars, it is found that the inclination has no correlation with the galactic lattitude and follows random distribution.

A navigation system for virtual environments using low-quality HMD(head mounted display)must quantize images when the system presents true-color image with restricted number of colors. Such navigation system quantizes an image by using fixed palette. If the system represents an image by using a variable palette which is made considering a region around the viewpoint then user can perceive a virtual environments more vividly because human visual system is sensitive to the colors variation in the region around the viewpoint. In this paper we propose a color quantization algorithm that quantize a region around the viewpoint more finely than other regions at each variation of viewpoint for virtual environments navigation system and compose virtual environments navigation system using proposed algorithm. The system quantizes an image at each variation of viewpoint and shows a quantized image to user through HMD. We tested user preferences for our proposed system and the results show that users preferred our system.

Walter Benjamin's unique concept of the aura is mainly presented in his three essays, Little History of Photography(1931), The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction(1935-1939), and On Some Motifs in Baudelaire(1939), whereas the studies on this concept are principally conducted on the basis of the first two essays. But considering Benjamin elaborated the concept through Baudelaire studies, the aura needs to be reexamined on the axis of "On Some Motifs in Baudelaire". He approached Baudelaire studies in one of the essential items for The Arcades Project at first. These studies acquired a new prospect soon after he mapped out these studies for an independent book in 1938. His Baudelaire studies come to fruition in On Some Motifs in Baudelaire, written one year after The Paris of the Second Empire in Baudelaire(1938). For Benjamin, Baudelaire is not only a poet who sharply testified to the age of the decay of aura, but also the one who elaborated new poetic motifs such as the metropolis, the crowd: the poet searched for his poems in the crowd of the metropolis, by accepting as poetic nourishment all sorts of experiences of the impact of daily occurrunces in Paris. In On Some Motifs in Baudelaire, the aura is defined as the response of a gaze, that is, the capability to gaze on something. It is principally a poetic capacity to give the capability of opening the eyes to an animal, or even to an inanimate object. If a gaze is responded by the other for which the gaze is placed upon, we experience the other's own aura. The media of the mechanical reproduction (such as the photography, the film) give rise to the decay of aura, because the expectation of returning one's gaze becomes frustrated from the outset.

스펙트럼선의 선폭증대 현상을 방출영역 내 기체입자들이 열운동에 의한 단순 도플러 효과로 가정하여 중심에서 어느 한쪽으로 심하게 치우친 스펙트럼 선윤곽를 해석한다. 본 연구에서는 태양활동영역에서 흔히 관측되는 좌우 비대칭의 선윤곽을 서로 다른 가우스속도분포의 기체성분들이 시선방향으로 중첩된 결과라 해석하고, 최소자승법을 이용한 비선형 선윤곽 맞춤질에 의해 스펙트럼 방출영역에서 떨어져 나가는 기채들의 온도 및 분출속도에 관련된 도플러선폭과 도플러이동량을 구하였다.

It is very important for the combat system to process extensive data exactly at short time for the better situation awareness compared with the threats in these days. This paper suggests to add radial velocity on the decision factor of sensor data fusion in the existing algorithm for the accuracy enhancement of the sensor data fusion in the combat system.

우리는 분리형 쌍성 11개(원궤도 7개, 타원궤도 4개), 반분리형 쌍성 7개와 접촉형 쌍성 9개(근첩촉형 3개, 접촉형 2개, 초과 접촉형 4개)를 포함하는 27개의 다양한 종류의 표준식쌍성의 분석하여 절대량을 구하였다. 표준 식쌍성은 식쌍성의 광도곡선이 적어도 두 파장 영역 이상에서 그리고 모든 위상에서 골고루 관측되었고, 쌍성의 두 구성원 별에 대하여 시선속도 곡선이 발표된 식쌍성, 즉, 이중분광선 식쌍성 (Double line spectroscopic eclipsing binariy)으로 정의한다. 우리는 표준식쌍성의 370개의 후보에 대하여 문헌을 조사하여 관측 데이터를 확보 하였다. 이중에서 시선속도곡선과 광도곡선 자료가 동시에 존재하는 식쌍성은 80개이다. 이번 연구에서 우리는 표준식쌍성의 관측 질을 고려하여 27개의 식쌍성을 선택하여 절대량을 계산하였고, 이전 연구자들이 발표한 절대량과 비교 하였다. 이 논문에서 제시한 표준식쌍성의 유용성을 확인하기 위해 소마젤란은하에서 발견한 식쌍성의 광도곡선을 분석하여 측광학적인 해를 구하는 작업을 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 표준 식쌍성을 식쌍성의 종류별로 구분하고, 소마젤란은하에서 발견된 식쌍성 20여개를 선정하였다. 선정된 식쌍성을 표준식쌍성의 광도곡선과 형태를 비교하여 초기값을 결정하였고, 반복적인 차등보정법으로 측광학적인 해를 구하였다. 이 논문에서 제시한 표준식쌍성이 소마젤란은하에서 발견된 식쌍성들의 광도곡선의 형태를 대부분 포함하는 다양한 분포로 형성되어 있고, 이에 따른 측광학적인 해가 관측과 잘 일치함을 보여주고 있다.

The 1.29 GHz wind profiler radar is a remote observation device that is useful not only for calculating wind vectors in clear air, but also for detecting rainfall. The Doppler spectrum symmetry test is essential in the horizontal wind treatment process. Since asymmetry may be detected in rainfall cases, it is necessary to reflect in the wind calculation algorithm that the sign of the radial velocity is the same according to the magnitude of the vertical velocity. In the summer of 2017 (June, July), a wind vector calculation algorithm by Bragg scattering and Rayleigh scattering was developed using Changwon wind profiler data, and verified by comparing it with radiosonde data at 6 hour intervals.

The moving picture blur noise of LCD is measured and the characteristics of it are evaluated. From the results, blur noise is generated only when the sight line moves while pursuing the moving image and blur noise is not generated when the sight line is fixed. In addition, decrease of gray level by the image blur has a linearity and velocity dependence. The blur noise simulator based on this experimental results is developed. From the results of blur noise simulation, the faster the moving speed of image is, the more blur noise has increased and these agree with the results of measurement. In the result of simulating blur noise characteristics by the duty ratio control of backlight, noise is reduced by lowering of the duty ratio. but the blur noise increases if there is in the both of adjacent two frames. Moreover, the case of doubling the frame rate to 120[Hz], decreasing the moving speed of the image by making an new image between the adjacent two frames brings the reduction of blur noise.
