A Study on the Improvement of the convergence Properties of the Adaptive Lattice Filters (적응 Lattice 필터의 수검특성 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The convergence properties of Burg algorithm, which is commonly used to calculate the reflection coefficients in the adaptive lattice filters, are studied in this paper. Applying the $\mu$ algorithm to Burg algorithm, a new adaptive lattice $\mu$ algorithm is derived and it shows that the convergence speed of this algorithm is higher than that of Burg algorithm. As a result of theoretical analysis and computer simulation, it is proved that the con-vergence speed of the proposed algorithm is remarkably higher than that of Burg algorithm when the convergence speed of Burg alsorithm is low.

  • The efficiency of an adder which plays an important role in micro-process and DSP greatly depends on the kinds of carry generation method. So in this paper. I used both CLA excellent in the speed and CSA best in the chip-size. The 64bit adder is designed with high speed which is two optimum combination. Therefore this paper suggested the way of CLSA improving both speed and chip-size. and proved the excellence of the designed circuit.

  • 딥러닝에서 지식 증류 기법은 큰 모델의 지식을 작은 모델로 전달하여 작은 모델의 성능을 개선하는 방식이다. 지식 증류 기법은 모델 경량화, 학습 속도 향상, 학습 정확도 향상 등에 활용될 수 있는데, 교사 모델이라 불리는 큰 모델은 일반적으로 학습된 딥러닝 모델을 사용한다. 본 연구에서는 학습된 딥러닝 모델 대신에 수치 기반 시뮬레이션 모델을 사용함으로써 어떠한 효과가 있는지 검증하였으며, 수치 모델을 활용한 기상 예측 모델에서의 지식 증류는 기존 단독 딥러닝 모델 학습 대비 더 작은 학습 횟수(epoch)에서도 동일한 에러 수준(RMSE)까지 도달하여, 학습 속도 측면에서 이득이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • A ground moving target's velocity estimation algorithm applicable for a SAR-GMTI system using 2 channel displaced phase center antenna(DPCA) is proposed. In this algorithm, we assume target's across-track velocity can be estimated by along-track interferometry (ATI) and present a method to estimate target's along-track velocity. To accomplish this method, we first transform a radar-target geometry in which a moving target has zero velocity via altering a radar velocity such that target's velocity is reflected into it and next manipulate the spectral centers of the subapertures within the synthetic aperture. The validity of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated through simulation results showing the performance of the target's velocity estimation and the enhancement of reconstructed target image quality in terms of resolution and SINR.

  • To realistically simulate fluid, the Navier-Stokes equations are generally used. Solving these Navier-Stokes equations on the Eulerian framework, the non-linear advection terms invoke heavy computation and thus Semi-Lagrangian methods are used as an approximated way of solving them. In the Semi-Lagrangian methods, the locations of advection sources are traced and the physical values at the traced locations are interpolated. In the case of Stam's method, there are relatively many chances of numerical losses, and thus there have been efforts to correct these numerical errors. In most cases, they have focused on the numerical interpolation processes, even simultaneously using particle-based methods. In this paper, we propose a new approach to reduce the numerical losses, through improving the tracing method during the advection calculations, without any modifications on the Eulerian framework itself. In our method, we trace the grids with the velocities which will let themselves to be moved to the current target position, differently from the previous approaches, where velocities of the current target positions are used. From the intuitive point of view, we adopted the simple physical observation: the physical quantities at a specific position will be moved to the new location due to the current velocity. Our method shows reasonable reduction on the numerical losses during the smoke simulations, finally to achieve real-time processing even with enhanced realities.

  • LMS(Least Mean Square) algorithm requires simple equation and is used widely because of the low complexity. If the convergence speed increase, LMS algorithm has a divergence in case of sharp environment changes. And if a stability increase, the convergence speed becomes slow. This algorithm based on a trade off between fast convergence and system stability. To improve this problem, VSSLMS (Variable Step Size LMS) algorithm was developed. The VSSLMS algorithm improved the convergence speed and performance as adjusting step size using error signal. In this paper, I-VSSLMS algorithm is proposed tor improve the performance of adaptive noise canceller in real-time environments. The proposed algorithm is applied to adaptive noise canceller using TMS320C6713 DSP board and we did simulation by real time. Then we compared performance of each algorithm and demonstrated that proposed algorithm has superior performance.

  • In these days, 3D dynamic simulation is closely related to many industries. In the past, physically-based 3D simulation was used mainly in the car crash or construction related fields, but it also plays an important role in movies or games today. Many mathematical computations are needed to represent the 3D object realistically, but it is difficult to process a large amount of calculations for simulation of application based on CPU in real-time. Recently, with the advanced graphic hardware and improved architecture, GPU can be utilized for the general purposes of computation function as well as graphic computation. Many approaches using GPU have been applied for various research fields. In this paper, we analyze the performance variation of two cloth simulation algorithms based on GPU according to the change of execution properties of GPU shaders in oder to optimize the performance of GPU-based cloth simulation. Cloth simulation is implemented by the spring centric algorithm and node centric algorithm with GPU parallel computing using compute shader of GLSL 4.3. We compare the performance of between these algorithms according to the change of the size and dimension of work group. The experiment is repeated to 10 times during 5,000 frames for each test and experimental results are provided by averaging of FPS. The experimental result shows that the node centric algorithm is executed in higher speed than the spring centric algorithm.

Performance Improvement of IEEE 802.11a WLAN System by Improved Channel Estimation Scheme using Long/Short Training Symbol (Long/Short 훈련심볼을 이용하는 개선된 채널추정기법에 의한 IEEE 802.11a 무선 LAN 시스템의 성능 개선)

  • In this paper, the BER performance of IEEE 802.11a OFDM WLAN system is obtained by simulation and it is shown that the proposed modified channel estimation algorithm improves the channel estimation performance of the system. The wireless channel used in channel simulation includes AWGN and delay spread channel implemented by TDL model. At first, the performance of OFDM WLAN system according to data rate and coding rate defined in standard is evaluated in AWGN channel. Then, imperfect channel estimation in indoor wireless channel is considered. After the performance of conventional channel estimation scheme using only two long training symbols is evaluated, and that of proposed modified channel estimation scheme using additional 8 short training symbol is compared with it. From the simulation results, it is shown that modified channel estimation scheme provides reduced channel estimation error and improves the channel estimation performance due to noise averaging effect with the same preamble format as defined in specification.

  • 본 논문에서는 RFID Tag을 위한 개선된 인증 프로토콜의 설계 및 검증에 관하여 기술한다. 제안한 프로토콜은 ISO/IEC 18000 standard를 기본으로하고 있으며, 강인한 인증을 위해 표준 프로토콜 frame format 을 수정한다. 상호 인증을 위해 three-way challenge response 프로토콜을 사용하며, 인증 알고리듬은 SHA-1이 추가되었다. 제안한 프로토콜의 검증을 위해 Xilinx ISE 6.2i 툴을 사용하여 RFID Tag의 디지털 part를 설계하였고, Virtex Xcv4000 FPGA 를 타겟으로 합성을 수행하였다. RFID Tag의 디지털 part는 Mentor's Modelsim을 이용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고, 동작속도는 약 75MHz를 가지며, 1290개의 슬라이스가 사용되었다.

  • In this paper we proposed of the SEED cipher algorithm which improved cipher intensity. The proposed algorithm has input data of 192bit and key input data of 256bit and it performs 16 Rounds for improvement of cipher intensity. We simulated the algorithm employing C compiler and the Foundation Express Tool so that verified performance of it.
