The aim of research is the evaluation of the $Cr^{6+}$ emission features of the liquid injection through emission experiments in varying conditions, based on a field-mixing ratio. The results showed that the content of $Cr^{6+}$ content in cement measured had an Ordinary Potland Cement (OPC) of 25.3 mg/kg, which constitute the largest portion among the other materials. Likewise, the emission experiment of homo-gel and sand-gel generally satisfied the standard of KSLT (Korea Standard Leaching Test) in waste of 1.5 mg/L, but in case of the standard of KSLT in soil the emission of OPC $Cr^{6+}$ of 4.85 mg/kg. These conditions is a little exceeded the criteria in the ‘Ga’ area in terms of Korea Soil Environmental Preservation Law. In addition, results generated by the mock-up injection facilities revealed that $Cr^{6+}$ emission increased as Water/Cement and injection pressure increased. At injection pressure higher than 4 kg/㎤, $Cr^{6+}$ emission exceeded the water preservation standard of 0.5 mg/L. Similarly, a pattern experiment of C $r^{6+}$ emission according to pH was conducted, in order to evaluate the $Cr^{6+}$ emission features of grout materials in leachate below pH 5 such as pH 4 acid rain or landfill. Results show that $Cr^{6+}$ emission dramatically increased in high acidic or basic state. It indicates that $Cr^{6+}$ emission will probably increase in an environment where grout materials are injected. On the other hand, concentration of leachate was determined in areas where grout materials are used. The results show that the concentration of emission in an ultra purity condition does not manifest intensity, and is affected in the OPC>MC>SC order. It means that the pollutants or $Cr^{6+}$ emission increases with decreasing concentration. As such, $Cr^{6+}$ emission will probably exceed the countermeasure criteria according to the types of gout materials. Similarly, high pressure or injection will cause increased $Cr^{6+}$ emission. Therefore, the selection of materials or mixing ratio should be considered in general as well as according to specific industries, based on the strength and pH of $Cr^{6+}$ emission.
The soil improvement method so far has been developed with an emphasis on enhancing the strength of the ground. A soil improvement method using a excellent cementitious stabilizer in economical efficiency and handling property is mainly used. The soil improvement method using cementitious stabilizer is effective but environmental and human harmful substances are detected and environmental problems such as carbon dioxide emission and groundwater pollution are pointed out. Therefore, as part of an alternative method capable of solving such problems, researches on the soil improvement method incorporating biological technology are being actively carried out. This study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of strength change when mixed with environmentally friendly soil binder and microorganism in clay, and it was analyzed by uniaxial compression test, direct shear test, SEM, XRD. As a results of the test, we confirmed the cementation caused by microbially induced calcite precipitation and the strength increase enhancement by it.
Styrene-maleic anhydride copolymers with different composition (1:1SMA. 5:1SMA) were synthesized and further reacted with sulfuric acid to obtain water soluble copolymers (1:1SSMA, 5:1SSM.4). In the flow experiments of cement mortar mixed with copolymers, 5:1SSMA showed higher fluidity than 1:1SSMA. The cement mortar mixed with 1% 5:1SSMA maintained 95% of original flow after 60 min. On the other hand, the compressive strength of the hardened cement mortars containing 0.5% copolymers after 28 days curing was also examined. The compressive strength of hardened cement mortar containing 5:1SSMA was increased up to 41% compared to the plain while 1:1SSMA was increased up to 29%. As the results, the 5:1SSMA used in this study are greatly expected as a new high range water reducers for the concrete.

Shotcrete concrete is generally used in the form of ready-mixed concrete products using type I ordinary portland cement(hereinafter referred to as OPC) and about 5% of accelerator mixed separately in the field. In this study, we tested the effect of OPC fineness and SO3 content on a penetration resistance, compressive strength of binder for shotcrete using calcium aluminate type accerlerator. And we analysed hydrates and pore structure effects on mortar performance. In the future, it is expected to be useful for manufacturing optimized OPC as a binder for shotcrete.

In this study, environmental problems(i.e., pH elevation and $Cr^{6+}$ detection) occurred by using the cement grout made from CA(calcium aluminate) were evaluated using viscosity agents(MC, chelate polymer). Ordinary portland cement and blaste-furnace slag cement were used by main materials and ACC(blended mixture of calcium aluminate) were used by accelerator for hardening of grout. In addition, viscosity agents were used for preventing pH elevation and heavy metal detection from grouting materials. From the results, it was noted that when chelate polymer was used, pH elevation and $Cr^{6+}$ detection were minimized. However, other cases showed higher pH elevation and $Cr^{6+}$ detection. At test 1 day, $Cr^{6+}$ detection with age presented over 97% of total value and, after that, additional increase was not distinct. As a result of this study, it was acknowledged that, to control pH elevation and heavy-metal (like $Cr^{6+}$) detection, the usage of BSC and chelate polymer is a very useful fact.

In this study, the self-healing effect of a fiber-reinforced cement composite (FRCC) was examined using a drying-wetting test and an outdoor exposure test. The influence of various curing conditions on the self-healing effect of the FRCC was also investigated. The effect of self-healing was evaluated using a permeability coefficient and by investigating the cracks using a optical microscope. The results confirmed that the FRCC was capable of self-healing under a long wetting time and a low drying temperature. In addition, watertight performance by self-healing was shown to have a significant influence on wetting time. Meanwhile, this self-healing effect was enhanced by hydration as a result of rainfall when the FRCC was put under actual environmental conditions. Moreover, it was determined that cracking self-healing can be improved by using the appropriate admixture materials.
The amount of the wood chip ash is expected to increase continuously as demand of wood chip-based heat and electricity increase. Thus, there is increased interest in wood chip ash utilization. In this study, as a program of utilization in wood chip ash, the physical and chemical properties of wood chip ashes generated from a combined heat and power plant were investigated. The chemical analysis showed that the main contents of wood chip ash are composed of silica, alumina and alkali. A possibility of reuse as secondary cementitious materials was investigated by the analysis of strength activity index, and compared with coal ash. The highest value for Strength activity index of wood chip fly ash was 78% at 90 days curing time. This result revealed that wood chip fly ash has the potential to be utilized as the admixture for cementitious material.
