Effect of Hot Water Treatment Times on Moisture Absorption and Germination of Albizzia julibrissin Seeds (열탕처리시간이 자귀나무 종자의 수분흡수 및 발아에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was carried out to examine optimal hot water treatment time in Albizzia julibrissin seeds. Germination and moisture absorption characteristics among intact seeds, immersed seeds for 24 hours in distilled water and hot water treated seeds were surveyed. As result, treated seeds showed a highly significant difference with intact and immersed seeds (p<0.0l). Especially, treated seed for 2.0 minutes represented the highest percent of germination (PG). But mean germination time (MGT) did not have significant difference between non-treatment and treatments (p=0.502). Germination speed and germination performance index showed similar tendency with PG. In percent of moisture absorption (PMA) and moisture absorption rate constant (MARC) treatments had higher values than non-treatment whereas 2.0 minutes treatment was lower than non-treatment in initial moisture absorption rate (IMAR). In relation between germination properties and moisture absorption characteristics, all properties except MGT among germination properties had high correlations with PMA and MARC ($r=0.854{\sim}0.931$,p<0.01) whereas IMAR didn't have correlation.

  • Travel time prediction is an indispensable to many advanced traveler information systems(ATIS) and intelligent transportation systems(ITS). In this paper we propose a method to predict travel time using $Na{\ddot{i}}ve$ Bayesian classification method which has exhibited high accuracy and processing speed when applied to classily large amounts of data. Our proposed prediction algorithm is also scalable to road networks with arbitrary travel routes. For a given route, we consider time-varying average segment velocity to perform more accuracy of travel time prediction. We compare the proposed method with the existing prediction algorithms like link-based prediction algorithm [1] and Micro T* algorithm [2]. It is shown from the performance comparison that the proposed predictor can reduce MARE (mean absolute relative error) significantly, compared with the existing predictors.

Estimation of Velocities of Acoustic Signals and Source Locations in PSC Beam by Acoustic Emission (AE기법을 이용한 PSC보의 음파속도와 음원위치 산정방법)

  • Experimental tests were performed to estimate velocities of the acoustic signals through prestressed concrete beam and source locations using acoustic emission (AE) techniques. Seven AE sensors are mounted on the surface of 5m length test beam with equal spacing and using Schmidt Hammer AE events are made at 18 locations. The velocities of AE signals are estimated using the time differences of arrival times and the distances between the source locations and the AE sensor locations. In addition, using the Least Square Method, the AE source locations are re-evaluated reversely using both of the arrival times and the velocities of AE signals. Test results show the average velocity of the AE signals is about 4,000 m/sec and the velocity decreased with the increase of the distance from source locations to AE sensors due to the effect of attenuation. Based on the estimation of the source locations, it is observed that the errors of source locations are decreased when the velocities of each AE sensor are used rather than the average velocity.

하이브리드 모터를 적용한 초소형 공중발사체 설계

  • 초소형 공중발사체 설계 시 하이브리드 모터의 적용가능성에 대한 연구를 실시하였다. HTPB/LOX를 추진제로 하여 마차바퀴형 연료 그레인, 산화제 탱크 가압방식을 사용하였고, 성능특성을 계산하기 위하여 하이브리드 연료의 연소율이 일정하다고 가정 하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 임무는 중량 3.5kg의 나노위성을 근지점 고도 200km, 원지점 고도 1,500km의 타원궤도로 진입시키는 것을 목적으로 하는 로켓의 1단 부분에 관한 것으로 1단의 발사속도는 M=1.3, 발사고도는 12km, 연소종료 고도는 40km이다. 1단에 대한 페이로드 중량은 127.5kg이고, 속도증가분($\Delta$V)은 3,330m/s이다. 모선은 F-4E를 사용하였고 모선의 특성상 발사체의 총 중량이 1,000kg이하로 제한되고 길이와 직경이 5m${\times}$5m로 제한되나 1단에 대한 길이의 제한조건은 현재까지 명확히 정립되지 않은 상태이다. 설계과정에서의 변수는 연료 그레인 포트 개수, 초기 산화제 플럭스, 연소실 압력을 사용했고, 설계 제한조건은 추진제 중량, 평균 비추력, 평균 추력, 연소시간, 1단 길이, 직경, 연소시간이고, 이들의 범위는 모선의 특성과 초소형 공중발사체의 임무특성에 맞게 설정하였다.

  • 장면 전환 검출 알고리듬은 매 프레임마다 프레임간의 밝기차나 히스트그램 차이를 계산하므로 계산량이 많으며, 검출 속도 또한 느리게 된다. 검색 속도의 향상을 위해 시간적 표본화 방법이 제안되었으나, 적절한 검색 간격을 선택하는 어떠한 기준이나 방법도 제시되지 않았으며, 따라서 검색 간격을 경험에 의해 선택할 수밖에 없었다. 이 논문에서는 동영상의 통계적, 특성, 장면 전환 검색 간격과 장면 전환 검출 시간의 관계를 수식으로 유도하고 실험으로 확인하였다. 또한 최적의 표본화 간격을 유도된 식으로부터 구하고, 동영상의 평균 장면 전환 간격과 관계함을 보였다. 평균 장면 전환 간격이 알려져 있지 않은 동영상에 대해서 최적 검색 간격을 추정할 수 있는 알고리듬을 제안하였다.

Emprical Tests of Braess Paradox (The Case of Namsan 2nd Tunnel Shutdown) (브라이스역설에 대한 실증적 검증 (남산2호터널 폐쇄사례를 중심으로))

  • The Purpose of this study is to test whether Braess Paradox (BP) can be revealed in a real world network. Fer the study, Namsan 2nd tunnel case is chosen, which was shut down for 3 years for repair works. The revelation of BP is determined by analyzing network-wise traffic impacts followed by the tunnel closure. The analysis is conducted using a network simulation model called SECOMM developed for the congestion management of the Seoul metropolitan area. Also, the existence of BP is further identified by a before-after traffic survey result of the major arterials nearby the Namsan 2nd tunnel. The model estimation expected that the closure of Namsan 2nd tunnel improve the network-wise average traffic speed from 21.95km/h to 22.21km/h when the travel demand in the study area and congestion Pricing scheme on Namsan 1st & 3rd tunnels remain unchanged. In addition, the real world monitoring results of the corridors surrounding Namsan 2nd tunnel show that the average speed increases from 29.53km/h to 30.37km/h after the closure. These findings clearly identify the BP Phenomenon is revealed in this case.

  • The current study aimed to identify the characteristics of speech rate and pause in children with spastic cerebral palsy (CP) and their relationships with speech intelligibility. In all, 26 children with CP, 4 with no speech motor involvement and age-appropriate language ability (NSMI-LCT), 6 with no speech motor involvement and impaired language ability (NSMI-LCI), 6 with speech motor involvement and age-appropriate language ability (SMI- LCT), and 10 with speech motor involvement and impaired language ability (SMI-LCI) participated in the study. Speech samples for the speech rate and pause analysis were extracted using a sentence repetition task. Acoustic analysis were made in Praat. First, it was found that regardless of the presence of language impairment, significant group differences between the NSMI and SMI groups were found in speech rate and articulation rate. Second, the SMI groups showed a higher ratio of pause time to sentence production time, more frequent pauses, and longer durations of pauses than the NSMI groups. Lastly, there were significant correlations among speech rate, articulation rate, and intelligibility. These findings suggest that slow speech rate is the main feature in SMI groups, and that both speech rate and articulation rate play important roles in the intelligibility of children with spastic CP.

Development of a Lane Changing Model Yielding Reallstic Lane Usage (차로이용률을 유도하는 차로변경모형의 개발)

  • 전산기술의 발달에 힘입어 근래에 모의실험을 이용한 연속교통류의 미시적 분석이 활발히 수행되고 있고 다양한 모의실험 전산모형이 소개되고 있다. 미시적 연속교통류 전산모의실험은 차량추종모형과 차로변경모형을 적용하여 다양한 운전자들의 차량운행행태를 모사하여 분석하는 실험이다. 전산모형은 난수를 토대로 차량의 자유속도와 초기 발생 차로를 배정하기 때문에 낮은 자유속도를 할당받은 차량이 높은 속도의 차로(예:1차로)로 발생되는 경우가 발생한다. 많은 모의실험모형이 사용하고 있는 차로변경의 가정이 "운전자는 자신이 원하는 속도(자유속도)를 유지한다"는 것이며 그러한 가정만의 적용으로 인해 현실적이지 않은 차로 이용률이 결과되고, 따라서 전산모형을 통한 교통류 흐름분석에 문제를 제공하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 미국 도로국에서 20여년 동안 개발되고 수정되어왔으며 현재 실용적으로 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 Freeway Simulation(FRESIM) 전산모형이 내재한 차로변경모형을 토대로 고속도로 기본구간에서의 선택적 차로변경모형을 제시한다. 제시된 모형에서는 (1)저속의 선행차량이 고속의 후행차량에게 차로를 양보하는 가정이 새롭게 추가되고 (2)FRESIM모형에서 사용하는 상수값을 국내 현장조사를 통하여 도출된 분포식을 통한 값으로 대체하였다. 수집된 자료분석결과 연속 교통류에서의 15% 차두시간은 1.34초이며 차로변경시간은 평균 2.22초인 F분포를 따르고, 자유속도는 정규분포를 따르는 것으로 결과되었다. 모의실험결과 무작위난수를 토대로 배정된 차로로 생성된 차량들이 새롭게 제시된 차로변경모형의 적용으로 현장 차로이용률을 95% 신뢰수준에서 모사하는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • This paper proposes a new concept of coordinating green this which controls 10 traffic intersection systems. For instance, if we have a baseballs game at 8 pm today, traffic volume toward the baseball game at 8 pm today, traffic volume toward the baseball game will be incr eased 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes before the baseball game. at that time we can not pred ict optimal green time Even though there have smart elctrosensitive traffic light system. Therefore, in this paper to improve average vehicle speed and reduce average vehicle waiting time, we created optimal green time using fuzzy rules and neural network. Computer simulation results proved reducing average vehicle waiting time proposed coordinating green time better than electro-sensitive traffic light system. Therefore, in this paper to improvevehicle speed and reduce average vehicle waiting time, we created optiual green time fuzzy rules and neural network. A simple approach to refraction statics with the Generalized Reciprocal Method and the Refraction Convolution Section (GRM과 RCS 방법을 이용한 굴절파 정적 시간차를 구하는 간단한 방법)

  • We derive refraction statics for seismic data recorded in a hard rock terrain, in which there are large and rapid variations in the depth of weathering. The statics corrections range from less than 10 ms to more than 70 ms, often over distances as short as 12 receiver intervals. This study is another demonstration of the importance in obtaining accurate initial refraction models of the weathering in hard rock terrains in which automatic residual statics may fail. We show that the statics values computed with a simple model of the weathering using the Generalized Reciprocal Method (GRM) and the Refraction Convolution Section (RCS) are comparable in accuracy to those computed with a more complex model of the weathering, using least-mean-squares inversion with the conjugate gradient algorithm (Taner et al., 1998). The differences in statics values between the GRM model and that of Taner et al. (1998) systematically vary from an average of 2ms to 4ms over a distance of 8.8 km. The differences between these two refraction models and the final statics model, which includes the automatic residual values, are generally less than 5 ms. The residuals for the GRM model are frequently less than those for the model of Taner et al. (1998). The RCS statics are picked approximately 10 ms later, but their relative accuracy is comparable to that of the GRM statics. The residual statics values show a general correlation with the refraction statics values, and they can be reduced in magnitude by using a lower average seismic velocity in the weathering. These results suggest that inaccurate average seismic velocities in the weathered layer may often be a source of short-wavelength statics, rather than any shortcomings with the inversion algorithms in determining averaged delay times from the traveltimes.
