Stabilizing Water Leveling System Using Modified PI Controller (수정된 PI 제어기를 이용한 수위 제어)

  • In this study, we design a controller that regulates the water leveling system which suffers from the disturbance. A number of control techniques have been reported which can reduce the amplitude of disturbance. But due to input-delay, these methods do not perform as expected. To overcome the problem, this paper introduces a filter and proposes a proportional and integral (PI) controller that combined with the filter (modifed PI controller). Moreover, we combine the controller with disturbance observer (DOB) that can estimate and eliminate disturbance. The proposed controller and combined the controller with DOB are tested using MATLAB.

  • This paper provides an observer-based Η$\infty$ output feedback controller design method for descriptor systems with time-varying delay by just one LMI(linear matrix inequality) condition. The sufficient condition for the existence of controller and the controller design method are presented by perfect LMI approach which can be solved efficiently by convex optimization. The design procedure involves solving an LMI. Since the obtained condition can be expressed as an LMI form all variables including feedback gain and observer gain can be calculated simultaneously by Schur complement changes of variables, and singular value decomposition. Moreover, The proposed controller design algorithm can be extended to the observer-based robust Η$\infty$ output feedback controller design method for descriptor systems with parameter uncertainty and time delay. An example is given to illustrate the results.

  • A conventional sliding mode control approach is often impractical or difficult when it is applied to high order process b because the number of tuning parameters in the sliding mode controller increases with the order of the plant. C Camacho(l996) proposed a design method of a fixed structure sliding mode controller based on a first order plus dead t time approximation to the higher-order process. But, his method has such problems as chattering, over‘shoot, and c command following due to the Taylor the approximation en‘ors for the time delay term of the first order model. In this p paper, a new design technique for a sliding mode controller based on the modified Taylor approximation considered a w weight is developed to improve the Camacho's problems.

  • 전파 지연이 큰 무선 네트워크 환경에서 Time Division Multiple Access(TDMA) 기법은 충돌을 방지하기 위해서 가드 타임을 고려한 슬롯을 운용해야 한다. 이 때, 가드 타임의 길이는 시스템의 통신 반경을 고려한 최대 전파 지연으로 하는 것이 일반적이다. 그러나 실제 환경에서는 노드 간의 거리가 대부분 통신 반경보다 짧기 때문에, 가드 타임의 낭비가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 AGT-TDMA(TDMA with Adaptive Guard Time)을 제안하였다. AGT-TDMA는 노드 간의 거리에 따라 가드 타임을 유동적으로 조정함으로써 낭비되는 가드 타임을 최소화하였다. OPNET 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 AGT-TDMA가 기존 TDMA보다 처리량이 향상되었고, 지연 시간이 단축되었음을 확인하였다.

An Adaptive Batching Scheduling Policy for Efficient User Services (효율적인 사용자 서비스를 위한 적응적 배칭 스케줄링 정책)

  • The waiting delays of users are inevitable in this policy since the services are not taken immediately upon requests but upon every scheduling points. An inefficient management of such delays makes an unfair service to users and increases the possibility of higher reneging rates. This paper proposes an adaptive batch scheduling scheme which improves the average waiting time of users requests and reduces the starvation problem of users requesting less popular movies. The proposed scheme selects dynamically multiple videos in given intervals based on the service patterns which reflect the popularity distribution(Zipf-distribution) and resource utilizations. Experimental results of simulations show that the proposed scheme improves about 20-30 percentage of average waiting time and reduces significantly the starving requesters comparing with those of conventional methods such as FCFS and MQL.

  • In this paper, we proposed an enhanced TCP congestion control algorithm using RTT with congestion window parameter cwnd to minimize the effect of TCP congestion. The proposed scheme could avoid the occurrence of frequent congestion and decrease the delay caused by the recovery time and the using amount of switch buffer. Through the simulation, we showed that the proposed scheme cm acquire higher performance than the existing scheme. There are 22.56% improvement at the average using buffer efficiency, and packet drop rate is 0.1% which is less than existing scheme.

  • Bitcoin-based blockchain technology provides an infrastructure that enables anonymous smart contracts, low-cost remittances, and online payments. However, the block-chain technology that implements the bitcoin has scalability constraints in tradeoffs between throughput and latency. To solve these problems, the Byzantine fault tolerant block-chain technique has been proposed. This technique improves throughput without increasing latency by selecting a leader and constructing many microblocks that do not contain proofs of work within the existing block by the leader. However, this technique may be less secure than existing techniques in selecting the reader.

  • 인터넷은 가변적인 지연, 손실, 제한된 대역폭과 같은 특성을 가진다. 따라서, 인터넷상에서 전송된 비디오는 품질을 보장받지 못한다. H.261, H.263과 같은 진보된 비디오 압축 표준은 제한된 대역폭의 인터넷에서 비디오 전송을 가능하게 한다. 이러한 압축 표준들은 움직임 예측.보상기법을 사용하여 압축된 프레임들은 시간적인 연관성을 가지게 된다. 따라서, 인터넷에서의 패킷 손실은 해당 프레임에 오류를 발생시킬 뿐만 아니라, 오류는 손실되지 않은 이후의 복원된 프레임으로 전파되어 비디오의 품질을 심각하게 떨어뜨린다. 기존에 연구된 오류 전파 방지 기법에는 NEWPRED, Error Tracking(ET), Intra-refreshment가 있고, 패킷 손실 복구 기법에는 재전송 기법과 FEC등이 있다. 그러나 비디오의 전체적인 품질을 향상시키기 위해서는 오류 전파 방지와 손실 복구가 병행되어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통한 대화식 비디오를 전송하는 데 있어서 품질을 향상시키기 위해 손실 자체를 복구할 수 있는 FEC기법에 기반 하면서 참조 프레임 선택(Reference Picture Selection)을 이용하여 패킷 손실에 의한 오류 전파를 방지하는 기법을 제안한다. 실험은 제안된 비디오 오류 제어 기법이 FEC기법과 RPS기법의 장점을 살리면서 단점을 서로 보완하여 비디오의 높은 품질을 유지함을 보인다.

  • A H$\infty$ control theory is applied to the design problem of synthesis filters in a mutirate filter bank. We select a desired pure time-delay system as reference model, and then consider the error system between the mutirate filter bank and the reference model. 1'he synthesis filters minimize the ι$_2$-induced norm of the error system.

  • A H$_{\infty}$ control theory is applied to the design problem of synthesis filters in a mutirate filter bank. We select a desired pure time-delay system as reference model, and then consider the error system between the mutilate filter bank and the reference model. The synthesis filters minimize the ι$_2$-induced norm of the error system.
