GIS Application for Planning Roadway Construction (도로 공사의 시공계획을 위한 GIS의 적용)

  • Roadway construction planning processes involve a large amount of information on design, construction methods, quantities, unit costs, and production rates. GIS (Geographic Information System) is a strong tool for integration and managing various types of information such as spatial and non-spatial data required for roadway construction planning. This paper proposes a GIS-based system for improving roadway construction planning with its 'Spatial Analysis' and 'Visualization' functions. The proposed system cail help construction planner make a proper decision in a unique way by integrating design information and construction information within the system and creating design element modules for space scheduling purposes in real-time with its 'Interactive Planning' function.

  • Consumers have paid attention to various functions of PC's nowadays from its efficiency in the past. This study set limits to adapted computers by consumer needs for their residence facilities and ubiquitous environment in our society. The purpose of this study is to suggest high potentialities of adapted computers and it's design for materializing house ubiquitous system. It has come out from analyzing PC market. The result is that Barebone PC, a kind of set PC, could be one of the most actual way for materializing house ubiquitous system. This study suggests many potentialities of Barebone PC which invites modular system. The existing Barebone PC is a kind of semimanufactures, however the new Barebone PC in this study is a expanded concept of modular system that connected to the area of the electric home appliances. This is inspected by analyzing the relation among potentialities and impotance of set PC design and module.

  • 정적 프로그램 분석기는 프로그램의 결점을 찾아내는 초기 목적에서 진화하여, 역공학. 재공학. 메트릭 검증 등 도구의 front-End 모듈로 많이 쓰이고 있다. 이에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있고. 또 많은 관련 도구들이 소개되었지만, 사용자가 생각을 직접 코드형태로 구현하고, 결과를 모델형태로 표현하여, 시험하고 검증할 수 있도록 도와주는 프레임웍 수준 도구들은 거의 나와있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 정적 프로그램 분석을 쉽게 할 수 있도록 지원하는 기반도구의 설계를 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 언어의 파싱과 시각화 과정의 반복되는 작업들을 추상화하고, 분석 코드를 파싱 코드와 분리함으로써 사용자로 하여금 분석 과정에 집중할 수 있도록 도와준다.

  • 가상현실 기반 훈련 시뮬레이터는 현실에서 재현이 어렵거나 불가능한 상황을 가상공간 상에 구현하여 훈련을 수행할 수 있는 시스템이다. 화학공장, 플랜트 등 대형 기계설비 내에서 발생하는 각종 사고에 대한 대응훈련은 훈련시간 및 비용 증가, 훈련자의 안전 확보가 어렵고 반복적인 훈련 및 평가가 어렵기 때문에 가상현실을 이용한 훈련 시뮬레이터를 통하여 수행되는 것이 바람직하다. 본 논문에서는 대형 기계설비 안전대응 훈련 시뮬레이터의 훈련자 평가 시스템을 설계하였다. 훈련의 정량적인 평가를 위하여 훈련 시나리오 내 임무수행 여부, 수행시간/거리에 대한 평가와 함께 특정 훈련동작에 대한 평가를 실시하기 위하여 모션캡쳐 데이터를 활용한 훈련동작 평가 모듈을 설계하였다. 평가 결과의 시각화를 통해 훈련자 피드백 제공 및 반복적인 훈련 수행을 통한 안전대응 능력 향상이 가능하다.

  • 하천과 호소수에서 상당 부분의 수자원을 얻는 국내 상황을 고려할 때 하천 수질사고는 심각한 상황을 초래할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 이동할 수 있는 수질 측정 장치와 측정한 수질 정보를 웹 페이지를 통해 사용자에게 제공하는 시스템을 제안한다. 수질 측정 장치는 모형 배 형태이다. 관리자는 블루투스 통신으로 수질 측정 장치를 조종할 수 있다. 측정한 수질 정보를 와이파이 모듈을 통해 외부 서버의 데이터베이스에 저장한다. 사용자는 웹 페이지를 통해 실시간으로 측정되는 수질 정보를 확인할 수 있다. 구현 결과, 가벼운 무게와 조종 가능한 특성으로 이동성의 개선과 웹페이지를 통한 실시간 시각화를 확인하였다.

A Study On the Design of Preventive Index of Maritime Accidents (선박사고 예방지수 설계에 관한 연구)

  • Despite the fact that navigation technology and educational programs were developed and maritime law has been enforced strictly, the number of maritime accidents has not dropped significantly. In order to reduce traffic accidents at sea, the preventive index for maritime accidents is designed and measured to evaluate and visualize the activities performed. The survey module is composed of preventive domains such as education, engineering, enforcement and information. The index was abstracted from the statistics of maritime accidents causes(2010~2012). It can be evaluated by using the newly developed survey modules. It was found that there is some correlation between the index value and the accident rate of maritime traffic. It is expected that this index will become another useful tool to help prevent maritime accidents.

  • The ESE (Earth Systems Education) teaching module was developed to teach an "Earth and Star" unit for the 8th grade (aged 14) students. The planet remodeling activity was developed as a sub-ESE teaching module. The main point of this activity was that students were supposed to remodel planets for life to live on. The purpose of this study was to visualize students' thought and to interpret their understandings through their drawings and writings. A framework of analysis with four categories was designed and applied to analyze students' cognitive structure. In order to explore students' cognitive contents, the analyzing factors were classified into two domains: subsystems of the earth systems and use of science & technology. Results revealed via the planet remodeling activity that students' cognitive characteristics were impacted by ESE activities such as Earth literacy.

  • In this paper, a "Vehicle Analysis System(VAS) using cloud and data mining" is proposed that store all the sensor data measured in the vehicle in the cloud, analyze the stored data using the classification model, and provide the analyzed data in real time to the driver's display. The VAS consists of two modules. First, Sensor Data Communication Module(SDCM) stores the sensor data measured in the vehicle in a table of the cloud server and transfers the stored data to the analysis module. Second, Sensor Data Analysis Module(SDAM) analyzes the received data using the genetic algorithm and provides analyzed result to the driver in real time. The VAS stores sensor data collected in the vehicle in the cloud server without accumulating it in the vehicle, and stored data is analyzed in the cloud server, so that the sensor data can be quickly and efficiently managed without overloading the vehicle. In addition, the information desired by the driver can be visualized on the display, thereby increasing the stability of the autonomous vehicle.

  • Demand for "pet plants" and "planteriers" is increasing due to the increase in COVID-19 and fine dust. In this paper, Smart pots for planterior should be small in size while providing the functions for cultivation without any problems. They should provide a user interface for long-range control for user's convenience. We implemented smart pots by incorporating IoT into pots. In response to the growing number of iPhone users, we developed an iOS app for user interface and UX/UI design. By communicating with the smartphone app and a home pot server over the Internet, users can check and control the state of the pot anytime, anywhere. The server and the pot module were separated to reduce the size of the pot itself. By locating a water bottle at the bottom of the pot, we expect that it is suitable for a "planterier" because it adopts a circulating structure in which drainage flows down to the water bottle as it is.

  • The existing EMTP(Electromagnetic Transients Program) is writted by FORTRAN-77, has a closed architecture and uses a large number of code lines to satisfy requirements ranging from low level data manipulation to the actual solution mathematics which eventually become diluted and almost impossible to visualize. Thus has a difficulty in the development and maintenenace of its program module. This paper proposes a new design idea suitable (or a re-development of EMTP using the MATLAB and VISUAL-C++, which presents the development of the new EMTP package is operated in the window environment. The package has the GUI(Graphic User Interface) ability, and the MATLAB computation engine for an analysis of a transient state in an electric circuit.
