Although in art an idea which visualizes a certain concept is generally such an essential part as it would be decisive to the success or failure of an art work in reality various difficulties are involved in idea making. Thus, directions for the idea making for visualization works are suggested in this paper. This paper classifies several cases of expression skills among non-abstracts showing the contents which visualize abstract concepts in western art after Renaissance when freedom of individual artistic expression and personal characteristics initiated. Also, this paper selects and introduces art works in which expression skills can be obviously explained. The expression skills are divided into symbolizing, allegory, specific pattern, non-abstract skills of surrealism, metaphysical distortion of logic and situation fixing, and specific examples on how the abstract concepts are formed and delivered are described. This is a case study done for the purpose of supplying help for the idea making in the applied art field which is lack of this kind of study.

This paper shows results of the precise time comparison technique based on GPS code transfer in order to determine the UTC(Universal Time Coordinated) and generate TAI(International Atomic Time). CGGTTS(CCTF Group on GNSS Time Transfer Standards) which is generated by GPS timing receivers is used as the international standard format. For geodetic receivers which provide RINEX formats as GPS time transfer results, ROB(Royal Observatory of Belgium) developed a conversion program, r2cggtts, and have distributed the program to timing laboratories participating in TAI link all over the world. Timing laboratories generate the time comparison results of GPS code transfer by the program and send them to BIPM(Bureau International des Poids et Mesures) periodically. In this paper, we introduce the delay features generated while GPS code is transferred and the calibration methods of them. Then, we introduce the tropospheric delay and analyze the results of Saastamoinen model and NATO(North Atlantic Treaty organization) model. Saastamoinen model is the representative tropospheric zenith path delay model and NATO model is applied to the legacy r2cggtts program.

Visual messages are fundamental elements for performing communication and indicate the signs which are delivered from the communicator to the communicatee via channels, Generally, we can classify visual messages into two groups; linguistic factors which are rational and deliver abstract concepts and unlinguistic factors which are mental and can be expressed concretely. Especially, web site with receivers' low attention and concentration need images which can attract their attention to visual messages. That is, web site is a medium which allows us to feel visual and emotional experiences. We can call it a standard of sign systems which are consisted of various styles of digital texts. The main purpose of this study lies in that we'll analyze how homepage introductory page as one of the forms of digital text conduces a meaning action to the receivers and that we'll apprehend the structures of images and different types of signs via a semiotic approach and analyze the underlying meaning of the messages. In order to survey the structures of images we'll look into the attitude toward perceiving messages by using semantic differential method which has been developed mostly by Osgood and analyze the visual images by adopting sign types of Fuss. As the signification is created by combining signs, it is significant that we'll analyze the meaning of sings between the transmitters and receivers from the semiotic viewpoint and study the signification systems.

모바일 환경에서 휴대폰을 사용하다 보면 무의식적으로 전화를 받지 못하는(Missing call) 상황이 빈번하게 일어난다. 휴대폰에서는 기본적으로 시각 청각 촉각의 다중양식 피드백(Multimodal feedback)을 제공하고 있음에도 불구하고, 이렇게 Missing call 이 발생하는 현상에는 여러 가지 다양한 원인이 존재할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 원인을 찾기 위해 모바일 환경 내 휴대폰 사용자 행동연구를 실시하여 일반적인 휴대패턴을 분석하고, Missing call과 관련하여 주로 설정하는 수신모드와 휴대패턴의 상호영향을 연구하고자 하였다. 본 연구결과, 모바일 환경에서 휴대폰 수신 탐지능력에는 인지심리학적(감각과 주의관련), 환경적, 행동학적 요인이 영향을 미칠 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 모바일 환경에서 주로 사용하는 수신모드인 진동모드 설정시, 휴대폰 사용자가 속한 환경에 다른 요인들이 복합적으로 존재할 경우 휴대폰 수신에 대한 탐지만족도가 감소함을 확인할 수 있었다.

In the era of the fourth industrial revolution, the application of big data analysis technology is crucial in various industries. In this regard, considerable research is necessary to improve aquafarming productivity, particularly in fish culture, which is one of the primary industries in the world. In this study, a sample experiment using a flop was conducted to improve oyster productivity in fish farms, and a flush was installed in an environment similar to aquaculture farms. Thereafter, the temperature data of the water environment where the formation of burrows considerably improved were collected; the growth rate of burrow seeds was also measured. The gathered experimental data were examined by time series data analysis. Finally, a system that visualizes the analysis results based on big data is proposed. In accord with the results of this study, it is expected that more advanced research on the productivity improvement of oyster aquafarming will be performed.

Lucie Rie as an individual ceramist in terms of contemporary meaning was influenced by early 20th century's academic education and the ideology of modern formative arts. Modernity in her ceramic works has had a dramatic exert on numerous potters. Also, she is highly required to be studied in the history of modern pottery as a potter who took the initiative of studio pottery by the individual artistic handicraft. This paper considered an analysis of characteristics and techniques of 20C Modernistic ceramist Lucie Rie's works and activities. The body of this research investigated classification by chronicles and stylistic characteristics of her activity in the background of early 20th century European Modernism which influenced her formative arts. In addition, this article attempted to build up more specific comprehension on Lucie Rie's works and production process through an analysis of her techniques and artistic know-how..

The growth of Web comics is very noticeable in Korean comic market as the 21st century is entered. In amongst these1 trends, the scroll comics had established it self as one of the main stream form for expression, outside the form of the traditional published comics, so it is providing a new visual experience for the readers. The scroll method uses the large vertical space that is uncomparable to the column compartment of the printed comics, and its uses of animation-like techniques, innovative partitioning, flob styles and narration partition positioning, the limitless canvas and the scroll bar of the web page, is leading the digital comic age. However, it is still very uncertain whether the 'scroll comics' will still be valid in the age of Web2.0. It is concerning that even though there are limitless potential in the realms of digital and web, the web comics seem to be bound to one particular medium, 'scroll'. In this report, the form of expression in the scroll centered web comics will be analyzed, and based on this, the future evolution of digital comics shall be investigated.

본 연구에서는 한국어 음성어휘의 표상이 음성정보로 이루어져 있는지 아니면 철자정보로 이루어져 있는지와, 음성어휘의 표상단위가 음절인지를 조사하였다. 연구 과제로는 형태점화기법(form priming technique)을 사용하였다. 점화 자극과 목표 자극간의 관련성 수준으로는 음운적 혹은 철자적인 것을 사용하였다. 점화 자극과 목표자극간의 간격은 50msec 이었다. 따라서 SOA 각 점화자극의 제시시간에 50msec를 합한 것이다. 연구 결과는 음운적으로 관련되어 있을 때에는 무관련 조건에 비해 느려지는 방해점화(inhibitory priming)가 나타났고 철자적으로 관련되어 있는 경우에는 촉진적점화(facilitatory priming)가 나타났다. 이런 연구 결과는 시각단어 재인 연구에서도 보이는 공통적인 현상으로 음성어휘와 시각어휘가 심성어휘표상에서는 동일한 형태를 지니고 있음을 암시한다. 또한 음운적 관련성에 의한 방해점화효과는 음운음절을 공유하고 있는 어휘 후보자간의 경쟁 때문에 나타난 것으로 해석되며, 철자관련 촉진효과는 어휘접근 전에 일어나는 과정에서 나타나는 것으로 해석된다.

This paper proposes a computational model which can simulate peculiar language phenomena observed in human lexical decision task. The model is designed to mimic major language phenomena such as frequency effect, lexical status effect, word similarity, and semantic priming effect. The experimental results show that the propose model replicated the major language phenomena and performed similar performance with that of human in LDT.

Driving aircraft requires extremely complicated and detailed information processing. Pilots perform their tasks by selecting the information relevant to them. In this processing, spatial information presented simultaneously through crossmodal link is advantageous over the one provided in singular sensory mode. In this paper, probability to apply providing visual spatial information along with auditory information to enemy tracking system in aircraft navigation is empirically investigated. The result shows that auditory spatial information, which is virtually created through HRTF is advantageous to visual spatial information alone in attention processing. The findings suggest auditory spatial information along with visual one can be presented through crossmodal link by utilizing stereophonic sound such as HRTF. which is available in the existing simple stereo system.
