Durability Evaluation of Gangway Ring for the Articulated Bogie of High speed Railway Vehicle (고속철도차량 관절대차 갱웨이 링의 내구성 평가)

  • To improve ride quality and running stability of high speed train(HST), it is important that connection between coaches adopts the articulated bogies by using a gangway ring, unlike the conventional independent bogies assembled with car bodies. Although the gangway ring should be ensured absolute safety against passenger movement between coaches during train operation, there is still a lack of quantitative durability criteria of that. Therefore, in order to improve the passenger safety of HST, it is important to study the test requirements on durability evaluation for the ring. In this study, seven mixed loading cases were derived from the triaxial loading(vertical/lateral/longitudinal) modes. The safety factor of each component is at least 2.4 or more from the results of the finite element analysis. In addition, fatigue safety was evaluated through durability analysis from the viewpoint of strain-life design. Durability tests for the gangway ring carried out a total of 10 million cycles in 4 phases load conditions. After the durability test, the defect of each component was investigated using nondestructive testing techniques.

Ride Comfort Evaluation of Electronic Control Suspension Using a Magneto-rheological Damper (MR 댐퍼를 이용한 전자제어 현가장치의 승차감 평가)

  • This paper presents design and control of electronic control suspension(ECS) equipped with controllable magnetorheological(MR) damper for passenger vehicle. In order to achieve this goal, a cylindrical type MR fluid damper that satisfies design specification of a middle-sized commercial passenger vehicle is proposed. After manufacturing the MR damper with design parameters, their field-dependent damping forces are experimentally evaluated and compared with those of a conventional damper. A quarter-vehicle MR ECS system consisting of sprung mass, spring, tire, controller and the MR damper is established in order to investigate the ride comfort performances. On the basis of the governing equation of motion of the suspension system, five control strategies(soft, hard, comfort, sport and optimal mode) are formulated. The proposed control strategies are then experimentally realized with the quarter-vehicle MR ECS system. Control performances such as vertical acceleration of the car body and tire deflection are evaluated in frequency domains on random road condition. In addition, performance comparison of WRMS(weighted root mean square) of the quarter-vehicle MR ECS system on random road are undertaken in order to investigate ride comfort characteristics.

  • Virtual seat method(VSM) which is an evaluation method combined objective and subjective process is used in this study in order to determine seat comfort index of idle vibration of passenger vehicle. The VSM is implemented by two steps which are for objective index in the first step and for subjective estimation in the second step. In the study, two seats mounted on passenger vehicle was compared in terms of dynamic seat comfort by six subjects employed for the VSM method as well as SEAT value which is a conventional objective method. It is concluded that the dynamic comfort index by the VSM is more reliable than the SEAT value thanks to adding subjective evaluation on top of the objective result.

  • In these days, customers require high-quality, high-performance, high-ride comfort for Automobile and then the automotive manufacturers concentrated on study of electrical, high-performance, low-cost of parts and sub-parts. In this paper, for ride comfort estimation PSD(Power Spectral Density) of acceleration at eight test point are measured, and then are calculated with new index of ride comfort. The new index of ride comfort developed for optimal design, real test, applied the actual. It can apply for various fields.

  • 영국 던로프의 기술진이 개발한 공기입타이어의 제3의 혁명이라고 할 수 있는 "던로프, 토오탈모오빌리티, 타이어"의 공개 실험이 행해졌다. 답정을 해도 바아스트롤 해도 공기없이 주행단속하길 300Km, 스피이드도 내면 100Km는 갈수 있다고 한다. 뿐만 아니라 승차감도 좋다고 하니 말하자면 "마법의 타이어"라고 할 수 있겠다. 그리고 보도관계자등 300명의 면전에서 그 타이어를 파열시켜서 주행해 보였다. 거기에는 마법은 아니고 새로운 타이어의 세계를 크게 느끼게 하는 기풍이 있었다. 그래서 본지는 테스트의 성공, 견학자의 높은 평가를 고려해서 기업의 마법인 연출(운영)과 기술(테스트)을 밐스해서 그날의 인기 타이어를 추적해 보았다. 주최자는 가우(sumitomo)고무공업, 일본던로프이다. 사실은 꼭 듯든 그대로였다.

  • 신 차종의 개발 시, 기존 차량 모델을 사용하여 재 설계하는 방식에 의해 전례 없이 빠르게 차량 개발을 수행하고 있다. 또한 대부분의 이들 후속 차량은 공통 플렛폼 상에 설계되고 있으며, 일반적으로 충격, 구조 건전성, 생산 타당성 검토 등의 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션은 개발 프로세서 초기 단계에서 행하여 지고 있으나. NVH 엔지니어링은 차량 개발 프로세스의 매우 중요한 과정으로 되어 있음에도 불구하고, 실내 소음, 진동 승차감, 피로 수명 예측 등은 사용되는 해석 모델의 크기 및 복잡성으로 인하여 이들 성능 특성 평가 및 최적화는 아직 도전 과제이며, 본 논문에서는 몇몇 선진 OEM에서 수행되고 있는 NVH 개발 프로세스와 이를 가능케 하는 기법을 소개한다.

  • Recently“ride comfort”problem becomes increasingly important because of today's needs for train speedup The concept of term “riding comfort” is equivocal. Generally it is defined as the vehicle vibration. There are many studies on evaluation method of ride comfort for railway. But each of then recommends the different assessment method and the different guidance. So users must review whether they can apply it to their system or not. In this paper, we discuss the evaluation methods defined in the standards - ISO 2631, UIC 513 R, CEN DRAFT prENV 12299 and the ride index suggested by Sperling.

A Study on the Evaluation of Vibration′s Environment in the Korean (인체 진동을 고려한 국내의 대중 교통 수단의 진동환경 평가에 관한연구)

  • This paper introduces experimental results related to the vibration ride conditions that a korean male subject experienced in the nationwide railway trains and the express bus. Two types of railway train's Saemaulho and Mugunghwaho. and the express bus were chosen to measure how much the whole-body vibrations on the contact area of the back , hip and feet are exposed to the subject. Measured vibration signals were analysed to assess the rife conditions quantitatively and qualitatively. Analysed results are illustrated to unveil how much typical public transportation system in Korea expose whole-body vibration to passengers. Futhermore, the performance evaluation of their seats were carried out to examine their effectiveness in reducing vibration exposure to passengers.

자동차 실내소음 저멸기술

  • 경량화와 저연비의 추세에도 불구하고 자동화의 안락감에 대한 고객의 요구 수준은 더욱 높아 가고 있다. 따라서 이와 같은 승차감을 대표하는 요소의 실내소음은 여전히 상품 평가의 중요한 지표가 되고 있으며 최근 이 방면의 기술 역시 요구에 상응하는 속도로 발전하고 있다. 모든 기계 요소의 소음의 수준은 곧 개개의 부품에 대한 완벽성을 총체적으로 평가하는 수단이며 이는 발생원, 전달계, 응답계등 모든 측면에서의 기술 수준을 대변한다. 최근 컴퓨터와 수치 해석법 그리고 실험장치의 발달에 힘입어 이들 각각에 대한 보다 신속하고 정확한 저감대책 수립은 물론 상호간의 연성 문제까지를 포함한 해석이 가능해 지고 있으며 이를 이용한 저소음 차량 개발 노력이 경주되고 있다. 자동차 보유 댓수가 급격히 증가 되고 있는 국내 여건은 물론 자동차 산업이 수출 전략적 측면에서의 위치를 굳히고 있는 현시점에서 생활공간의 일부인 자동차의 실내소음 저감에 더욱 많은 연구발전이 있기를 기대한다.
