Effects of Wage Subsidies through the Lens of the Bayesian-Estimated DSGE Model (베이지언 기법 추정의 DSGE 모형을 이용한 고용보조금정책 효과)

  • This paper incorporates the Diamond-Mortensen-Pissarides search and matching framework into the DSGE model. We estimate the model using a Bayesian estimation methodology on Korean data (1991:1-2020:1). Using the estimated model, we investigate the quantitative effects of wage subsidies. Wage subsidies increase matched firms' profits by reducing labor costs which leads to increases in new matches, employment and output. We find that for one percent of GDP in wage subsidies, the cumulative increase in the output level will be greater than 1 percent.

An Efficient Response Analysis Method for a Structural System Using Substructure Modes (부분구조의 모드를 이용한 구조계의 효율적 응답해석)

  • An efficient method for determining forced responses of a general linear structural system in time domain using subtructure modes and Lagrange multipliers is presented. Compared with the conventional mode synthesis methods, the suggested method does not construct the equations of motion of the combined whole structure and thus the modal parameters of the whole structure are not required. Only modal parameters of each substructure and geometric compatibility conditions are needed. Both the loaded interface free-free modes and free interface modes can be employed as the modal bases of each substructure. Recurrence discrete-time state equations based upon state transition matrix are formulated for the transient analysis of a parameter-changing system. It is shown form numerical examples that the suggested method is very accurate and efficient to calculate transient responses compares with the direct numerical integration method.

Pressure Distribution over Tube Surfaces of Tube Bundle Subjected to Two-Phase Cross-Flow (이상 유동에 놓인 관군의 표면에 작용하는 압력 분포)

  • Two-phase vapor-liquid flows exist in many shell and tube heat exchangers such as condensers, evaporators, and nuclear steam generators. To understand the fluid dynamic forces acting on a structure subjected to a two-phase flow, it is essential to obtain detailed information about the characteristics of a two-phase flow. The characteristics of a two-phase flow and the flow parameters were introduced, and then, an experiment was performed to evaluate the pressure loss in the tube bundles and the fluid-dynamic force acting on the cylinder owing to the pressure distribution. A two-phase flow was pre-mixed at the entrance of the test section, and the experiments were undertaken using a normal triangular array of cylinders subjected to a two-phase cross-flow. The pressure loss along the flow direction in the tube bundles was measured to calculate the two-phase friction multiplier, and the multiplier was compared with the analytical value. Furthermore, the circular distributions of the pressure on the cylinders were measured. Based on the distribution and the fundamental theory of two-phase flow, the effects of the void fraction and mass flux per unit area on the pressure coefficient and the drag coefficient were evaluated. The drag coefficient was calculated by integrating the measured pressure on the tube by a numerical method. It was found that for low mass fluxes, the measured two-phase friction multipliers agree well with the analytical results, and good agreement for the effect of the void fraction on the drag coefficients, as calculated by the measured pressure distributions, is shown qualitatively, as compared to the existing experimental results.

Economic Impact of Andong Maskdance Festival -using Regional Input-Output Model- (안동국제탈춤페스티벌의 경제적 파급효과 분석 -지역산업연관모델을 중심으로-)

  • This paper examines the estimate the economic impact of 2008 Andong Maskdance Festival, using an Input-Output(I-O) model. For the research, the Regional Input-Output analysis was used, which makes it easy to grasp the economic impact of the tourism industry and other industries in Andong. Based on the regional I-O transactions tables which were developed by Bank of Korea(2009), the industry multipliers were derived with respect to output, income, and value-added. The results show that in 2008 Andong Maskdance Festival receipts generated output impact of 30,961 million won and 15,800 million won of income impact, 14,310 million won of value-added impact, respectively. I think the result of this study can be used as an objective indicator to help to establish and implement regional festival policies for the local government.

Expenditures Patterns by Korean Wave Event Audiences and Economic Impact of Direct Spending on a Inchoen City (인천한류관광콘서트 방문객의 소비지출 패턴 및 경제적 파급효과)

  • This study is to investigate the expenditure patterns that was generated by visitors who attended The Korean Music Wave Festival and analyze economic impact derived from that event. The target is the foreign visitors who attended '2011 Incheon Korean Music Wave'. Total of 407 questionnaires were collected. The collected data were analyzed to produce spending patterns using Tobit models. Also, tourism multipliers were employed to identify the economic impact. This results show that expenditure determinants such as demographic variables and satisfaction as independent variables are significant in estimating visitors' expenditures. Also, In addition economic impact derived from direct spending was substantially over committed cost. Accordingly, this result can contribute to providing basic information for marketing strategy that generates the economic effect on the destination. Moreover, the result can be utilized when establishing the strategy that can maximize the economic impact based on the spending patterns.

금융적(金融的) 충격(衝擊) 거시경제적(巨視經濟的) 효과(效果)에 대한 분석(分析): 금융실명제(金融實名制)의 효과(效果)를 중심으로

  • 본고(本稿)에서는 다양한 형태의 금융충격(金融衝擊)의 거시경제효과(巨視經濟效果)를 분석하기 위해, 모든 금융충격(金融衝擊)을 통화의 지불수단으로서의 이용률(利用率)을 급격하게 변화시킴으로써 화폐시장(貨幣市場)에 초과수요나 초과공급을 초래하는 현상으로 이해하고, 동 충격을 유통속도충격(流通速度衝擊)과 통화승수충격(通貨乘數衝擊)으로 분리하여 그 규모를 추정할 수 있도록 전자(前者)는 은행의 예금회전율(預金回轉率)과 현금통화보유성향(現金通貨保有性向)에 의해, 후자(後者)는 현금통화보유성향과 지급준비보유성향에 의해 설명하는 일반적인 모형을 개발했다. 동 모형을 아용하여 80년대 이후 우리나라의 금융충격사례(金融衝擊事例)에 대해 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 82년 거액어음사기사건과 7.3조치에 의한 실명제예고조치(實名制豫告措置)는 M2를 3% 이상 감소시키는 효과를 초래하였으나, 실제로는 통화당국의 대응으로 오히려 3.0% 수준의 M2가 초과공급된 반면, 1988년의 금융실명제(金融實名制) 실시예고와 민간(民間)에 의한 1993년 8월 12일의 금융실명제실시예견은 M2를 각각 3.9% 및 4.9% 감소시키는 효과를 초래하여 정부의 통화공급대응(通貨供給對應)에도 불구하고 결과적으로는 각각 0.8% 및 0.6% 수준의 M2 과소공급을 초래한 것으로 추정되었다. 93년 8월 12일의 금융실명제 전격실시는 개략적으로 7~8%의 M2 통화량감소효과를 초래한 것으로 추정되지만, 실제로는 통화당국(通貨當局)의 신축적 통화공급으로 0.3~0.6% 정도의 M2 초과공급이 이루어진 것으로 추정되었다. 한편 본고(本稿)에서는 이와 같이 추정된 사례별 금융충격의 거시경제효과(巨視經濟效果) 시뮬레이션 결과(結果)도 같이 보여주고 있다.

The Effects of the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project on Regional Economy (4대강 살리기 사업의 지역경제 파급효과)

  • The 4 major rivers restoration project (4RRP) requires the government to invest a lot of money. Regional economic effect is one of the main purposes of implementing the 4RRP. This paper attempts to measure the regional economic effects, focusing on regional employment-inducing effect and regional income-inducing effect. Regional employment-inducing effect is computed by excluding indirect effect and directly investigating the amount of employment. To this end, marginal propensity to consume, household consumption, household income should be derived. We used working day data and government expenditure multiplier to measure local employment creation and income generation. As a result, the project creates 46,628 employments from 2009 to 25 August 2011 and generates 25 trillion won regional income for three years.

Spatially Adaptive Wavelet Thresholding for Image Denosing (공간 적응적 웨이블릿 임계화를 사용한 영상의 노이즈제거)

  • This paper propose the new spatially adaptive wavelet thresholding for image denosing. The method of wavelet thresholding for denosing, has been concentrated on finding the best uniform threshold or best basis. However, not much has been done to make this method adaptive to spatially changing statistics which is typical of a large class of images. Experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms level dependent thresholding techniques and is comparable to spatial Wiener filtering method in matlab.

Effect of Die Angle in the Hydrostatic Extrusion of Copper-clad Aluminium Composites (Copper-clad Aluminium 복합재료의 정수압 압출시 다이 각이 미치는 효과)

  • A copper-clad aluminium composite bar is lighter and less expressive than a commercial copper alloy bar. Copper-clad aluminium composite bar can be fabricated by hot hydrostatic extrusion process. In this work, the effect of die angle on the compressive properties of copper-clad aluminium composites fabricated using hydrostatic extrusion process was investigated experimentally. The results showed that optimum half die angle was in the range of 40$^{\circ}$ to 50$^{\circ}$ for an extrusion ratio of 19. The results also showed that the half die angle had little influence on the compressive strength of copper-clad aluminium composites. A diffusion layer increased with increasing die angle.

전기응집장치에 의한 폐수의 전처리 효과에 관한 연구

  • 폐수의 부하량 감소를 위하여 전처리단계에서 전기응집장치를 이용한 총인 및 총질소, 생물화학적산소요구량과 화학적 산소요구량 등을 측정하고자 실험을 하였다. 실험결과 철 전극에서는 총인제거효율이 가장 높았으며, 총질소 제거 효율은 두 회사 폐수 모두 낮았다. Sus 및 Ti전극에서는 제거효율이 미미하였다. 따라서 부하량 감소를 위한 폐수의 전처리시 철전극사용시 가장효율이 좋으며, 부하량 감소는 90%이상임을 알 수 있었다.
