  • Networks are growing faster than ever before causing a multi-domain complexity. The diversity, variety and dynamic nature of network traffic and services require enhanced orchestration and management approaches. While many standard orchestrators and network operators are resulting in an increase of complexity for handling E2E slice orchestration. Besides, there are multiple domains involved in E2E slice orchestration including access, edge, transport and core network each having their specific challenges. Hence, handling of multi-domain, multi-platform and multi-operator based networking environments manually requires specified experts and using this approach it is impossible to handle the dynamic changes in the network at runtime. Also, the manual approaches towards handling such complexity is always error-prone and tedious. Hence, this work proposes an automated and abstracted solution for handling E2E slice orchestration using an intent-based approach. It abstracts the domains from the operators and enable them to provide their orchestration intention in the form of high-level intents. Besides, it actively monitors the orchestrated resources and based on current monitoring stats using the machine learning it predicts future utilization of resources for updating the system states. Resulting in a closed-loop automated E2E network orchestration and management system.

Optimization-based Deep Learning Model to Localize L3 Slice in Whole Body Computerized Tomography Images (컴퓨터 단층촬영 영상에서 3번 요추부 슬라이스 검출을 위한 최적화 기반 딥러닝 모델)

  • In this paper, we propose a deep learning model to detect lumbar 3 (L3) CT images to determine the occurrence and degree of sarcopenia. In addition, we would like to propose an optimization technique that uses oversampling ratio and class weight as design parameters to address the problem of performance degradation due to data imbalance between L3 level and non-L3 level portions of CT data. In order to train and test the model, a total of 150 whole-body CT images of 104 prostate cancer patients and 46 bladder cancer patients who visited Gangneung Asan Medical Center were used. The deep learning model used ResNet50, and the design parameters of the optimization technique were selected as six types of model hyperparameters, data augmentation ratio, and class weight. It was confirmed that the proposed optimization-based L3 level extraction model reduced the median L3 error by about 1.0 slices compared to the control model (a model that optimized only 5 types of hyperparameters). Through the results of this study, accurate L3 slice detection was possible, and additionally, we were able to present the possibility of effectively solving the data imbalance problem through oversampling through data augmentation and class weight adjustment.

  • 2차원 슬라이스 영상으로부터 volume rendered 이미지를 생성하기 위해서는 2차원 영상의 pixel 데이터를 voxel 기반으로 재구성해야 한다. 영상을 재구성하면서 생성되는 voxel value 는 3차원 영상을 2차원 화면으로 원근 투영할 때 최종 픽셀값을 결정하는 기본 요소가 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 조합되는 voxel value를 결정하는 Transfer Function를 이용한 intensity 와 gradient magnitude 의조작을 통하여 최종 3차원 이미지에서 오브젝트의 surface 뿐만 아니라 내부의 서로 다른 조직끼리의 경계 영역을 가시화하여 보았다.

  • This paper describes $\mu$-law PCM/ADPCM Code Conversion System. The system algorithm is computer-simulated, and with the result of simulation the system is designed by using the Am 2900 family's Bit-Slice Microprocessors which have a high-speed processing power. The ADPCM algorithm is based on Jayant's model and the converting algorithm between $\mu$-law PCM and linear PCM is developed according to the CCITT Recommendation G. 711.

  • 본 고에서는 최근 표준화가 진행되어 2020년에 표준화 완성을 앞두고 있는 VVC의 표준 기술들 중에서 화면 정보를 구성하는 픽쳐의 부호화 단위 및 분할 구조에 대해 설명한다. 본 고에서 설명되는 내용들은 VTM 6.0을 기준으로 삼는다. 세부적으로는 한 개의 픽처를 분할하는 구조들인 슬라이스, 타일, 브릭, 서브픽처에 대해서 설명한 후, 이 구조들의 내부를 구성하는 CTU 및 CU의 분할 구조에 대해서 설명한다.

  • 프로그램 슬라이싱은 프로그램의 특정 문장에서 변수에 영향을 주는 문장들을 분해하는 방법으로 디버깅, 최적화, 프로그램 유지보수, 테스팅, 재사용 부품 추출 그리고 프로그램 이해를 포함하는 여러 응용 분야들에서 그 유용성을 확인할 수 있다. 본 논문은 포인터 변수와 포인터 변수에 의해 참조되는 동적 객체, 구조체, 배열을 포함하는 프로그램에 대한 정확한 슬라이스 생성에 관한 연구이다. 포인터 변수와 같은 복잡한 구조를 가지는 프로그램에서 포인터 변수나 포인터 변수가 참조하는 객체의 상태를 파악하기 위해서 객체 참조상태 그래프를 제시한다.

Applicability of Continuous Process Using Saturated and Superheated Steam for Boxed Heart Square Timber Drying (대단면 수심정각재 건조를 위한 포화-과열증기 연속 건조 공정의 이용가능성 평가)

  • This study aims to evaluate applicability for the continuous drying process using saturated and superheated steam for large-square timber. During drying of the boxed heart square timber, changes in moisture content were examined through the slices of the surface, inner and core layers. The results showed that there was a large moisture content difference between the surface and inner layers during saturated steam drying and between the inner and core layers during superheated steam drying. However, despite the moisture content difference between the layers, no surface check occurred, and an internal check occurred only near the pith or juvenile parts of the wood. The maximum value of the drying stress of the dried larch boxed heart square timber, calculated from the elastic strain of the slice and the tangential elastic modulus of the larch, was 1.30 MPa. The tangential tensile strength of the larch was estimated at 5.21 MPa under temperature and moisture content conditions when drying stress was at a maximum. That is, in the continuous drying process, the saturated and superheated steam did not generate a check in the surface because the drying stress of the wood did not exceed the tangential tensile strength. In further studies, the superheated steam drying conditions will need to be relaxed to suppress the occurrence of internal checks. Such studies would make the continuous drying process using saturated and superheated steam available for the drying of large-square timber.

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of mixing methods, storage period, and dilution ratio of Dangyuja-sugar mixture on the customer preferences for Dangyuja-tea. Most sensory characteristics such as bitterness, flavor, and taste are influenced more by mixing methods of Dangyuja-sugar mixtiue than by storage period. The Dangyuja-sugar mixture prepared by slice cutting is preferred to those prepared by operating electric mixer, The preference test showed that the appearance is not influenced by storage period but by mixing methods, whereas the tne and texture is more affected by storage period in which the 24 month storage is preferred to 12 month storage. therefore, the overall preference fer Dangyuja-tea is the on that prepared with 20% contents of Dangyuja-sugar mixture which is slice-cut and 24 month stored.

An Efficient Anisotropic Volume Rendering using an Intensity Interpolation and Adaptive Intermediate Voxel Insertion Method (광도 보간과 적응형 중간복셀 삽입법을 이용한 효율적인 비균등 볼륨 렌더링)

  • In some volume visualization fields such as medical imaging, anisotropic volume data are more common than isotropic ones. In this paper, we propose an efficient rendering method for anisotropic volume data, which directly computes the intensity of intermediate samples by interpolating the intensity of two corresponding voxels on consecutive slices. Unlike density interpolation method, it does not require a preprocessing step for generating intermediate slices or additional memory for storing them. Additionally, we propose an adaptive intermediate voxel insertion method that avoids overblurring on object surfaces. This may occur when we render high frequency areas using the intensity interpolation method. Using these methods, we can improve the rendering speed without sacrificing image quality.

  • Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP) identifies patients' anatomical structures from MR or CT data sets. Recently, it becomes possible to generate MIP images with interactive speed by exploiting Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) even in large volume data sets. Generally, volume boundary plane is obliquely crossed with view-aligned texture plane in hardware-texture based volume rendering. Since the ray sampling distance is not increased at volume boundary in volume rendering, the aliasing problem occurs due to data loss. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to overcome this problem by Re-rendering volume boundary planes. Our method improves image quality to make dense distances between samples near volume boundary which is a high frequency area. Since it is only 6 clipping planes are additionally needed for Re-rendering, high quality rendering can be performed without sacrificing computational efficiency. Furthermore, our method couldbe applied to Minimum Intensity Projection (MinIP) volume rendering.
