  • One of the words frequently mentioned in our society today is the smart machine. Smart machines are machines that contain smart or intelligent functions. These smart machines have recently been applied in our home environment. These are phenomena that occur as a result of smart home. In a smart home environment, smart speakers have moved away from traditional music playback functions and are now increasingly serving as interfaces to control devices, the various components of a smart home. In this study, the technology trends of domestic and foreign smart speaker market are examined, problems of current products are analyzed, and necessary core technologies are described. In the domestic smart speaker market, SKT and KT are leading the related industries, while major IT companies such as Amazon, Google and Apple are focusing on launching related products and technology development.

  • An actuator system is a type of motor designed to control a mechanism operated by a source of energy, in the form of an electric current by converting energy into some kind of motion. As audio actuators, transforming electric voltage signal into audio signal, speakers and amplifiers are commonly used. In applications of industry, high output power systems are required. For these systems to generate high-quality output, it is essential to control output impedance of audio systems. We have developed an adaptable power supply for driving active amplifier systems with variable loads. Depending on the changing values of resistance of the speaker which produces audible sound by transforming electric voltage signal, the power supply source of the active amplifier can generate the maximum power delivered to the speaker by an adaptable change of loads. The amplifier is well protected from the abrupt increment of peak current and an excess of current flow.

  • Nowadays, there are many innovative products in the pro-audio market thanks to advanced IT technology, DSP is very important technology to process high quality audio signal in SR(Sound Reinforcement) system. Digital audio technology that converged with IT technology can give new user-experience. In this paper, we present a new digital crossover system for active speakers using DSP and network technology. The prototype of crossover module consists of various audio process module such as filters, delay, phase controls and also it provides user to remote monitoring and remote control features by internet connection.

  • This study is a technology related to a lighting lamp that illuminates indoor or outdoor lighting with light. In more detail, a see-through window is created in all directions on a case constituting the exterior, and a jade stone processed in a thin panel form is attached to the see-through window. By constructing a lighting lamp, since the soft light is irradiated indoors or outdoors through the jade stone, it provides comfort and warmth to the user, enhances the indoor or outdoor interior effect, emits far-infrared rays and negative ions, and emits a subtle floral scent It is a technology for lighting lamps using jade stones that emit. The characteristics of the product of this research and development is that the viewing window is formed in all directions on the case constituting the exterior, and the lighting lamp is composed by attaching the processed jade stone in the form of a thin panel to the viewing window. It is meaningful that they studied lightings using jade stones that generate sounds such as Buddhist scriptures, the Bible, and Sijo.

  • This paper develops a multi-casting system could be used in a school and hospital and government and municipal public offices. The developed multi-casting system uses various educational multimedia titles effectively and is capable of remote control by using a network(LAN). The developed system includes speaker control module that make individual or group broadcasting, AV contents control module for using a diverse educational multimedia title effectively and light control module. The system uses RS-485C communication module and the effective control system interface based on GUI.

  • 최근 멀티미디어 산업의 급속한 발달로 다양한 목적의 멀티미디어 제품 군들이 있다. 이러한 멀티미디어 제품은 대부분 휴대용으로 리튬폴리머 배터리를 내장하여 언제 어디서나 듣고, 청취하기 위해 대부분이 소형화된 기기들이다. 본 논문은 모바일 휴대폰에 소형의 FN 송신무선 핸즈프리 기반을 접목하여 사운드 확장과 성능향상에 대하여 연구하였다 FM 주파수대역은 할당 받지 않은 개인이 사용하기에는 출력 제약을 받기 때문에 무선 성능이 좋지 않다. 이를 향상하기 위해 PCB 패턴 안테나를 설계와 함께 안테나 급전부 연결방법 연구 결과로 통화 잡음을 제거하여 좋은 출력특성결과를 가져왔다. 이후 이를 모바일 존에 적용하여 거리에 따른 통화 감도를 높이기 위한 마이 이득 조절기능과 무선 FM 송신으로 수신 측 스피커를 이용하여 청취하므로 사운드확장 장점이 있으며, 통화 잡음을 제거하기 위한 검증시험 및 통합시험을 수행하였다.

A Study on the Motivation of Artificial Intelligence Speaker (인공지능 스피커 사용 동기 형성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, I researched whether consumers would adopt artificial intelligence speakers. A study was conducted on the motivations that arise when consumers want to use artificial intelligence speakers. Key motivational factors include needs and wants, and emotion is also included in the hypothesis as influencing the intended use. These factors have modeled the motivational process in which consumers want to use artificial intelligence speakers. In the empirical study, the survey was conducted and the survey data was analyzed by applying the method of analysis of the structural equation model. As a result of empirical research, consumers' expectations to meet their general needs for artificial intelligence speakers affected their expectations to meet their wants and their favorable perceptions. And consumers' expectations of meeting their quasi-desire for artificial intelligence speakers have affected their expectations of meeting the wants and affected their perception of favorability. Finally, consumers' expectations for satisfying their wants and their perception of favorability affected their intention to use artificial intelligence speakers. The implications of this study is that it helps to formulate strategies for information technology products with combined functionality. The specific components of motivation can play an important role in increasing consumers' intention to use artificial intelligence speakers.

Voice Assistant for Visually Impaired People (시각장애인을 위한 음성 도우미 장치)

  • People with compromised visual ability suffer from many inconveniences in daily life, such as distinguishing colors, identifying currency notes and realizing the atmospheric temperature. Therefore, to assist the visually impaired people, we propose a system by utilizing optical and infrared cameras. In the proposed system, an optical camera is used to collect features related to colors and currency notes while an infrared camera is utilized to get temperature information. The user is enabled to select the desired service by pushing the button and the appreciate voice information are provided through the speaker. The device can distinguish 16 kinds of colors, four different currency notes, and temperature information in four steps and the current accuracy is around 90%. It can be improved further through block-wise input image, machine learning, and a higher version of the infrared camera. In addition, it will be attached to the stick for easy carrying and to use it more conveniently.

An Analysis of IoT Service using Sentiment Analysis on Online Reviews: Focusing on the Characteristics of Service Providers (감성분석을 활용한 사물인터넷(IoT) 서비스 리뷰 분석: 사업자 특성에 따른 차이를 중심으로)

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) is characterized as the market where various companies compete for the same consumers. Thus, there are differences in functions and performance provided by the main business area and other characteristics of the service providers. This paper investigates whether satisfaction with the service provided depends on the characteristics of the operator by using sentiment analysis of comments. To achieve this goal, word importance analysis and sensitivity analysis are conducted on 34,310 reviews of 41 applications registered in the Google Play. The review analysis was conducted at various levels, including TD-IDF (Term frequency-inverse document frequency) value of keywords, service sectors, the origin of providers, and domestic/foreign providers. The results show that users' overall assessment of IoT services was found to be low, and smart homes received relatively high reviews compared to other services, and manufacturing-based and overseas providers received relatively higher evaluations than others.
