Experimental Study for Dynamic Characteristics of Eddy Current Shock Absorber (와전류 충격완충장치의 실험적 동특성 연구)

  • This paper is concerned with a new concept for the damper without neither a coil spring nor fluid. The new damper concept consists of the permanent magnets and the cylinder of the conducting material. The opposite pole magnets produces the repulsive forces and this is substituted for the coil spring. The relative motion between the magnets and conducting cylinder produces eddy currents thus resulting in the electromagnetic force, which turns out to be the damping force and is substituted for a damping fluid. This damper is called the eddy current damper(ECD). The important advantage of the proposed ECD is that it does not require any damping fluid and any external power and is non-contacting and relatively insensitive to temperature. In the present study, the proposed ECD was constructed and the experiments were performed to investigate its dynamic characteristics. The experiments shows that the proposed ECD has the excellent damping ability.

A comparative study on methods for shield tunnel segment lining sectional forces (쉴드 터널 세그먼트 라이닝의 부재력 산정법 비교연구)

  • The segment lining which consists of segments and joints are main component of shield tunnel. There are a number of methods that are being used in design which compute the sectional forces of a ring of segment lining. The traditional design methods which do not consider the effect of joints have been commonly used for design procedure without a specific verification of structural analysis. This paper presents the result of a comparative study for analytical and numerical models of the shield tunnel segment lining. For the traditional methods, the elastic equation method and the Duddeck & Erdmann method were considered. The ring-beam and the continuum analysis model were also considered as the numerical model.

Dynamic Interaction Analysis of Train-bridge Considering Rail-wheel Contact Mechanism (윤축-레일 접촉메카니즘을 고려한 열차-교량 동적상호작용 해석)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a nonlinear algorithm for the dynamic interaction analysis of KTX trains and bridge girders with consideration of separation and flange contact phenomena between wheel and rail. For this, three interaction models between wheel-rail are implemented and compared through numerical examples. That is, the spring model and the non-jump model are briefly explained, and a nonlinear contact model is then proposed to accurately simulate interaction forces of the train-bridge system. Dynamic interaction analysis of a simply supported girder and trains is performed and the analyzed results are presented and compared for the proposed contact model and the other model types. Particularly, flange contact phenomena in the nonlinear contact model are demonstrated under a specific condition.

Analysis of the Internal Forces of the Rail Supports for the Serviceability of Concrete Slab Track Bridge (콘크리트 슬래브 궤도 교량의 사용성 검토를 위한 레일 지지점에서의 작용력 해석)

  • In this study, the reference values for the internal forces of the rail supports caused by a wheel load, a unit vertical displacement, a unit end rotation in examination of the serviceability of concrete slab track bridge were obtained. In analysis, the analysis models of which the rail was continuously and discretely supported by elastic springs were used. The internal forces of the rail supports from the analysis were compared with the results provided in the DS 804 regulations and agreed with well. In addition, the effects of the space between the rail supports and the stiffness of fastener on the internal forces of the rail supports were investigated.

Performance Evaluation of Multi-Friction Dampers for Seismic Retrofitting of Structures (구조물 내진보강을 위한 다중 마찰댐퍼의 성능 평가)

  • This paper is a study on the friction damper, which is one of the seismic reinforcement devices for structures. This study developed a damper by replacing the internal friction material with ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), a type of composite material. In addition, this study applied a multi-friction method in which the internal structure where frictional force is generated is laminated in several layers. To verify the performance of the developed multi-friction damper, this study performed a characteristic analysis test for the basic physical properties, wear characteristics, and disc springs of the material. As a result of the wear test, the mass reduction rate of UHMWPE was 0.003%, which showed the best performance among the friction materials based on composite materials. Regarding the disc spring, this study secured the design basic data from the finite element analysis and experimental test results. Moreover, to confirm the quality stability of the developed multi-friction damper, this study performed an seismic load test on the damping device and the friction force change according to the torque value. The quality performance test result showed a linear frictional force change according to the torque value adjustment. As a result of the seismic load test, the allowable error of the friction damper was less than 15%, which is the standard required by the design standards, so it satisfies the requirements for seismic reinforcement devices.

  • 올 여름은 한 달이 넘도록 열대야가 지속될 정도로 가히 '살인적' 더위였다. 폭염으로 인한 고온 스트레스는 젖소들에게 단순히 산유량 저하뿐만 아니라, 다가오는 가을철에 수태율을 감소시키고 대사성 질병 면역력을 떨어뜨려 큰 피해를 준다. 이에 농가들은 고온 스트레스를 최소화하기 위해 차광막을 설치하거나 지붕에 스프링클러를 분사하는 등 하루하루 긴장 속에 이 계절을 보내야 했다. 하지만 올해 같은 폭염 속에서도 차광막 하나 없이 축사를 관리한 농가들이 있었다. 바로 'P.C(폴리카보네이트, Poly-Carbonate) 다기능 지붕재 엠보(이하 P.C엠보)'를 설치한 목장들이다. 직사광선의 피해를 최소화할 수 있는 'P.C 다기능 지붕재 엠보'를 개발한 (주)대한철강(대표 김상국)을 찾아가 봤다.

  • 최근 배전용 차단기의 조작방식은 스프링 구동 방식에서 영구자석 엑츄에이터(PMA) 구동방식으로 바뀌고 있다. PMA로 작동하는 중고압 차단기는 여자전류 권선의 수에 의해 단권선형과 이권선형으로 구분한다. 본 논문에서는 PMA의 동특성을 해석하기 위하여 유한요소법과 외부회로 방정식을 결합하였다. 가동부의 움직임을 고려하여 자계분포를 해석하였으며 가동부의 속도와 흡인력을 구하여 비교하였다. 해석된 결과는 PMA 설계에 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 유한요소법을 이용하여 경수로형 핵연료집합체에서 냉각수 유동에 의한 수직 상승력으로부터 핵연료를 지지하는 판형 HDS의 강성도를 수치해석적으로 평가할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다 I-DEAS code의 8 node brick element를 사용하고 판스프링들간의 간섭 부위에 접촉요소를 사용한 유한요소 모델링 및 해석기법으로 평가한 탄성강성도가 변형 에너지법에 근거하여 유도된 탄성강성도 평가식으로부터 얻은 결과와 잘 일치하고 있어서 제안된 유한요소 모델링 및 해석기법은 판형 HDS의 거동 분석에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.

  • 리니어 모터는 일반적으로 회전하는 모터와 같이 여러 형상의 극간에서 발생되는 힘의 균형에 의해서 구동되는 것이 일반적이다. 특히 하나의 극간에서 미소 구동하는 리니어 모터는 구동력과 실제 이동하는 위치 사이에서 댐핑이나 무게와 함 사이에서 발생하는 가속력의 차이에 의해서 주어진 힘의 파형과 움직이는 위치의 괴적이 만들어가는 이동자의 위치 사이에는 다소 시간 처짐이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 구동력과 실제 이동하는 위치 사이의 시간 처짐의 원인으로 알려져 있는 여러 요소중 주파수와 입력전류를 변화시키고 이에 따른 선형전동기의 power factor의 변화와 공진주파수의 관계 등 선형전동기의 구동력 변화를 알아보았다. IT 기기 냉각용으로 제작한 횡자속 선형전동기에서 공진구동용 스프링을 장착하고 공진주파수 부근과 power factor가 가장 큰 값을 가지는 부근의 주파수를 선정하고 입력전류에 따른 전류, 전압, 위치, 역율을 알아보았다.

  • Now a days, according that the occurrence of industrial disaster is on the increase, the necessity of protective goods is increasing. Specially estimate of safety helmet for protect of head is very important. On this, in this paper, amplification ratio and natural frequencies of fire safety helmet and general safety helmet are estimated by falling impect test and frequency analysis. Also. trend of damping is estimated by using these test results. And we know that the fire safety helmet is more safe than general safety helmet for protect of head.
