A Comparative Study on Purchase Behavior of Athleisure Wear by Segmental Market according to Sports and Leisure Participation (스포츠 및 여가 활동 참여동기에 따른 세분시장별 애슬레저 웨어 제품구매행동의 비교연구)

  • This study identifies the socio-psychological factors on athleisure wear purchase behavior and focuses on the effects of participation motives in sports leisure activity. This research compares athleisure wear purchase behavior among the three groups segmented by participation motives for sports and leisure activity. An online survey on male and female consumers between the ages of 20 and 50 provided 319 responses that were analyzed using SPSS 20.0. The factor analysis and reliability analysis, cluster analysis, variance analysis, Duncan test, and Chi square test were conducted. The results were: 1) From a result of the factor analysis on consumers' sports leisure participation motives clearly showed factorial structures including social interaction, physical health, and pleasant feeling. 2) Cluster analysis indicated three groups of participation motives in sports and leisure activity such as passive motivating type, social interaction type, and wellness type. 3) Consumer groups showed significant differences in purchase reasons, preferred brands, product items, and pursued performance attributes for purchasing athleisure wear products.

Motivation and Meaning of the Elderly Women's Line Dance Experience (여성 노인의 라인댄스 체험 동기와 의미 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out what meanings would be brought to the old females' lives, who took part in the line dance as programs for senior's health. 6 the old females were selected. Research materials were gathered from in-depth interviews and observations by researcher. As a result of content analysis, the following conclusions were drawn. First, elderly's motives for participation in line dance were found to be solicitation of the surroundings, recovery and maintenance of health, and participation in pursuit of happiness. Second, the elderly's line dance experience was changed the perception of dance. Third, line dance improved interest and confidence in the body and appearance. Fourth, the line dance experience provides a space for making new friends. Fifth, the line dance experience improved a sense of accomplishment and immersion through dance. Sixth, the support and praise of the family increased self-esteem and improved overall life satisfaction and happiness.

What Motivates Chinese Sports Fans to Subscribe to Athletes' Social Networking Service Accounts? (중국 스포츠팬들의 운동선수 SNS이용 동기)

  • This study attempted to identify the motivational factors for using athletes' SNS among Chinese sports fans. The researchers posted a hyperlink of an online survey on a total of 8 Chinese Olympians' SNS(Weibo) accounts after obtaining the athlete's approval. A total of 274 surveys were gathered from the visitors of SNS. Of the 274 surveys, 33 were discarded because of missing values. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling revealed the following. Diversion, pass-time, athlete support, and technical knowledge were significantly and positively related to social media consumption while information, socialization, and fanship had no significant predictive effect on social media consumption.

Correlation Analysis of Marine Leisure Sports Wear -Focused on Body Shape, Age and Variable

  • This study investigated the purchase status, wearing status, purchase satisfaction, selection criteria, and improvement marin leports wear for subjects who enjoy marine leisure sports in the southwestern region of Jeollanam-do, and examines the correlation between age and body type and the correlation between variables. SPSS Ver. 26.0 program was used for analysis. In the correlation between the motivation for participation and the selection criteria, when participating to increase physical strength, it was selected based on the fit. When participating for leisure or hobbies, they were selected based on design and color. The relationship between the selection criteria and purchase satisfaction was not satisfied in terms of price when they were selected based on activity or utilization of other uses. As for the selection criteria according to the body type, clothing was selected based on price and fashion for large triangles and squares, and elasticity for inverted triangles. As for the preferred color by age, only those in their 40s preferred blue and other age groups preferred achromatic color. In future studies, it is thought that a study on the preference of each marine leisure sports item should be conducted.

Potential Effects of Nature-friendly Hill Climb Sportsmen's Participatory Motivation and Commitment Experience upon Their Sense of Self-achievement and Living Satisfaction (자연친화적 힐클라임 스포츠 참가자의 참가동기가 몰입경험, 자아성취감, 생활만족에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine potential effects of nature- friendly hill climb sportsmen's participatory motivation and commitment experience on their sense of self-achievement and living satisfaction. To meet the goal, this study surveyed total 206 participants (male and female) in hill climb tournaments held at Daegwallyeong and Misiryeong, Gangwon province. For data processing, this study used SPSS 14.0 and amos 7.0 to conduct frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, descriptive statistic analysis and structural equation model analysis respectively. As a result, this study could come to the following conclusions: First, according to descriptive statistic analysis, it was found that our respondents who participated in nature-friendly hill climb sports scored relatively high points in their participatory motivation, commitment experience, sense of self-achievement and living satisfaction. Secondly, this study adopted Pearson's moment correlation analysis in order to determine potential associations among our respondents' participatory motivation, commitment experience, sense of self-achievement and living satisfaction. As a result, it was found that their participatory motivation was positively correlated with their living satisfaction, while their commitment experience was positively correlated with their sense of self-achievement. Thirdly, it was found that there were certain causalities among our respondents' participatory motivation, living satisfaction, commitment experience and sense of self-achievement.

Negotiation Strategy for Leisure Constraints in Highschool Students Participating in Club Activities (동아리 활동에 참여하는 고등학생의 여가제약 협상전략)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand and investigate the process of making negotiation strategy to do leisure activity with overcoming leisure constraints which highschool students participating in their club activity meet. For this study, students who have at least one-year career for their club activity -more than two times a week and two hours at a time -were selected. Survey through in-depth interview, non-participating observation and field note were conducted. The results are as follow. Firstly, the fascination for club activity was the important factor for overcoming leisure constraints. Secondly, leisure constraints never let students stop doing their activity. Thirdly, the subjects of this study practiced negotiation strategies and came to have self-achievement and self-esteem, improving their relationships effectively. Finally, it was found out that they were creating their own club culture with continuous leisure constraints negotiation. The results of this study present the case and the method of continuous students' participation in their leisure and are able to help them to build up their positive leisure experiences.

The Effects of College Students' Motivation to Participate in Bodybuilding (Participation in Weight Training) on Behavioral Intention through Psychological Repulsion (대학생의 보디빌딩 참여하는(웨이트 트레이닝 참여) 동기가 심리적 반응을 통한 행동 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • Interest in bodybuilding, such as weight training, has increased, but research on the motivation and behavioral intention of college students is lacking. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the motives of bodybuilding participation for college students and to find out the effect on behavioral intention by mediating the psychological resistance that occurs during the bodybuilding. As for the research method, a questionnaire was conducted on 250 users through an online survey from May 30 to June 10, 2023, and a total of 232 copies were used for the final analysis. As a result of the study, first, among college students' motivation to participate in weight training, the health-oriented type and self-development type had a positive effect on voluntary acceptance. Second, among the motives for participating in weight training, the home-oriented type was found to have a negative effect on opportunistic acceptance. Finally, voluntary acceptance had a positive effect on learning outcomes, and opportunistic acceptance had a negative effect on learning outcomes. Using the results of this study, it is expected that it will be helpful to understand the factors and policies in promoting the physical health of college students.

A Study on the Perception of Sports Psychological Counseling

  • This study conducted surveys and in-depth interviews to explore the perception of sports psychology counseling among athletes. The participants included a total of 8 individuals: 307 athletes surveyed, 4 athletes who had received counseling, and 4 who had not. The survey investigated athletes' perceptions and management of psychological training, the perceived necessity of seeking advice for everyday concerns, willingness to use and perceived need for sports psychology counseling, prior experiences, and pre-engagement considerations. According to the survey results, 69.1% of athletes recognized the importance of mental training, but only 33.2% actually underwent psychological training. Furthermore, while 67.8% expressed a desire to receive education on psychological training from professionals, only 19.9% reported having searched for related information. When asked about their willingness to pay for sports psychology counseling services, 55.7% expressed willingness. Reasons for wanting to receive counseling, reasons for not wanting to receive counseling, and preferences or considerations for counseling sessions were listed as well. In the in-depth interviews, participants were classified into those who had received counseling and those who had not, delving deeply into motivations for seeking counseling or reasons for not doing so, perceptions during counseling sessions, considerations, preferred types of counselors, and program preferences. Based on this research, discussions and recommendations were provided with the perspective of utilizing sports psychology counseling as foundational data for providing high-quality services to users.

Examination of the Lives of Professional Golfers Growing to Excellent Sports Leaders (우수 스포츠지도자로 성장하는 프로골퍼의 삶 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to conceptualize the process of formation by the exploration of the lives of professional golfers who grow to excellent sports leaders, categorize the concept and suggest models between categories. In order to reveal in depth the change process of the job formation, the 'grounded approach' as a qualitative study was used as a the methodological frame of this study, and snow sampling, one of nonrandom sampling was used for the selection method of the study participants. 10 study participants who are able to make positive self-expression and talk with the researcher were selected. Through grounded approach appropriate for this process research, this study could acquire following results. First, through the casual condition that is the exploration of the lives of professional golfers growing to excellent sports leaders, it connected to the central phenomena of professional instruction methods and education belief as golf leaders. In this process, the changes as new experiences for the charm of the new job and relationship formation influence as the function of a contextual condition. In addition, golf leaders tried to become a more completed golf leader through self-efforts for development and expertise attainment according to the their own situations as well as belief, and they have established the lives of firm golf leaders through the process. Second, as a result of the changes of their lives as professional golfers growing to excellent sports leaders, the paradigm of grounded approach which is abstracted as total 141 concepts, 17 subcategories, and 11 superordinate categories were composed.

Relationship between motivation, satisfaction, and re-use intention when selecting a psychomotor center for parents with developmental disabilities (발달장애 부모의 심리운동센터 선택 시 동기, 만족도, 재이용 의사의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parental participation motivation, satisfaction, and intention to reuse children with developmental disabilities using psychomotor centers. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the parents of children participating in psycho-exercise programs at a private developmental disability center located in the metropolitan area. The collected data was 188 copies, and the causal relationship was verified through descriptive statistics, factor analysis and reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. As a result of the analysis, the following conclusions were obtained. First, in the relationship between parental participation motivation and satisfaction with regard to psychological exercise participation of children with developmental disabilities, only pleasure and social factors were significant in use satisfaction, and only social, health and physical fitness factors in performance satisfaction showed a significant influence. Second, in the relationship between participation motivation and intention to reuse, there were significant influences on pleasure, skill development and sense of achievement, and social factors. Third, in the relationship between satisfaction and intention to reuse, intention to reuse was significantly explained in factors of satisfaction with use and satisfaction with performance. In order to increase the reuse rate of psychomotor centers in the future, it is judged that additional analysis is necessary in addition to the measurement variables of this study.
