  • Physically interactive sports games are expanding to be training forms to replace real sports. Previous Physically interactive sports games are mostly technical studies for reality and immersion, and there is a few research related to sports movements for exercise. In this paper, we implement the physically interactive spinning game by applying the functional movement of spinning so that it can't only replace the real spinning but also an individual can play. Sports functional movement is expected to be an appropriate way to create physically interactive sports games.

  • The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effects of 8weeks Kettlebell training on the FMS and Balance in Middle school baseball player. Fourteen middle school baseball players were randomly assigned to a kettlebell group (n=8) and a control group (n=6), and kettlebell training was applied twice a week for 60 minutes. And the FMS, Y-balance test and static and dynamic balance test using smart shoes were tested before and after kettlebell training. Repeated two-way ANOVA measures was performed both before and after the exercise to verify the effect of kettlebell training. Also, if there was an interaction between time and group, a paired sample t-test was performed for each group. As a results of the study, FMS score showed a significant difference in IL (Inline Lunge) and TS(Total Score), and there was no significant difference in other variables of FMS. The YBT score showed a significant difference in all YBT variables except for the left AT. And the balance test using smart shoes, there was no significant interaction effect between group and period in all variables. In conclusion, it was found that the application of kettlebell training in middle school baseball players had an effects on the FMS and YBT scores related to functional movement and functional balance, but it did not affect the static/dynamic balance test using smart shoes evaluated by the foot pressure method. It seems that the results of this study can be provided as basic data necessary for planning a training program for middle school baseball players.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop EOG system for collecting eye movement patterns to investigate visual function and position and the level of balancing. This small and partable wireless EOG system was enabled to collect stable signals without hindering any kind of sports movement. This system was consist of four parts: amplifier, main process with wireless transmitter, receiver, and display. Three EOG electrodes were used and placed on right(+), left(-) sides of eyes, and between eyes as a reference. This system was possible to measure signals for relatively long duration but the degeneration of electrodes may magnify measurement errors when collecting time was getting longer. Thus, dry electrodes may be applied to the system when long term measurement is needed for future studies.

  • This study was understood the risk mechanism of falls in the elderly and reviewed previous research data to see if the principle of Pilates rehabilitation exercise could have a positive effect on balance ability and postural stabilization in the elderly, and the purpose of this study is to present literature-based data on the fall prevention effect of rehabilitation Pilates exercise. First, the rehabilitation Pilates exercise makes it available for strengthening the center of the body to stabilize the spine and pelvis and stimulates the nerve root, thereby having an effect on the balance and the joint stabilization. Second, a proprioceptive sensory impairment and a musculoskeletal degenerative disease due to aging increase the loss of balance ability and the instability in posture maintenance, thereby coming to raise the risk of a fall damage caused by the difficulty in performing motor functions and by the gait disturbance. Third, the rehabilitation Pilates exercise leads to improving the core muscle strength in older adults, resulting in being capable of expecting the betterment in the balance and the reaction time motor function. And there is a positive impact on the improvement in body imbalance and on the stability in movement involved in the fall prevention, resulting in being able to suggest the possibility of likely contributing to a reduction in a fall risk rate. In conclusion, the rehabilitation Pilates as the elderly exercise program showed effects on the improvement in the body's muscular strength, on the upgrade in a sense of balance, and on the stabilization of core. Thus, it was considered to diminish the risk factors for a fall damage caused by musculoskeletal degeneration and to be capable of preventing a serious disorder of activity due to a chronic senile disease.

  • In this paper, we propose a synchronized playback method of 3D reference model and video by extracting golf swing information from learner's golf video to precisely compare and analyze each motion in each position and time in the golf swing, and present the implementation result. In order to synchronize the 3D model with the learner's swing video, the learner's golf swing movie is first photographed and relative time information is extracted from the photographed video according to the position of the golf club from the address posture to the finishing posture. Through applying time information from learners' swing video to a 3D reference model that rigs the motion information of a pro-golfer's captured swing motion at 120 frames per second through high-quality motion capture equipment into a 3D model and by synchronizing the 3D reference model with the learner's swing video, the learner can correct or learn his / her posture by precisely comparing his or her posture with the reference model at each position of the golf swing. Synchronized playback can be used to improve the functionality of manually adjusting system for comparing and analyzing the reference model and learner's golf swing. Except for the part where the image processing technology that detects each position of the golf posture is applied, It is expected that the method of automatically extracting the time information of each location from the video and of synchronized playback can be extended to general life sports field.
