스크류 로터의 가공을 위한 CUTTER의 치형설계

  • 스크류 압축기는 진동이 작고 맥동이 적으며, 소형이고 고효율이라는 특징이 있다. 또한 식품, 화학, 전자공업 등에서 무윤활식 압축기로 사용되어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 호프로 자른 것과 같은 다각형 오차를 만들지 않고 매끄러운 면을 얻을 수 있는 스크류 로터의 축직각 단면좌표를 이용한 cutter의 형상을 설계하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

  • 스크류 압축기는 진동이 적고, 소형이면서 고효율을 유지하기가 용이하다는 특징을 가지고 있으며, 원통형 밀패용기 내에 암,수로터가 서로 반대 방향으로 맞물려 회전하면서, 로터홈과 케이싱 사이에 생기는 공간의 용적이 로터회전에 의해서 가스를 흡입, 압축, 배출하는 합축기 이다. 본 연구는 로터의 치형 함수의 기하학적성질 및 제한사항을 고려하여, 대칭 치형을 치수의 조합과, 원, 점, 직선, 타원을 사용하여 비대칭 치형을 설계하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 설계된 치형과 기존의 치형을 치형 형상의 변화에 따른 특성값 (실라인길이, 누설삼각형, 용적곡선, 흡입 및 토출 홈면적)의 변화에 대하여 연구함으로서 성능검토를 시도하였다.

Design of Fly-Cutter for Antisymmetric Screw Rotor (비대칭형 스크류 로터용 플라이커터의 치형설계에 대한 연구)

  • In this study, we designed tooth profile of the fly-cutter for antisymmetric rotor which is used in screw compressor. In order to verify this profile, we manufactured three different pairs(J46, N46, P46) of antisymmetric rotor using fly-cutter. We got the following conclusions from this study. (1) We obtained better contact condition using 3pairs of rotor which are manufactured by the fly-cutter. (2) We could prevent the cutter interference near bottom point of the robe of screw rotor.

Design of Cutter Profile and the Characteristics of Vibration for Symmetric Screw Rotor (대칭형스크류로터의 커터설계와 진동특성에 관한 연구)

  • We designed the cutter profile for symmetric screw rotor and did vibration experiment of screw rotor manufactured by the designed cutter profile. The results of this study are summarized as follows. (1) We designed the cutter profile of screw rotor (4-6)(5-6) by using numerical analysis program. (2) The maximum amplitude and variation of amplitude of 5-6 profile rotor are about 30 - 36.7% and 10 - 25% smaller than those of 4-6 profile rotor, respectively. (3) As the angular velocity of rotor changes from 100 to 300 rpm, the vibration of X, Y axis in driving shaft of 5-6 profile rotor is about 10 - 20% smaller than that of 4-6 profile rotor.

  • This study aims at the optimal design of the screw rotor and its performance analysis. The optimal design of the screw rotor's shape has been performed theoretically. Also, the performance analysis technique of an oil-injected screw air compressor is developed. The effect of internal leakage, heat exchange between air and oil, and flow resistance at suction and discharge ports are included in the performance analysis. Some numerical examples of the volumetric efficiency and adiabatic efficiency for sample rotors are demonstrated for various lobe combination, rotor wrap angles and L/D ratios.

  • As the industry requiring clean vacuum condition like semiconductor and display manufacturing expands, importance of dry vacuum pumps has been increased. Screw-type dry vacuum pump, occupying major share with multi-stage roots pump in dry-pump market, has big strength specially in harsh application area accompanying serious by-product accumulation. Recently, development in screw-type pump has been focused on improving energy efficiency. In this article, technology of screw-type dry vacuum pump is reviewed and the requirement for actual industrial application is considered. In addition, the expected evolution for screw-type dry pump in near future is also described.

  • This paper describes the development of simulation program which is able to design cutter profiles and 3-dimensional geometry for rotors in screw compressor. Based on the symmetric rotor profiles developed previously, cutters are designed and 3-dimensional geometries of rotors are generated used by simulation program. Symmetric rotors are manufactured by a universal milling machine, and surface geometries of them are measured by a 3-dimension scanner. It is shown that simulation program developed is useful to design cutter for rotor manufacturing and to generate the 3-dimensional helicoid geometry of rotor in screw compressor.

  • The purpose of this paper is to design cutter profiles for manufacturing rotors of screw compressor, which are based on universal milling machine. The surface profile of screw rotor which is helicoidal is derived as brief equation through the coordinates transformation of the section perpendicular to rotor axis. And the equations of contact lines between a cutter and the surface profile of screw rotor are derived. The computer program which can analyze the equation of contact lines numerically and design the cutter profiles of screw rotor is made, and verified through measuring screw rotors which are menufactured as the designed cutter by the computer program.

  • To design high-effective profile in screw rotor profile using in screw compressor, we design the symmetric type changing the number of lobes and the non-symmetric type changing the neighbourhood of the top point of lobe. Then, we calculated the performance value of profile according to the scale of these non-symmetric's wrap angle. We had the results as follows. 1. About the non-symmetric case, the larger a wrap angle is the shorter seal line is and the smaller blow hole is, thus we know what the large wrap angle profile is better than the small one. 2. We know what the non-symmetric profile is better than the symmetric profile in the result of the compare of seal line's length, blow hole's area, volume curve. 3. About the non-symmetric case, the deformation of the neighbourhood of lobe's top point of the rotor profile has a large effect upon the increase of performance because the length of seal line became short and the area of blow hole is small.
