Detection Scheme of Heart and Respiration Signals for a Driver of Car with a Doppler Radar (도플러 레이더 기반 차량 운전자의 심박 및 호흡 신호 검출 기법 연구)

  • Purpose: In this paper, we propose an algorithm for detecting respiratory rate and heart beat of a driver of car by exploiting Doppler radar, and verifying the feasibility of the study through experiments. Method: In this paper, we propose a weighted peak detection technique using peak frequency values. The tests are performed in stop-state and driving-state, and the experiment result is analyzed by two proposed algorithms. Result: The results showed more than 95% and 96% accuracy of respiratory and heart rate, respectively. It also showed more than 72% and 84% accuracy of those even for driving experiments. Conclusion: The proposed detection scheme for vital signs can be used for the safety of the driver as well as for prevention of a large size of car accidents.

The System of Arresting Wanted Vehicles for Violent Crimes for Public Safety (국민안전을 위한 강력범죄 수배차량 검거시스템)

  • The final goal of this study is to develop a system that can analyze whether a wanted vehicle is a criminal vehicle from images collected from black boxes, smartphones, CCTVs, and so on. Data collection was collected using a self-developed black box. The used data in this study has used a total of 83,753 cases such as the eight vehicle types(truck, RV, passenger car, van, SUV, bus, sports car, electric vehicle) and 434 vehicle models. As a result of vehicle recognition using YOLO v5, mAP was found to be 80%. As a result of identifying the vehicle model with ReXNet using the self-developed black box, the accuracy was found to be 99%. The result was verified by surveying field police officers. These results suggest that improving the accuracy of data labeling helps to improve vehicle recognition performance.

Consumers' Perception of Intelligent Vehicle (지능형 자동차에 대한 소비자의 인식 유형 연구)

  • As the intelligent vehicle market continues to develop relevant technologies and services for consumers, it is necessary to understand the characteristics of potential consumers. The purpose of this study is to identify and understand the types of potential consumers of intelligent vehicle using the Q-methodology. A Q-frame was constructed using thirty six statements from intelligent vehicle related literature concerning core technology, technology acceptance and personal consumption value, legal system and policy and social awareness. Q-sorting and in-depth interviews were conducted using thirty nine P-samples snowballed. Analysis produced four types of potential consumers for intelligent vehicle: Smart Car Consumer, Reasonable Consumer, Safety Car Consumer, and Smart Device Consumer. Smart Car Consumer value the vehicle capability of intelligent vehicle as most important while Reasonable Consumer focus upon the economics of intelligent vehicle. Safety Car Consumer recognize the safety of intelligent vehicle as most important while Smart Device Consumer highly value the IT functions provided by intelligent vehicles. Across these four different types of consumers, preventing injuries of intelligent vehicle drivers turned out to be the most common critical factor in assessing intelligent vehicle. Implications for the intelligent vehicle market is discussed at the end with further studies needed.

Research on Bridge Maintenance Methods Using BIM Model and Augmented Reality (BIM 모델과 증강현실을 활용한 교량 유지관리방안 연구)

  • Bridges, which are construction structures, have increased from 584 to 38,405 since the 1970s. However, as the number of bridges increases, the number of bridges with a service life of more than 30 years increases to 21,737 (71%) by 2030, resulting in fatal accidents due to basic human resource maintenance of facilities. Accordingly, the importance of bridge safety inspection and maintenance measures is increasing, and the need for decision-making support for supervisors who manage multiple bridges is also required. Currently, the safety inspection and maintenance method of bridges is to write down damage, condition, location, and specifications on the exterior survey map by hand or to record them by taking pictures with a camera. However, errors in notation of damage or defects or mistakes by supervisors are possible, typos, etc. may reduce the reliability of the overall safety inspection and diagnosis. To improve this, this study visualizes damage data recorded in the BIM model in an AR environment and proposes a maintenance plan for bridges with a small number of people through maintenance decision-making support for supervisors.

Customer Satisfaction Analysis of Smart Car Features Using the Kano Model : a Comparative Analysis of Similar Research Cases (Kano모형을 기반으로 한 스마트 카 기능의 고객 만족도 분석 : 유사 연구사례의 비교를 중심으로)

  • Purpose: This study aims to analyze why surveys of a single set of customer requirement result in different Kano analyses depending on the survey questionnaire designs. Methods: This study singled out 14 common features from four different questionnaires of two studies of Smart Car features and analyzed them using the Kano model. Several methods and devices were used: Group Comparison and Timko Index were applied; Kano Distribution Index, Timko Dispersion and Kano Conformity were newly introduced for the quantitative analysis; Correlations between Timko indices from different Kano questionnaires were conducted; Heuristic Splitting technic for reinforcing attribute categorization is introduced. Results: Correlation Coefficient proved strong positive relations among the three questionnaires, whose agreement degree of the resulting Kano attributes showed less than 10% when Indifferent was ignored. Heuristic Splitting on Timko charts enhanced the degree of the resulting Kano attributes up to 80%. Conclusion: Among the questionnaires the representation of customer requirements tends to move by parallel shifts on the Timko chart maintaining their relative locations. Heuristic Splitting suggests a rational solution to the interpretation of those inexplicable attribute categories resulting from traditional Kano methods.

  • 최근 IoT 기술이 대중화됨에 따라 커넥티드 카, 스마트 시티와 같은 machine-to-machine 기술의 활용 분야가 다양화되고 있다. 이에 따라, 기계 지향 비디오 처리 및 부호화 기술에 대한 연구분야에 산업계와 학계의 관심 역시 집중되고 있다. 국제 표준화 단체인 MPEG은 이러한 추세를 반영하여 기존 비디오 부호화 표준을 개선할 새로운 표준을 수립하기 위해 Video Coding for Machines (VCM) 그룹을 구성하여 기계 소비를 대상으로 하는 비디오 표준의 표준화를 진행하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 VCM이 기계 소비를 대상으로 진행하고 있는 특징맵 부호화의 부호화 효율을 개선하기 위해 특징맵을 시간적, 공간적으로 재정렬하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험 결과, 제안 방법이 CityScapes의 검증 세트 내 일부 이미지에 대해 시간적 재정렬을 수행한 결과 random access 조건에서 최대 1.48%의 부호화 효율이 향상됨이 확인되었다.

수직형 발광다이오드의 표면패턴 밀도 증가에 따른 광추출 효율 향상에 관한 연구

  • 최근 질화물계 발광다이오드(light emitting diode, LED) 소자는 핸드폰, 스마트 TV 등의 디스플레이 분야와 실내외조명, 감성조명, 특수조명 등의 조명분야에 그 응용분야가 급속히 확대되고 있다. 이러한 LED 소자는 에너지 절감과 친환경에 장점을 가지고, 가까운 미래에 조명시장을 대체할 것으로 예상된다. 이를 만족하기 위해서는 현재보다 더 높은 효율을 갖는 LED 개발이 요구되어지고 있는 상황이다. 일반적으로 질화물계 LED 소자의 효율은 내부양자 효율, 광추출 효율 등으로 나타낼 수 있다. 내부 양자효율은 성장된 결정의 질의 개선 및 다층의 이종접합 또는 다중양자우물 구조와 같이 활성층의 캐리어 농도를 높이는 접합구조로 설계되어 80% 이상의 효율을 나타낸다. 그러나 광추출 효율은 이에 미치지 못하고 있다. 이는 반도체 재료의 높은 굴절률로 인하여 빛이 외부로 탈출하지 못하고 내부로 반사되거나 물질 안에서 흡수가 일어나기 때문이다. 따라서 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 많은 연구 그룹들은, 표면에 패턴 형성하여 빛의 전반사를 줄여 그 효율을 올리는 연구결과를 보고하고 있다. 대표적인 방법으로는 wet etching, 전자빔 리소그라피, 나노임프린트 리소그라피, 레이저 홀로 리그라피, 나노스피어 리소그라피 등이 사용되고 있다. 이 중, 나노스피어 리소그라피는 폴리스틸렌 혹은 실리카 등과 같은 나노 크기의 bead를 사용하여 반도체 기판 표면에 단일층으로 고르게 코팅한 마스크로 사용하여 패턴을 주는 방법이다. 이 방법의 장점으로는 대면적에 균일한 패턴을 형성할 수 있고, 공정비용이 저렴하여 양산하기에 적합하다는 특징이 있다. 나노스피어 리소그라피를 통해서 표면에 생성된 패턴 모양의 각도에 따라서, 식각되는 깊이에 변화에 따라 실험한 결과들은 있지만, 아직까지 크기가 다른 나노입자들의 마스크 이용하여 형성된 패턴 밀도에 따른 광 추출 효과에 대한 연구가 많이 미흡하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 다양한 크기의 실리카로 패턴을 형성시켜 패턴 밀도에 대한 광추출 효율의 효과에 대해서 조사하였다. 실험 방법으론, DI, 에탄올, TEOS, 암모니아의 순서대로 그 혼합 비율을 조정하여 100, 250, 500 nm 크기의 나노입자를 합성하였고 이것을 질화물계 LED의 표면 위에 단일층으로 스핀코팅 방법을 통해 코팅을 하였다. 그 후 ICP-RIE 방법으로 필라 패턴을 형성하였는데, 그 결과 100 nm SiO2 입자를 이용한 경우 $4.5{\times}10^9$/$cm^2$, 250 nm의 경우 $1.4{\times}10^9$/$cm^2$, 500 nm의 경우 $0.4{\times}10^9$/$cm^2$의 패턴의 밀도를 보여주었다(Fig. 1). 패턴의 밀도에 따라 전계광학적 특성을 확인하여 보았는데, 그 결과는 평평한 표면과 비교하였을 때 100 nm에서 383%, 250 nm에서는 320%, 500 nm에서는 244% 상승하는 결과를 보여주었다(Fig. 2). 이번 실험을 통해서 LED의 광추출 효율은 표면 모양과 깊이 뿐 아니라 밀도가 커질수록 그 효율이 올라간다는 사실을 알 수 있었다.

A Driver's Driving Behavior Measurement using Smart Phone (스마트폰을 활용한 운전자의 운전행위 측정)

  • In recent days, a Connected Car has caught an attention of the motor companies and various industrial institutes such as communication company. An automobile is regarded as a device and has been developed as an interactive system because the system is connected with various device. This drives a new business item, too. As a new automatic car technology is emerging, a new type of car accident is appeared, too. So, many researches for preventing car accident comes from the driver's are carried out in many car related institutes. In this paper, we study a driver's driving workload and develop an algorithm that measures the driver's driving behavior. We can see that the developed algorithm runs well by the experiment of road test. This results affects various road condition, driver's driving behavior and load that reflects the driver's status.

Development of Optimum Construction Lift Operation System using Sensing Information for High-rise Building (센싱정보를 활용한 초고층 건설용 리프트 최적화 운행 시스템 개발)

  • As recent buildings have been more higher and larger, construction vertical lifting planning and operation is a key factor for successful project in tall building. Although many studies have been trying to set up a construction lifting planning system at early stage, there's not existing a control real-time lift operation control system with respect to during construction stage. Therefore, In this study, we use the sensor device to collect the lift operating data for improvement of lift operation efficiency and develope optimum lift operating system which can perform real-time analysis. Finally, we verify the efficiency of proposed system through comparison between realtime operating data and simulated data using proposing system. In this paper, the proposed system show more efficient moving line compared with previous system. This can contribute to development of unmanned lift system.

A Study on Contents Sharing Mechanism based on Proxy Re-Encryption Scheme using the Smart Card (스마트카드를 이용한 프록시 재 암호화 기법 기반 콘텐츠 공유 메커니즘에 관한 연구)

  • OMA(Open Mobile Alliance) is one of the most active group about DRM technology in mobile device field. OMA announced an OMA-DRM v 2.1 standardization in 2007. After then OMA announced OMA-SRM(Secure Removable Media) and SCE(Secure Contents Exchanges) that are the extension of OMA-DRM v2.1. In SCE, a user can form user domain to share contents and rights. So the user can share contents and rights with not only the the OMA-DRM v2.1 but also home devices like mobile phones, personal computers and audios. In this paper, we analyze a sharing technology of OMA-DRM and SCE, and then propose key distribution method using proxy re-encryption and smart card to use shared contents and rights.
