This study focused on the concept of organizational learning as a prior variable of innovation activities, and reviewed the relationship between organizational learning, innovation and management performance. According to prior studies, the ability to perform these activities may be enhanced through organizational learning, as the success of the innovation requires activities to acquire and share knowledge within the organization. In other words, organizational learning is playing a role as a precursor to innovation. Therefore, in this study, the effects of organizational learning on management performance are to be verified through the mediation effect of product and innovation activities. Organizational learning provides various definitions and components for each scholar, but this study consisted of a series of knowledge acquisition, information distribution, information analysis and process memory using the framework of the learning ability analysis by Levitt and March(1988) and Huber(1991), Innovation was also divided into product innovation and process innovation, and measured with sub-variables such as presentation of new products and improvement activities to increase productivity. Management performance was measured as financial and non-financial performance. To verify the effects of the mediation, we used a three-step regression analysis procedure of Baron and Kenny(1986)'s and a sobel-test. Empirical studies show that organizational learning has a positive effect on management performance and that knowledge acquisition and information distribution, which are the early stages of learning activities in the lower variables, affect performance through product innovation. Based on the results of the above empirical study, the implications, limitations of the study and future research directions were presented.
This study explored the role and characteristics of music that contributed to experiences of catharsis in music. An empirical phenomenological study was conducted to explore catharsis with 12 adults. Phenomenological reduction, change of attitude, literature interpretation, and hermeneutic circle were used for data collection and analysis. As a result, three categories, five themes, and 11 sub-themes were identified. The first category, here and now in music consisted of two themes: aesthetic experiences and expansion of musical novelty. The second category, inner connection through music consisted of one theme, re-experience of internal emotions. The third category, immersion and engagement in music consisted of two themes: ventilating or deepening of emotions and internal dynamics. Based on these results, the cathartic characteristics of music are discussed. First, the aesthetics and novelty of music kept participants fully stay in music. Second, music induced a re-experiencing of emotions by triggering memories or stimulating unresolved emotions. Third, the elements of music promoted emotional ventilation, deepening, and internal dynamics. This study is meaningful because it qualitatively examined the roles and characteristics of music that contribute to cathartic experience in the general adult population.

This study has produced a checker of the shortest path search problem with a total of 19 questions as a web-based computer evaluation based on the 'TRAFFIC' questions of PISA 2012. It is because the computer has been settled as an indispensable and significant instrument in the process of solving the problems of everyday life and as a media that is underlying in assessment. Therefore, information gifted students should be able to solve the problem using the computer and give clear enough commands to the computer so that it can perform the procedure. In addition, since it is the age that the computational thinking is affecting every sectors, it should give students new educational stimuli. The relationship between the rate of correct answers and the time took to solve the problem through the shortest route search process showed a significant correlation the variable that affected the problem solving as the difficulty of the question rises due to the increase of nodes and edges turned out to be the node than the edge. It was revealed that information gifted students went through algorithmic thinking in the process of solving the shortest route search problem. And It could be confirmed cognitive characteristics of the information gifted students such as 'ability streamlining' and 'information structure memory'.
Recently, an on-chip compressed cache system was presented to alleviate the processor-memory Performance gap by reducing on-chip cache miss rate and expanding memory bandwidth. This research Presents an extended on-chip compressed cache system which also significantly expands main memory capacity. Several techniques are attempted to expand main memory capacity, on-chip cache capacity, and memory bandwidth as well as reduce decompression time and metadata size. To evaluate the performance of our proposed system over existing systems, we use execution-driven simulation method by modifying a superscalar microprocessor simulator. Our experimental methodology has higher accuracy than previous trace-driven simulation method. The simulation results show that our proposed system reduces execution time by 4-23% compared with conventional memory system without considering the benefits obtained from main memory expansion. The expansion rates of data and code areas of main memory are 57-120% and 27-36%, respectively.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as a significant air pollutant, is generated mainly from the burning of fossil fuels, building materials using painting, etc. The inhalation of a certain amount of VOCs can be deleterious to human health, e.g., headaches, nausea and vomiting. In addition, it can also cause memory loss and even increase the rate of leukemia. Therefore, as one of the methods for reducing VOCs in air, polyacrylonitrile/fly ash (PAN/FA) composite nanofibrous membranes were fabricated by electrospinning. To observe their VOCs adsorption capacity, the morphological structure of PAN/FA nanofibrous mats was investigated by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and the VOCs (chloroform, benzene, toluene, and xylene) adsorption capacity of PAN/FA membranes were tested by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The results indicated that the PAN nanofiber containing 40 wt. % FA powder had the smallest fiber diameter of 283 nm; they also showed the highest VOCs adsorption capacity compared to other composite membranes.

Memristor is a new kind of memory device whose resistance varies depending upon applied charge and whose previous resistance state is preserved even when its power is off. Ordinary memristor has a nonlinear programming characteristics about time when a constant voltage is applied. For the easiness of programming, it is desirable that resistance is programmed linearly about time. We had proposed previously a memristor bridge configuration with which weight can be programmed nicely in positive, negative or zero. In memristor bridge circuit, two memristors are connected in series with different polarity. Memristors are complementary each other and it follows that the memristance variation is linear with respect to time. In this paper, the linearization effect of weight programming of memristor bridge synapse is investigated and verified about both $TiO_2$ memristor from HP and a nonlinear memristor with a window function. Memristor bridge circuit would be helpful to conduct synaptic weight programming.
This paper investigates the transmission of food as an intangible cultural heritage and tries to answer what maintains and promotes traditional food culture, though researching into the specific example of 'making traditional soy sauce.' For that, I chose three different cases to research into the continuation and change in the transmission of traditional soy sauce making. The first instance is when the informant makes traditional soy sauce by herself. The second example is when the informant makes traditional soy sauce with ready-made soybean lumps.The last case is that people sharing the same ideology about food organize a community('kye') and make soy sauce together each year and reserve 'seed soy sauce.' This is a new type of food community. The changes in tools and skills, in production and consumption, and in food communities caused changes in the transmission of traditional soy sauce making. Because of these factors, the way of making traditional soy sauce is changing a lot. The informants, however, believed that the tradition of 'making soy sauce' will last, as far as the taste of soy sauce made in the traditional method stays the same. Therefore, we need to make an effort to sustain communities of people who remember and enjoy the taste of traditional soy sauce in order to keep the tradition of making traditional soy sauce.
This study examined the impact of direct structured approach of students who demonstrate little or no sense of basic engineer concepts in physics courses. This direct structured instruction is one of the methodologies that focuses on explicit and systematic practices in which an instructor set clear learning outcomes and clarifies the direction of the instruction. 90 participants were randomly selected and tested on the areas of problem-solving skills, reasoning, working memory, and processing speed. 20% of the participants were found to be students with basic engineering disabilities. On the other hand, in the direct structured group, 51.7% and 58.0% of the sample group (90 students) showed a 6.3% increase from the mid-term to final examinations, respectively. The subgroups with 50% or lower grades were decreased from 26.7% to 24.5%. However, five students with the lowest grade of 20% were selected as students with learning disabilities in the study and the average scores of mid-term and final exams were increased by 8.6%, which was 17.9% and 26.5%, respectively at the end of the study. As a result, it showed that direct structured approach for students with learning disabilities in the engineer concepts was effective.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the home economics education items in the teacher recruitment examination for secondary school. To achieve the purpose, all the home economics education items, which were carried out for seven times from the school year 2001 to the most recent year 2007, were compared and analyzed. The form of items was analyzed by frequency and rate. Behavioral domain of items was analyzed by content analysis. In this study, some recommendations were suggested for the quality of home economics education items through discussion of science education and society education items, which were abstracted from the school year 2001 to the most recent year 2007. The results of this study were as follows. First, the score ratio of home economics education items was fluid as 20-30% from the school year 2001 to 2004 but it fixed as 30-35% since the school year 2005. In subcategory of home economics education, curriculum items accounted for highest ratio(43%). In the next thing, items of teaching-learning method(35%), evaluation(19%) and philosophy(3%) related to home economics education were followed in order. Second, the form of home economics education items was coexistent form of single item and subordinate item from the school year 2001 to 2004. But it was changed into form of single item by 100% since the school year 2005. Third, regarding the content of home economics education items, most of the curriculum items were related to the content of the 7th National Curriculum. Teaching-learning method items were taken mostly from model of teaching-learning. Evaluation items were taken mostly from performance assessment. Philosophy items related to home economics education were taken only from Habermas's three systems of action on the school year 2005. Fourth, about behavioral domain of home economics education items, most of the curriculum items were level of 'simple knowledge or memory'. Therefore, it was suggested that behavioral domain of curriculum items had to be changed into 'complex knowledge or comprehension and application'. The behavioral domain of teaching-learning method items and education evaluation items was mostly 'complex knowledge or comprehension and application'. However, to bettering the items it was suggested that the behavioral domain of them has to be changed 'comprehension' into more 'application'. Fifth, regarding the coverage of home economics education items, curriculum items were limited only superficial content of the 7th National Curriculum. Therefore, it was suggested that coverage of curriculum items had to be extended to theoretical content, which was philosophical background and various principles of curriculum. It was suggested that coverage of teaching-learning method items had to be extended to the content including various teaching-learning theories and the practical reasoning home economics instruction proved effective as home economics instruction recently. Evaluation items were taken mostly from performance assessment. Therefore, it was suggested that coverage of evaluation items had to be extended to analysis of evaluation result, item validity and reliability, and evaluator's philosophical perspective.

Since late 2016, protectionism has been a major trend in world trade with the Great Britain exiting the European Union and the United States electing Donald Trump as the 45th president. Consequently, there has been a huge public outcry regarding the negative prospects of heavy industry firms in Korea, which are highly dependent upon international trade with Western countries including the United States. In light of such trend and concerns, we have tried to predict business performance of heavy industry firms in Korea with data regarding trade policy of the United States. United States International Trade Commission (USITC) levies countervailing duties and anti-dumping duties to firms that violate its fair-trade regulations. In this study, we have performed data analysis with past records of countervailing duties and anti-dumping duties. With results from clustering analysis, it could be concluded that trade policy trends of the Unites States significantly affects the business performance of heavy industry firms in Korea. Furthermore, we have attempted to quantify such effects by employing long short-term memory (LSTM), a popular neural networks model that is well-suited to deal with sequential data. Our major contribution is that we have succeeded in empirically validating the intuitive argument and also predicting the future trend with rigorous data mining techniques. With some improvements, our results are expected to be highly relevant to designing regulations regarding heavy industry in Korea.
