From this research, we want to get results that have interested the difference from character of students with the motivation of the learning, confidence and habit through the activity oriented class. When teacher teach students of the learning disability with participant class and activity class, they have encouraged and have positive disposition about mathematics. Therefore teachers should try to give chance doing in mathematics class to students with learning disability.

If a learner should fail to complete previous courses before moving on to the next level will face difficulty keeping up with it. Such personal tuition for those having trouble coping with their class is an issue that needs urgent addressing, which cannot be a burden only to teachers, this study has been conducted to sought for a solution. This study has developed and put into application a web based analyzing system to assess the area of deficit in students followed by obliterating accumulated learning deficits to impart assistance for their study. The subject of the study comprised of ten students from a school where the researcher is on duty and the field of assessment with the analyzing system were numbers and calculations. As a result, we could find out its efficiency in elevating their capability and interest in learning, which was proven to be statistically significant using ANOVA.

Exercise is still an important method for mathematics learning and teaching, but there is only a few researches which involve the effectiveness of exercise in mathematics learning. This study is designed for giving some implications to researchers who are interested in developing mathematics exercise books for low achievers with respect to effectiveness. For this, 'Suhak-Ikhimchaek', the Korean elementary mathematics workbook, is chosen and in particular, 'multiplication number fact', one of the units of the book, is analyzed with the following respects: achievement levels of learners, arrays of exercise, the amounts and period of exercise, exercise type. Finally, this study proposes composing principles for developing exercise books for low achievers in mathematics.

‘수학을 한다는 것은 수학자가 하는 것처럼 하는 것이다.’ 이 말은 여러 번의 시도와 실패를 반복해 가면서 ‘왜 이렇게 될까?’ 라는 의문을 가지고 여러 가지 창의적인 수학적 사고를 먼저 해보고 문제를 대하는 것을 뜻한다. 생활 속의 수학 문제는 바로 이 점에서 시사하는 바가 크다. 이런 수학 문제를 풀 때 학생들은 수동적이 아닌 능동적인 논리적 사고를 한다. 본 연구에서는 대학 입시제도로 인해 지금까지의 수학을 암기위주로 수동적으로만 학습하였던 수학 부진학생들에게 생활과 연관된 수학문제들을 제시함으로써 수학 우수 학생과 비슷한 능동적 구성활동을 유발할 수 있었으며 수학 부진 학생들과 우수 학생들의 지금까지 배운 수학 학습의 전이에 어떤 요인이 영향을 주었는지를 조사하였다.

This paper analyzed about gender difference in the achievement of underachievers of high school students while learning using technology. Participants were composed of 67 underachievers on first grade in high school located in a metropolitan city. That had never used a mathematics educational calculator before. Target participants were divided into two groups: experiment group that studied activity papers with a CAS calculator. And control group that studied the same activity papers using only paper-and-pencil. The content of the activity papers for the two groups was the same, but the structure differed. The two groups completed mathematics achievement tests both before and after the activity papers. The results are that find out no difference of the mathematics achievement between boys and girls in each group, and that the mathematics achievement of boys in experiment group are better than one of boys in control group, and also girls.

칠판과 분필만을 이용한 증명 위주의 기하 수업을 탈피하여 현장에서 사용할 수 있는 능동적인 교수${\cdot}$학습에 한가지 방법을 제시하고자 수학에 자신감이 없는 고등학교 1학년 학습 부진아를 대상으로 컴퓨터 프로그램, Tess를 이용하여 학생의 변환 개념에 대한 이해도를 조사하였다. 또한, 테셀레이션을 직접 만들어 가는 과정을 통하여 타 교과와의 수학적 연결성을 이해하고, 수학의 실용성과 실생활과의 연관성, 도형의 아름다움을 학생이 스스로 찾고, 발견하는데 초점을 두었다. 우리의 전통 문양도 수학교육에 충분히 이용될 수 있다는 사실을 확인할 수 있었고, 학생의 수학에 대한 태도가 크게 향상됨을 알 수있었다.

How to enhance the ability of underachieve students are unsolved problems for mathematics teachers despite of their best efforts to teach them. The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of mathematical journal writing as a method of improving the mathematical attitudes and achievements for underachieve students. Seven students whose performances were below 40% on the final exam in the 1st semester were recruited in order to gather empirical data. Before journal writing procedures, the subjects' characteristics, learning styles and mathematical attitudes were investigated through personal interview and mathematical attitude test. After six-week journal writing, follow-up survey and mathematical attitude test were conducted. The results of this research are as follows: Mathematical journal writing had a positive effect to underachieve students on improving confidence in mathematics and a positive influence on active and effective learning attitude. And mathematical journal writing had an effect on improvement in their mathematics achievement comparing first semester's final exam with second semester's mid-term exam. Finally mathematical journal writing contributes positively to the relationship between students and their teacher.

The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of graphic calculator in the teaming of function of the underachieved students in the second grade of middle school. Under this purpose of the study, we devised the instruction-plan which incorporates the using of graphic calculator into the traditional paper-and-pencil teaming environments, and executed the function-instruction with the underachieved students according to the devised instruction-plan. During the lesson hours, we observed and analysed the contributions and the carefulness of using graphic calculator in the learning of function of the underachieved students. Furthermore, we carried out the pre-test and the post-test to examine the effects of using graphic calculator in the learning of function of the underachieved students.

This study is to figure out the activity of individual education with the note-taking in math class and correction and supportive explanations on attitudes toward learning of underachievers in mathematics in the second-year class of high school. This study has begun on the basis of the judgement that the note-taking especially correction and supportive explanations could help the underachievers in mathematics focus in class and develop good learning habits, and besides, students make a good relationship with teacher. According to this result, Many researches and exertions need to inform every student that mathematics is open and doing mathematics is a happy object. if the students who are underachievers were given the chance to organize their learning by themselves in the class with note-taking and correction and supportive explanations in the long-term, it should be effective enough to change their attitudes toward learning.

본 사례 연구는 수학 교사로서 연구자가 학급에서 중간 정도의 학업 성적을 가지면서 특히 언어 영역이 상위의 학생이 수학 성적에서는 최하에 있는 수학 학습 부진을 보이는 한 여학생을 선정하여 매일 수학을 가르치면서 이 학생의 수학 학습의 부진 요인에 대한 해답을 찾고자 했다. 본 연구에서는 비구조화된 인터뷰, 관찰기록, 전화, 이메일, 부모와의 인터뷰이며, 객관적인 자료를 위해 수학 기본능력 검사, 수학 내신성적, 대학수학능력 모의고사, 진로탐색 검사 등의 자료를 수집하였다. 이렇게 수집된 모든 자료를 일기 형식의 연구 일지에 기록하여 이 학생의 변화에 대한 기록을 하였다. 본 연구에 따르면, 이 여학생은 낮은 지능과 잘못된 계열 선택, 기초학습 및 선수학습의 결손, 학교와 학급에 대한 부적응, 교사와 학생간의 부정적인 인간관계, 수학교과에 대한 불안감, 학습 실패 경험의 누적에 의한 자신감 상실, 학생의 능력 수준을 고려하지 않은 부모의 높은 기대치 등의 요인에 의해 수학 학습에서 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
