The Adoption Model of Institutional Repositories: Which Constructs Attract Scientists to Share Their Research Outputs? (기관리포지터리 수용모형 연구: 과학분야 연구자를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an adoptive model of institutional repositories (IRs) by identifying the key factors affecting adoptive intention of IRs and explaining the relations among these factors. Through a survey of 270 researchers and 12 in-depth interviews in the field of physics, mathematics, and life science in Korea, performance expectancy, perceived risks, socio-organizational influence, and individual characteristics were found to have substantial influences on the adoptive intention of IRs. Among the key factors, individual characteristics showed the greatest effect on the adoptive intention of IRs, followed by performance expectancy and other socio-organizational influences except for the perceived risks. Strategies to enhance the adoptive intention of IRs based on analyses of the results were suggested, in terms of the reformation of research assessment system at the national level, strengthening of role of the operational institution, and the need for voluntary scientists-participating service.

Robust Parameter Estimation using Fuzzy RANSAC (퍼지 RANSAC을 이용한 강건한 인수 예측)

  • Many problems in computer vision are mainly based on mathematical models. Their optimal solutions can be found by estimating the parameters of each model. However, provided an input data set is involved outliers which are relative]V larger than normal noises, they lead to incorrect results. RANSAC is a representative robust algorithm which is used to resolve the problem. One major problem with RANSAC is that it needs priori knowledge(i.e. a percentage of outliers) of the distribution of data. To solve this problem, we propose a FRANSAC algorithm which improves the rejection rate of outliers and the accuracy of solutions. This is peformed by categorizing all data into good sample set, bad sample set and vague sample set using a fuzzy classification at each iteration and sampling in only good sample set. In the experimental results, we show that the performance of the proposed algorithm when it is applied to the linear regression and the calculation of a homography.

Extended Script Structure for Advertisement Game Development (광고형 게임 개발을 위한 확장 스크립트 구조)

  • This paper proposes the knowledge structure of an extended script for advertisement style game embodiment. This approach is able to allow for developing game and advertisement module. Research to reconsider contradictory awareness about existent game have been evolving from game education system, advertisement style game and simulation game for training and so on. In this paper, a situation hierarchy structure which allows the designer for simulating high-level specifications of game structure. And we describes with mathematical structure for proposed situation structure. Game unfolding utilizes with causality. Game reflects situation of a spatiotemporal real world. For this goal, we applied extended script to game world. Advertisement style module progresses by method to provide company's advertisement to user while game is gone. The advantage of proposed method are able to allows for novice to effectively insert banner image, video and so on into advertisement module. The proposed method was implemented in the "Shooting BaDuk" among games.

  • This paper looks into the measurement of modeling ability in different fields like science, mathematics, operations research and management science and emulates the ideas to system analysis and design where modeling is a very useful skill. An assessment tool was designed to measure the graphical modeling ability in systems analysis and design. It was administered to 92 students and submitted to 10 MIS experts and tested statistically for its reliability and validity.

  • 시뮬레이션(simulation)은 실 시스템(real system)의 효과적이고 효율적인 운영을 도모하기 위하여 실 시스템의 동작을 이해하고 분석, 예측, 평가하는 과학적인 문제해결 접근방법이다. 시뮬레이션 수행단계는 실 시스템의 행위를 정확히 반영하도록 타당한 모델을 구축하는 모델링 단계와 모델에 의도하는 명령어들을 컴퓨터 프로그램으로 작성하는 구현단계로 나누어진다. 시뮬레이션 모델은 시간, 상태, 확률변수, 상호규칙 등의 여러 관점에 따라 다양하게 존재하는데, DEVS(Descrete EVent system Specification) 모델은 연속적인 시간상에서 이산적으로 발생하는 사건에 따라 시스템의 상태를 분석할 수 있고 모델링 및 시뮬레이션 방법론의 형식화를 위한 견고한 이론적 기반을 제공하고 있다. 또한, DEVS 모델은 모듈적, 계층적 특성을 제공하고 집합론에 근거한 수학적 형식구조를 제공하여 실 시스템에 대한 체계적인 분석과정을 수행하게 되어 보다 현실적인 모델링을 가능하게 한다. 그러나 타당하지 못한 DEVS 모델이 구축되면 시뮬레이션을 통한 분석결과의 신뢰성이 떨어져 아무런 효과가 없고 경제적인 손실만이 따른다. DEVS 모델에 대한 기존의 타당성 검사가 많은 시간과 노력이 요구되고, 반복적인 DEVS 모델링 과정으로 인한 전문적이고 경험적인 지식을 요구한다. 또한, 모델설계자에 의해 설정된 실험 프레임하에서 DEVS 모델의 구성요소에 속하는 상태전이함수, 시간진행함수 및 출력함수에 대하여 commutative 성질의 보전성 검사가 어렵다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사를 SPN(Stochastic Petri Net) 모델로 변환하여 SPN 모델을 이용하는 간단하고 효과적인 타당성 검사 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, DEVs 모델에 대한 개념과 기존의 DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사 방법을 고찰하고 그 문제점에 대하여 자세히 설명한다. DEVS 모델의 타당성 검사에 이용하는 SPN 모델에 대한 개념과 DEVS 모델과 행위적으로 동등한 SNP 모델로 변환을 위한 관점을 제조명하다. 동일한 관점에서 두 모델의 상태표현이 같도록 DEVS 모델이 SPN 모델로 표현됨을 보이는 변환이론을 제시하고 변환이론을 바탕으로 모델 변환과정을 제시한다. 모델 변환이론과 변환고정을 기본으로 타당성 검사를 위한 새로운 동질함수(homogeneous function)를 정의하고 이와 함께 SPN 모델의 특성을 이용하여 DEVS 모델에 대한 타당성 검사 방법을 새롭게 제안한다.

A Study on the Instructional Model utilizing Scratch for Introductory Programming Classes of SW-Major Students (SW전공자 프로그래밍 입문 수업의 스크래치 활용 수업 모형 연구)

  • The programming language is a core education area of software that is becoming increasingly important in the age of the fourth industrial revolution, but it requires mathematical knowledge and logical thinking skills, so that many local private university and college students with low basic skills are having difficulties learning it. This problem occasionally causes SW-major students to lose interest and confidence in their majors during the introductory course of programming languages; making them change their majors, or give up their studies. In this study, we designed an instructional model using Scratch for educating C-language which is a typical programming introductory language. To do this, we analyzed the concepts that can be trained by Scratch among the programming concepts supported by C-language, and developed the examples of Scratch for exercising the concepts. In addition, we designed an instructional model, by which the programming concepts are first learned through Scratch and then C-language is taught, and conducted an experiment on the SW-major freshman students of a local private university to verify the effectiveness of the model. In the situation where SW education is becoming common, we expect that this study will help programming language education of security IT students.

A Survey of Mongolian Secondary School Student's Attitude Toward Statistical Topic (몽골 중등학생의 통계 주제에 대한 태도조사)

  • The goal of this study was to analyze students' views about statistical themes in Mongolian secondary schools in Ulaanbaatar. To this end, 129 9th grade students were stratified random sampling at two secondary schools in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and a survey was conducted on them. The attitude survey focused on six factors contributing to the attitude: affective, cognitive competency, value, difficulty, interest, and student effort. The results show that students believed their statistical knowledge and skills have increased compared to the beginning of the courses. Furthermore, the survey revealed that they perceived statistics as neither an easy nor a difficult subject. Students' interest in statistics was neutral in general. These results suggest a need to develop effective and innovative statistical teaching and learning methods that can attract attention to statistical topics.

A Study on the Jewelry decorative pattern based on Wa-Dang in Unified Silla period (통일신라시대 와당을 모티브로 한 주얼리장식용 문양 연구)

  • This study was conducted on the premise of the development of cultural products using relic assets of traditional culture in a knowledge and information society led by culture and soft power. It was conducted in the context of exploring the possibility of cultural content products of Wa-Dang relics excavated from traditional architecture in the Unified Silla Period and expanding the scalability of commercialization motifs that are highly useful in jewelry design. First, the original form, material, use, size, meaning, and formative aesthetics of Wa-Dang were identified through literature and media research. Among the considered Wa-Dang, 10 types of Wa-Dang which represent the category and have values in modules and patterns were selected, and, then, circular images were extracted and modularized with a "formal simplification technique." Based on the "mathematical symmetry analysis technique," which is a method of systematizing pattern composition arrangement format. we derived a planar formative element that can be used in the development of the cultural content industry and jewelry design. In order to expand its usability in the jewelry industry in the future, it was presented as a 2D digital image. In the future, we hope more studies on the various cultural content industry utilizing the traditional culture will be carried out.

Chemistry teachers' perceptions on aims, contents, and evaluations of the 7th Chemistry I Curriculum and realities of instruction in classrooms (제7차 화학 I 교육과정의 목표, 내용 및 평가에 대한 화학교사들의 인식 및 수업의 실제)

  • The purpose of this research is to estimate the chemistry teacher's perceptions of Chemistry I course based on the 7th national curriculum through actual class teaching situations and interviews and teaching guidance of an actual class through a lesson and an interview. For this research, four chemistry teachers who have had an experience teaching the chemistry I course were selected. As the results of the research show, chemistry teachers had the correct understanding of the purpose of the Chemistry I course, but they were teaching the concepts of Chemistry II . They thought the reason for the teaching was the national scholastic aptitude test. But according to analysis, the contents of the previous tests were hardly beyond the limit of Chemistry I course. For this research, the chemistry teachers looked for the purpose of Chemistry I course based on the 7th curriculum only at the superficial views, and the teacher's wrong understanding about the tests disturbed the revelation of the spirit of Chemistry I course of the 7th national curriculum.

Analysis of the Content and Components of Consumer Competency Presented in Home Economics and Other Subjects of Middle School (중학교 가정교과와 타 교과에 제시된 소비자역량의 내용과 구성요소 분석)

  • This study aims to identify implications for the role of home economics in consumer education in middle schools focusing on building consumer competency. To this end, the content in middle school textbooks of home economics and other subjects, written according to the 2015 revised curriculum, were analyzed. This study examined consumer education content based on the consumer competency measurement index developed by the Korean Consumer Agency, and reviewed different foci presented by subjects. This study also investigated how the knowledge, attitude and practice, which are components of consumer competency, are presented. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows: First, consumer competency content, presented in textbooks of home economics and other subjects, were comprised of citizenship competency(65.3%), transactional competency(27%), and financial competency(7.7%). Second, in terms of content on the consumer's citizenship competency, little attention was paid to consumer rights, revealing an imbalance between responsibilities and rights. Third, despite its importance, the "utilization of information and communications technology" in transaction competency, and "consumer participation" in citizenship competency are insufficiently covered in the home economics. Fourth, social studies was the subject that most extensively covered the content of consumer competency. In terms of scope, home economics dealt with most of the sub-fields. Fifth, even when the same content of consumer competency was covered, it was presented differently by subject. Sixth, there was a lack of connection between components of consumer competency-knowledge, attitude, and practice, with a disproportionately high emphasis on knowledge. In conclusion, this study concluded that consumer education content of middle school subjects is insufficient to enhance consumer competency.
